Having stayed at this hotel approximately a dozen times it’s been the last few visits that I have to ask every evening for clean towels and coffee refills! They then still don’t give the room any attention! Light bulbs missing from bedside lights! Very basic maintenance and housekeeping!

For the price i expected better: Paid for the lounge access as part of the room, but they did not load it onto the card, had to ask, so if course wasn't introduced to where it was. No introduction on where to get breakfast. The room card would stop working every night so have to back to reception to reactivate. They did not read the note to have the sofa bed ready so there was no bedding on it.

Overall disappointing. Was given a nice room on ground floor. However, the room was freezing cold and barely warmed up an hour later. We were offered another room on same floor which was also cold. After much complaining a very helpful housekeeper reassured that YES, these ground floor rooms are the coldest but Receptionists are probably not aware. With her intervention and 2 hours later a warmer room was found. A free drink was offered. My conclusion is that IHG try to minimise heating costs of rooms pre-rental and try to 'play you off' by suggesting some guests like cold rooms so its a personal preference. I do prefer rooms to be cooler but certainly not like an igloo - p.s. it was also Valentines Night so not a night that I wanted to keep my coat on all evening. In the end, Receptionists resolved kindly and stresslessly (thank you) although there was a lot of unnecessary hassle that spoiled our arrival and evening

It was “good” not great. The stay was for six nights so we both had packed a suitcase as this was the first leg of a month journey. When we began unpacking we realized there was no place to put our clothes Yes there was a wardrobe with six hangers but the ironing board was also in there. We were told none of the rooms had dressers. Amazing as this is a conference center. Staff were apologetic but there was no resolution to this situation.

Parking is horrific, they have an auto system, that fines you even when you have paid, they will then refund you, but if its a hire car, Avis will have paid it and added an admin charge. sorting it was a horror show, while the hotel did cancel their side, their incompetence cost me hours with avis, and the hotel had no intention of actually doing anything helpful. driving though the car park is... don't have a large car. GET A DECENT CAR PARK.
Room was cold, a sad electric heater was in the room so they knew it was. Bathroom a bit grotty, several lights broken (they did come and fix). Coffee at breakfast was shockingly disgusting (think they got it from a burnt building).
there are better options down the road.

The room was large but the bathroom was ludicrously small. Sat on the loo & pressed against the shower, which when used sprayed the floor for lack of glass door. No storage for personal clothes apart from your own suitcase. Some hangers is all that is provided for. Not expected from a 4☆ hotel. Was my hotels of choice but not any more.

Overall very disappointing, the rooms very tired, and borderline dirty, non existent sound proofing, tiny bathroom for the premier room, lots of wasted space in the room. To get the hotel and Hotels.com to communicate has been one of the worst experiences I think I have ever experienced. For the prices charged, was expecting far better.

Great location, great view from the restaurant, spacious, clean room and friendly staff. But the food in the restaurant, while good, wasn't up to the hype surrounding it, and the bar refused to make a Manhattan cocktail for my wife, surely one of the easiest and most standard cocktails anywhere. Why? \"Because we're a corporate-owned property and the corporation does not permit us to make anything that's not on our standard menu.\" Do you have the ingredients? \"Yes, but we can't mix them.\" Can you sell us the four ingredients and let us mix them ourselves? \"Yes, but then I'd have to charge you for four drinks.\" This is not customer service, people. If you have a bar, especially a \"destination bar\" as you call it, you need to make the drinks people order, especially if they're as totally mainstream as a Manhattan.
Also, the underground car park is the tightest and most claustrophobic I've ever come across. We were driving a small SUV and found the clearances at every corner incredibly tight.

Had a couple of issues, the sink was blocked in the room and the ‘handy man’ didn’t work weekends consequently it remained blocked throughout our two night stay.
The battery in the tv remote was also on its last legs and didn’t want to work.
Both issues a little unfortunate especially having paid extra for a premium room but apart from that the hotel will remain my first choice when staying in Plymouth.

