The property was a bit out of town 10-15 minutes. However, they do provide a limited shuttle service at no cost. It’s an older property but was very clean. The hotel is built built up the hillside so they shuttle you up and down when requested. The driver for this service is wonderful! The view of the ocean is nice. The food was very good.

A lovely hotel. Beautiful setting. We loved our stay and the staff made us feel really welcome. There was a free transfer bus into town several times a day and night and parking was available if you had a car.

The pool was quiet and always beds available and breakfast had a good selection.

We all really enjoyed our stay at Epic Blue of San Marco. The staff were very friendly and so helpful and kind, especially Mariana at the Epic Blue reception. We didnt get to say goodbye! She was so lovely to my son Aziz, he was very fond of her. The location is slightly far compared to the main town but the free shuttle buses were very easy to travel in and out to the main town. The shuttle buses drives were all very kind. With the location being abit out of reach, it meant the hotel was always so tranquil and quiet which was perfect for relaxation with its exceptional views. We will love to be back again and thank you all for a wonderful stay!

It had a very lived-in, boutique feel with amazing views from our junior suite. Staff was friendly and the included breakfast was great! 2 things that could be improved were 1) providing drinking bottled water daily instead of just the 1st day, and 2) the bottles of shampoo, gel etc provided in the bathroom were unreadable so I applied the hair conditioner on my feet thinking it was body lotion. The water is also very hard, so the faucets had a lot of rust stains and mineral deposits. Also, if you like the room with views there are plenty of steps, so be prepared. Overall a great experience!

Luxury should not be in the name of this hotel. FIrst, it is all the way in the middle of nowhere, far from town, and although they provide a free shuttle into town all day, there is no point of staying here. The price is high for the condition of the hotel. THe last time this hotel was most likely remodeled was maybe 20 years ago, it is beyond dated. The WORST part was that I was staying here and working on my computer at night, and the internet is HORRIBLE. When we complained several times, they said this never happens, and then i saw 3 other guests in the lobby late at night working as well at 2am b/c the room internet wasn't working whatsoever. When we asked them for some kind of accommodation, they credited us $40. That's ridiculous. If this hotel was smart they would have at least comped 1 night, considering all my work was delayed b/c of the horrible internet connection. Also, some staff was very nice, and others were just bitter and rude, no smiles, and just made you feel like they were miserable to be there. Don't try to say that doesn't affect someone when trying to enjoy their vacation. I didn't enjoy this hotel one bit. I felt dirty the whole time. The beds were rock hard, the bathrooms felt old and dirty, and furniture was decades old. The expensive price of this hotel does not match everything about it, guest services, internet, room update, grounds update, location to town, all of the above.

We reserved a villa and there was construction adjacent to our villa. Hammering, sawing, concrete trucks and pump trucks. Construction materials and debris. Woke up the next morning to hammering sawing, and more construction.

Hotel is nice, but very close to anything. They do offer a free shuttle service to town and back which is terrific! The hotel is a bit far out, so get any drinks or snacks before heading back for the day/night. The porter on staff is superb - he works all the time! The rest of the staff is just so-so or it just could’ve the whole relaxed island life attitude. Our first room was quite small and the air conditioner clicked all night and actually didn’t really work and the reception didn’t really seem to care when I mentioned it. Our second room was bigger and better, but the bed was still very hard. Overall a nice hotel, but probably wouldn’t stay again.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at San Marco and would absolutely not recommend it to anyone.
We really didn't feel it delivers what is advertised on hotel.com or that this is in any way a 5* hotel.
The hygiene in our room and bathroom was really poor. The joints in the shower were covered in mold and everything looked old and not well looked-after. The towels were dirty and the bedsheets 30 years old, at least.
We were also very disappointed with the service.
The staff at the hotel is very rude, unwelcoming and completely unhelpful.
They couldn't advice us on restaurants or places to go and only had one option for car/quad rental that was 3 times more expensive than any other option in town.
After we made a reclamation with the manager about the poor hygiene in the room, they didn't even say hello to us anymore.
The hotel promises you access to the spa. Yes, but at extra cost. Your transfers from the port or airport will also cost you a fortune.
We are sad that this hotel is so praised by hotel.com and feel we have been mislead.

Very high end beautiful hotel. Offers stunning views
Of water. When we arrived- we were given an amazing room upgrade. We had booked two rooms and were given a villa - likely possible due to our short stay, and it was stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. Very high service. Also if you are looking for a part of Mykonos that is not as busy or in the party center, this is a very good place. Just outside of Mykonos town which is beautiful for shopping and eating. Many stunning homes surround the area.

