We enjoyed our stay at Four Seasons. Excellent service and if you want to get away and enjoy a peaceful getaway, I recommend a stay here. If, however, you want to explore, shop and wine and dine outside the hotel, you will need to travel outside. The hotel is close to downtown Hoi An but probably a bit too far in my opinion. In any case, restful the stay was and that was what we wanted!

Great stay but pricey food and airport shuttle

Overall, we had a great time at Four Seasons Nam Hai. The villa was luxurious and we enjoyed the complimentary lantern making class. Service was attentive and everyone greets you warmly. The private beach is clean and we enjoyed the privacy. We had dinner at Cafe Nam Hai, the food was good but prices are much steeper compared to our earlier dinners at Hoi An town. The breakfast was great too.. with good ala carte and buffet selections.
The only letdown was the pricey airport shuttle which cost VND3.3m (including taxes). Since we already paid so much for our stay, we thought the shuttle service should be either complimentary or at least a more decent charge. Our previous hotel charged us only VND400k for a private transfer from Hoi An to Four Seasons Hotel (a similar distance from Four Seasons to the airport). In the end, we booked a grab 7-seater car for only VND350k.

I do think that cooling the pool may need to be an option as during a 35c degree spell the pool was sometimes warmer offering no relief.

Everything about this hotel is superb - I couldn’t recommend it more. The service was the best I’ve ever experienced. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and the hotel is located on the most pristine private beach.
It’s a short 15 mins away from Hoi An ancient town and with a free shuttle bus service four times a day, the hotel makes it very easy to get to town. It was such a delight to come back to the hotel after a busy, hectic day of sightseeing. I can’t wait to stay at this hotel again.

We had a wonderful six days stay at this resort where nothing is too much trouble.
The property is immaculately maintained and the facilities are excellent.
The food at all times was of exceptional quality and there were plenty of delicious options on offer.
The jewels in this crown however, are the staff who, without exception, provided us with the highest level of service. This was delivered with warmth and a genuine concern that everything was just as we might want.
Unfortunately the spa is overpriced, even at 5 star resort standards, which was very disappointing and the coffee machines in the rooms provide less than average quality coffee and should be replaced.

My wife and 3 year old daughter and I could not have asked for more from this wonderful, attentive, well managed and run beautiful resort/retreat.

From the moment we entered into our very well appointed villa, we were relaxed and taken care off.

Special praise to the restaurant, house keeping staff and in particular, Sy at the pool. Who addressed our every need so specially and attentively.

Adults can be assured they will have complete relaxation, the kids although only a few, are very well catered for having a seperate pool and play area and kids club tucked away from the relaxation spots. All of which is very classy and the best I have seen in 20 years of travelling to various resorts globally.

The architecture, food, quality of the staff are all without compromise, you’ll enjoy it, feel relaxed and want to return I do hope.

We will be returning.

We spent six nights at the Four Seasons in Hoi-An. The villa was very spacious and extremely clean for two adults and one child. The grounds were well kept and clean. We enjoyed riding bikes around but buggies are available all over the resort. The staff is simply amazing and they remembered every detail about us throughout the week. They remembered the drinks we ordered the previous day/night and knew exactly what my daughter liked to eat and drink after day one. We loved the extra touches at the pool (cucumbers for your eyes, mist for your face, and the sunglass cleaning service).I loved coming back to our villa every evening after turndown service to candles lit and music playing in our villa. The attention to detail all over the resort was amazing.

Memorable & Excellent Experience - 100% recommend

The staff at this resort are super attentive and helpful- consistent with all FS resorts.
We arrived on an early flight and got to the resort around 10am and they were able to arrange a villa for us no problem already. The staff were very helpful when we requested for a better conditioned room. The resort has a number of free and fee based activities so you can spend a decent amount of time at the resort itself.
My friends and I also joined their cooking academy and it was a very fun experience! We went on a tour of FS's own garden, then to the local market and then back to the resort to learn and cook. The food is practical- you can replicate the food back home!
On our last day, they were also very thoughtful and left us a thank you note and a small souvenir- again so thoughtful. 100% recommend this resort for a relaxing getaway. The resort is also at a good location in Hoi An, would choose this over the other luxury resorts- the others are just simply too far away and in the middle of nowhere.

