This is an awesome place - lovingly created and cared for by the owners. There is beautiful art all around and the view is amazing. But keep in mind that it's not for everyone. It's set back on a hill in the jungle. Getting to the beach involves riding a bike 15-20 minutes or renting a scooter or car. We got a car. I wouldn't recommend it for seniors, young children or people with mobility issues. There are some steps down to the bathroom and the walkways can be a little tricky for older folks.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is perfect, the room was beautiful, and the view was simply stunning. You can really tell this place is a true labour of love, set within a gorgeous botanical garden that makes it feel so special and serene.

Nothing was ever too much trouble. When one of our tours was cancelled last minute, Nir was able to arrange a new private tour for us the very next day. The service and care were exceptional.

The small kitchenette was also a wonderful touch, perfect for relaxing evenings in after traveling for three weeks and the rum went down a treat!

We couldn’t recommend this place more highly. A truly memorable stay! 🌺

Rohotu stole my heart! A serene \"real\" sanctuary to rest your soul and delight in a truely natural, authentic, exotic stay! A one of a kind amazing experience where you melt into the local life! We enjoyed the use of the bikes where we could venture off to Matira beach, enjoy the stunning turqoiuse water and head back to our favorite restaurant, La Fermette! The owner, Nir is exceptionally warm, kind, knowledgable and welcomes you like family. Rohotu is his creation of many years devoted to every detail which exhibits artistic talent and an absolute love of his land. Thank you Nir...so blessed we were drawn to stay at Rohotu!

I hate giving great reviews on a hidden gem like this as it will book up before I can reserve another stay! This is absolutely one of the best most exotic places I have stayed. It is beautiful, private gardens filled with an impressive art collection of stone Tiki carvings. Completely hidden off the beaten path, but convenient to restaurants and the town. Each suite is its own small apartment with a full kitchen, bedroom and sitting area and an amazing bathroom that incorporates the garden right into it! Truly one of a kind location. Our host was amazing and helpful during our stay.

The owner Nir has created an incredible private hideaway for travellers seeking something different than your standard hotel accommodation. I was a solo traveller to Bora Bora and a physically active man in his late 50s, so the complimentary use of a bicycle to get to the supermarket etc really suited me. The stèep terrain to enter the property on foot was not an issue either for me personally. The bungalow was most definitely of 5 star standard with so many unique features. Spent 3 nights there without television and loved it. Felt like I was Ian Fleming in his Caribbean hideaway Goldeneye! I salute you Nir for creating pure escapism.

We booked the master lagoon view villa and it was truly one of the most amazing lodging experiences we’ve had. The space is magnificently designed with custom woodwork and a true collector’s menagerie of treasures. The outdoor shower is something from dreams. From the initial greeting from Nir, the owner, the experience began including a ride in his custom designed vehicle, a stop at the market for breakfast foods and snacks, and stories about the island. He provided a tour of his gorgeous and well thought out garden on the way to our villa and then a tour of the villa. He had bicycles for our use and assisted us with a ride to the car rental and to the beach. Transportation to and from the Rohotu Fare is included. Nir is available to answer any questions you might have. He’s very knowledgeable about the island. Hands down, staying at Rohotu Fare should be part of the mainland Bora Bora experience! Logistics wise, expect a 15 minute bicycle ride to and from the beach and bring a flashlight or headlamp for the ride back at night. Also pack bug spray. You will be in the jungle.

I can’t praise this place enough—it’s hands-down the best getaway we've ever had! The property itself is stunning, spacious, and completely one-of-a-kind. The hosts go above and beyond—they’re incredibly kind, helpful, and delightful. Guests can hop on the bikes they provide and enjoy a scenic ride to the beach, or pedal the other direction into town. A note for those with mobility concerns: there’s a short but steep walk up and down the mountain to reach the main road. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth keeping in mind. With all that said, if we are to return to Bora Bora we we’ll definitely be coming back here!

Great boutique alternative to 5 star properties

Rohotu Fare is a wonderfully unique, boutique accommodation option on Bira Bora. Nir is a wonderful host with lots of knowledge to share. He also makes it very easy to organise dinner at various locations with transport organised and (most times) included. A great value option compared to a lot of the 5 star properties that frankly, are extraordinarily expensive and charge ridiculous premiums for the honeymooning Americans.

This was such an incredible and unique (in a good way!) place to stay. The owner, Nir, has really built his dreams out here. The grounds are literally a botanical garden hideaway, and he has built 4 amazing bungalows.

The thing that really stood out, though, was the level of service. He and his family live on the property and will do anything - literally - to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. He drove us places, dropped us off, picked us up, gave us advice, and even let us borrow a car! We got a free upgrade to the brand new luxury bungalow for no reason at all. It has a fully stocked bar and an unbelievable view.

I had no complaints at all about this stay. Perfect for getting away from it all.

Rohotu Fare, a must stay in bora bora.

My partner and I had a wonderful 4 day stay at Rohotu fare. Tiare took care of picking us up from the airport and dropping us off at the lodge. The lodge is 10 minutes by walk to town in one direction and about 10-15 minutes by walk to the beach in the opposite direction.

It was a peaceful time for both of us at the lodge surrounded by the beautiful garden that is well maintained. The rooms themselves have a beautiful view of the bay, outdoor toilet and shower which was my favourite way to unwind surrounded by the beautiful manicured garden.

