Hotel De Charme is a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully situated overlooking the lake and in the peaceful town of Laveno. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout. The room was very comfortable and the pool area is great. Dining with the inclusive meals was excellent. All in all a wonderful place to stay and explore Lake Maggiore, with faultless style and service.

We stayed in June 2022 and were absolutely delighted as our first post-pandemic holiday abroad. The hotel itself is modern and well equipped, in a quiet and very attractive location. The staff were AMAZING, so helpful so friendly and so professional. I cannot fault them in any way. The food was fantastic (well above standard for the all inclusive rate we paid). The pool and gym were clean and well equipped. Lastly the location is perfect, with a major ferry route on your doorstep we were able to get around the lakes many gorgeous locations with ease and at a reasonable price. I find it hard to fault anything (well (and this is written with a smile on my face as we found it very funny in the end), but their modern furniture often had the furniture legs pointing outwards... we must have stubbed our toes on the chairs in the room at least 3 times daily :). No seriously cannot fault much here and would highly recommend and stay again. PS thank you to Diego the masseuse, who fixed a very painful neck and allowed me to enjoy the rest of the holiday). Thank you to you all for making it an amazing stay!

Nice hotel and the view is excellent.
A few of the staff were quite short while others were very, very friendly.
Air conditioning not working, shower in our room was a bit broken and no extractors in the bathroom or hooks to hang anything off.
Dinner included was good food and great value for money! Infinity pool was beautiful and the hotel was very clean. Parking easy and a few minutes’ walk into town for more choice of restaurants if required.
The hotel also put on some events in the evenings which were complimentary- such as wine tasting and Italian lessons.

Gorgeous lake side hotel

This hotel was the start of our 2 week honeymoon road trip through Italy. It was incredibly relaxing and tranquil. We had a beautiful view of the lake and the area around the hotel is easy to walk. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was really good. The bed was comfortable. The infinity pool was gorgeous! The spa was stunning. Only complaint is we did not enjoy the massage - consider getting someone else - I felt quite uncomfortable during mine.

Extremely nice and welcoming staff. Everyone made you feel relaxed and were pleased to help you. The hotel was fresh, clean, with modern furniture and fittings and has good, well appointed, rooms.

The hotel contacted me prior to arrival regarding parking & dinner reservation which is anticipating their customers needs & excellent service. On arrival we received prompt efficient & welcoming service.
The hotel is very clean & comfortable & convenient for access around the entire lake.
Our stay would have been improved if the pool area had a direct line to bar/restaurant & there are aspects of the breakfast which could be improved.
I would certainly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Nice Location but disappointing hotel

Had to change my room because the first room didn't have a balcony, so I ended paying extra for a family room with a terrace. The family room was very small not fit for a family unless its a family of small people, I didn't mind because I was on my own but for sure it was not a family room and it was way overpriced for what it is!!! In April with a heat wave, the hotel did not switch on the central air conditioning saying that the storm later on will cool the air. I have to mention that the hotel I usually stay in have their central air condition on all year round and you have the option to switch on or off like any other hotel in the world, unfortunately I couldn't stay there because it was fully booked. Hotel De Charme eventually provided me with a fan that kept circulating the air in the room, bearing in mind that, the temperature in the room was 26 degrees, I found it unbearable to sleep or to even dry my hair after having a shower! The terrace was overlooked by passers by from the town as they have access to the hotel forecourt all day till 11:00 pm. Disappointing experience to say the least from the most expensive hotel in Laveno-Mombello.

Rooms no A/C this time of year.

Hotel is lovely but...booked hotel because it said A/C. Get to room, no A/C because master switch has not been activated. Having paid for a room with a view, the sun was beaming in. Had to leave hotel and find a restaurant in the town to get the lake breeze. Enjoyed the quaint town and easy walking around. When we returned in the late evening we were offered an upgrade. Very nice gesture we accepted but it was still hard to sleep even with the doors open. Parking up the hill with no valet service or bellman. Friendly staff. For the price I would find another place on the lake next time.

This is a beautifully refurbished hotel, once a ceramics factory. Very contemporary and clean. Excellent location.

For the British traveler, we are accustomed however to hot drink facilities in our room. There was none and we felt that the lack of room service meant that we were unable to get a hot drink at our leisure. It would be great if the hotel could address this.

