We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

The Four Seasons Casa Medina is a beautiful historic property with superb staff and great food. The hotel is located in Zona G, perfect for walking to great restaurants and accessing unique stores.

The rooms at the hotel while clean and sound proof with excellent showers, could use a little additional TLC due to usual wear and tear issues. The conversion to a hotel took place in 1988 and the last major renovation took place in 2015 when it opened as a Four Seasons.

It’s a very nice hotel within walking distance of many restaurants. The seating areas by the open air fireplaces were lovely. The breakfast buffet is beautiful.

If you are a light sleeper, you may find the thin walls an issue. We were awakened several times during the night when the people in the room above us flushed the toilet.

Older hotel that has been updated. While it is very charming it is not to the typical Four Seasons standards in other countries. The rooms are quite loud with street/car noise through the night.
Breakfast was great.
Staff was great.
Location away from the sites of the city but still pretty decent.

We have stayed at several FS properties over the years but this property didn’t meet expectations. We were given a room in the colonial building despite rooms in the newer building showing as available online. The room was dark and tired with a lumpy mattress and no heating (Bogotá in January is cold). We asked to upgrade to a suite and were quoted a cost that was higher than booking the suite online. The immediate area doesn’t feel secure. It’s a shame as we have upcoming trips to Bogotá and the rates are good but I’d skip this property for others in the area.

The hotel is a historic gem, it is very well maintained. It's really a charming place to stay. The area is full of restaurants, so at night, you can stay near your hotel. Also, it is between the old city, and the more modern part of town, so it is in the middle of everything. We loved it.

Colonial Luxury In Bogota’s Gastronomic Area

We chose to stay at this property because we wanted to be near the heart of the gastronomic area of Bogota where some of the best restaurants in the world are located (Leo, El Chato, etc). This property is a colonial architectural jewel, and the service is top notch. Nicolas, from front desk, made sure we had the most incredible experience! The Sunday brunch is also amazing. We have also stayed at the FS near Zona Rosa which is great for night life lovers. However, FS Casa Medina is our favorite when we visit Bogota.

The staff is not very accommodating. What was most disturbing was the staff holding me hostage while trying to get in my taxi to go to the airport and accusing me and my husband of stealing!!! BEWARE!

Very cute boutique Four Seasons. Old building with a lot of charme, the staff were very helpful and nice. Our room was very spacious and confortable.
Great little gym, food at the restaurant was great and so was the buffet for breakfast.
The area is actually quite nice for restaurants and coffee shops, we felt safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours even if not recommended by the hotel.
My only remark would be that no one was able to make a great espresso or espresso coffee, even with the great machine and local coffee, but maybe I am being difficult ;-)

When my wife and I got married we had our wedding reception and first night in Casa Medina, we enjoyed a lot. Now, 33 years later we went back to remember that. We find a larger facilities, new bar, new restaurant, new amenities and specially very friendly and attentive people, they made us feel very good, we loved our stay in Casa Medina. We will be back. No question, the best hotel in Colombia. The difference between good hotels and great hotels is the people, and Casa Medina proves this in more ways than one. The most attentive, respectful, accommodating, group of professionals I have come across in Colombia for the past 20 years. I’m a loyal client and won’t think about staying anywhere else.

The front desk staff tried to scam us into \"upgrading\" into a worse room than we reserved for an additional $100 USD per night. We reserved a Grand Premier Room. Upon checking in, they told us that the room was not available, but they did have a one-bedroom suite available for $100 USD extra per night. We inspected the one-bedroom suite and it was not a good room, not well designed and not functional. So when we rejected that offer, miraculously our original Grand Premier Room became available. I expect this type of scam from a lesser hotel chain, not the Four Seasons brand. Another person checking in at the same time as us had the same thing happen to him.

The concierge was exceptional and did a great job recommending places to go around the city.

Other than the check in, the hotel is in a great location and was very nice.

What a wonderful property in the heart of Bogota with a very authentic ambiance. We had a wonderful room with a fireplace and sitting room.
The staff was really friendly and courteous. And the bar and restaurant serve delicious food and drinks.
The location is in the heart of a great area of Bogota and you can walk to restaurants close by.

Beautiful hotel with very helpful English speaking staff. The room was very spacious and the entire hotel was very clean. I had one dinner and several breakfasts at the hotel. The restaurant staff is wonderful and the restaurant decor as the hotel and rooms is beautiful. Also, I enjoyed a fantastic massage at the hotel's spa. The location is in a nice section of Bogota with lots of restaurants, cafes and nicer stores. It's about a twenty minutes from Bolivar Plaza and touristy areas - which I found a plus -- the hotel area is much cleaner and quieter. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing Hotel

From before arrival to departure this was the best hotel we have stayed in! The service was impeccable. They asked for our arrival information ahead of time and scheduled pick up from the airport.

