We stayed at The Palmyra Hotel in Şanlıurfa during our trip through Turkey and had a wonderful experience.

The hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a great location for exploring the city, but what really made our stay memorable was the hospitality. Ali went above and beyond to help us during our visit and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.

The breakfast was easily the best we had during our entire trip through Turkey — fresh, delicious, and a perfect way to start the day.

If you’re planning a visit to Şanlıurfa, I would absolutely recommend The Palmyra Hotel for both the service and the overall experience.

The Palmyra is a wonderful hotel - the bedrooms surround a courtyard and our room was beautiful with a cathedral ceiling and modern bathroom. A very good traditional Turkish breakfast is served in a sun-drenched rooftop terrace, and there are separate terraces and seating areas around the courtyard. 24 hour reception, free internet and free parking next to the hotel - everything that makes for an enjoyable stay. Staff are courteous and very helpful and the location is only 100 meters from one side of the huge covered bazaar in downtown Sanliurfa where you’ll find the same offerings as Istanbul for half the price or less. The Palmyra is a real find and highly recommended.

From the moment we parked our car in the oto park till we checked out 4 days later we throughly enjoyed our stay. We could not find a guide and the hotel receptionist stepped in and made it happen. The room was beautiful, quiet and very comfortable. An excellent place to stay.

Lovely hotel within a short walk to Abraham’s Cave and Fish pond. Lovely comfortable room with great wifi. Wifi reached the bedroom. Hot water within a modern well presented bathroom. Spacious, magical outdoor area to chill. Got great advice from the hotel to get a bus to Gazientep from the Archeological Museum. Wish we could have stayed one night longer

A hidden gem in the centre of Sanliurfa, within a short walk of the archaeology museum, bazaar and Abraham's Pools. Mehmet and his staff were extremely welcoming and the building has been beautifully restored, but offering all modern facilities. My room was simply superb (even allowing for the low entry into the bathroom!) and it was a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast was also excellent, served fresh rather than buffet style. One small negative was the drumming and music from a neighbouring cafe which was on from 8-11pm.

Barking dog aside excellent hotel.

Palmyra is a lovely hotel an old mansion well restored. It’s super central most things in Urfa within walking distance. Excellent breakfast served also. Our only downside not the fault of the hotel the fault of the rude couple who decided to sit out in the courtyard area to smoke and drink late at night with their dog who insisted on barking at shadows. We asked them if they would move or put the dog in their room they said they would quiten it down but still stayed out in the courtyard with it barking intermittently. If you bring a dog to a hotel the first thing you should be mindful of is the other guests.

This hotel looks nothing from the outside but the rooms are round a central courtyard, either in the main building or across the road in the annex. I think the annex is nicer with lots of places to sit outside in a tranquil oasis. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly even though they did not speak English. There is parking next to the hotel. Breakfast is a basic and typically Turkish served in the main building. The hotel serves beer but not wine. Location is very good for the main sights and the hotel can recommend places to eat.

The rooms were okay in size and the beds were comfortable. Unpleasant odor comes out the bathroom's plumbing probable cause by the age of the city's plumbing system. Although the parking was free, the parking attendants were always trying to collect "exit fees" and at times were unpolite. The hotel manager took care of it, but it became an annoying ritual. It is centrally located to the attractions and Bazaar. The A/C was great as it was getting warmer out here. If you have mobility issues, you better ask for a ground level room. The manager and the staff were very friendly and willing to help.

This is one of our favorite hotels in Turkey! The room was large and had lots of atmosphere. It was a monastery formerly. We asked to have breakfast brought down 3 floors to the outside patio. No problem! Great service. Very nicely served and delicious. Our guide from the hotel to the archeological site was very good. Just a note that the guide was $17 US per person and the entry fee for foreigners was the same. So it was a $34 US each venture. Very worth it! The site is so well done and amazing.

Unique ness of the room, spacious. Walking distance to the balikgol park and fish pond and other historic sites. Many restaurants and shops around the hotel. Breakfast was good, an omelette, different types of jams and cheeses, tomatoes and cucumbers. Negatives were wifi is weak in the room, there was loud music all night from neighbors. And most irritating for me I feel like I was ripped off for the main historical Gobeklitepe tour offered at the hotel. It was a 15 minute drive and basically a closed museum and open air excavation site, everything was self explanatory, no need for a guide honestly . Transportation plus guide I was charged $150 dollars excluding the entrance fee which was 480 Lira. The whole tour took 2.5 hours total. Not happy about that. I had requested a taxi transfer to take us to the airport but he never showed up on time so the concierge kindly offered their ride and that was a nice gesture however the driver didn’t know the way, traffic was terrible, petrol light was on, so in the middle of all this we stopped to put petrol. Needless to say we almost missed our flight!

