Great service, food and location

If you like a quieter location, less crowed hotel with great service, this is the place to come.

My family stayed in a suite which holds 4 guests. The room was spacious, and although not full of features, it suited us perfectly.

We stayed half board and food quantity was not lots, like some hotels, but for sure made up for in quality. Excellent food both for breakfast and dinner.

Last but not least, staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay that much more special.

Overall a great stay and will for sure come back.

We booked Kalimera Mara for an overnight before flying out the next morning so didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful property. We could see the pool and it looks great. The staff was amazing and got us a cab to go out at 4 AM. Everything worked great and they even gave us food so that we could eat on our way to the airport, since we missed the breakfast, they were amazing.

It was a fabulous little hotel, large clean safe rooms and with wonderful staff. We used the pool next door with a fabulous pool bar and next to the beach. The bus stops straight outside which takes you into the centre but otherwise there is nothing else around within walking distance. We would jump on the bus into the centre mid evening and a taxi home for e10 and then a couple of drinks in the hotel bar. We had a wonderful week.

Great family run hotel

Great family run hotel. Cosmos the receptionist was so helpful and informative.
The hotel is situated outside a small tourist town and it is a long pleasant walk(40minutes) to get there or a 3.50€ Bus ride which stops in town or outside the hotel. (Taxi 9€) clean rooms, nice size rooms good air con(€4 extra a day). Good breakfast (was shocked to see a young Russian couple take 5 pastries each!).
Pools are a good size. Pool bar great too we had a great laugh with Marios .
They have sunbeds at the seaside (€2.50 for two beds, umbrella and two free drink)
WiFi good in our room but it was close to reception and unfortunately close to the breakfast which woke us up at 6 am each morning.

Can’t rate this hotel highly enough. The rooms are really spacious, immaculate and comfortable. Towels changed every day. The pool area is beautiful and peaceful. Food is plentiful and delicious and you have a choice between 3 main dishes which are all made fresh for you. The buffet to go with this is great. The front of house staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. Valerie, Dora, Kosmas, Pharo, Antonio, Demetrie and Makis are such an asset to the hotel. If you want a chill out holiday then this is for you.

Nice hotel with very nice staff.

The hotel itself and the staff were great. The main issue we had was the placement of the hotel on the island, especially if you're not full board, as there are very few (well, one) restaurants nearby. Also due to the roads and mountains its really further from Kos town than you would think. Even Kardemena is a 45 min walk, or bus or taxi ride, and it has many restaurants but its a bit run down and tacky compared to Kos town or other areas.
On the plus side, this hotel has excellent pools and staff. If you're full board or have your own car then this hotel might be perfect for you. One more thing: the beach here is rough sand.....go to Kephalos area beaches like Bubble beach, to get really proper beaches. (there are buses that can take you there). And please go see the Asklepion and Kos town Roman villa if you have any interest in history at all. And Nysiros island for the volcano!

Kalimera Mare - We felt like part of the FAMILY!

From the moment we arrived at Kalimera Mare Hotel, it was like we were one of the family. The staff were excellent and made sure all of our needs were met.
We noticed how immaculate the place looked and couldn't wait to start our holiday.
I don't think I've ever been anywhere where the staff were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and really wanted our holiday to be the best.
The breakfast - simply beautiful and fresh, lots of choice ... bar snacks and the bar, fabulous.
Swimming pool was lovely and spotlessly clean.

We WILL definitely be back, so easy to get to from the airport and the perfect place to stay in Kos.

Nice and quiet hotel close to the beach

The hotel is situated a bit far from the town but there is a bus several times a day. Buffet breakfast, a lot of fruits to choose from. absolutely fantastic. Rooms where in good condition and really clean. staff spoke many languages. Very friendly and helpful all the time. you pay for the sunbeds but you get a drink in that price. So you actually pay for the drink. did not eat dinners in the hotel so can't say. But it was cheaper to eat in the town. There is a gym as well but the equipment is not in top condition. Probably it's not used that much.
overall it's really nice hotel and i would recommend it to my friends.