We would ideally have liked a balcony too but the upper floor rooms do not have balconies at all. If you want to sit out, ask for a ground floor room with a patio!

Fantastic Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel is very clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotels location away from the main road and backed onto the lake mean it is also quiet and picturesque. The town of Laveno is not very big but contains enough cafes and restaurants to keep you fed and watered. Laveno also has a ferry terminal and two train stations to enable trips about the lake or Milan. We spent a relaxing 6 nights here and would highly recommend it.

This hotel is excellent. The decor is contemporary, which you rarely find in Italy, but very comfortable. Apart from the stunning location, lovely decor and delicious breakfast, the thing that really stands out for this hotel is the staff. They are so welcoming and kind. They always have a smile for you and 'buongiorno', from the front desk, to the breakfast staff, to the maintenance attendant, to the ladies that cleaned the rooms.

I used the pool every day either first thing in the morning (8:00) or in the evening (20:00) and loved being able to swim in a pool that looked over the lake - it was beautiful.

We went to Stresa and other more touristy places on the lake but were eager to get back to the peaceful, less touristy Laveno. We would not want to have stayed anywhere else. It was perfect!

A lovely peaceful location

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Lavena Mombello. However, Laveno Mombello is not the ideal location if you're looking to explore other parts of the lake because the boat only runs between Lavena and Intra. From Intra it is then possible to get a boat to other parts of the lake. I would highly recommend the hotel for quality and service.

It's in the middle of a building site

The hotel notes that \"Construction is underway at a neighbouring building and there may be noise disturbance from the construction work.\" This is an understatement. It's surrounded by building work, with workmen directly overlooking the infinity pool, literally feet away, and constant drilling, banging and crane noise right next to the outdoor dining area. This spoilt our whole stay there.

I pointed this out to the manager and showed him a video of our breakfast, during which my wife and I could barely hear each other above the noise of the building site next door, and was told \"that only happens for a few minutes each day\", and \"anyone can take a video of a particularly bad moment and claim it happens through the day.\"

We stayed there for three days, and the noise was constant. I am extremely unhappy with this, and have complained officially to the Hotel management.

Stunning hotel in stunning location. This was a perfect place for a short break, surrounding area is beautiful and so quiet even in mid June. Hotel is in a great location, they have garaged parking. Modern interior in old building, it works! Bedrooms spacious, so clean with huge comfy beds and wet room. Lovely infinity swimming pool and pool area plus good steam rooms and inside relaxation. Service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. Great breakfasts. Ate in hotel one night and food was delicious. All in all 11/10 - we loved it.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel de Charme. The staff here can not do enough for you and the infinity pool and relax areas are heavenly. Beautiful views from all the bedrooms over the lake. We had one evening meal in the restaurant which was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was lovely, if a bit repetitive (but we did stay for 10 nights!) and the pastries and cakes were delicious. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

New hotel adjacent to marina in Laveno

This was a really great location away from the more busy Lake Maggiore towns such as Stressa. Constructing new apartments as part of the development adjacent to the hotel but this didn't deter from our stay. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, particularly reception, couldn't be more informative and helped with boat hire, taxis. Restaurant a little slow although very relaxed. Close to restaurants in town and reception gave good recommendations. Short walk to ferry connecting into all the tourist attractions. A very relaxed and enjoyable break for the two of us.

We had a brilliant time, the hotel was lovely and beautiful views of the lake.
Hotel staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, although we did not stay for dinner as the town had many places to eat out. I would highly recommend Italy, just beautiful and perfect place for walking, cycling and simply relaxing by the stunning lakes.
We would definately return to this location, perhaps try stay at intra which also had good transport and wonderful views of the lake.

Had a great two day stop here on a motorbike trip around the Alps. Room was OK as was the bathroom. Not a place you spend a lot of time in the though anyway.
It's a lively restaurant and bar area which was great and ate there both nights.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location on the Lake

The location and views were fantastic and the proximity to the short stroll to the centre of Laveno made this the perfect location for us. The roof top pool and Spa were also excellent and breakfasts were very good. The nearby Funivia to the top of the mountain was breathtaking and the view to the lake, the Alps and Switzerland stunning. The staff were slightly inattentive when we arrived and we ended up having to drag our suitcases through a concrete maze to find our way from the car park to the hotel. With a little better communication this would not have happened as they are actually in the same building. The desk staff apologised when we eventually found our way back. For that reason I have marked the hotel staff down a little but I fully intend to go back.