From stepping out of the car they addressed us by our names, made the checking in streamlined. The room was beautiful, lovely and cozy, with a wonderful shower and bathroom. Be aware though, there is an old (gorgeous) and a new part of the hotel.

The restaurant is quaint, with a good menu, excellent breakfast (worth the price), and again perfect service, and great cocktails. The front desk were always happy to answer questions, recommend areas to visit and restaurants to go to, making our reservations and confirming them. The restaurants they recommended were beyond our expectations. The hotel is in the area of Bogota known for great restaurants.

They also had drivers to hire which took us around the city with options to pay by the hour or per trip. You can message the hotel via WhatsApp and they send a car. They drivers were very polite, knowledgable and happy to show us the city.

Lastly, we used the spa for hammam and massages, which were the best we have ever received (and we have gotten many at different hotels around the world). The masseuses were professional and talented. It was an incredibly relaxing experience.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The service is wonderful and everybody goes out of their way for their guests. We will be back!

Beautiful but LOUD!!!

Property itself is beautiful and the staff is fantastic, HOWEVER, it was one of the loudest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I could clearly hear the kitchen staff talking and preparing breakfast from our room starting at 6 AM which made it impossible to sleep. The wood floors throughout also ensure that you hear every guest coming and leaving the property. Totally unacceptable to be awoken by staff and have a room be so loud at a Four Seaons property. Staff comped drinks at checkout because of disturbances but beware: Not a typical Four Seasons experience!

This hotel is beautiful and very well located, with elegant and comfortable rooms that are insulated from the hustle and bustle of the street outside. I would say the main attraction is the historic building itself. The spa is very good but not great, and same goes for the service. But the main drawback was the food—few options, bland and poorly presented. Really unappetizing to be honest. Went for a romantic getaway which included the idea of ordering delicious meals to the room but we were extremely disappointed. A luxury hotel of this level should have a kitchen and room service on par with everything else, but in this case it is sorely lacking. If food is important to your stay, look elsewhere.

Casa Medina is off a busy street, once you are inside it welcome you with the warmth of a home. Beautifully decorated with new and old art works and circular staircase goes all the way to its top 4 th floor. Staff always there to serve you. I really enjoy the breakfast and lunch I had in the hotel restaurant. However, it is not in the shopping district. If you intend to do shopping while in Bogota, the other Four Seasons might be more convenient for you.

Our stay was perfect. Four Seasons attention to service and detail exceeded my expectations. The room was quiet and comfortable and was made up twice a day. We traveled with a newborn baby and upon arrival the room had been equipped with baby bath, crib and diaper trash can. The staff was helpful in seeing to all of our needs. I look forward to staying at Casa Medina again in the future.

Lovely but price point too high

The hotel is charming. I stayed three nites in the lowest category room in the charming older s cation of the hotel. My room was large with many windows. The bath is clean and modern with a wonderful shower (no tub).

I thought the breakfast buffet which was not included in my expensive rate, was very uninspired offering commercial cheese and charcuterie and other standbys found in every 3-star hotel. The coffee, juice and service were exceptional.

The physical spaces and service are great but I simply cannot give highest marks because for less than half the price there are other, not as great, options and I would rather contribute to the economy in other ways.

Lovely, Colonia-Style Hotel in Bogota

I really enjoyed my one night stay at the Four Seasons Casa Medina. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel because it is pretty small--like a big mansion. I loved the gorgeous, gorgeous decor of the hotel with its Spanish colonial paintings, woodwork--everything. The staff is friendly as well and I especially enjoyed the great service at breakfast from Nicolas at the Castanyoles restaurant. I have to say that my favorite part was probably the awesome Loto del Sur toiletries--they smell so awesome--I wish I had bought some while I was at the hotel. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to return. The cleanliness is top notch as well as the bed linens--as you would expect from a Four Seasons hotel. It should be noted that the hotel, because it is a historical building, does not have air conditioning. They have fans, you can open your window, and apparently they can provide a portable air conditioner on request (which I didn't realize.) This hotel is a gem. I can't wait to come back.

We stayed 3 nights in the penthouse. Everything superb, it has a old world charm to it like restoration hardware store. Staff and room service excellent. Very quiet situated in zona G with excellent restaurants within 1-3 blocks. Would stay again for sure.