Friendly, family run hotel 3km from centre of town

Single traveller. Very pleased with the welcome received. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room cleaned daily and left immaculate. I hired a bicycle to get into Kardemena. It would be useful to hire a car or moped to explore the island. An excellent base for this. The local bus stops right outside the hotel and it is very easy to get around by bus. The food was excellent...I ate in the restaurant every evening of my stay. Buffet style with plenty of choice. I would definitely return there. It was very windy for most of the week. Apparently this is fairly common for this part of the island. A fabulous holiday.

Very Friendly and helpful crew

Me and my girl friend stayed there for three nights, The first night in a garden view room and the other two nights in a see view room. Rooms were spacious and come with a Terrace or balcony. The receptionists welcome us with a glass of orange juice. I also had to leave very early and they provided us with early breakfast which is really rare, I've never seen such a friendly and caring crews. I definitely, stay there but this time for leisure, The hotel location is good and not far from airport, Taxi costs 20 euro but I prefer to rent a car to have more fun. The only negative point was that for the last two nights we didn't have hot water. I reported the problem but still had two cold showers. I cann't say that it is the best hotel you can get but according to the price you pay, it is totally worth it.

Hotel a conduzione familiare, situato in una zona molto comoda perché equidistante da tutti i principali punti di interesse dell'isola, e a 7 minuti dal porto di Kardamena e dalla vivace cittadina omonima. Camere semplici, ma confortevoli e pulite, servizi disponibili e gratuiti quali palestra e piscina esterna, personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Forse, unica piccola pecca, la spiaggia di fronte all'hotel non particolarmente comoda (spiaggia di sassi con bagnasciuga piuttosto piccolo, seppur allestita con pochi ombrelloni e lettini) per chi volesse soggiornare in maniera stanziale senza muoversi.

Il personale è di una gentilezza estrema, senza eccezioni; si sono presi cura di noi anche ben oltre a ciò che era previsto.
L'albergo è in una posizione centrale nell'isola di Kos, così da permettere visite in breve tempo sia alle spiagge in zona Kos città (a est dell'isola), che nel lato ovest dell'isola. Spiaggia davanti all'hotel molto bella per nuotare. Zona in generale molto rilassante.

Bella struttura, elegante con piscina situata in zona silenziosa e tranquilla ideale per riposarsi ma allo stesso tempo vicina a Kardamena.

Il personale ci ha accolto molto bene, sono molto simpatici e lavorano con passione.

Camera provviste di tutto il necessario, pulizia giornaliera della stanza e ricambio asciugamani, davvero ottimo.

Colazione e cene varie e di qualità.

Abbiamo passato due settimane perfette sotto ogni punto di vista, dalla pulizia della struttura, cortesia ed allegria del personale, dal cibo super vario e buonissimo colazione e cena, alla tranquillità della spiaggia di fronte all'hotel! Ideale per chi vuole passare una vacanza all'insegna del relax totale.. mare meraviglioso e a 4km a piedi dal centro di Kardamaina!

Mi meraviglio che Expedia possa dare Fantastico una cosa desolante il peggiore viaggio mai fatto Expedia sempre perfetto ma stavolta ha clamorosamente tappato..tutto caro bevande cibo scadente trasporti sembrava essere in una landa desolata oltre tutto lontano oltre 3 km la spiaggia solo macigni per entrare in acqua il titolare scostante in più zanzare è pieno di scarafaggi.una cosa vergognosa Mai più !!!!!!

L’albergo ha una conduzione famigliare (o almeno così sembra), il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile.
La struttura è in una zona poco popolata e molto tranquilla, a 3 km da Kefalos, raggiungibile o con il pullman o a piedi.
La spiaggia vicina non è grandissima, il mare è bello ma per entrare ci sono dei sassi un po’ scivolosi, ma con delle passerelle che aiutano il passaggio.
Comunque con 5€ si acquistano due lettini e un ombrellone, con due bibite in omaggio (servizio offerto dalla struttura).
Noleggiando l’auto si possono visitare tutte le altre bellissime spiagge.

Se cercare un ambiente tranquillo immerso nel silenzio, questo è il posto per voi e per le vostre famiglie.