Hotel was lovely. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Family room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect. Was able to park the car and walk everywhere.
Being able to use the pool was great but I would suggest they had a swimming lane. We went after 8am due to having children but we all wanted to swim lengths. By 8.10 the pool was full of families with children with no respect for swimmers which was disappointing. Overall a lovely night away and I would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately the sofa bed was not made up and we had to ask three times for it to be done. Our room was very noisy from the extract fan so we moved for the second night and asked for the sofa bed to be made up in the second room, this time we had to ask twice. They were very understaffed to accommodate an awards evening that had a knock on for others staying in the hotel

Duvet was too hot and had them provide a sheet in addition.
Housekeeping button on the phone was absent and trying to get them through the front desk was impossible. Called 5 times and could not get a reply.
Safety holder in the shower was far to far from the showering area. I had to stretch to reach it.

Location, location, location.

Well located, comfortable hotel next to Plymouth Hoe. The room was large but the bathroom was a tad small, but very clean. Good view across the Barbican and I could see my car in the hotel car park. Nice lobby area where you can get a drink and a snack. The breakfast area is on the 11th floor with great views. The pool and sauna are a pleasant place to relax. My only criticism is that the air-conditioning was rather noisy.

For a four star hotel i was a bit disappointed. Very small bathroom, desk chair was very uncomfortable. I tried to call reception from room phone many times and it was never answered. Alao disappointed that parking is terrible and costs extra. Breakfast at weekends starts at 0730, and since i was working, I had to leave at 07.30 so I went hungry... not good enough. Sofa bed uncomfortable no choice of pillows neck breaking or use nothing, staff brought up linen, no duvet asked 3 times for duvet eventually came and ghe duvet didnt fit the sheet. Very dirty windows asked for a room high up to have a view but then cojldnt see much anyway.

Rubbish pool too shallow, its either sinking or there isn't enough water, you cant swim to the shallow end as your hands hit the bottom.

Lovely welcome by reception staff. Rooms clean, bed extremely large, if a bit soft but that is personal preference. Only thing that let the room down was the carpet had been cleaned by the threshold of the bathroom and was still very damp.

Great stay for a family

We stayed in a premium sea view room which had plenty of room for 2 adults, 1 child (who was very pleased to have a whole sofa bed to herself!) and a baby. Baby cot was set up as requested on our arrival.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was really nice and good temperature. We enjoyed a few free bits and pieces from the lounge bar - including milk for baby bottle (very handy).

Location was perfect - right next to the hoe, with a Tesco express shop just round the corner.

The only tiny thing was that the travel cot was very firm/hard - we added a towel underneath the sheet (baby 18 months) and she slept fine.

Overall a great experience and we would definitely return!

This crown plaza was excellent in every way except the underground car park which was very tight as the number of damaged concrete steps and posts testified to.
no doubt a regular user wold have found it easier. My sensors were going at every turn.
Maybe not the best driver but this was difficult.
On the plus front i can't see any damage so passed the test

The hotel was excellent, it was in prime location for the Hoe and also the town 5 mins walk away .
Would highly recommend anyone to use this hotel, only draw back there are no drawers in your room for clothing , there is a big double wardrobe with a iron and ironing board.

We stayed in the Standard Room with 1 King Bed and a Sofa Bed for 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfy. Their underground carpark was a bit narrow but very convenient. Also like their penthouse restaurant which has an excellent view.

Very quiet. I was in 503. An area that needs improvement is the bathroom tib design. Very difficult to enter and exit. If the shower foor could slide to rear of tub it would be easier. The tiled nox at back of toilet makes this hazardous. A person with the least mobility challenges may not get a bath or shower. I did not shower daily as I was afraid of falling.

Upgrade is Great!

The staff upgraded me to the 9/F. The room was huge with not one but two queen-sized beds. Unlike some hotels, there is a fridge in the room. They provided a total of 4 small bottles of water. In my opinion, that is a great little touch on a hot summer day.
Their free wifi is fast and smooth. It is even great for watching YouTube videos.
The shower was a little weak, but I don't recall a good shower at a hotel to begin with. Otherwise, the room was just quiet and comfortable.

A Minor Hiccup but still Good

This was my second stay within a week. Unlike my first night, they didn't upgrade me to a bigger, upper-level room. Still, the room I got on the 5/F was spacious and comfortable.
There was a minor issue with the shower drainage. Water just wouldn't drain properly. There was even a watermark on the carpet in front of the bathroom. I was surprised to learn that no one reported it when I told the front desk. Housekeeping should have seen the watermark on the carpet.
Regardless, it was a nice night of stay except for that little hiccup.