A very nice and modern hotel with a traditional feel. It is a quiet and relaxing setting with a beautiful view over Lake Maggiore. I would recommend it for a relaxing retreat for a few days. However, the hotel knows that it's one of the best and modern hotels around the lake, but it seems to be missing the Je ne sais quoi... Perhaps once the building site around the hotel has disappeared, then it may have that extra bit...

what a great find! I was planning a night away with a group of friends and wanted a beautiful getaway, this was everything and more, with the gorgeous salt water infinity pool, the lake side, stunning decor and very helpful, charming staff. Also the rooms didn't break the bank. The only thing was that the shower in our room flooded our floor...which was a minor thing as we were only staying for one night, but had we been staying for longer this would have been an issue. Definitely needs sorting out before returning. But I would defiantly go back.

Perfect spot

We loved this place. It is in one of the smaller lake towns but near to the ferry and a good spot to use as a base. The hotel is laid out so that all rooms have a lake view. The rooms are a good size and have walk-in showers. It was all very peaceful. We slept so well. The staff were very helpful. There is a strange arrangement with the parking but that may change when they finish the new development. We loved the pool and solarium. We would return there anytime.

Typically scandinavian! Strange for Italy)) But service was exellent (for 5* hotel), classic rooms are nothing special, but we made upgrade to graund floor corner suite and it have shifted expectations, so the stay was very pleasant. Breakfast is ok for 4*. Spa as at luxury 5*!

HOTEL DE CHARMEis a very nice hotel in Laveno Mombello. You'll find pleasant rooms with smart tv and all conforts you need.When you look out of the window you'll see the magnificent lake with its blue water the shadows of the islands, the ferry going on and on. One of the best thing of the hotel is surely the restaurant with its delicious dishes the homemade bread and the best desserts! Do not forget to visit the charming village walking through its paths and taking pictures of the wonderful sunset.

Bel hôtel mais pourrait faire encore mieux

Accueil excellent et en français. Hôtel idéalement situé et calme, belle piscine extérieure. Par contre, la prise de la salle de bains s’enlève (ce qui est dangereux), mobilier usé par endroit, sèche cheveux pas terrible, il manque une bouteille d’eau offerte dans la chambre, petit-déjeuner absolument identique tout les matins.... C’est un hôtel assez cher et ces petits détails font la différence.

Geweldig verblijf. Alle ingrediënten voor een heerlijke relax vakantie voor handen. Goede service, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De styling en afwerking van het hotel zijn geweldig. Goede ligging t.o.v. treinstation en haven om dagtochten te maken zijn voorhanden. Voldiende restaurantjes en een gezellige boulevard om 's avonds een ommetje te maken.

Bel hotel au calme

Jolie chambre avec salle de bain. La vue sur le lac est vraiment belle. L’hôtel est au calme et le personnel est très gentil et toujours prêt à vous aider. C'est très étonnant que pour un 4* et à ce prix il n'y ai ni bouteille d'eau et ni machine thé/ café. Autrement toute était parfait.

Heerlijk rustig en toch dichtbij het stadje Laveno

In de directe omgeving zijn veel mooie plekjes waar je kunt genieten van de vakantie. Lago di Monate is bijvoorbeeld een heerlijk meer om te zwemmen. Cerrro geeft je tijdens het zwemmen en zonnen een mooi uitzicht op Verbania. Vanuit Laveno ben je zo aan de overkant. Een echte aanrader om op de boot de zonsondergang te zien en vast te leggen

Hotel mit herrlichen Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore. Wunderbare Lage des Hotels. Schöner Pool. Beim Frühstück hat es an nichts gefehlt. Tolle Frühstücksterrasse. Service war top. Personal war sehr aufmerksam. Wir würden wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Wir waren begeistert.

Schickes Hotel mit Top-Spa-Bereich und Pool.

