8/10 for property, aesthetics, pool and views. 3/10 for customer service, receptionist dark hair older lady was deliberately very rude any time I went to the desk she would begin to speak to me then answer a call in the middle and put her finger up to tell me to wait every time, however, I never witnessed her do this to any other customers.

The pasta chef, very rude, the morning omelette chef rude, banging pans and grumpy, and the crêpe staff all very dismissive, it's like you're asking for a favour just to be served.
However, the welcome hosts to the main buffet were always friendly and smiley as well as the main waiters and the cleaner for our room were very polite and lovely.

It is a shame for the poor quality of the other staff members as the resort itself is beautiful, rooms are spacious and clean, but purely based on the service, I wouldn't feel comfortable to return again.

We arrived quite late at night, and check in was soooo slow. Only 1 staff member and a lot if guest arrived. They insisted on us being dropped off by buggie to the room, which was a nice touch but not needed. They didn't really give us any directions or a map of the hotel.

We had a mezzanine room which was very big, but the decor is very dated. It was lovely to have a bathroom each and plenty of space. The Aircon unit in our room dripped a lot a water onto the floor we did report it twice but it wasn't fixed and we would wake up with a puddle on the floor and a dripping noise. However, room was always restocked and cleaned everyday!

Pools are quite dirty, they have a build up of black/green algae or dirt, couldn't be sure?

Beach is lovely, plenty of beds available throughout the day. Bar service is quick, sometimes they didn't have the ingredients for drinks we wanted, but there was always and alternative.

The casablanca bar in the evening was great, staff were very attentive and really lovely.

We enjoyed the grill and fish restaurant.

The Ni Hao restaurant is aesthetically lovely. But the food is poor quality. The sushi is ok, but not fresh, definitely made off site and the bao bun was just basically a KFC burger. The chicken curry was very very bland and the sechuan beef was tasteless with very overcooked beef. The dessert was also very disappointing, the sorbet was like glue and the apple fritter was hard and like the texture was like chalk. I wouldn't recommen

Basic hotel, nice beach. Swimming pool was nice but the water was sometimes not clear. Food was most of the time good, had good taste but i may have some more variety. People from the hotel made it possible for us to make a reservation in the other restaurant because it was always reserved. They are kind and helpful. We didn’t see much animation.

The food is mediocre. Same stuff everyday. The la carte restaurant are unavailable. We stayed five nights and we’re lucky to get one night at one of three of the La Carte restaurants, which was better than the main buffet restaurant. Note that distance of room to the pools/beach vary. We had a room up the hill, which meant that you will not return to the room more than once a day. The lines for drinks are a bit long, expect an average of 5-10 minutes wait to get your drink.

This is our second visit as a family to Mitsis Norida. It’s just fabulous from the location to the staff to the food and facilities. It’s a gorgeous spot right in the beach. A fully equipped outdoor gym and running routes.

Highly recommend! Had the best price with Expedia too.

Rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment. We complained about our room and were upgraded to a maisonette which was much nicer. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool and beach area are lovely. The pool area gets very busy so you will need to early to secure a spot. That said there was plenty of space on the beach and we found some lovely cabana type beds which were great for a couple. We ate in the restaurant nearest the beach which served breakfast, lunch and dinner and the service was great. Choice and quality of food was really good. Overall we had a really lovely few days away and would recommend the hotel.

We have just got back from Mitsis - on a girls only holiday. We stayed for 4 days and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room upgrade to the mezzanine room was great, spacious and great view (933) , the 3 a la carte restaurants were good and they have accommodated out request to sit by the sea side - staff very attentive. Breakfast and lunch are standard , always something to pick from. Creperie and pizza by the beach was very good. Special thanks to Fotini at the front desk , who sorted us with late check out ! Overall great place

The property is nice and peaceful, it is away from the centre, but their is a bus to take you thier. I think the rooms do need updating and the buffet restaurant to bring it to 5* and also needs to serve branded drinks which i was told they did before i booked so was abit dissappointed in this.
The pool area is lovely.
I also think it needs water machines so you dont need to queue up for it as the queues where sometimes quite long with 1 person serving.

Overall an very underwhelming experience and the hotel is in no way 5 stars. Only a small portion of the hotel looks like the images, the rest of the facilities are extremely dated and not to the same standard.