Pulizia impeccabile, bella piscina nel giardino, ottima la cucina con menù variegato e di qualità. E’ assolutamente conveniente la mezza pensione. 1) Отель небольшой на окраине, присутствует греческий колорит. Доброжелательные администраторы всегда стараются решить возникающие проблемы. Жили в номерном корпусе. Есть еще домики.
2) Еда очень вкусная, брали полупансион. Напитки платные. С утра вывешивается меню на день и необходимо выбрать 1 из 3 главных на ужин. Остальное шведский стол. Фото меню и основных блюд приложены к отзыву.
3) По выходным проводятся вечера греческой кухни (основное блюдо это разные виды мяса, все шведский стол) с приглашенными танцорами. Приезжают даже с других отелей. Гостей также завлекают танцевать.
4) До пляжа 50-100 метров. Пляж небольшой, лежаки посетителям отеля при покупке напитков бесплатно. Вход в воду обустроен мешками песка, но пляж оставляет желать лучшего: маленький и вход каменистый, желательно купаться в шлепках. Также в отеле можно взять ласты и маску. Вода чистая.
5) Оптимальный отель для путешественников с транспортом. Искупаться, позавтракать и поехать по острову. Вечером на ужин вернуться. Транспорт брали в аэропорту, поскольку такси до любого отеля соизмеримо с ценой аренды авто за 1 день.
6) Чисто. Нормальный вай-фай.
7) Долго выбирали отель, выбором полностью довольны. С удовольствием вернемся сюда еще раз.

L’albergo non presenta i requisiti minimi per essere classificato “quattro stelle”. L’arredamento della camera è modesto; il bagno piccolo e con servizi a dir poco obsoleti. Frigo bar vuoto e non funzionante. Abbiamo dovuto pagare un supplemento per poter attivare il condizionatore (in una caldissima giornata di luglio). Da sconsigliare

Tipico albergo greco ben gestito

Mi sono trovato benissimo, il personale è molto gentile, direi gentilissimo. La pulizia della camera eccellente: cambio asciugamani e lenzuola tutti i giorni.
La cucina molto gradevole e la colazione può soddisfare ogni capriccio.
La posizione però è periferica rispetto al centro di Kardamena, ma si risolve noleggiando mezzi a motore a prezzi accessibili.

Wunderschönes Familienhotel

Ein wunderschönes kleines Familienhotel abseits vom Trubel.Supernettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr saubere Zimmer mit genügend Stauraum. Authentischer Griechischer Abend , wobei die Gäste eingeladen sind mitzumachen. Sehr gutes Essen als Buffet, den Hauptgang sucht man sich aus 3 Vorschlägen am Vortag aus. Ein Mietwagen ist zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank an das ganze Hotelteam für die wunderschönen Urlaubstage. Man fühlt sich als Familienmitglied und nicht als Gast. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A parte l'arrivo che la prenotazione ricevuto da HOTELS.COM era solo per il soggiorno e non la colazione (è la seconda volta che succede con Hotels.com....come mai?)..cmq avendo la MIA ricevuta di prenotazione tutto si è messo a posto. Personale, location e cibo tutto ok...solo qualche problema con il WI-FI in camera che ha preso 2gg su 7...per il resto tutto molto bene ma HOTELS.COM deve migliorare!!!

Ho trascorso con la mia famiglia 2 adulti e mia figlia di 8 anni in questo hote le prime due settimane di luglio.
L'hotel è molto carino struttura a gestione famigliare con personale gentilissimo e ristorante con una cucina scuisita oltre le mie aspettative.

Hotel adatto a famiglie con bambini piccoli

Buono e vario il menu, coinvolgente la serata con spettacolo greco. Ho apprezzato la pulizia di tutti i locali e la gentilezza del personale pronto a soddisfare richieste (con noi c'erano tre bambini molto piccoli). L'hotel si trova al sud dell'isola in zona isolata, a 100 metri da un mare sassoso ma trasparente, è dotato di due piscine. Per raggiungere le spiagge migliori abbiamo noleggiato un'auto,è però molto frequente e utile il servizio autobus. Il mio è un giudizio positivo.

hotel, personale e cibo al di sopra degli standard.
da questo hotel è possibile raggiungere qualsiasi punto dell'isola, trovandosi appunto proprio in mezzo all'isola.
grazie alla disponibilità del personale sono stata accontentata sotto molti aspetti di vista.
se proprio vogliamo trovare i pelo nell'uovo, sull'isola c'è parecchio vento, cosa a cui si può rimediare con una bandana (come ho fatto io)

