Only one thing is unacceptable about my booking and actual check-in:
In my booking, it's showing include breakfast for 2.
But when I check-in, hotel lobby staff told me the booking from Expedia does not include breakfast.
They asked me to contact Expedia. I only found a virtual agent. But my question still pending

I was eagerly looking forward to a week long getaway At Intercontinental Dameisha Resort and was very disappointed. The check in lines are horrendously long wait times. After finally checking into my room the air conditioning kept shutting off and the room was continually hot. It cut off in the middle of the night. I woke up sweating. I turned it on again in the morning went to the fitness center, but when ai returned it was hot again. I went downstairs to the front desk to request another room. They instead sent a maintenance person. The air worked while the maintenance guy was there. Then again it went out in the night. Two unbearable, expensive, nights wasted miserably hot. I went down and requested another room. I was moved into the next room. I was ready to go to the pool and the safe didn’t work. I returned to the front desk. Again maintenance was sent to repair the safe. The next day the sink was clogged. I returned once again to the front desk and had to again wait on maintenance.
It definitely was not a relaxing, stress free holiday.
I was annoyed that I had spent the money. However; next holiday it is certain I will choose a different hotel for my holiday.

Great beach hotel.

A beach hotel that is actually on the beach. Perfect golden sand, warm and safe waters with huge swimming pools for adults and children. Well equipped gym. Outlet shopping area 10 minutes walk away. We are here off season and very quiet. As a large hotel could be difficult to get loungers in high season. Reasonable breakfast. Dinner only worth it if included. Food and drinks very expensive. Overall very clean and lovely hotel.

Great!

Lovely hotel, great views and private beach. Was disappointed that the Italian restaurant we previously enjoyed was closed within the hotel. The service was slow at times when on the beach- there were long waits for drinks etc, however overall it was a lovely stay with friendly service and beautiful hotel. Would definitely stay again.

The outdoor pool is totally damaged. It is not a resort at all. They are rebuilding it and it causes significant noise in the room. The food inside hotel is super expensive. It doesn’t make any sense to spend any time around the hotel. Very bad experience over there.

This situation should be notified to customers. I want to get some compensations for this.

Beautiful hotel and room was excellent. The only thing they didn’t mention when I made the booking was the outdoor pool was being demoliised after the recent typhoon. This wasn’t a problem as it was too cold to swim anyway, but the problem was work started at 9am and didn’t finish until 8:30pm so there was no chance of a lie in.

Comfortable but pricey resort hotel

I was impressed when checked in but became a bit disappointed when checked out. We booked 7 rooms and were offered to upgrade 4 rooms to 2 suites free. The rooms are spacious especially the suites. Facilities not enough for hotel of this class. It is good to have a private beach but the swimming pool needs to be cleaned more thoroughly as there were leaves and bugs when we swam. Breakfast is good when many choices of food. More training is also needed for staff to handle client's request. For the same request, one staff said yes and the other said no. We have arranged for late check out and eventually they said they have no record of our request.

We had a great stay the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Hunk Cheng on the concierge desk did an outstanding job organising a game of golf for us at Wind Hill .
The smorgasbord was good value for money but remember to get a discount voucher from reception.

Difficult to get to. Rooms are large and breakfast buffet is good quality! However, rooms can be better kept. Had booked a room for a single but ended up with two beds. When I entered, the room was not prepared, i.e. drawers left open, curtains left undrawn (it was night time when I arrived).

We had booked the hotel with king bed selection, however, in somehow, hotel giving us the double bed, since they are saying that the king bed selection is preferred, anyway, after long discussion over 1 day and night, they switch the king bed room for us the second day, however, we had waste first day out of 5 nights, which really not a good experience. Anyway, overall service sound good, and make sure you have brought the wifi router (or any prepaid 3G/4G card) so on, since this hotel is one of the few in China require to pay for network (WIFI)... sound unbelievable...

A short beach resort getaway

It was a short get away for me, away from HK to a close beach resort for only 2 night. This resort is everything you would want to be for a beach resort hotel, that is only 30 mins away from LoWu. The view was amazing, but the bathroom facility seems a bit old. Still very clean and tidy. My visit was during week days, so there were hardly anyone at the beach. Spent most of time around the beach and pool. The sand quality was good, and there is hotel service at the beach for hotel guess. The pool was very nice for after sunset swim. There isn't much outside of the hotel. I tried the street vendor food, it wasn't anything I would recommend. But it was still nice to venture outside of the resort. I would highly recommend anyone from Shenzhen or HK looking for a short beach getaway. A prefect way to recharge.

Great hotel, great service, poor food lets it down

Great place to get away with views over the South China Sea. Amazing swimming pool and nice communal areas. This part of Shenzen is a bit like a Chinese version of Southampton. Shopping Malls, Marinas and Amusement parks. Great for the children but not much real Chinese culture. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful and polite. Food in the restaurants is overpriced and unhealthy for the most part. Avoid the overpriced and average Chinese restaurant in the hotel (with rude staff) and go across the road to eat good Chinese food cheaply

Great hotel for staying but......