לא משהו בכלל.. בטח שלא 5 כוכבים.. הייתי מדרגת אותו כ3 וחצי ולא יותר.
החדרים בינוניים לגמרי, רהיטים כפריים ולא מודרנים בכלל.. יש אור מטורף מהחדר ואי אפשר לישון אחרי 6 וחצי בבוקר
ארוחת בוקר לא משהו בכלל.. הכל ישן ובחדר סגור, לא אווירה של נופש ובטח שלא של מלון 5 כוכבים.. בריכה ממש קטנה, לא כמו בתמונות.
המלון מצריך נסיעה של 12 דק לעיר, לא ממקום ליד שום מקום מרכזי.
לא הייתי חוזרת.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa with a private pool and it was one of the most unique hotel experiences I have ever had. The accommodations we're amazing. The view was breath taking and the hotel staff was as nice as can be. This is definitely some place I will stay at again.

My husband and myself had a wonderful week, the hotel is about a ten minute drive from Mykonos town but there's a free shuttle bus. It's best to hire transport whilst there but you can't drive into the town itself it's only a five minute walk into the town from car park.
It's very expensive in Mykonos but we did have some lovely meals especially the local fish. We had a deluxe room which was so large and the bed is so comfortable and a wonderful sea view with large balcony with sofa etc.

Very pleased with this hotel. I stayed here for 5 days wit my wife and we had a great time. We rented a car and for us was very easy to go around town and try different beaches. Our room was very nice, we had a beautiful balcony with amazing flowers. You can catch the best sunset in myconos from the hotel location. Staff is amazing, and aur room was cleaned every single day with new sheets and fresh towels. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you

Great gem close to the town!

San Marco was a lovely hotel about 10 minutes from the center of town. The rooms are clean and well kept, there is breakfast included, and the pool is lovely. The hotel runs a free shuttle to and from the center of town, which makes it very easy to explore and take advantage of everything in Mykonos. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was very pleased with this hotel!

Disappointing Experience

My sister and I went for 2 nights to Mykonos. We booked a 5 star hotel to treat ourselves. The website of the hotel looked amazing and we were looking forward to spend two nights there but unfortunately San Marco was nothing like we had in mind.
It all started when we parked the car. Nobody came to take our bags greet us ot at least show us the way to thr reception. It continued with the check in which took about an hour because there was only employee working at the front desk. The room looked nothing like the website. Instead of finding a modernly furnitured room we found an old fashioned room. We went to the reception immediatly and explained the situation. After some back and forth we managed to change to a renovated room like the one in the picture but it missed so many details that distinguish a 5 star hotel room from other less luxurious hotels. After check in we went to the swimming pool. Again we were not greeted by any personal. Nobody brought us towels. We had to take care of everything ourselves. The music was not suitable for the atmosphere. At 7:30 pm we wanted to take the hote bus. We were there ahead of time like many other guests. The bus, however, didn't have enough space so my sister had to stand because the bus didn't want to go twice. At 2 am we wanted to take the bys back. We were there 2 on the dot seeing the bus leaving. Even after calling the hotel nobody camr back and we had to take a cab. Disappointing!
However, Maria, Lukas & Mario were amazing!

Horrible hotel with horrid service

We were shocked at the conditions of this hotel. Breakfast included and everything was not fresh. The room was a disaster, the towels were dirty. We went out one day came back to find the back door wide open, the cleaning service left it opened with all my belongings.
If you ask for a cup of coffee in the am or water they tell you to get it yourself. I paid a lot of money for this trip was totally let down with the quality and service of the San Marco hotel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and they really should go get schooled and learn how to treat their guests.

Robbed!

Got robbed, management did nothing to help, we stayed in room for 5 hours only, manager didnt even offer a refund! Room wasnt ready when we arrived had to wait! Funny thing we left the room for 1 hour and thats when our room was robbed of everything! I think it was an inside job!!

In general, the hotel was very nice and the staff was very kind and ready to help in whatever way they can. The only setback was the distance of the hotel from everything, though they did offer a shuttle from the hotel to the old port (which is about a 5 minute walk to town). It just ends up being quite a process to get to any of the beaches because you either have to rent a car or find your way to the bus station on the other side of town to get there.

San Marco Hotel is away from Mykonos Town so the hotel offer free shuttle bus service.

Staff are friendly and helpful, including reception, restaurant and house-keeping. However, the property's condition is poor. In the bathroom, water is leaking on the floor. In the gym, none of the machines work! Light is off and needs to be fixed. Also, wifi is so weak and disconnect from time to time. I cannot even use the wifi there to access some commom website by my phone.

The staff were amazing, friendly, flexible, and accommodating. Such a great attitude. Breakfast was excellent. The room had a spectacular view of the ocean, was clean, and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect because it is 5 mins from port and the town of Mykonos. You don't want to be on another part of the island and far from everything. This location is perfect.

The only thing that was not up to par was their WiFi. If it is critical that you be connected at all times, you are going to have an issue. If not, then this is perfect.

Good enough! Nice breakfast buffet.

