The front desk service was excellent. The staff kindly provided a small cake upon learning it was our birthday, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

However, the sound insulation in the room could be improved. We could clearly hear doors opening and closing loudly in neighboring rooms, as well as people passing by the door.

The breakfast selection was less varied than expected, with a heavy emphasis on bread and pastry items. That said, guests who enjoy baked goods would likely be satisfied. The dining area itself was very pleasant and comfortable.

Overall, we appreciated the attentive service and comfortable dining environment, though there is room for improvement regarding room noise isolation and breakfast variety.

Attractive hotel

Wonderful hotel, especially with our VIP Perk upgrade. Our room was one of the best we've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully laid out.

The whole hotel is very attractive, and the staff were great.

Breakfast is expansive, with a host of Western and Eastern foods available. There's something for everyone, and the coffee is good with enough machines to prevent queuing.

這酒店服務各方面都很好。因為受傷不能企立太久, 訂房時要求一張膠凳放洗手間, 都做到了; 又幫忙延後退房時間, 很體貼。到達時, 小帥哥職員見我們落車, 即時過來幫忙從車尾箱取行李; 離開時, 等網約車, 小帥哥也細心地告知, 車還有幾分鐘才到達, 天熱氣, 可以先在酒店內稍等。
交通也方便, 附近有世界之窗和歡樂谷等地標, 不難到酒店位置。酒店內有中西餐廳, 對面街及商場都有很多食店, 很多選擇。房間很舒服, 沒有煙味, 露台可看遠景, 視野不錯。浴室有普通花灑及雨淋花灑選擇, 水壓很好, 但有些瑕疵, 是欠缺掛鉤, 想掛衣服毛巾也不行, 也沒有掠衣縄, 濕衣只可以濕淋淋的, 直接掛到露台, 但天雨就有點麻煩。自助早餐也不錯, 食物及飲品選擇不少。
室內室外泳池是相通的, 方便隨時轉場, 室外泳池有天幕, 天雨也可以暢泳。室內泳池有間水線, 很方便練習游泳。健身室也在同一層, 一家人便可以各自各精彩。
下次渡假, 我也會選擇這酒店。

This was our 3rd trip to this hotel, but our first since China had reopened to American visitors. Two of the three restaurants have closed and not reopened. The outside bar and vip area was closed. The outside pool was closed. The wait staff spoke poor or no English and the menu was severely limited. At Maro more than half the food was unavailable and their drink menu was almost non existent. The staff spoke little English. The front desk staff was kind and rooms were nice. I hated to see this property go down hill so badly. Now we will have to find somewhere else to stay at our next visit. :(

The 4 star Wow factor wasn’t there! Kinda SAD

It was to loud at night, the walls are thin! The TV is small, the carpets needed deep cleaning, the lamp behind the sofa was hard to turn on because you have to move the sofa, the crack between the two beds was uncomfortable and the USB socket near the bed didn’t work. The body soap isn’t 4 star quality! The breakfast was extremely good and the room was clean. Most likely wouldn’t stay here again! Kinda Sad to say this!

Shenzhen has a nice vibe and the area just off the beaten path near this hotel (Huaxia St) has some excellent street food and some chilled bars. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is near two theme parks but somehow this did not spoil it. Hotel is a little past its best but spacious and clean and overall a pleasant place to stay.

The room was big and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was oily, sugary and lacked healthier options. I understand that it won’t be western style and that it would be a fusion style breakfast. I asked if they had a certain type of Chineses breakfast food I know I like and tried to use some Chinese to do it . Two staff members laughed at me and left me feeling embarrassed. It regretted paying for breakfast.

Stayed there for 22 days for business trip. Received an upgrade. Internet is awesome, very suitable for professional usage. Most staffs are wonderful , well trained, polite and very professional! Lots of greetings and benefits from hotel. David from Italian restaurant, Daria from customer service gave us lots of recommendations in going around Shenzhen ! Helen from customer relation and Emma from sales department also gave us the best support during our stay ! House cleaning lady is very delicating and caring ! Best location, 3 minutes walk to subway station! The only downside is the new gym was not open yet and no spa service in the hotel when we were there. But I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel location is fantastic, practically in the middle of everything. There’s splendid china, happy valley and a large shopping mall with many restaurants. My window faced Window of the World which nice at night time. The room itself is good, but not really a 5-star, more a 4-star. It is a bit dated but functional. Breakfast was very good.

Stayed for 1 1/2 weeks on a biz trip. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Location was convenient to a large mall, and all types of restaurants ranging from street food to upscale. It was near a metro train station for weekend excursions (for example took the train to Shekou port for 4 RMB, then caught the ferry to Macau one day, or just took the train to the Futian border crossing, walked across to Hong Kong). Staff helped explain which trains to catch, etc.

I'll be staying there again.

This hotel is in a good location. Close to the subway but not central. The hotel is sort of themed after the Venetian in Las Vegas (though you there are no gondola rides here). The rooms are OK, but relatively small and not sparkling clean - the wall coverings are showing wear and tear. The bed was not super comfy, but not bad either. Overall, I am not sure if I would stay at this hotel again.

