The hotel was located in a great central area with shops and station all nearby. The room was very comfortable and suited to our needs. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room had a very large private terrace, and although not much of a view, would be very good to use in warmer months (we stayed in early march).

The only thing was we could never quite get warm air through the heater despite setting the temperature required. There were warm radiators, but did find the room a little cold.

This was nothing really to complain about and the hotel otherwise very pleasant to stay at.

Perfect location. We had a quad room for four adults and we all had a bed each. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. The toiletries are brilliant shampoo conditioner shower gel and body lotion. There is a lounge area on the first floor too. We will be returning such a great price for central Madrid. The reception staff were very friendly and so helpful. Thank you

Marta and Javier were absolutely amazing. Their customer service went above and beyond!! They treated our 8-year-old son with so much care and love, and they truly made the difference in our stay. The place is small, but very clean and comfortable, and we still had an amazing experience. The location is perfect, and the hospitality was exceptional. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel has an outstanding location for tourism, as it is in the heart of probably the busiest pedestrian square in Madrid. Also, there is a metro stop within literally 50-60 meters of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was slightly small, but very comfortable.

There was construction on some floors of the hotel making it a bit dusty and noisy during the day. You can hear movements from the floors above but it did not interrupt our sleep. The bed was comfortable although the room temperature was difficult to control. This hotel is in a perfect location and all the major attractions and great shopping is within walking distance. The A/C in the room did not cool at all. The room stayed hot. Noises from the top floor luke moving furniture went on all day, all night. For $200 a night i could have stayed at a much better place for sure.

The room was hot and the air conditioning did not cool it. I suspect it was turned off. If you opened the window there was so much noise outside you couldn’t sleep. The breakfast was quite good and the staff at the hotel were excellent.

Good hotel right in the centre of the city. Staff were helpful.

Wifi and credit card payment system were down on arrival. Credit card system was back on line later in the evening. Wifi not so much.

Facilities were very clean but dated. Also on our level there are building works still going on. It is noisy as in we could hear other people having their tv on in next doors rooms, but it wasn’t too bad. The windows seemed reasonably thick however as the noises outside were more of a constant hum then stop start noise which I find worse..

Would be mindful of the information about the hotel as it is not 16 minutes to the airport (more like 30 to 45 minutes with traffic.. You also can’t be dropped directly outside the hotel, it would be worth the hotel informing guests of this and providing a better addressed as our taxi driver dropped us 10 minutes away when there was a taxi stand on the next street over.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the location — it’s right in the heart of downtown Madrid and within easy walking distance of all the sights we wanted to see. The hotel itself is on the smaller side, but that worked perfectly for our short stay. The room was clean and comfortable, though we did have an issue with the shower — the water temperature kept shifting from hot to cold and back again, which made it tricky to use. Aside from that, everything else was good, and the convenience of the location really made our trip enjoyable.

Arrived at 8:30 am and although our room was not ready-nor did we expect it to be- they immediately offered to store our bags and get a room ready for us asap. Super friendly staff, great breakfast. Convenient location - although centre to the plaza with mass demonstrations- creating noise. Room was adequate - bathroom needed renovation. Great Air conditioning! Wifi was weak in rooms. Overall recommend and would stay again.

Let me start by saying that the staff are welcoming and very helpful, however the rooms are very small, you can not walk around the bed. My husband use the sink to wash his hands and water came out of the drain on the bathroom floor with a very unpleasant smell. We stood that night in that hotel because it was already too late (10pm) to look for another hotel. Next morning we checkout and transferred to another hotel. The staff was very helpful.

Location great, room not so much

2 nights in Madrid. Travelling as part of a longer trip with 2 mid sized the cases, the room was too small to open them at the same time. We had to store them closed on top of each other. I appreciate we didn't book a room with a terrace but we got a back room so no view at all. The photos of the rooms are deceptive.
Breakfast was nice with plenty of options on offer.
Location is great for being amongst the biz. Be aware taxis cant get to the hotel so drop you to walk the rest of the way.

Great location but needs some upgrades.

It’s all about location and you are smack dab in the middle of Madrid. However, this is an old hotel and there was a lot of noise from within (ie: moving furniture, hammering, banging noises, conversations from other rooms, etc.) Our room was quite small but the bed and pillows were comfortable. The room felt cramped. Ok for a short stay only. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The air in the hallways felt musty and the carpeting made it difficult for rolling your luggage. The lighting is dim. Needs brighter lighting. No fridge in the room and that is a huge necessity nowadays. So if you have medication that needs cold storage or anything else for that matter then it is a problem. Personnel were all very charming. You can’t beat the location. If they can fix the things I mentioned it would have a better rating.

Great location, right on the corner of plaza Sol which makes it convenient if you want to be in the downtown area and also if you don't. Only downfall was no hair dryer in the room but people were super nice about everything and the room was clean and well kept.
There was also an area on the second floor open to the guests which was great to work from.

The hotel is on the edge of Puerta del Sol (a minute or so to the Sol Metro & train station), as well as only a few hundred metres from Plaza Mayor, so is very convenient for transport, shopping and dining out.
My room was always spotlessly cleaned and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
