Staff was incredibly helpful and made my stay wonderful. I enjoyed that the desk was manned 24/7 and everyone seemed to speak English (my primary language) well enough there were zero issue with language barriers. A hiccup caused by one staff member was corrected promptly and efficiently. Location of the hotel was AMAZING and so close to many cafes, restaurants, and walking distance to all the main sights.
If you are a light sleeper, the doors seem to be fire doors and close VERY loudly, regardless of how softly you close them. Not a big issue, but it definitely woke me up a few times.
Even with that, I would happily stay at this hotel again. Excellent staff and location really make for an amazing trip to such a wonderful city.

We stayed here for three days before our cruise started and we got everything done that we had on our checklist. All major sites were well within 15 minutes of walking at any pace. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant to deal with, very helpful with suggestions for eating and sightseeing. The only thing we thought was a bit odd was the elevators. They are tiny. They can barely hold two people & one piece of luggage. You very highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rome

The hotel is going through a refurbishment on the floor we stayed on though and the workers started much earlier than they should which was really annoying. But once we let the front desk know they did talk to them. But not something you should have to say.
Also the walls are paper thin it is not an exaggeration. You will hear your neighbours and because it is on a main road you will hear outside noise too.

We arrived 4 hours before check-in so they freely Stored our bags until our rooms were ready; even carried them up for us. 2 small elevators. Free breakfast with excellent coffee. 100 percent recommend. Won’t find anything this good for a comparable price. Better service than you find in the US.

The room was clean and somewhat quiet but it was at the back of the hotel. The “windows “ were not glass but metal panels with no screens. Was so hot you wouldn’t want to open them anyway because the A/C would never be able to cool the room down again. It also made the room dark like in a cave. But the quiet was worth it. My stay at the Hotel della Torre Argentina was excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful, Maria checked me in and also let me know about the amazing roof deck which has views of the Pantheon and.Sant’Ivo. I was here to teach a painting workshop and I actually did a painting from the roof deck there.
My room was clean and comfortable, and the AC worked great as I was here when it was very hot outside. The location is very central and walkable to lots of amazing things in the center of Rome.
I plan to return with my wife and look forward to my next visit!

There were good and not as good things about This hotel. One of the best things was its location: bus stop outside front door / taxi stand around the corner / walking distance to many sites. On the owner side was no air conditioning and so needed to keep the window open at night. Many nights people were yelling out on the street until 2-3 am. We had a double bed which in Europe is generally two twins pushed together. The beds kept separating and I slept in a 3 inch hole every night. Not very comfortable. The worst hair dryer I have ever used in my life. They didn’t provide hair conditioner. But the staff nice and helpful and overall we were pleased.

The staff were so helpful, especially with our 4am early checkout to get to the airport. Having the breakfast option, even just to get coffee and a pastry before heading out in the morning, was an absolute must. This is also just a great location as far as access to central Rome. There’s a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and it literally takes like 5 minutes to walk to the pantheon and some of the best coffee shops in the area. Some of the amenities are dated (the elevators for example) but I was looking for something a little old school with some character. The only actual problems I had were the street noise (not much you can do, that’s just the location) and how loud the bathroom was (the light also turns on the fan which is really loud, so you’re better off using your phone flashlight at night). I’m really glad we came here though. The staff was so friendly and ready to help (and everyone spoke excellent English if you’re nervous about visiting without knowing Italian).

I chose this hotel due its location, which was perfect. We could walk to all the main sites from here and as i was travelling along with my children, i wanted somewhere located on a busy street (this does of course have its downsides as there was traffic noise, but i did know this in advance from reading other reviews).

Cons: The heat & AC were “temporarily turned off” so that they could “have someone come out and turn the heat on for the season”. We were freezing even with 5 blankets. Water gets boiling hot if someone flushes the toilet in the room next door or ice cold so you constantly have to adjust the temperature. Pillows and bed were so stiff that my shoulder and hip were aching(I’m 27). There is a bus stop directly outside the entrance so there is constant noise you can hear from your room on top of the fact that you have people blocking the entrance almost every time you want to leave. The ambulances frequently pass next to the hotel and you can hear them loud and clear(bring earplugs). Cleaning crews start slamming doors and moving furniture at 7am.
Pros: The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The entire hotel is extremely clean. They restock your room, clean it/pick up & throw away trash, and make your bed every day. Staff has a lot of good information on the area!