The stay was pretty good. However, a couple of things not really cater to my wants: 1) hotel bed is pretty hard; 2) hotel location is a bit far from downtown SZ; 3) hotel breakfast buffet not much choices and expensive; 4) the rooms are a bit old. Having said all these, generally it's a good hotel to stay.

The Hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very polite and very helpful. The Breakfast buffet was great. The price is a bit too much compared to other similar hotels. Regarding Lunch and Dinner, I did not see enough Chicken dishes.

Great location, centrally located, walking distance to several attractions, shopping good restaurants. Two minutes from the subway and easy access to the rest of the city by cab.

The room was clean, the bed was very firm but comfortable. Internet access was easy and reliable, which I found refreshing. I had to use the hotel phone for a call and that was clear, easy to call out on and cheap for a call back to the US.

The breakfast bar was very comprehensive, from eggs and continental food to rice, soups and fruits for the local breakfast experience. The staff was very friendly and very efficient. Nothing took very long, I don't think I really waited for any service.

I checked in at 4 AM due to a late flight. No issues with showing up late, was able to get into my room quickly, and the do not disturb sign was honored in the morning with no issue. Once I got up there was a note to call the desk for cleaning and when I went out my room was cleaned when I got back well past when the maid service was normally working.

No complaints.

this hotel is beautiful.
rooms are big and clean.
No issues with Internet, suitable for skype calls,
Pool area was best in China I have seen, both indoors and outdoor pools.
This is a great hotel for vacationing too, because there are several attractions very close.

Only issue was the cost of food. It was ridiculously expensive.
Make sure you negotiate buffet breakfast with your room rate, maybe it will be at a discount.

Got a room on the top 17th floor which had a great view. The room was kind of small but very clean and well appointed. The breakfast on the 16th floor has a balcony that also has a great view. For us, the Most enjoyable was the big outdoor pool. If your goal is shopping, don't stay here because it is a long drive to the Louhou Shopping district. If you're bringing family and want to be walking distance from three theme parks then this is perfect for you.

I stayed at the Venice Hotel in Shenzhen for ten days. It is a good hotel in a good location. Restaurants, a shopping mall, and a 7-11 across the street from the hotel. Subway station is a block away. Easy to get a taxi or bus as well.

Hotel desk staff were helpful. Currency conversion was a service I used. Exchange rate was very fair. HOWEVER, be sure to bring crisp undamaged unfolded $100s. They run each bill through a machine to determine authenticity. ANY tear, missing corner or even a fold may prevent the machine from accepting the bill. I had several bills denied. Eventually I was able to have a friend take them to her bank and the bank accepted them. FYI

I had a very good stay at the Venice Hotel.

A good hotel to stay for family vocation

Reasonable cost among the same quality hotels. Very convenience, subway just across the street which leads to the SHENZHEN airport and access to main attractions, business centres& shopping malls easily. Besides, the three theme parks are right next to it in a walking distance and many fine dinning restaurants are close by as well. This is the centre to the major districts around Shenzhen. Also you can board on a crossing border bus to Hong Kong just opposite the hotel. Good place to stay in Shenzhen.

I had experienced unexpected noise during my stay, my room was beside staff elevator well, can barely hear when it's under operated. Even more worse, the room was facing the pool side, there is a Vclub with loud music till mid night. I have to required to change room in the mid night, though I really didnt willing to do so as I already slept on my bed with pajama. However, can't suffer till bar closed at 3am. As I had early business meeting which forced me to change the room at 1am.

A most enjoyable stay

I was on a business trip and it was my first visit to Shenzhen. I asked my friend to recommend a few hotels in the area. I am really glad that I eventually selected this hotel.

Its location is really good as it is very near good restaurants and shops which makes it very convenient. The hotel staff are among the most helpful that I have met. The wifi in the room is fast and it is free.

If I do have a complaint, it is about the coffee in the groundfloor restaurant. They just do not make hot coffee, it is always very lukewarm.

A colorful upscale hotel

The Venice (until recently Crown Plaza) is a very attractive upscale hotel in the Overseas China Town (OCT) area of Shenzhen, directly across Shennan Blvd from the major Window of World attraction and next to a shopping center and subway station. The Italian theme throughout the hotel, with Italian art and tile mosaics, makes it a colorful place. Rooms are a little worn, at least the low-end room that I had, but still very nice. One problem in the room was a water leak next to the bathroom that left a wet spot at the edge of the carpet by the wall. The maid put a waste basket near it one day, so I guess they know about it but didn't attempt to fix it while I was there. The only other problem with the room was noise from a nearby amusement park all day though not too bad. The bed was very soft and comfortable.
The only major disappointment was the buffet restaurant, especially at breakfast. Service and atmosphere are very good, and food quality good, but variety not nearly as good as it was a few years ago and ought to be in a 4+ star hotel. Only iceberg lettuce some days, or even shredded green cabbage and no lettuce, as well as no whole-grain artisan bread ought to be a real embarrassment for a hotel like this. This is the kind of thing that 2-star hotels offer. The nearby but otherwise uninteresting Westin has a good buffet, at a justifiably higher price. The pool is very nice.