The nicer pool area (cluster of pools shown in main images) are far too small for the hotel capacity. No chance of getting a lounger in the nice area of the pool without waking up at 5am to reserve one. The loungers are also filthy and all the grass paroles are ripped. The “spill-over” loungers around the main pool and the other non-pictured pool and the beach are the plastic blue hospital gurney style loungers, incredibly uncomfortable and certainly not in line with the style the hotel wants you to think you are getting.

The food is bland, this is across the main buffet and a la carte, very little seasoning, almost no vegetarian options. The images of the main restaurant show the small outdoor area, unless you want to queue for 30 mins the actually space you’ll eat looks like a school canteen from the 90s, the crockery is grotty and certainly not 5 star. The 3 a la carte restaurants are another case of false advertising, they’re are all locations within one space and the menus are very limited.

Overall would avoid but we had a nice holiday but purely due to the company we keep and the few lovely staff members, shout out to Ennie at the beach bar who is lovely.

Super smart hotel owner has a deal with private transportation. So if you need taxi you need to call 2 hours in advance plus! you need to pay the road where thy are coming. We wanted to hang out and wanted to call taxi but this is the answer from reception. Plus they are not offering any transportation from town to hotel. Food ehh not bad :) Cleaning okay.. facilities are old not like in the photos. There was a electrical leakege on the button next to kids pool.. nobody cared about my warning:) FAR FROM EVERYTHING. No entertainment..Staff is so friendly and nice but I hate the mentality of hotel. If you are couple Dont :)

Generally, the hotel was fantastic, clean, good food options, staff were amazing, rooms were lovely…, but, unfortunately there is such an issue with sunbeds that for me, it ruins the whole experience. It didn’t feel like a holiday when you have to get up at 6:30 am to secure a sunbed. We saw 2 fights over sun beds during our weeks stay. For this reason alone, I will not go back, and as this was my first experience at a Mitsis hotel, I probably will purposely avoid all Mitsis hotels as I wouldn’t want to risk being in the same situation again. Very unfortunate.

We visited the hotel with our two children in May. Overall the property and the rooms were nice but I feel the hotel didn't live up to our expectations. Upon check-in, we weren't provided with any general information on where to find things and spent most of the first day just trying to find our bearings. The hotel could do with more staff in the bars, it took nearly 30 minutes just to get a coffee because only 1 person was serving. Sadly we struggled with the food options as vegetarians as there were limited options and things weren't labelled to indicate what was suitable or not. Ended up feeling quite repetitive. I think Norida could do more to be family friendly, even trying to get a glass of milk for my children in the restaurant turned out to be a problem - we were told to go to a bar to get milk as they couldn't provide. The drinks were average and local spirits. I wouldn't recommend coffee in the restaurant, instead get from the coffee bar. The pool with slides is fun for kids, despite the water being cold. The kids club was a nice way to keep the kids entertained as the staff are accommodating and encourage different activities. The mini disco was nice but a bit too late for younger children - one day it started at 9pm. Sadly this hotel wasn't for us, but I can see why it might appeal to couples or those with older children

Beautiful, relaxing environment for a wonderful week in paradise! Pool facilities are lovely and the private beach is very large with plenty of sea side facilities. Everything was very clean, all the communal facilities, toilets and our room! Loved that the hotel provided 2litres of water each day and they were very efficient with any extra requests. Good selection of food, definitely something for everyone at the main dining buffet! Loved the vibe in the evenings at the a la carte restaurants being serenaded by a saxophonist whilst over-looking the Aegean Sea - beautiful!
Occasionally a bit of a wait for a drink at peak times but it was a nice atmosphere and the staff were clearly working as fast as possible.
Would absolutely visit again!

