The hotel was nice, had a hard time figuring out how to heat the room, the main door is a walk from the parking lot especially when it’s raining and windy. I wish they would allow you to exit with the emergency exit which is conveniently located right by the parking lot. The breakfast wasn’t my favorite not very much selection. The problems were not enough to never come back. They did the best they could and I’d stay here again.

The room was very clean and the view was great. We enjoyed our stay, and a baby cot was provided upon request. The restaurant was baby friendly too with high chairs available. The breakfast was pretty standard and a slight disappointment.

Very nice modern hotel in the center of the town within great proximity to many sites to explore.
Rooms are super clean and comfy.
Service was excellent: reception desk, bar and restaurant super nice and friendly people, professional, knowledgeable and efficient.
Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty.
We had dinner at the restaurant every night and food was great, healthy, unique and very tasty. They had a bread spread with volcanic black salt, very cool.
We would like to recognize our dinner waiter from Chechia, sorry didn't get the name, such a nice man.
We highly recommend this hotel and if ever have a chance would definitely stay here.

Nice quiet hotel, next to restaurants, gas stations, and beautiful views of Vik. Our room was facing the road, 2nd floor, but the views of the ocean were spectacular. Breakfast was plentiful with beautiful view. The room was a little hot, but we opened the windows. We booked two rooms, and they put us next to each other, asking us what beds we preferred. Truly a nice stay, and conveniently located between Reyjkavik & Diamond Beach.

Modern, clean and well-maintained hotel. For Americans, comparable to an above-average Hilton Hampton Inn. Each member of the staff we dealt with was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. One morning, they prepared a take-away box breakfast for our 6 a.m. departure. We did not dine in their restaurant. However, we enjoyed several excellent cocktails made by Marta, their delightful bartender whose company we enjoyed. Spent two nights, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Liked the couches/ seating/ gathering area on the second floor....we were able to meet with our friends and have a glass of wine/ relax after a busy day. Breakfast was nice ..no complaints....nice view and light with towering windows. I'd stay here again.

Just book it!! We stayed in a few hotels in the area, and this one exceeded our expectations by far. The location is tucked at the end of Vik, and if you get a mountain room your morning views are breathtaking. The beds are comfortable, extra pillows, and blackout curtains. We even had our laundry done overnight for approx $50 CAD, and I’m telling you this was well worth it, especially given the weather. The breakfast, the views from breakfast were delightful.

We loved this even more than the Vik Hotel!

Our stay at Hotel Kría was overall very good. The property is conveniently located right off the Ring Road and is very well maintained. The room we stayed in was clean, well equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The views of the mountains, beach, and Vík Church were amazing. The included breakfast was also very good.

The in-house restaurant, however, had very limited menu options.

The main issue we experienced during our two-night stay was with the Wi-Fi. It was difficult to keep devices connected, and even when connected, the signal strength was quite weak. Unfortunately, the staff were unable to do much about it. One staff member mentioned it was the first time they had received such a complaint, while another later explained that the routers had recently been changed, which may have been the cause of the issue.

Aside from the Wi-Fi problem, we had a very pleasant stay overall.

Hotel Kria had awful maintenance and wouldn’t fix the problems or offer us a different room. Truly disappointing. The thermostat in our room didn’t work - it was on maximum all the time - and the room was ridiculously hot. We had to open the door to the veranda to cool the room off and that made it barely bearable. Also, the bathroom door made an awful screeching noise when opened or closed. We reported both problems immediately and they did nothing to resolve the issues even though we were staying for several nights.

In a good location to walk to a few restaurants. We had a room on the street side, not Mountain View, and were worried about noise, but it was quiet at night. Definitively need to use the fan at night bc one you close the curtains, no air can circulate. Curtains need to be longer to block out the light. Breakfast was good, not a huge variety but good enough. Happy hour at the bar for a discount on wine and beer. The restaurant is pricey, but so is every other one in Iceland. Black crust pizza is an easy walk and pretty good !

This was not the best stay but it was self inflicted by not selecting a room with a Mountain View. The street lights are bright all night. The other factor was that the room is small. My wife had a cold so it made it even more challenging. Food was good. Cocktails were very good. Everything was x2 as much as you would think it should be so 27 dollars for a cocktail…

This hotel exceeded our expectations. I travelled with my sister and we absolutely loved the hotel. It was very well maintained, beautiful architecture, floor to ceiling windows in the breakfast restaurant giving a gorgeous view every morning, the breakfast itself was out of this world. Exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room itself was excellent. Clean beds and abundant room service. The hotel was perfectly located in the town of Vik. We were conveniently located to do day trips. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Vik.

The bar and resustaurant are quite expensive, but the food was good. Breakfast was a nice touch. Wish the beds were softer, and we had two beds pushed together into one. Didn’t know I was getting individual comforters though. I would however stay here again.

All very good except the breakfast. The location was excellent and the room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast at 8am tasted good but the service was poor. Not sure if it was understaffed or the only waiter available was new to the job. The yoghurt had run out, the fruit had run out, there was a half eaten pancake left by the coffee. The hotel in general had very high standards so I am guessing this was not normal for breakfast.
