I had a great stay at Hotel Vík. The location was very convenient, with restaurants and a grocery store close by, and it was also an easy drive to the black sand beach and Dyrhólaey to see the puffins.

The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the heated bathroom floors. Breakfast was included and was great, which made the morning very easy before heading out for the day.

Parking was easy and available on site, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, this was a clean, convenient, and comfortable place to stay while exploring Vík and the surrounding area.

We had a very nice two night stay. It was clean, what they called a ‘continental breakfast’ was really a very nice breakfast bar with many food choices and the restaurant was very good as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed some assistance. Also, it is very conveniently located so that travelers can walk to Black Crust pizzeria and few other establishments including a grocery store and clothing store.

Also, there is a large common place on the ground floor with a nice seating arrangement. The hotel could have provided just a tea/coffee facility where friends could mingle and discuss plans?

Room was tiny but clean and comfortable. A few more channels for the television for background noise. Food at the hotel is a tad expensive but very good. Vik is a wonderful area. I stayed here a year ago as well. Will most likely stay again in the future if the prices don’t rise too much.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vik. The breakfast was great with plenty of tasty options to choose from each morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to assist with anything we needed.

The hotel was spotless both inside and out, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The bedding was exceptionally clean and fresh, making for a great night’s sleep. One of the first things we noticed was the lovely, welcoming scent upon entering the hotel, which gave a calm and soothing feeling right away.

Overall, a fantastic experience and we would happily stay here again.

We stayed in three different 3 star hotels in our trip to Iceland (this being one of them) and this was our least favourite of the three.
Compared to the other hotels it felt less welcoming and more like a busy business.
Lots of parking available, in a good walkable location and breakfast was pleasant.
The rooms felt a little small, with the shower feeling very small.
Overall we had a decent one night stay but if we returned we would probably pick another hotel.

The newer facility was beautiful. The lounge area was pretty, comfortable, and great for relaxing for the evening. Breakfast was delicious with many options.

The standard room was in the older building, and I can see they tried to renovate it. But, it still felt old and cramped (especially the bathroom). Not enough outlets at the head of the bed, which we needed for the CPAP machine.

If you are traveling with a partner, be aware that the twin beds are pushed back together, without a pad to make the sleeping arrangements comfortable. Hence, if you like sleeping next to your partner, this is not going to be a very comfortable experience. (This was the only hotel that we stayed at during our 13-day visit, out of six hotels that did not have a pad).

Was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a superior room and we would definitely book it again. The room is cozily furnished, spacious, and had a large bathroom. The bedding is comfortable and the toiletries were from L’Occitane. We enjoyed a view of the town but I think a view of the mountains is also available. Breakfast had great variety and plenty of vegetarian options. The hotel is also located some distance from the main road so it’s more secluded and private.

Best hotel I stayed at in Iceland! Staff is amazing, drinks are as well. Love that there are 2 lobby areas to relax in. The staff upgraded our stay to a family room instead of the triple at check in at no charge. They said it was because if they have spaces that are better that aren’t booked- they upgrade their guests so the nicer rooms don’t go to waste. What a concept! Customer service and client care! The US would never. Family room was gorgeous and spacious! And don’t get me started about the breakfast. Best continental hotel breakfast- so many selections (hot and cold options). Fancy pastries and even a slew of vegan foods. I wish I could have stayed much longer than one night.