Fantastic staff, location and services. The hotel is located on the south side of Kos, 20min from airport (but you dont hear airplane traffic at all).The rooms are simple but contain all you need.The bed was good. The view from our seaside apt was beautiful.Good bus connections to the nearby town Kardamena.The resort grounds are beautifully landscaped.The all inclusive self-servicecrestaurant had good choice of food. Pancake place yum. The alacarte restaurants have terrace with stunning views but limited slots and need to be prebooked but the reception staff were able to help us out with our requests. There is beautifully landscaped multilevel poolside area and long natural beach. The poolside beds get taken very early so if you are late starter you will need to use the sunbeds on the natural beach. The non alcoholic cocktails in the all inclusive bars need a bit of improvement. If you are early sleeper ask for room away from main poolside as there are live concerts till 10-11pm.The place giving water bikes was overcautious as at limited wind they shut services for safety reasons.
In summary,the location and landscaped areas are fantastic, the views stunning, the food of good choice snd decent quality.The resort staff is among the best I have ever seen, they will go out of their way to make your stay great. There are way more expensive resorts nearby but I doubt you will get better experience.Big thank you to all staff and my partner says hi to Giorgos and Djazia.

A good holiday experience

We enjoyed our hotel as much as we could. The food was good and the all inclusive was fantastic. The children really enjoyed the pools especially the sliding pool. My reason for giving it a 4 star is because the hotel is not really a 5star in my opinion, the toilets in our maisonette had very bad smell when flushed and the toilet seats were brown in colour, my kids complained about not having sausages available, the reception team are not very professional and were not helpful in many things. The hotel deco is not to my taste. The taxi to the town is expensive at €10 for a 10-15mins drive. I enjoyed my yoga and dance class though. The beach is awesome so because of it I will go back but will stay in mitsis blue dome which is more like my style.

What a wonderful stay we have had. We appear to have been upgraded to a sea view room away from the main resort, closer to the sister hotel Summer Palace which was excellent.
The main hotel is a little dated but we found the infinity pool area by our rooms much nicer & quieter.
All inclusive was very good value & you can book the a la Carte restaurants too which is much nicer (fully recommend the fish restaurant)
All in all an excellent stay.

My boyfriend and I booked Mitsis Norida beach on a very last minute deal through expedia, the same day we were due to fly on an alternative holiday through Thomas Cook just as the company went into liquidation.
We were surprised and delighted to find that Norida still had availability and so we booked a 1 week all inclusive holiday without delay and flew out the next day.

Location: Norida beach is within the Mitsis complex just outside the resort of kardamina. We haven't ventured into the local resort,partly because we didnt fancy the look of it from the bus, and partly because we've just genuinely not found the need to stray from our beautiful hotel, but we did spend one day in Kos town. The local bus takes you from directly outside the hotel at 9.30am and returns at 2.30pm -very handy and a worthwhile visit. There is an on-site mini market and a supermarket directly across the road which means that everything is just to hand.

Rooms: rooms are clean and comfortable with comfy beds and excellent air conditioning. The TV channels are mainly in Greek and German but that didnt bother us as we haven't spent a lot of time in the room. Mini bar is handy and stocked every 2 days. Bathroom is lovely - big and clean.

Great hotel for families and a cost effective break. Breakfast and lunch was good if you booked a room that uses the sea front restaurant facilities.

We ate out every night as we found the dinners where a bit basic in the hotel we drove in to Kardamena which was 10 euros in a taxi.

It's not our first time in Kos but this time it was perfect. beautiful hotel with great service and wonderful pools and sweet animation team who worked so hard to make their guess happy: Rio, Shagalaga, Rado, Edi, Savir, Katy... The view is breath taking,Hotel rooms are nicely decorated, and very clean. The staff very polite, friendly and helpful.The dining room was well managed and the food was delicious.. I booked this holiday very last minute and although I read all the reviews on Tripadvisor, it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor areas of the hotel are beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained and the staff could not be more friendly/helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean and our cleaning lady, Galena was lovely, even making sure we were given more water even though this is normally only refilled every two days. The interior of the hotel is a little dated but I was told by another guest who has been visiting for 6 years that refurbishment will be undertaken this winter. I am quite fussy about food quality but I was very pleased with this- most was delicious and there is a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend the Smokey Grill for breakfast and lunch as it’s open air with a sea view. The hotel has a private beach with a beach bar which is lovely late afternoon to chill out in.
If you want to visit the island and don’t drive, there are buses just outside taking you to Kardamaina (10 minutes) or Kos town (1 hour) but if you are happy to just telax and chill by a pool (there are 5) this is the perfect place.

