The place was nice and the pool was great to have for the kids. We didn't get to experience any of the spa services b/c we didn't realize the time zone difference driving from Portugal. The location is pretty far from the city center, but it does have it's own beach access which is nice. But for someone looking for a quick stay in the city before going to the Cies Islands, there might be better options than this one.

This is a beautiful property with excellent staff and
m magnificent views of the Vigo Estuary. This is a peaceful location, out of the hustle and bustle, but very convenient to Vigo and is a good base for Bodegas tours and other tourist locations. The value is very good.

The hotel and gardens are stunning. There is access to a small beach outside of the resort. The pool area is nice and quiet and serviced by a small bar. The Spa is nice and has indoor therapy pools, but this an additional €25 for one hour even when you are a resident of the hotel. We did book a massage which was very good

The room was impecable, very comfortable- the view to the rias was amazing! Very relaxing ! Italian restaurant was delicious ! I also tried the spa had a massage and a facial, Marián and Sandra were incredible- great Spa ! Service was very good - I didn’t want to leave ! Bfst also very good. I will recommend and definitely come back

Great hotel!!, is very close to the beach, although is a bit far from the city. If you don't have your own car, the best way to go to the city is by taxi, public transport access from there is not easily accesible.

This was our first day arriving in Spain late evening for a tour by car. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a lovely location overlooking the sea. The room was large with two double beds and with a fantastically large terrace overlooking the bay. We had an enjoyable dinner. The staff were very helpful.
The facilities were top rate. The bathroom had bath and separate shower with plentiful toiletries.
There is a pool and spa here which we didn't have time to enjoy, but of the seven hotels we staying in whilst touring northern Spain, including two luxurious Paradores, this was the hotel that most impressed me and the price was very affordable. I would love to return.

Great hotel, probably even better in summer

Lovely stay, made us think about coming back here in the summer. Great parking and we had a superb room, thank you for that, the garden and the beach nearby are also fantastic. 10 minute walk to where the bars and restaurants are.
We would only stay here if ever in the area.

It was wonderful!! It’s best to make Spa appointments in advance because we waited to the day of and they were full.
It was a place I wish I could have stayed longer than just one night!

Pazos Los Escudos is an excellent place to stay in Vigo. Beautiful sites of the bay, excellent location very close to restaurants. Excellent access to walkways bordering the shoreline. Amazing Breakfast. Highly recommended!!!

Room was clean enough but when we lifted the sheets there were hairs and what looked like dried snot between the clean sheets and the mattress, which, was gross. The rest of the room looked clean. There was really loud music coming from a close by bar across the street and also the reservations for dinner were challenging to make and ultimately incorrectly reserved under a name that sounded similar to ours and had to verify with 5 different staff members before seating us....there were only three other couples in the entire restaurant and we awkwardly stood there for nearly 10 minutes. No additional people came.

Otbthe beat choice

The bed and pillows are terrible I'm still suffering from neck and lower back pain. The staff were good and helpful and privided a late check out till 2 pm free of charge. Room view was nice but limited. Location is verry far from the city and isolated, i do not recommend staying here due to the location mainly and bed

Beautiful hotel. Very spacious room. Breakfast was good but not five star, choice wasn’t great. Spa and gym at extra cost so didn’t feel like a spa resort. Staff were very attentive and friendly particularly Silvia at breakfast service.

Beautiful hotel, modern facilites surrounded by stone walls, separated from ocean by an extensive green area with gardens and fountains, walking trails along the beaches. Rooms are spotless and good size. Balcony makes a big difference, specially overlooking the ocean. I would recommend this hotel with no dobut.

The hotel, the room and the ground are fabulous. The only thing we didn’t like was lack of restaurants within walking distance. We ended up having dinner at the hotel. The food was just so-so. But the breakfast was excellent!

Lovely hotel, fantastic view over the river estuary and close by to what is a beautiful Vigo City - so much to see and do. Staff very attentive and helpful and tried hard to get out to the Cie Islands sadly without success but not for the want of trying. Only criticism is couldn't get just a coffee in the morning without signing up for a full breakfast (minor point though!!).
Would recommend to anyone including families

Beautiful hotel in a quiet spot near to beach area

Beautiful spacious bedroom and bathroom (we went for the family room although a couple). Well worth its 5 star rating.
The lovely sandy beaches are just about 5 to 15 minutes walk away (depending on which beach you go to). There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and also by the long beach area. The centre of Vigo is a 5 minute taxi ride away. Good breakfast too.
Our only one minor complaint was the television - all channels apart from the BBC News Channel were all in Spanish. There was no facility to watch and pay for movies. After a hard days sightseeing you sometimes just want to chill out.

The hotel is in a very good condition. The staff is very helpful and well enough english speaking, good and friendly service.
The only thing you do not have here is many places for food nearby. Also, I personally would appreciate a cettle in the room, at least for this prices class.

Terrific spot in Vigo

Beautiful hotel on the water in Vigo. The room was very comfortable with high quality linens and a great balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff was friendly and made terrific recommendations on places to eat and see. There was a great wine bar/tapas place a short walk away. An easy cab ride to the center of town.

Beautiful hotel

We booked a superior room for just one night in the winter. The room was excellent, with its own balcony overlooking the gardens and small white sand beach below. What a tranquil and beautiful location! The room was spacious and well appointed, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom wonderful, and included a very large bath and separate WC.

The staff were friendly and helpful although because of the season, they seemed to be stretched a little so there were a couple of delays here and there.

The hotel is split over 2 buildings, with the restaurant in the other building. Breakfast was OK but not worthy of the €19 price tag - €10 would have been more appropriate. Our biggest disappointment was the fact that the bar in our building, which we had understood to offer tapas and bar meals, was closed for the winter, so we had to walk 20 minutes down to the nearby village to find a tapas restaurant for lunch.

As previous reviewers have said, the mini bar was stocked only with water and coke - this was free, which was nice, but it might have been better to have a bit more variety in there - especially as the bar was closed.
