The facilities and staff at Primavera were fantastic. Very clean, well organized, and welcoming.

I appreciated the staff’s patience and help, as I had a little bit of a challenge finding them. They had great food recommendations too!

The location is great. What sets Primavera apart for me is the small number of guests per room and ample bathroom facilities. The ratio of beds to showers can be an issue at a number of hostals, especially in the mornings, but that wasn’t an issue at Primavera.

This place felt more like a friend's house than a hostel. The rooms are simple, with basic but comfortable furnishings. I had an ensuite that again was basic yet functional. There is a great lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. They offer one of the best value breakfasts I have had in a long time. I would certainly consider staying there again.

Primavera is a very cutely decorated hostel that has a very homey, welcome feeling, Pedro and other staff are very helpful which adds to the feeling of home. Common areas are clean and comfortable. Location is great and close to public transportation. I would stay here again.

This was a wonderful little respite on our whirlwind trip. The kids enjoyed the board games in the main area and having a meal in the kitchen with other families. The quaint atmosphere created by the beautiful decor made it feel like a home away from home.

The staff are excellent value and go out of their way to help you. They are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are happy to advise you how to get their easily. The place is very clean and the beds comfortable even though it is a hostel it is very quiet..on Thursdays they provide a meal for 10 euro per person. Which is a fun way to talk to others. Would definitely go back their if im in Barcelona again.

Excellent Property in Barcelona

This hostel is an excellent place to stay. I was very impressed with the property and how well organized everything is. The weekly outing to a hilltop-view overlooking the city and in-house cooking night are both excellent. The surprise breakfast for everyone on my last day was also great.

Having laptops available to use for the internet was also great in giving a break from having to use a small smartphone on my travels.

Overall, I was quite pleased with my stay and I look forward to returning one day!

Primavera Hostel has an amazing, warm community atmosphere. The staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay there and meet them all. It has both private and communal bathrooms and a quaint communal kitchen, both of which solidify the community feeling of the place. The location of the hostel is also perfect for tourists visiting the local sights as it is roughly a 10 minute walk from La Sagrada Familia and a 30 minute walk from both Park Güell and the main city centre (including La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter). If we return to Barcelona again, we will be staying there a second time :)

One of the nicest hostels we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated, clean bathrooms, large kitchen space, two comman sitting areas, and comfortable beds. We stayed in a private double room, with a balcony overlooking the street. With the balcony doors closed it was quite at night. Close to a metro stop. Noticed that there is a handicap accessible bathroom and elevator. Highly recommend.

The place was very nice, but it was SO HOT. There is no A/C in the hostel so the day and night were very uncomfortable because of the summer heat. I'm sure it's a comfortable stay when the weather in Spain is cooler, but I would not recommend staying there in August.

We were very pleased. Room was clean, private bath and balcony as described. Shared kitchen amenities if you desired. Clothes washing within two blocks walking. Reception was difficult to find since it was upstairs but other than that we had no issues and enjoyed our stay here. Felt very safe. Nearby street was noisy but it quieted at night. Not nearly as congested and crowded as las ramblas area.

NO HOT WATER @ the hostel

It was ok but they don't tell you before you book that there is no hot water for the showers. Also, at 10pm after my room had gone to sleep and the lights were out, the staff came in, turned the lights on and started loudly trying to sort out a problem about having double booked a bed with a guest. Rude and disturbing and don't understand why this had to be done in the room with people asleep in it.

Staff is amazing! Although they try to keep the hostel quiet it can be a little noisy inside and a lot of noise from the outside. But it's in a busy street.

On bathroom had a bad shower and the water pressure (which is great and fairly hot) was so strong it knocked the shower head off- it went wild spraying water everywhere and hit me in the head!
The kitchen is great, the location is great, staff is great and the vibe is quite nice.

Room was just ok. We had to ask for a blanket and it barely covered the bed.

The environment was very inviting and they had tons of things to do in Barcelona. My only complaint would be that our bed was way too squeaky and I'm a light sleeper so every time my partner turned around I would wake up. The bathrooms were clean and always accessible. The staff was just so nice and always asked if there was anything else they could do for us. Would definitely stay there again.

The hostel is well located in the city, with many places nearby well worth visiting. The facilities available were good, with a communal kitchen area and lounge to enjoy a drink or meal together, and computers to search the internet should you need any information.
Showering facilities were of a good size and quality and were kept clean throughout our stay. The hostel felt very secure with two locked doors prior to the room door.

The room was a little warm and needed ventilation through the balcony doors, which lead to the noisy junction outside, though the noise can be mostly deflected by using the shutters and provided the necessary draft.

Overall, would use the hostel again if in Barcelona again.