great holiday,staff are so good,restaurants serve great food plenty of choices in the main buffet,and book the Asian and the Greek they are superb.
Picky points,entertainment provided in the evening is lacking,the size of the beach towels,they do not cover half the length of the sunbeds,which would be a bonus if they did ,then you might not mind about the state of the sunbeds at the beach.
Service on the beach was great waiters up and down all day attending with a smile,all in all great relaxing week

We've just got back from a week at Kos. Overall it was good but could be a lot better in some areas.
The hotel was 15 minute drive. Upon arrival at the hotel the cab driver dropped us outside. There was no one really there to greet or tell us where we had to go us so we made our way to reception. The checkin was very quick and straight to the point no fluffiness and quite cold. We had to give cash for beach towels 20 euros each and there is no cash machine in the resort. If we needed cash we would need to go to town. There was 4 of us so that 80 euros gone. We also had to pay for safe key and wifi.
The room was clean but fairly small. The rooms are cleaned each day and towels are changed daily too. Shower was thankfully very nice as was bathroom.
There were two main swimming pools but you have to get up early (7/8am to reserve your bed)
There is no way enough pools for the number of people staying in the hotel and the strangest thing was both pools were salt water which is awful if it goes in mouth.
The main pool was too deep hence most people were around the small pool.
There were regular pool activities some staff were very good and really got people to join in however I did watch one girl with long blonde hair take the pool volley game and she had no enthusiasm at all - she half heartedly took score and when game ended made a face whilst talking to some Brits.

Relaxing stay with great food

Had a relaxing week at end of June. Food exceeded our expectations, buffet really good and the two bookable restaurants wonderful. Was very busy and hard to get a sun lounger after 11am. Room we had was spotless, sea view and quiet. Tennis, water slides, pedallos and exercise classes all included. Aquafit in the sea lovely. Hotel looked great for kids.

You pay for what you get!

The Norida beach is a good AI tourist class 4* hotel.

The choice of 2 swimpools is good, especially the lower pool being closer to the beach thats slightly more modern, shallower for children and has a really nice bar adjacent to it. All pools are saltwater thats piped in from the sea.

Generally all staff seem to work hard and are helpful, bearing in mind its a thankless task supplying AI drinks/beach pizza etc... to a large number of customers! Found that a few pleases and thank you's eases the way.

Main restaurant has a huge choice, but little variation, so if staying more than a week you might get buffet 'fatigue'. Its good tourist class fare, but don't think steaks, prawns etc...

Beach is fine shingle, not sand and sea gets deep quite quickly. Free pedalos & kayaks, motorsports availble to pay.

Full multinational hotel, when we were there the largest contingents were Russian, German, French, Polish, Lithuanian, Italian, British + others.

Mini bar in room is only filled every other day with 2 bottles pepsi, beer & water. No iron in room, you have to request/hire from reception & they charge for key to use safe deposit box.

If you want something more upmarket, the Blue Domes run by the same chain is next door.

Il Mitsis Norida è una struttura meravigliosa. Il personale è molto gentile e professionale con all inclusive VERO!!! La spiaggia e il mare sono molto belli. Unica pecca(che non dipende ovviamente dalla struttura) è che il mare è subito profondo. Complimenti, davvero tutto molto bello e ben organizzato.

obwohl ich 40 tage im voraus das hotel informiert habe, dass ich mit einem rollstuhl komme, war das zimmer nicht bereit. erst beim 3. mal zimmerwechsel klappte dann der wechsel.
auch der obere stock beim maisonette zimmer war gefühlt 50 grad, da die klimaanlage den oberen stock nicht kühlt.

Wir waren als Familie (2 Kinder) untergebracht! Bekamen gleich beim Check In ein Upgrade auf ein Familien Bungalow mit Meerblick! (2 separate Zimmer) mit einem Empfangsgeschenk! Darüber waren wir sehr erfreut!
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und erfüllten jeden Wunsch.
Der Strand war top! Immer genügend Liegen verfügbar und immer sauber!
Strandbar sowie Verpflegung durch frische Pizza aus dem Steinofen Tagsüber direkt am Strand waren hervorragend für unseren Aufenthalt, besonders mit den Kids!

Essen in den Restaurants war ebenfalls sehr gut! Immer frisch und immer genügend Auswahl!

