First please read all the reviews. The one and two star reviews are from us who actually booked a stay. I have a strong suspension, that I cannot prove that the great reviews are from the owner making a reservation in order to make a glowing review. The place is ran down. I showed up and they were hammering away on the bungalow roof next door. Four construction workers putting on a new layer of palm fronds f r o 0830 - 1630 hours, all day pounding. Front desk, Christina said it was going to be for three days. I told her i came here to relax, not be next to a construction zone. I was told the owner was away and she couldn't do anything about a refund. They don't have a resturant, next door resturant is not open for breakfast. Le Moana Resort is open, but breakfast is $65.00. Lets move onto the room. Itbis tiny, walk around the bed only. Kitchen faucet in the bathroom sink, shower stall grimmy and rusted out shower controls. No A/C, no screen doors to vent the room and keep bugs out. Shabby thin bedding and towels. Save ypur money up, use an actual resort and enjoy your trip to Bora Bora. I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact my recommendation is for Expedia to remove their listing ftom this platform. The owner is only interestvin taking your reservation and money.

we loved our time at Village Temanuata. Conveniently located, beach out front for quick swim or snorkel and short walk to beautiful public beach. Shop close by. Transfers great timing and lovely breakfast. We enjoyed the bungalow with kitchen so could cook. also went to Lucky residents mext door, nice meals. Staff friendly and helpful. WeWill be back

Awful Experience
The hotel was rundown, outdated, stained old sheets, unsafe and rude staff. The room was very small and dirty. The Internet worked very poorly. On arrival the owner showed us a chain hook from the inside of the window and front door- explaining they needed to be used for security at all times. We felt unsafe as many people walked through the middle of the property through out the night. The front gate was open all night and no one working at the front desk to ensure any type of safety. We left after the 1st night ( had reservation for multiple days)
I spoke with the owner regarding reimbursement for unused nights.
He refused any compensation for unused nights. He refused to return calls from Expedia or myself. I felt I was scammed and I would highly discourage anyone from staying here.

The place, beach is verry nice.
Villa 3 newer more.
It looks as if it was put together from everything that was left somewhere
Dirty, dark and reeking of local cat feces.
There is a garbage dump behind the villa. Every morning at 6 a.m., the gardener wakes you up with his music or beeping or clearing the garbage.

This property is a great value for the money. The rooms are pretty small and our bathroom door wouldn't completely close without a lot of encouragement, but other than that, it was great. Our room was a 5-second walk from a gorgeous, mostly private beach, and it had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful to us too. This is a great place to stay in Bora Bora if you don't want to drop $1500/night.

Our room was the first on the right, its nice and comfortable but noisy at night due to bar just next door. If you are out and about or enjoy a drink at the bar this is no problem as doesnt go all night. If you like early nights ask for a room closer to the water.
Downside to staying awake with the bar is the cleaners and washroom straight across from this room so you really cant sleep in either.

Okay, but could be much better

The bungalow was dated, you honestly go there for the location. There was one (1) slow speed ceiling fan for the entire bungalow. At the end of the \"hot season\" it was about 90 degrees inside, much cooler outside. Couldn't open windows as screens were busted and bugs/mosquitoes were all around area with plants. Wifi didn't work. Cockroach in bathroom. they did provide smoke coils for mosquitoes which we did use. The deck looking to beach was nice.
Restaurant food did not sit well with us, okay service. Have to park in muddy lot across the street from hotel if there isn't a spot in front of reception.

Lovely accommodation in excellent location

Lovely simple unit with beach access, just adjacent to the Intercontinental hotel. Basic furnishing, ok shower/bathroom. Friendly staff and wonderful setting in a lush garden, nearby restaurants and shops. Fine if you're looking for a simple place to stay for a decent price in the ridiculously expensive island of Bora Bora. Tip: avoid the gift shop across from the hotel, with the most unfriendliest and greediest people on the island.

The property was a prime location in Bora Bora, nearby grocery store, restaurants, Matira beach (best beach on island). The staff went above and beyond to make bookings for excursions, offered advice on places to visit, and made bookings to and from airport. Their prices on excursions was even discounted compared to prices in high end resorts nearby. They spoke English which was a huge plus since everyone on the island is French only, huge language barrier. The property is well maintained although an older property. They had had all the basic necessities at a very reasonable price.

Perfect location to explore the island

The location is perfect to explore the island, located a few steps from Matira, BB's best beach. Shops, restaurants and a nice roulette nearby. Staff was very friendly and able to accommodate us last minute on an amazing shark/rays tour. Breakfast was good and the transportation to the port arrived right on time. We even got a nice pair of little conch leis as souvenirs. Mauru'ru for everything Jacques!

