A good solid visit. Rooms are very small but conveniently located close to downtown banff. Ski shuttles were regularly outside. Shower and pipes were VERY loud. You cannot sleep through it and the walls were paper thin as well. The Hot Pool was neat but much smaller than the photos and the sauna wasn't kept very hot either. Staff were nice enough and always available however, they didn’t seem very knowledgeable on any local activities or sights to see this time of the year. Mostly got redirected to available brochures, without much input.

She came back around 4 so we said don’t bother. The TV’s are not smart TV’s so you have to rely on crappy cable TV :( A TV upgrade to smart TV’s would be nice!

The room was fine and the grotto is cool. But the place is very noisy. Our room had a door that attached to the walk up rooms from the outside and we could hear them all night. We could also hear people walking at all hours and slamming their doors since the doors all face into a courtyard. For the amount of money I would stay somewhere a bit newer that is likely quieter. It was a mom weekend away and I slept worse than I do with the kids around.

It was on the inside where the side table was so it wasn’t as if we could just use the other side of the bed to get in and out etc. We left note with the maid staff hoping they could maybe help when remaking the beds, but we also brought it to the attention of the front desk staff. They radioed someone but when we went back to our room at the end of the day, nothing had been done but the bed had been made.

Friendly, helpful staff made our visit enjoyable. We booked a king 1-bedroom suite and the layout was perfect for our 5-night stay. Hot tub was perfect. This hotel is the third one in the ski bus stop, so we never ran into a problem making it in the bus and didn’t have a long wait for other stops on the return. Hotel is a bit dated, but it was very clean and beds were comfy.

The staff at the front desk were awful. Just one in particular who I believe is the supervisor according to his name tag. We called to see if we could get an early check in and had the nicest person on the phone who said we could but then when we arrived this guy was so rude and seems very annoyed we asked for one. Once in our room we called down to ask if there were towels down by the pool and he was very annoyed with our question, horrible horrible customer service and we won’t stay again.

I had an excellent stay overall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the attached restaurant was a major disappointment. It took nearly two hours to get my steak fajitas, and when they finally arrived, they were burnt. The place wasn’t even busy—lots of open tables—so the delay and quality were surprising. Great hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant.

The hotel is close enough to downtown to walk, but with a bus stop right out front it was nice to have the option to ride as well, much easier with 3 kids in tow.