Auch das Restaurant am Strand (inklusive aber auf extra Reservierung) war super cool eingerichtet und das A la Carte Menu war shr schmackhaft! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Alles in allem war das Hotel perfekt für uns!

Ein sauberes und sehr gutes Hotel was etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist aber mit einem zuvorkommenden, erfahrenen und eingespielten Personal. So gut wie alle wünschen werden anstandslos erfüllt. Vielfältiges gastronomisches Angebot welches frisch und bekömmlich ist. Die Pools sind sauber und übersichtlich angeordnet. Die Liegen am Strand sind Top da mit großen Polsterauflagen versehen sind. Das Hotel ist per Taxi in 20 Minuten sehr gut erreichbar.

Wir waren eine Woche mit Kind in diesem angeblichen 5-Sterne-Hotel und sehr enttäuscht. Die Rezeption war unterbesetzt, der Mitarbeiter machte Fehler, sodass wir mehrfach Dokumente und Kreditkarte erneut vorlegen mussten. Infos zum Hotel gab es keine, manches wurde schlicht vergessen. Das Zimmer war nicht sauber: Ameisen im Bett, fremde Haare in Hand- und Duschtüchern, spärliche Einrichtung, keine Dental- oder Maniküresets. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte, war aber laut. Besonders störend: Aus dem Hahn kam kein kaltes Wasser - angeblich Legionellen-Prävention.

Das Essen war in allen Restaurants gleich und qualitativ schwach. Statt Qualität setzt das Hotel auf Masse und Verknappung, etwa in der Strandpizzeria mit wenigen Pizzen. Getränke im Hauptrestaurant dauerten ewig, da die Kellner überfordert waren. Cocktails viel zu süß, Wein schlecht - nur das Bier war in Ordnung.

Poolliegen waren meist reserviert, am Strand morgens immerhin Platz. Die Lage ist unpraktisch - weit von Kos-Stadt entfernt, Taxis teuer, der Hoteltransfer mit 82 € für 12 km völlig überzogen. Die Anlage ist nicht barrierefrei, mit Kinderwagen oder Gepäck sehr mühsam. Zudem wirkt das Hotel austauschbar, stark italienisch geprägt, nichts typisch griechisch. Nachhaltigkeit Fehlanzeige: ineffiziente Klimaanlagen, große Lebensmittelverschwendung durch das Buffetkonzept.

Fazit: Kein 5-Sterne-Standard, höchstens 3 Sterne. Preis-Leistung miserabel, wir kommen nicht wieder und können das Hotel nicht empfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt ziemlich fern ab, nichts in der Nähe. Die Anlage ist schön und auch der Strand ist schön, das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider jedoch hat das Hotel ein Thema mit der Sauberkeit. In einem Teil des Hotels gibt es zudem ein Problem mit Kakerlaken. Wir hatte zwei im Zimmer, wir durften dann das Zimmer wechseln und hatten dann kein Thema mehr, allerdings nur weil wir dann in einem anderen Teil des Hotels untergebracht waren. Zudem sind auch die Pools nicht ganz sauber..

Die Lage & das freundliche Personal & die Liegen & Schirm am Strand haben uns sehr gut gefallen, auch das sehr gute Essen in den a la Carte Restaurants, weniger schön fanden wir es im Hauptrestaurant, war doch im Gegensatz zum Strand Restaurant laut und hektisch, aber im Aussenbereich war es ok, haben auch immer einen Platz draußen bekommen. Abends war die Musik oft zu laut.
Gerne wieder beim nächsten Mal!

Schade war, dass nur 1x am Tag ein bus nach Kos Stadt durchgefahren ist vom Hotel aus und das Personal an der Rezeption einem als Transportmittel zum Flughafen nur den teuren hoteleigenen Shuttleservice angeboten hat und auf die Nachfrage nach einem Taxi nicht reagiert hat.
Alles in Allem war es dennoch ein super schöner Urlaub mit sehr leckerem Essen und hilfsbereitem und netten Personal.
Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Die Poolanlage ist super schön angelegt.
Unser Highlight waren die Spezialitätenrestaurants, die hoteleigene Creperie, der Pizzaofen am Strand und die Bars in der Hotelanlage verteilt 😊