Ein schickes Hotel. Modern, hell und in bester Lage. Die meisten Zimmer haben zwar keine Ballkone, aufgrund der historischen Fassade, aber durch den Top-Spa-Bereich mit schönem Dachpool und großer Saunalandschaft, wird man dafür mehr als entschädigt. - Kleinere Baumängel fallen nicht ins Gewicht , weil der Gast davon nichts merkt. Das Essen im Hotel entspricht hohem Conviniance-Standard, hat allerdings seinen Preis. Das Personal ist kompetent, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kellner bringen Getränke auf Wunsch auch zum Pool. Den Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage kann man sich auch sparen, da viele Gäste auch hinter dem Hotel im Seitenbereich parken.

Die Lage des Hauses ist wunderbar. Der Pool wird beheizt und ist einfach spektakulär. Wir hatten zum Abendessen keinen Tisch reserviert und bekamen dann auch, trotz weniger Gäste im Haus, keinen.

hôtel parfaitement situé, propre, bien équipé mais c'est un hôtel impersonnel, froid au milieu de résidences de vacances. On dirait un hôtel de chaîne.Bref tout le contraire d'un hôtel de charme .....

Le personnel est charmant, le restaurant est d'une tristesse affligeante....

Mais la Piscine extérieure chauffée et le SPA sont exceptionnels

A/C not working at all in room 220. Should not be used till fixed. Spent 2 nights there practically without sleep. Was given the choice of upgrade to a suite on day 2, but would then have to pay around 300 euros extra! Madness!

L'hôtel porte parfaitement son nom. rie à redire. La situation est excellente: calme assuré mais proche du centre te des activités. Personnel parfait: discret disponible et compétent. Tous parle un français parfait. Les chambres sont spacieuses, salle de bain parfaite, literie très confortable. Petit-déjeuner excellent (sauf les jus de fruits). Piscine sur le toit pour se remettre des activités de la journée. tout était parfait, nous recommandons cet hôtel...

waren 10 Tage hier und wollten Entspannung pur; alles in allem konnten wir uns erholen;
der Spa Bereich ist relativ klein, aber zu dieser Jahreszeit wenig frequentiert; Wenig grosse Handtücher;
störend war der Baulärm, die Info auf der Seite des Hotels war nicht aussagefähig, wir empfanden es sehr laut; Geräuschbelästigung und Geruchsbelästigung durch Dieselbaufahrzeuge;
von Expedia wurden wir hier gar nicht informiert - würden das nächste Mal nicht mehr über Expedia buchen;
Das Personal war sehr nett;

Hotel nähe Hafen

Wenn die Bauarbeiten beendet sind, mit Sicherheit ein gutes Hotel. Versprochen wurde, dass die Bauarbeiten Werktags nur von von 09:00 bis 16:00 Uhr sind, begonnen wurde bereits um 07:00 Uhr, inkl. Wochenende.
Für Kinder gänzlich ungeeignet obwohl Familienzimmer angeboten werden. Der Pool wird auch von den Eigentümern der Eigentumswohnungen genutzt, dafür ist er etwas zu klein.

Laveno is a cute village with a beautiful Promenade and immediate access to the ferry to reach the other side of the breathtaking lake!

Modernes Hotel zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen

Wunderschönes, modernes Hotel direkt am Lago Maggiore mit sehr coolem Pool. Das Hotel hat nur 30 Zimmer und ist daher sehr übersichtlich und nicht überlaufen. Derzeit wird nebendran gebaut. Dies auch Samstags und sogar teilweise am Sonntag. Die Bauarbeiten müssten aber bald abgeschlossen sein und vom Zimmer und Pool aus sind die Arbeiten auch nicht wirklich wahrnehmbar.

Modernes Hotel mit Seeblick

Der Pool im dritten Stock des Hotels bzw. Dach des Hotels war super, man hatte das Gefühl man schwimmt in den See hinaus. Bis auf einen Tag war er auch angenehm warm. Beim Frühstück habe ich offenen Jogurt und Obstsalat vermisst.
Es gab Jogurt in Becher und auch Obst im ganzen. Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber mit tollem Blick über See und Hafen. Der Weg vom Hotel zur Garage war etwas weit.Mann musste außen um das Hotel herum, soll aber laut Repzeption
ab Herbst besser werden wenn die dazugehörigen Appartments und der Zufahrtsbereich fertiggestellt sind. Vom Baulärm haben wir nichts mitbekommen.