Nir was a very accomodating host and was always keen for a chat to help us around the island and share stories with us. He was easily reachable by email and booked all our activities for us.

Rohotu Fare is a magical place that i will not forget about soon and i hope that i can return to in the future.

This is one of a kind property. We have travelled a lot and this would rate close to, if not at the top.
Nir the owner has done an amazing job with his cottages to the point there has been articles written about them in travel magazines. The bathroom in particular is phenomenal.
Nir is also extremely attentive to all the guests needs, going out if his way to help.
Definitely staying there again when coming back to Bora Bora!!!

A unique stay in luxury.

What an Amazing Place...Forget about overwater bugalows they are so yesterday. This place is the bees knees, the creme de la creme of accommodation options on the island. The jungle setting is exciting and interesting with all the plants and art placed and curated by the host, Nir. We stayed for 2 weeks and noticed something new every day. The Fare itself is quirky and luxurious. The four poster bed was so comfortable , the sheets, oh so soft. The bathroom is a work of art. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. I cannot recommend this place enough, you have to see it to believe it.

I read what a great host Nir
You could not ask for a better host than Nir. He does all he can to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The suites are amazing! We had a lot of rain during our visit, but we enjoyed sitting in the living area/ kitchen, which is covered outside. We sat out there, had a cocktail, and listened to the rain. The pictures of the suites speak for themselves, but it's even more amazing. Nir has put a lot of work into the suites' decor and the surrounding garden lush greenery. Our kitchen/ dining area was open except for one wall and the building of our interior room. The bathroom is also open on one wall and the roof (there's a fence) , with beautiful greenery and stone work. Nir is eco friendly, using recycled material when possible. I'm just amazed at this place. To make your trip enjoyable, with no surprises, I will leave some important tips that we learned from our trip. You will definitely want to rent a car.

Everything about our stay was perfect! Nir is the most amazing host we've ever had. The little \"hideaway\" is small, and that makes the Bora Bora experience so much more unique and personalized. They picked us up from the boat ferry and brought us to the grocery store before we checked in to the bungalow. With Nir's knowledge of the island, we ate at only the best places and visited the best spots. Nir made all our reservations and arranged for the transportation, helped us come up with an itinerary for the week, and was always so pleasant to talk with.

We loved the view from our bungalow (STUNNING--waaay better than an over-the-water bungalow). We used the bikes available to get most places (though Nir was always available to drive us), and we loved that. We'd recommend this stay to absolutely anyone!

We had an incredible stay at Rohotu Fare. We were there for 4 nights during our honeymoon and Nir made sure that we were extremely well taken care of.

Food and Activities:
-He helped us get dinner reservations every night, organized a tour for us and even a couples massage in our room.
-There was a kitchen in our room and they took us by the store on our way in so that we could grab some things to have breakfast on our deck. It was the perfect way to start each morning.

Transportation:
-They picked us up at the (free) airport ferry, dropped us off at the ferry to go to our next hotel, and made sure that we had transportation to our dinner/activities each night
-They also provided bikes that we borrowed every day to bike around the island and go to lunch, the store and the beach. Without the bikes it would have been a 20-30 min walk to the beach in one direction and the store in another- so the bikes were extremely helpful.

The room:
-The room was incredible. The shower (and rest of the bathroom) is outside but protected by beautiful plants and it felt like a dream.
-A/C worked great
-Truly incredible view

Overall:
This was the perfect start to our time in Bora Bora. 4 nights here allowed us to explore the main island, do some activities, relax on the beach and eat like a local. After this we did a few nights at one of the bungalow hotels and we agreed we would have felt like we missed out on Bora Bora without our time at RF. Thank you for a magical time!

C'est un endroit unique dont on gardera pour toujours un souvenir particulier. Le logement est une expérience, avec un sacré soucis du détail.
Pour combler le tout, l'hote est un ange qui a même été jusqu'à nous proposer de nous attendre le temps que nous fassions des courses.

L’île de Bora Bora est déjà magnifique en elle-même, mais le séjour au Rohotu Fare a rendu notre séjour encore plus inoubliable.

Le lodge est bien plus incroyable que sur les photos, un cocon où l’on se sent chez soi, au milieu du paradis. Le jardin botanique est sublime, et on sent que ces lodges ont été créés avec passion et beaucoup de goût.

Tiare et Nir sont des hôtes bienveillants, toujours souriants et agréables, d’une rare gentillesse.
Ils ont assuré notre transfert, veillé à ce qu’on nous réserve la meilleure table au restaurant, réservé pour nous une sortie lagon en dernière minute… En bref, on ne pouvait pas espérer mieux !

C'est avec grand plaisir que nous reviendrons pour découvrir le nouveau lodge, on l’espère.

Si vous êtes de passage à Pora Pora, nous ne pouvons que vous recommander le Rohotu Fare.

We stayed two weeks there, it is located on the main island in between the main city and the magnificent Matira’s Beach.

Bikes were free and super useful that allowed us to wander around the island

The lodge is incredibly beautiful, with a specific charm that makes it unique !

The place is also super peaceful

The hosts were super nice and helpful, our stay wouldn’t have been the same without their kindness !

Definitely a place that needs to be experienced !
