As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Brad who offered to carry my bags and explained a lot of information about the local area, and said if I needed anything to just let him know. The building is easily accessible from the car park with the use of a key card which allows you to come and go at all hours. The room was amazing, clean, very modern and the bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. The room has everything you need such as smart tv, fridge and coffee machine. I honestly can’t fault this place, will definitely stay again if I am down this way again

The Tavistock House Hotel is a little gem within a world heritage listed historic stannary market town. We were warmly greeted by our host and escorted to a lovely decorated and well appointed room. A good choice of local eatery's is available within a short stroll. A tasteful continental breakfast was available to ready us for a day sightseeing in the town and local area. Highly recommended.

Brad was a lovely host, we were in the area for a family funeral and he made our stay stress free and very comfortable. Tavistock town centre is a quick walk along the road where you can buy local produce and gifts etc. locals were lovely and friendly as well. The hotel was very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. All facilities were great.

A great two night stay. I had a quiet room on the top floor. Bit of a climb up two flights of stairs so not for those who have mobility issues but it was fine for me. The room was spacious and well appointed and modern and clean. Shower was a double size and rain head shower. bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and coffee maker in the room.

Tavistock House Hotel may be small but, so classy. Attention to detail in bed and public rooms, second to none. I especially appreciated fresh milk for my tea, rear car park and it overlooks the tennis courts so is quiet but close to the town centre.

I stayed in the the king deluxe en-suite decoration and interior was superb. I thought the goody box of treats which include ‘biscuits’ ‘hot chocolate’ tea/coffee was a nice touch. The bed was so so comfy with the edition of Nespresso coffee machine and small bottle of port in the room we found this a nice touch. Breakfast excellent and they had alternatives to milk if required. The hosts are very friendly. It was nice to be able to park in their private car park. Fabulous Hotel
Bradley the owner couldn't have done anymore to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard and is one of the nicer hotels i have stayed in over the last few years. Rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable, shower is a rainfall type and large, and there are plenty of the usual amenities in the room to keep you comfortable and entertained. Breakfast was also very good and with the current Covid environment the table service was comparable to a top restaurant. Needless to say that i will stay here again.

Tavistock is an attractive and convenient town from which to explore beautiful Dartmoor and south and north Devon. Tavistock House has been carefully renovated by its owner. It is comfortable, immaculate and easily accessible, and Brad is an attentive and helpful proprietor. The only drawback is a lack of parking on site, but the processes involved in approvals for changes to this heritage-listed property have been onerous.

Amazing hotel, beautifully designed, every little detail has been thought about. The beds were so comfortable, and bedding lovely. Fantastic showers. Breakfast was delicious and flexible to your requirements. Owners and staff were lovely, they made great recommendations for local restaurants, and couldn't do enough for you, even blocking out a parking space for us when we arrived and watching out for us.

Wonderful hotel from arriving to leaving just excellent. Lovely building beautifully decorated as were our rooms/bathrooms with everything you needed in them. The owners friendly and professional on hand as and when needed which included breakfast which couldn’t be faulted. Recently renovated and close to excellent restaurants. The Cornish Arms and Taylor’s were terrific. Brad let us park in the unloading garage overnight which was helpful. So many sights to see around the region so I wish we had stayed more than 2 nights. The honesty bar is well stocked and cooked breakfasts well done.
