Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff was very attentive, made check in and check out easy, and provided services for room services as requested. They were quick to communicate when we had questions, and gave great suggestions for everything from restaurants to beer halls to must see attractions. The location for this hotel can’t be beat- it made all of our plans incredibly easy to execute, and allowed us to walk around Munich being right in the city center. Despite being right in the middle of all the action, the hotel was very secure (we had to use our key card to get though multiple door access points to get to our room), and our room was very quiet; the noise from the Main Street never carried into our room, which is difficult to imagine given where it is located.
We had an amazing time during our week long stay at Haus im Tal, and will keep it in mind when we visit Munich again. It served as a perfect home away from home during the week of Christmas :)

Great location! Staff is very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with coffees which is the way to my heart. The room was nice and roomy. We had the queen bed with a sofa that opened to a bed. We had a nice balcony with a view of the alley and buildings around us which was pretty. It snowed one of the days we were there so we got to see the snow on top of the building. The room has a nice size tv and a curtain between the sofa and bed for privacy. Bathroom is great. They have a hair dryer and shower items that you would need. The bathroom has a towel warmer which is a nice addition for the cold weather. The heater in the room worked great. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are steps away from great restaurants and all the shopping stores. Definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located at a convenient location, 5 min walk from Mariplatz. There’s convenient pharmacy and supermarket right next door and across. The room we booked is a decent size for a family of 4 and there’s a good size balcony. However the lighting in the room is super dimmed. And the a/c wasn’t very strong.
The hotel does supply fans and a mini fridge when requested which was helpful.

Loved our comfortable and clean room. Our breakfast was unbelievably delicious! All of the staff is friendly, helpful and kind and made us feel welcome. The hotel is located near the sites making walking around very easy! We will be back!

Upon check in, which we got to check in early, I was greeted with a cappuccino and friendly service, which is so welcome after a long flight. I also got one at checkout for me and husband, which was awesome. This hotel is also fun and has a DJ on certain nights. They always prioritize the guests even when there is event. Room was clean and we got a Negroni delivered at night which was a lovely thought. Room service came every single morning without fail. Definitely stay here. You can walk to everything!

The location is unbeatable—right in Old Town and close to everything. I stayed in the downtown apartment room, and even with the weather hitting 85°F / 29°C, the room stayed comfortable. The fans they provided helped. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were truly exceptional—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to any friend visiting Munich, and I’d gladly stay here again myself.

Trendy but not comfortable
It was a very 'cool' hotel, or definitely trying hard to be. The bed was very comfortable and the room very very clean, so overall a good stay. However, I was supposed to be in an apartment but due to over booking I was apparently upgraded to a studio. But I don't see how that was an upgrade. It had 10 chairs, not one of them was comfortable to actually sit on. I guess I don't see a need for a giant dining room table and bar. I would rather have a comfortable chair or sofa. Also it was weird that there wasn't a garbage in the bathroom, only it the bar, so just inconvenient. The AC was definitely on eco mode and couldn't be changed, so it was very warm in the room regardless of the temperature control.

Fantastic hotel, just a stroll away from Marienplatz and the clock towers. Room had a balcony which was a great size and got the sun all afternoon. Staff and service were incredible - really friendly, attentive and helpful. Rooftop bar was very cool and amenties were great. Provided a bed for our dog and lots of information about Munich and its bars & restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend!

I just gave 4 stars because the hallways carpet is in terrible shape and full with stains. It needs to be updated. Location is great if you want to be downtown, but it can be a little noisy if you want to leave the balcony’s door open. No noise problems with the door closed. The breakfast was also good.

The room was not particularly comfortable for two seniors. The platform bed was in an alcove and required climbing in from the foot. The only seating was a hanging basket chair and a bean bag chair.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had the warmest welcome possible from the staff who gave us a nice glass of cold beer when we checked in. The hotel has a cool vibe to it and the staff are all positive and friendly. The room was perfect with a massive, comfortable bed and the bonus of an outdoor balcony. A kettle and coffee maker are also there. Room was spotlessly clean and we will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Munich.

This is NOT a hotel. It is more like a hostel but worse. First room smelled like urine and was moved to the next room. Next room had these weird carpet stains and dust bunnies in every corner. Not to mention all the rooms are very dark and dark paint chipping on walls and ceilings… most likely painted to hide stains and other unsanitary situations. Didn’t even want to take our shoes off. Would not give us a refund and offered another room…. I’ve seen the standards of their rooms at this point, so we just left and booked an actual hotel. I have never walked out on a hotel in my life!!! When we exited the room, some of the staff were gathered around the hallway whispering at us and staring. I never complain about hotels but this was THE MOST atrocious experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself and book another hotel.