With a shuttle you may easily access to Mykonos. 11 times in a day. Starts at 9:15 to 01:45 late at night and turns back from town center, starting from 09:30 to 02:00 at Night!!!
There 2 pools, one sea water and the second at the top with a great view.
Good enough! Nice breakfast buffet also. Only missing thing for us was Turkish TV channel like TRT WORLD!

San Marco was a lovely base to explore the beautiful island ... My main comment would be about rooms. We had booked an Aegean Loft room, as 3 adults this room was more expensive than the Cyclades Junior Suite. There is no way in my opinion 3 adults could stay in the loft room, the raised loft area was only suited to children, but steps up and down were very steep. We requested a move to another room, we were allocated a (Cyclades Junior suite) this was done with no fuss and we settled into the suite, this was much more suited to us. My only other comment is I would of appreciated it if it was discouraged to have the many cats in the breakfast area, as many people adults and children would feed them with no regard to people eating around them... They are obviously not starving and scavenging for food.....

This hotel was located close to town and the port, but far enough away for family. Didn't hear any night life. It is too far away to walk down to port or town though. The staff are great and very helpful. Shuttle bus service was great. Breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from. Room was ok, no chest of drawers to unpack and the loft for the kids to sleep would get really hot, parents and older kids can't stand up while up there. Easily forget and hit your head. The ladder was dangerous when going up and down it.

Seems to be a \"bus tour\" hotel with large groups arriving and departing every few days

Looking for a quiet,relaxing break and I definitely found it here! The hotel is busy with tourist coming and going but always a sun lounger available by the pool and plenty of seating areas both in and outside for chatting with friends, reading or simply enjoying the weather/view. The food served was of a very high standard and full board pricing offered great value. The hotel is just a short shuttle bus ride from town which offers plenty of other options if you want to get out and about! The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculate to boot!! Topped off with lovely, friendly staff I couldn't have asked for more!

Classy Hotel away from the busy town.

Had a great week at San Marco Hotel. The staff were very hard working. Especially Vasillis who seemed to work twenty hours a day and always with a big smile.
Fine dining with Nicholas running the restaurant. Sociable bar with Kelly serving the drinks.
Cannot fault any of the many staff.
I recommend this hotel.

Too far away from anywhere

We booked this hotel on Expedia as it indicated the hotel was in St. Stefano which we knew has a lovely sandy beach. In reality the hotel was not within walking distance of St. Stefano. The hotel provides a free bus but that is infrequent and only necessary as there is no other way of getting from the hotel (except by hire car). The hotel was unable to pre-book taxis e.g. for early boats thus leaving us uncertain if we would be able to catch our morning boat. Buses stop at St. Stefano about 2 km away over a steep hill.

We were also exceedingly disappointed that the hotel was going to charge us 25 euro for a shared transfer to the airport (5km away). In over 15 years of staying in Mykonos every pension/B&B/hotel etc. has always offered free transfers.

On the plus side the pool is very nice and the breakfast is great (hot and cold food).

Overall we would not recommend this hotel unless you have your own transport.

I had the best summer in Mykonos and I’m so glad that I chose San Marco. We even extended for another night there. Everything was perfect and clean. The services were great and fast. I highly recommend San Marco for anyone who wants to visit Mykonos. They even upgraded my room for the rest of the stay. Best service period.

L’hotel è un 3 stelle, di certo non un 5.
Posizione isolata, lontana dal centro e dalle spiagge.
Occorre sicuramente prenotare un mezzo di trasporto, non è sufficiente muoversi con la loro navetta… ha orari assurdi ed è diretta solo al centro di Mykonos Town.
Le camere vista mare sono belle, però non tenute perfettamente (doccia con ruggine).
La pulizia è buona a parte per alcuni importanti circostanze.
Per quasi 3 giorni non hanno effettuato il refill di sapone e carta igienica.
Dopo aver provveduto in parte comprandola in un esercizio commerciale all’esterno, abbiamo chiesto alla reception di mandare qualcuno per portarci quanto necessario.
Dopo quasi 1 ora di attesa (che dovevano essere a loro dire 10 min) un addetto di corsa è venuto alla porta della stanza (posta alla fine di una lunghissima salita) bussando molto forte e lasciando carta igienica e boccette di gel doccia in fratta e fuori, facendole cadere per terra….
C’è di meglio…

In general a quite and nice place to relax, good shuttle service to Mykonos town. The young service ladies around the bar are quite unfriendly, it seems that they don't like their job. The breakfast is ok, but not more.
In general 4 stars would be enough instead of 5.

A mi familia y a mi nos gustó

Muy bonito hotel. El personal ha sido muy amable y nos han ayudado mucho. La piscina tenía salvavidas. No tan cerca de Mykonos por lo que me gustó por su tranquilidad y no demasiado lejos para poder disfrutarlo.