My 8yrs old son lost his iPad in a restaurant in Da Nang and they went out of their way to track down the taxi then the restaurant and luckily found the iPad for us containing all of his childhood pictures and videos. The service was exceptional in the FS's tradition!

We are always amazed at our stays in the Four Seasons, including Christmas in Turkey last year. The Nam Hai even out did that. Besides the wonderful location, great service and outstanding facilities, David Macklin and his staff bent over backwards to resolve an issue that could have made our stay somewhat uncomfortable. The airline cancelled our flight and rescheduled us several hours later (after midnight). David's staff worked several hours to get us an earlier flight and they accommodated us with a very late checkout.

The facility is beautiful and comfortable. The staff was so friendly they literally made us feel at home. This was our 25th wedding and my 75th birthday so it was particularly special and the Four Seasons made it more so. What can I say, IT IS the Four Seasons!

Be sure and check what the dinner service includes. We were lucky enough to be there for the fresh lobster. Don't miss it. When traveling we usually void the hotel dinning room with maybe the exception of breakfast. You won't do that here.

A beautiful luxury resort - can't be topped!

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Four Seasons Nam Hai recently with our 12 yo daughter. We worried at the start that the resort may be too 'grown up' for her but they really get kids even though it is top end for luxury. The staff are all exceptional and it may be a cliché but nothing was too much trouble. The resort itself is gorgeous with an unbeatable location on the beach and close enough to Hoi An to enjoy all of the amazing restaurants in this beautiful town - if you can bear to leave that is!

This hotel would have to be the closest to perfection.
Two things however. Firstly there was a bit a construction and maintenance that was going on that we were not aware of when we booked.
Secondly, as comfortably and beautiful as our room was there was no proper chair in the room to sit on. Plenty of divan type lounge but a bit hard on the back after a while.
But we would definately recommend this hotel and stay there again.

An amazing resort and location. About 15 minutes by shuttle bus or cab to Hoi An which is a beautiful charming town. You can chill and relax at the resort and then be in the hustle and bustle of Hoi An town. Fantastic food and wine. Brilliant location on the beach, amazing pools with a quiet pool overlooking the ocean for adults only with a separate family pool. The staff and service were brilliant. Lovely local people delivering excellent service with warm. A well equipped gym as well as your own bikes to get around the resort. A truly wonderful experience that doesn't disappoint only delights.

Luxurious hotel with fantastic facilities and nice decoration. Rather expensive for a hotel in Vietnam (same prices than an luxury hotel in Europe). Great food and very kind staff when you are there. However the reservation/booking staff can be slightly too commercial bossy. They have tried several times to sell us seats for their New Years Eve dinner which were priced at 250$ per person. Extremely expensive!!!!! Obviously we didn't wanted to spent that kind of money in addition to the price of the night there. We had a room service served in our private pool villa that night and it was fantastic!

Beautiful hotel with extremely uncomfortable rooms

My husband and I were there 6 nights The hotel and grounds are stunning. The staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms were extremely uncomfortable. First the mattress was on a platform and just 8 inches off the floor. It was excruciatingly painful getting up off the floor to get out of bed which I do a few times in the night.( they were very accommodating in getting us an upgraded room but our villa was on the beach which we paid for not way in the back where the beach was a small dot. ) also there was no place to sit that had a back..the bed had no headboard..the couch had a 6 inch headboard, not even a chair to sit on To use the desk you had to climb over this platform, jump down in a hole then maneuvor yourself out. The waste baskets were so solid and heavy I ran into them twice and now have 2 huge bruises on the legs. I mentioned it but they said it was the decor so obviously their decor was more important than my safety. Breakfast was the worse we had on our month trip. Very uninspired.

The staff are unbelievable from the Gardener who manicures the lawns with scissors to the Chef who prepares meals that you would expect at a Michelin star restaurant. The pool is what it must be like in heaven and the rooms are spectacular. If your marriage is in trouble it won't be after a trip here. Romance is off the charts.

