Everything was perfect, spa facilities were lovely and relaxing and spotlessly clean. As was our apartment, the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Food was excelent both in the evening and breakfast.

The room was clean and tidy with all amenities. However, a table was reserved for the brasserie restaurant, we arrived on time, but the table was given to someone else, who did not even have a meal just drinks. The staff were not helpful and seemed unable to sort out the situation.

Very impressed with the accommodation, was expecting a family room but we were provided with an appartment that was spacious and comfortable for our short stay. Also did not realise the reasonable cost included access to the spa and pool which were fantastic. The spa had lots to do including 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, various cold shower settings and a caribean storm shower?! We were also pleasently surprised by the gym which was well kitted out and felt new.

There were just a few minor feedback points that I hope are helpful. I don't drink coffee or caffeine and I used my own as the selection was limited. Also there was no milk option for coffee, in the room. It must be tricky to keep on top of the breakfast when there's families staying - I was waiting for the eggs for a while and had actually finished my breakfast by the time they arrived which was mildly disappointing, the breakfast otherwise was lovely!
On a positive note the bed was very comfortable and apartment really spacious - I was able to get some relief from my husband snoring on the sofa in a separate room which was great!

Best kept secret
This was our first visit. What a surprize! Rooms are large in the apartment, well kitted out from Cornish Tea and Coffee with fresh milk in the fridge to a ironing board! Everything spotlessly clean. The reception staff were well above average, nothing was an issue. In fact they couldn't have been more friendly. Huge pool, excellent for exercise. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use it much, likewise for the Spar. Food looked good and the bar well stocked, again friendly staff.

The hotel is just over the Tamar Bridge, one side of the bridge is Devon and the other Cornwall. The hotel is in a good location to explore to South West. We went to Plymouth, Padstow, Looe, Polperro and Liskeard.
The hotel is great for children. There’s a play area, a great pool with a slide and adventure golf. We didn’t do the adventure golf as it would have been £24 for a family of two adults and one child and we felt that was too much. My daughter really enjoyed the pool and slide. There’s a little soft play too, that closed at 8 and a lot of families were disappointed it was closed so early.
We had a self catering apartment. It had everything you wanted but the oven is really old and all the signs on it had rubbed off so we had to spend ages working out how to use it properly.
The beds were comfortable, my only grumble was that I could hear the people above us and the ground maintenance crew start early. So one lazy morning we got awoken at 7.30 by what sounded like a grass cutter is something going behind the building.
Overall the stay was really good and the positives outweighed the negative. I’m sure we’ll be back at some point in the future.

Club is situated on a large site with plenty of space and nice scenery, with the open spaces of the golf course adding to its character. We stayed in 2 bed cottage which had all the amenities needed, though a better shower would have been nice. The access to the club facilities was an excellent addition and we made use of the pool, spa and racket sport courts and even at its busiest, it didn’t feel too overcrowded. We paid extra for the adventure golf and driving range ( some form of trial or discount voucher for residents would have been appreciated). Overall a lovely property in Cornwall and the on-site restaurant had very good options.

Fantastic stay for families with kids. Lots to do, with inside swimming pool, SPA treatments, Softplay, mini golf, play park and gym! Nice rooms with doors seperating the lounge from the main bedroom.

Everything was perfect again, except sheets provided for spare bed was covered with dog hair. When we phoned the reception, first they said it is late(9pm) and they don’t have it. Then they said give them some time and come and collect from reception, then 5min later they ended up bringing it to our room. That was our second time there. The facilities at this country club were lovely, and we really enjoyed how clean and comfortable our luxury apartment was. However, the food definitely let the club down and really wasn't worth what we paid. The breakfast was below average, and the morning serving unit was dirty. The coffee was just from a machine, which was broken and sprouted milk everywhere. If the food was better, we would have been returning, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The swimming pool was good but the spa was very busy. The flumes were also shut on the Sunday morning so our children couldn't use them which was disappointing.