A pochi passi dal mare con bellissimo giardino

L'hotel è curato, immerso nel verde, dotato di molti confort. Colazione e cena abbondanti, sempre varie e di buona qualità.
Il personale è gentile e professionale.
A disposizione una piscina; a pochi passi un'altra piscina con annesso bar, dove consumare un pasto veloce, preparato al momento ed economico. Ottima la birra fresca!
Lo consiglierei senz'altro: lontano dal caos, ma è meglio avere un'auto per muoversi e raggiungere Kardamena, a 3 km ca.
Carina la serata tipica greca: cibo abbondante e sirtaki.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt. Es gibt 2 Pools eine Snackbar und das Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Meer. Direkt vor dem Hotel ist eine Bushaltestelle, der Bus bringt dich direkt ins Zentrum von Kardamena. Dort kann man auch gut feiern gehn. Taxi kostet 9€ ins Zentrum. Im Hotel kann man toll relaxen viele Paare oder Familien waren dort. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag geputzt und das gesamte Personal ist sehr nett. Am Samstag ist griechischer Abend im Hotel, sehr zu empfehlen. Auch Frühstücksbuffet ist gut, man bekommt alles was man braucht.

Schlichtes und sauberes Hotel in Strandnähe

Der Aufenthalt im Kalimera Mare war entspannend und vorzüglich. Die schlichte Ausstattung empfanden wir als befreiend und schön. Es fehlte uns in keinem Moment an irgendetwas und wenn doch, war das gesamte Team bemüht unsere wünsche zu erfüllen.
Wir waren mit einem Kleinkind von 6 Monate da und das war kein Problem. Es war immer ruhig in der Nacht und angenehm am Tag.

Im gross und ganzen ist das Hotel Kalimera Mare für Einzelpersonen, Paare und Familien bestens geeignet. Die Küche überraschte uns immer wieder mit kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten. Wer wert legt auf frendliches Personal, saubere location und schlichten komfort ist hier genau richtig.

Einzige Nachteile:
-Kardamena ist nicht so gross und schön. Wer Shoppen möchte muss nach Kos oder Zia fahren.
-Im Kardamena kann man das Leitungswasser nicht Trinken. Allen anderen Orten auf der Insel schon.

Struttura ben gestita, sobria ed essenziale ma pulita e confortevole;
camera spartana ma spaziosa, bagno non grande con vasca, no bidet, pulizia ottima;
ristorante con colazione a buffet e possibilità di cena, degna di nota la buona qualità della cucina con cura nel variare la proposta giornaliera; cena tradizionale greca settimanale che vale la pena fare per la qualità del cibo e l'allegra atmosfera familiare;
piscina con giardino ben tenuto, palestra e spiaggia di mare bello a pochi metri;
nota di merito al personale di servizio, estremamente cordiale ed attento, tutti si impegnano per rendere piacevole il soggiorno;
posizione hotel su costa sud dove il mare è più bello perchè calmo anche se tira vento

mix di natura e mare incantevole

ho soggiornato 9 giorni in questo hotel con la mia migliore amica, esperienza ottima, l'unica pecca è stato il caldo della camera,obbligate a prendere l'aria condizionata, per il resto ci siamo trovate benissimo!!!

Vacanza in totale relax

Soggiorno di una settimana a fine luglio: hotel a pochi passi dal mare, con spiaggia privata ( con un piccolo contributo) e piscina. Camere spaziose e pulitissime, personale molto cortese e disponibile. Relax totale. La città di Kardamena si trova a circa 3 km, con supermercato, locali notturni, taverne tipiche e porto con partenza dei traghetti per le isole vicine.
Nel complesso ottimo soggiorno, consigliatissimo!

Tranquillo e gradevole

Albergo che vale il prezzo richiesto, personale molto premuroso e ottima cura sia delle camere che del giardino. A pochi metri dal mare con spiaggia privata dotata di lettini e ombrelloni. Dista 2 km da Kardamena e ideale per visitare l'isola, previo neleggio di un'auto o scooter. Davanti all'hotel c'è pure la fermata del bus.