We had a delightful stay at Village Temanuata. We occupied a cute bungalow with an outdoor kitchen that was very comfortable, clean and convenient. We also had one night in a beach-facing bungalow, which we actually liked less well. My husband was a bit tall for the double bed, but we loved our little beach, the convenient location near good restaurants and a store, and the staff. Great friendly place with a beach!

We stayed here for 4 days in late August 2018 and were very happy with our stay. The location is great, within walking distance to all the activities and restaurants we needed and the staff was really kind and friendly. Our rooms was just steps from the beach and a beautiful view, which is really quite something for the affordable price to stay here. There were plenty of outlets to charge our devices and the housekeeping staff kept the place in good condition. The only negative I would report is that one night before it rained bugs were getting in the room but I don’t know that that could have been avoided at any residence. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Bora Bora on a budget vacation.

Great Budget Option In An Amazing Location

In my opinion, this is the best budget option in Bora Bora. The hotel is in Matira Beach, described as the best one on the island by Lonely Planet. Each bungalo is equipped with a fridge, microwave, plates, etc so you can prepare your own meals. There's a grocery store accros the street to buy food and there are several \"Snacks\" within walking distance for inexpensive (for Bora Bora standards) lunch and dinner. Staff was very friendly and helped me plan my daily activities. Hotel has it's own small private beach, but it's a 3 minute walk to Matira Beach if you want to see something different. I'd say this is the ideal hotel for younger couples looking for their piece of paradise on a limited budget. This isn't a luxury hotel (beware... no air conditioning) but it met all my expectations.

The hosts were very helpful and kind. The beach is beautiful and the location was perfect for exploring surrounding area. Kitchen was usable and without any issue. The place was everything we hoped for and more! We are not sure why there are some less favourable reviews on trip advisor as that was certainly not our experience. We didn’t have a single issue and found all of the staff to be lovely!

A bare bones option

The location of the resort is ideal and there is a nice small beach. Our stay was for one night and it served our purpose.
However, this is a bare bones hostel so anyone staying here should understand that about the accommodations. Wifi is not included and there is no air conditioning.

That being said, if we were in between places again, we may choose this place again just based on location to Matira.

Me sentí estafada! Caro y en mal estado

No me gustó para nada. Estuve dos noches en dos diferentes bungalows. El primero oscuro y con mal olor a humedad, viejo y mohoso, con manchas en la taza del baño, aparentemente de sarro, limplado a la rapida y sin ninguna mantencion. Con olor a cloaca. El segundo un poco mejor, con vista al mar. Tambien con las mismas manchas en la taza del baño y con mal olor tambien a desagüe. Me sentí estafada por el precio. Con solo un poco más de dinero , en la misma calle, al borde de lamisma playa y con desayuno, reservé en un Hotel tres estrellas. Lo que mas me molestó fue que: aparentemente los dueños son europeos ! Pero el nivel del alojamiento deja mucho que desear! Yo caí por la ubicación, a la orilla de la playa, pero ni aun asi volvería a alojarme ahí. La playa publica está a cinco minutos caminando desde allí. Es hermosa y muy espaciosa y se puede ver la puesta del sol !

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ein traumhafter Strand.
Man kann diverse Ausflüge direkt am Empfang buchen. Leihräder sind vorhanden.
Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Deckenventilatoren können nur von der dicken Staubschicht befreit werden, ansonsten nichts weiter zu bemängeln.
Eine Bleibe mit bester Lage für einen erschwinglichen Preis.

Très moyen... Des frais non annoncés qui arrivent en fin de séjour... résultats : 170€ de frais ( transfert aéroport/ supplément pour enfant). Jamais ces frais n'ont été précisés ni chiffrés lors de nos échanges par mail... Les transferts par taxi... Nous étions 7 dans le monospace avec valises... Notre fille de 8 ans sur les genoux , conduite super dangereuse...
Et attention, car là pension vous proposent de réserver pour vous des activités sur lesquelles ils prennent 3000 fpc/ activité et par personne et si vous annulez, ils vous demandent 1500 fpc de frais d'annulation...par personne et par activité...on se sent pris en otage car tout ceci n'est annoncé qu'à votre check-out... sinon, l'endroit est beau et propre, les bungalows sont un peu vieillots et la literie... pareil.
Point positif, vous pouvez rester à profiter de la plage, avec douche, prêt de serviettes, matos de snorkeling et toilettes en attendant votre vol.