In general - the hotel is great for staying, perfect environment, a few things that I do not like are:

1. I saw your uniform staff feeding the Japanese Koi at the ground level pond with kitchen left over (pork head skin in marinated sauce) - very oily food is not suitable for fish, even if they are just ordinary crap which eat anything - I don't think the staff was the intended person who take care of the fish, but the fact that he did fed the fish is just wrong

2. the buffet you have available from the \"Feast\" is way too damn expensive even compared to 5 stars hotel in Hong Kong...and it offer no flexibility in offering some of the items for room service, for example, I was trying to order some fresh oysters, but your staff told me that I cannot order them unless I am paying full for the buffet..sadly, I have to cancel all order

3. While the pricing of your Chinese restaurant on the ground floor is more acceptable, the portion of each dish is too small, for around RMB 165.00 each portion, I ordered two portion of goose liver, the same price in Hong Kong hotel in similar fashion would be 3 times the size on the food, however, the staffs were very good at serving.

4. Your staff who answered the phone when I chose the guest service button, speaks good reception English but have little understand of real English, so I have to switch back to mandarin speaking before the staff understand what I said when I was asking for two extra tubes of shower gel.

5. The most disappointing thing after all is on the day I check out, I called your guest service to request a late check out, she told me we are not allow to have late check out, when your web site said it is ok, I confront your staff again at your reception when I was checking out and settling bills at your reception, they also said it is ok to do late check out...so your damn guest services operator clearly screwed up.

6. Wi fi reception at the main lobby is very poor even when there are only few people at the lobby bar and most are not using the wi fi service, I had used my laptop top, and two 3G smart phone, all resulted with very poor connectivity

Overall satisfactory. View was pretty good.You could slow down a bit and relax.Most of the staffs were nice and would warm welcome you.The temperature of room was too stuffy due to the poor ventilation of the air conditioner.No further improvement even checked by their technician. I was disappointed and slept not well.They should pay more attention on it.
Fortunately I was admitted in late of October but not in hot summer!!

I wanted to enjoy the beach on a recent business trip. I wanted a Western hotel and have stayed at many Sheratons and been greatly satisfied. The Hotel was beautiful and right on the beach with lots of amenities.

I wanted to go fishing and went to the concierge to arrange a trip and terrible english, so he got a manager to come over to translate; he said no fishing on a boat was available. I was surprised because this was a fishing village right on the sea. I got online and found one myself, so yes they are available and he would have just got on the phone and made a couple calls he could have saved me a lot of trouble.

The breakfast area was also nice with a big wall of windows and a great view; if you smoked... non-smoking seating was inside with no view.

I wanted some piece and quiet so I turned on the don't disturb light at the door. The maid service slipped a \"sorry we didn't clean your room because of the don't disturb light\" note under the door. Then kept knocking on the door and finally she just came right in saying she needed to clean the room. I called the front desk livid, they apologized. But it ruined my day at that point.

There are no real activities around but the hotel has lots to do. Overall I was not satisfied due to the lack of English speaking staff and incompetent concierge and cleaning staff.

今次訂住upgraded room , 住在9樓。（上次住12樓）
今次酒店外邊有裝修，8時多已被吵醒….. 很困擾。不明白不安排去較高樓層或給予優惠作賠償。
星期四早上去早餐，有職員建議去另外一層用歺，因為樓下餐廳大堂用歺很多人。但星期五早上，竟然取消另外一層用歺！正堂那邊排隊超過20 人，當時係9:45am…… 我查問為何今天不開另一層，職員竟然答今天星期五比昨天少人，所以不開放額外樓層。唔係呀？星期五，六入住率一向係高峰，這是常識吧！估唔到所謂五星洒店要排隊吃早餐，不作即時反應！
房間整理非常好，員工友善。海灘、泳池也整潔不錯。

The hotel is well maintained. It is clean, spacious and very comfy.
Hotel staff is very nice, well trained and smart. Kudos to those at the concierge and the restaurants coping with large breakfast crowd and those definitely not friendly and bad mannered guests grabbing breakfast at the buffet table, dropping stuff on the tables and floors, shouting when they were told to queue for a table at peak hours when their peers were busy emptying trays of food and loading them onto their own plates, reluctant to leave.
Big applause to the hotel staff. Not that I will return to this hotel, but I like the brand. Will visit their others.

和男友的小旅行

酒店服務很好，按摩也很專業，房間很舒服很大，周圍也很安靜，晚上睡覺時候只聽到樓下的海浪聲。酒店有很棒的泳池和私人海灘，很乾淨舒服。晚上在海邊走走，幾步路就回到房間。附近雖然安靜但是很多地方吃宵夜，很好。

全海景真的很赞！！酒店开业已久，房间设备有些旧，有些味道可以理解。酒店娱乐设施可以更为丰富，室外有三个泳池，室内有恒温泳池，儿童乐园较小，早餐味道不错，种类可以更为丰富，房间内没有地毯的地板，碰水后较滑。总的来说，体验不错，可再次入住。服务态度真的赞！！

酒店對出的沙灘大部份都封了不能內進用作室外泳池維修. 室外泳池全部在維修中. 工程進行到晚上九點多. 做成噪音. 但這些在貴司予訂酒店網站中沒有詳細提及.

春节期间入住，房费double，但酒店过节气氛还挺不错，除夕晚上酒店餐厅还提供了变脸的表演，很赞。海景房间景观很好，房间比较干净，床上用品也不错，但是床垫睡起来感觉太软了。另外海滩由于山竹台风的影响，还在修复中，大面积不能使用，是不是效率有点低了。

Nice place to get away from the noisy Shenzhen

They should train their stuff to learn English , cause one speaking manager is not enough . It took us around 40 minutes to check in because they couldn’t find the English speaking person . Neverendlesd wedding on the beach is very annoying . The outside pool was closed for the remodeling ( reconstruction ) the food and beverages were okay .