The hotel facility is good as other same rank hotels and just on the beach, which enables to access to the beach directly from the room. However, the hospitality is very poor and I could not feel that the hotel thinks well of guests. Hotel staffs behave very nice but they are not well educated, which may reflect the group's policy. It is hard to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Wouldn't normally spend so much on a hotel, but it was worth every cent for a very relaxing few days of \"baby moon\". So nice to have the mix of peaceful luxury at the Nam Hai and the beautiful but busy Hoi An ancient town. Would definitely recommend.

This has to be one of the most beautiful resorts in South East Asia. We stayed in an “ordinary” villa which provided beautiful accommodation and a nice view to the ocean.

Everything is made up to an extremely high standard and provides a highly enjoyable stay.

The Nam Hai is tranquil, beautifully designed throughout. The common areas are spectacular with 3 humongous infinity pools and a beautiful private beach.

Service is top-notch. We will not forget Ms. Thy and Ms. Hai who were absolutely superb hostesses! Our thanks also go to Matthew, the executive sue chef, who did a splendid job cooking to us special dishes per our special requirements.

We would love to come back in the future!

A few small comments to improve on:
1. The room doesn’t go completely dark and light does penetrate through the shades. People who are sensitive to light, as we are, may find this a 'sleep-bummer'… There must be a reasonable solution to this.
2. Get a modern TV in the room, the current one is totally outdated...
3. We both found the pillows to be too large and not very comfortable. Smaller down pillows were not available.

Nothing could be faulted,food service,amenities. Our butler Thao was simply the best and organized everything for us...would stay again in a heartbeat! Best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Beautiful resort

Fabulous hotel set in beautifully maintained grounds leading onto the beach. The layout of the villa's is based on the architects interpretation of a traditional Vietnamese house, however it can prove to be an obstacle course if you need to get up during the night. Food and beverage are outstanding but so are the prices!.

Friendly helpful staff and management enhanced a wonderful stay at this beautifully located resort. The facilities are superb, the vista from the villas outstanding and the presentation top rate. Perhaps it is time however to refresh the villas to match the offering of the newer resorts in the Hoi A area.

The best of the best!!

This place is absolutely incredible.....no other resort comes close to the standard of the Nam Hai. It might be more expensive than other resorts in the area but this place is nothing but quality. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Height of luxury in resort hotels

Wonderful 4 night stay. Staff is extremely well-trained, exceedingly polite, and always quite timely in response. Each villa is beautiful. The beachfront villa offers a view of the sea and sunrise / moonrise over the ocean from your bed. Restaurants are superb.

Not What We Expected

This hotel looks absolutely wonderful and the staff are first class, but it didn't quite meet our expectations. We stayed in a pool villa which has 2 separate buildings, one being purely a lounge/dining room and the other a bedroom and bathroom. This second room is identical to the non pool villas and has a desk and lounge area, which we feel was a waste of space that could be better used as we already had separate lounge. The design of the bedroom villa was very poor with steps creating trip hazards, and a raised bed platform. Getting up during the night was dangerous. The desk area was sunken making access awkward for the older ones staying there. We had one of the most private villas but we could be seen from the adjacent villa and the footpath. The majority of the villas are very open to public view. It was very cold whilst we were there and we had difficulty in getting the staff to heat the pool and keep it heated. Afternoon tea and evening canapes are included with pool villas but these were very disappointing. Our first afternoon tea consisted of tea and one bagel sandwich each and the first canapes were a type of crisp! The butler on seeing our amazement at the poor offerings, bent over backwards to try and improve things but we were disgusted by their interpretation of afternoon tea and canapes. Breakfasts were the best ever!!!
Restaurants are very expensive!

Excellent Villas, Restaurants on the resort was great. Very helpful staffs. Complimentary mini bar items includes sodas and beers. Bottled water was pretty much provided everywhere on resort (pools, lounge, etc). Private Beach. Bit pricey especially compared to other resorts in the area (there are some closer to Hoi An and Da Nang along the beach), but Nam Hai is the luxury resort in the area which provides best services, best villas, best food.