Great hostel with chill vibes and very friendly staff. Centrally located, close to metro station, Sagrada Família & the two casa designed by Gaudí, and walkable to La Rambla (~30 minutes). There are activities going on all the time (3 out of the 4 nights I was there) so you get to meet some new friends!

Great, homey hostel close to from Sagrada Familia

I had a great time at this hostel. The staff were all so sweet and super friendly. I always felt safe. There were always events going on when I got back from a long day, from a celebration of a culture's New Year, to hostel family dinner or the weekly pancake breakfast. There was always great food to eat and new friends to make. There are tons of great restaurants not from the hostel and shopping a 10 minute walk away. There are also convenient bus lines and train lines near by to get into other parts of the city. While the rooms were a little small, the mattresses are really nice and there's a living room and computers provided. The hostel is big and there are tons of bathrooms. Really a quirky and cozy place. I would definitely come back. As a student, I think this is a great bang for your buck and feels like a really fun dorm experience.

Well-decorated, cozy hostel in central Barcelona

One of the nicest hostel experience. (without the use of wild hyperbole) Neat deco, clean facility, staffs are very enthusiastic and helpful, too. Although it's a small hostel (around 15 rooms), it's well equipped-- a public kitchen (tea, coffee for free; serves free dinner and pancake breakfast once a week, too), several toilets and showers and a nice living room (with two public laptops free to use). The indoor decorations are amazing, attached photos for you to view what's very neat! I stayed in a double-bed room by myself. My room unexpectedly turned out to be a \"princess\" room-- a stylish bed with curtain, a garden patio set and a big window facing the street, I was very very impressed. The price is fair, affordable especially for students.

A very friendly and well designed hostel. A good location for tourist sights and transport options. A friendly welcome with a tour of the hostel and lots of information about the city. The dorm was a good size, with bunk lights, lockers with a padlock and lots of sockets. The common areas, kitchens, sitting areas, bathrooms and computer room were lovely and very clean. I was there on a Wednesday so there was a free meal in the evening. There was also free tea and coffee at all times. The price was excellent value. Highly recommended.

So many hostels these days are \"cookie cutter\" facilities that are nice and clean, and offer substantial services (meals, free tours, parties, etc), but do not offer the guest an authentic environment that represents where the guest is. It's not a big deal, but I experienced it here and it was a very welcomed experience. This isn't a typical hostel in several way, for instance, they don't offer regularly scheduled breakfast, or free walking tours. However, this hostel is obviously a very large (older) European flat that has been converted into a hostel. It's extremely homey and comfortable, warm and inviting. From the art that adorns the walls, to the little european-style items that decorate the rest of the rooms. There are several very inviting, public areas that are furnished with comfortable chairs and couches. There are several private rooms as well as mixed dorm-style bedrooms. There are 2 nice sized kitchens with all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay, ie. refrigerators, microwave ovens, plates, silverware, etc.

The staff are absolutely fabulous. Pam was such a warm and inviting host that made check-in very simple and fast. She was always available to answer questions or to help out with places to visit and/or directions around Madrid. Other staff (Ron especially) was very helpful and kind. It was apparent that the staff here love Madrid, and do everything possible to help guests get the most out of their stay.

I travelled solo and stayed in a mixed 8-person room here for three nights and really enjoyed my time. The room doors are normally left open so people are constantly in and out of the lounge all day - very communal - it's a great way to meet and socialize with new people! The vibe is really nice - super laid back and friendly. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Barcelona!

Tried hostel accomodation based on reviews, not too keen on doing it again. Ok for young people used to dorm facilities, but not for older people looking for comfortable sleeping/bathing facilities. Hostel needs a change of mattresses, new tiling ing bathrooms to live up to its ratings!

well it is a hostel and i was a bit older than average guest but the staff who were all young couldnt have been any nicer and ever so helpfull and could show many of the others a thing or two .all the facilities were there and as to clean it couldnt have been better,they even do a small bag of laundry for you for 4€ wash dry and fold.they didnt supply any meals but therew were full kitchens and many shops and resturants downstairs.only one flight of stairs and i think there also was a lift. You have to remember this is a hostel and this is barcelona and only 5-10 minutes from la rambla so there is street noise and depending on what is happening can vary and also on how polite or drunk your other guests are but without hesitation especially as staff so great i would stay again.also each bed/bunk has a lockable cabinet for some of your items and the desk is manned 24 hrs and is notice on front door and buzzer

As an over 50 a hostel would not have been my first choice but I am really glad we chose Primavera it was excellent. My high scores as as a Hostel not a hotel, but I would definately stay again and for 1 or 2 nights this place (with your own room) is a definate.

Me encantó su ubicación. Las áreas comunes son muy bonitas.
Las camas y almohadas muy comodas.
No me gustó el cuarto compartido de hostal muy chiquito y no hay donde poner la maleta, el espacio es incómodo. Queno tengan shampoo, que no tengan aire acondicionado.