This is a beautiful place. It was like staying in a friend's home. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Everyone working here was kind and helpful. We communicated using google translate but it worked well. Breakfast was made fresh for everyone and was more than anyone could finish. When we would return in the afternoon from our excursions, we were offered tea or coffee and enjoyed it by the beautiful fountain. Parking was right by the property. The location was convenient as we were able to walk to the main shopping areas, restaurants and mosque. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a place that is like home.

Hidden Treasure of Sanliurfa is Magnificent

Historic stone house beautifully decorated and detailed with local crafts. Palmyra Boutique Hotel is absolutely wonderful. Large rooms, spotlessly cleaned. The breakfast the best I’ve had in my 32 years traveling through Turkey. The courtyard has an antique water fountain. The staff are kind and very meticulous about perfect service 24 hours daily. Mehmet can help guests with any questions about local sites. Gobeklitepe is only a 35 minute drive. Local sites are within walking distance and easily found. There is a positive energy at Palmyra Boutique Hotel. Everyone is eager to chat and drink tea around the fountain. Palmyra is also a perfect venue for weddings and other celebrations. There is a beautiful terrace and restaurant with majestic views. Highly recommended!

Perfect location in the middle of the old town, walking distance to Gümrük Han, Balilkli Göl and the castle. Also the Archeology Museum is just a short walk away. Very friendly nice staff, lovely Ms.Tuba serves you a nice Turkish breakfast with everything you can wish for. The owner is also every day on site, so things are running very smoothly in this little hotel. Rooms are clean and on different levels, I believe they have no accessible room. Since its a boutique hotel, don't expect every amenity of a standard hotel chain, still you will love the experience of staying at this property. Parking is just next door in a parking lot if you come by car. One shortcoming, which is not the fault of the hotel, the neighboring restaurant has every day live traditional music till 11PM. If you stay just one night or two it might be not a problem, even nice to listen, we stayed for a week to explore all excavation sites around and it became pretty annoying after a while. As mentioned, they stop by 11PM sharp, so stay out long for dinner or 'enjoy' the loud music. All in all I can really endorse the place, very nice experience with very nice and helpful people.

Wat een fantastisch hotel in een fantastische plaats en wat een fantastisch personeel. We willen niemand tekort doen want de waardering was er voor iedereen, maar we hadden een speciale band met Ali die ons zeer behulpzaam was. Ook de band met de hoteleigenaar en het andere personeel was warm en voelde goed. Het hotel is mooi ingericht als een 1001 nacht sprookje. Kamer superschoon en mooi gelegen op 1e verdieping waardoor we veel gebruik hebben gemaakt van het dakterras. Ontbijt was redelijk, maar we zijn inmiddels verwend moet ik zeggen. Parkeren kon naast het hotel en werd door het hotel betaald. Als zilver lid van Expedia kregen we en fles rode wijn van het hotel, keurig en lekker. Vanuit het hotel loop je zo naar allerlei mooie bezienswaardigheden en het oude centrum. Magisch vonden wij ook het lopen door de kleine straatjes van de bovenstad, een aanrader. Tip: als je je kamer opgeruimd wil hebben geef dan de sleutel af aan de receptie met dat verzoek, het gaat niet vanzelf. Dankjewel voor de gastvrijheid en ons fantastische verblijf.

Aralık ayında geldiğimiz için hava soğuktu. Isıtma klima ile olduğu için biraz zaman alıcıydı. Bunun dışında konforu iyiydi, kahvaltısı güzel ve doyurucuydu. Çalışanları ilgili ve yardıma hazırlardı.

10 numara 5 yıldız bir deneyim.. bir otel nasıl işletilir, işinin başında nasıl durulur adeta ders niteliğinde turizm meslek okullarında gösterilmeli. Kahvaltı mükemmel, tuvalet kağıdından havlusuna yatağına malzeme kalitesi üst düzey. Temiz, hijyenik, tavanı yüksek, ferah odalar. Talepleriniz ve ihtiyaçlarınız fazlasıyla karşılanıyor. Avlusunda oturup sohbet, muhabbet etmek için çok cezbedici. Otel sahibi uzun zamandır görüşemeyip kavuştuğunuz bir abiniz gibi hoş sohbetli, yardımsever, cefakar. Kaldığımız 5 gece nasıl geçti anlamadık vip (very important person) hizmeti aldığımızı hissettik :)

Otantik ve turistik ziyaret edilecek yerlere çok yakındı, ulaşılması son derece kolay , toplu taşıma veya özel araç açısından konumu gereği çok rahattı. Kahvaltı son derece lezzetli ve doyurucu idi. Ayrıca otel yetkilileri ve çalışan arkadaşlar güler yüzlü ve çok yardımcı davranıyorlar. Bölgenin ruhunu son derece güzel yansıtan bir konaklama yaşadık.
