This was a great stay. A little warm for an American in the summer, but there is some law. Overall, the check in process was weird and breakfast was overpriced.

Good room and location. I rated 4 stars, because everything was online and remote. So no one in person to talk to or help. I prefer humans over technology.

If you like self check-in it’s ok. If you arrive early and need to leave your bags there’s no instructions (or not easy to find) and mostly no one to ask. They’re not allowed to have aircon (legally) but you can’t get a fan either and I was there in the middle of a heat wave. I had to sleep under a wet towel. But it’s super-clean and has good cable tv and an honesty bar for drinks. No fridge though and breakfast is on the expensive side (if you convert into AUD anyway). Excellent location in this lovely small country.

The hotel was impeccably clean and I slept like I hadn't slept in weeks. I did not have the breakfast, but it's apparently legendary. My only issue was with the self-check-in. The person in the check-in area simply repeated that I self-check in through the computer in the check-in area. I didn't book directly with the hotel so my reservation number did not work. I asked for help and I simply received the repeated reply of \"self-check on the computer.\" Had this person clicked even one button for me, I would have been able to take it from there. As it was, it took me nearly 20 minutes of trying and failing, asking for help, looking for alternative means of checking in, etc. Eventually, I was able to check in through trial and error and everything was fine after that. But after a long day of traveling, this experience was incredibly frustrating and the staff member was seemingly quite averse to even getting me started in the right direction. Again, everything else about the hotel was absolutely fabulous.

The hotel is easy to find , right off the traffic circle . Right by the bus stop (we came in by train) . Not a hard walk up to the place (on the hill ,but you don't see much when you make it to the front door) . We had no breakfast but there's a COOP grocery across the street . The room had 3 pizza boxes in the room from the last guess .The biggest problem with this hotel is that there is no staff . There is a computer at the front door to put in your details . You're supposed to take a key card and encode it . Surprise ,the key wouldn't work . we tried 3 time ,dead . Finally got one to work . How much are you saving not to have someone there to help your guesses . The room was hot too ,no air.
if you want an adventure ,stop there . Really it wouldn't be that bad if they just had someone there from 11 to 7

I had an absolutely terrible time staying here.

1. We were unable to get into the room until 3:30 despite being advertised online as “latest 2:00”
2. There was zero communication as to why the check in was delayed
3. The window in the room was part of a public balcony linked to the lobby, letting people look in unless you have the curtains shut at all times
4. Couldn’t open the window unless you wanted peoples second hand smoke coming into your room
5. Tried to change rooms and was told that it would cost an extra 40chf despite the same room being advertised cheaper than the one that we had booked
6. The shower was broken, it would only spray at the wall

It’s a shame as the hotel is in an amazing location but the staff and facilities are shockingly bad 100% not worth the money being charged.

There is absolutely NO airflow in the rooms. They are designed to keep you warm, not cool. The still air was about 77F and unfortunately I am one of those travelers who needs either cool OR moving air (ie a fan blowing) otherwise I get very nauseous at night. I ended up getting sick and am still paying the price 3 days later as my vocal cords have not yet healed (no I was not drunk, this is a thing for some people when the body can’t expel heat).

It is a great place for you if you do not mind still air, because the rest of the experience was exactly what we paid for.

It was odd to be in a hotel with almost no employees, but we figured it out. Our last night there was a very loud party at the bar just under our window. It ended at 12:00, but it still gave us a bad night's sleep.

Self check in was fine, however there was only a phone number to contact, never saw any staff in the hotel except for one when walking past at breakfast. Stayed Saturday & Sunday night, and hardly slept both nights. Saturday, a restaurant next door had music playing until midnight which was fine, what was not expected was to then hear music afterwards from a DJ(?) which sounded like it was coming from below the hotel.

The check process is a bit cumbersome. It is totally electronic with no human intervention. When you start the process of the kiosk, make sure you have your passport and hotel reservation number available. The room was clean and a good size. The breakfast was very well done with quite a large selection.

As a traveler I missed having staff/locals to talk to and ask questions. Then hotel seems to want to keep costs to a minimum or to reduce waste, which I appreciate; however, not providing some amenities but charging for them seems cheap. I thought the property was very over priced. We stayed in much nicer hotels in this price range on this trip.

There are no people it is all automated, so no one to help with extra towerls, pillows etc. We booked balcony rooms but the autotron fave us wrong rooms and no live person available to correct. This is a great property and the parking was free and easily accessible. There are pros and cons to the self check in. It’s simple but loses some of the personal touch. It was nice to be able to go make a cup of tea in the evening and there’s an honesty bar if you’re interested. Everything was clean and comfortable and very conveniently located.

This property is in a convenient location within walking distance of the main sites. It was quiet during the day, but quite loud at night. There was a group of people just standing right outside and yelling at each other for quite a while. Then around 12:30am, it sounded like a race track outside with a car zooming around right outside of the hotel. I recommend to bring ear plugs. It was extremely warm and uncomfortable in the room. Much warmer than outside. There was no A/C. It was still 78 degrees in the room at 1 am. While only 53 degrees outside. With both windows open, it was still too warm to sleep especially with all the outside noise. Turned the thermostat to 62 degrees, but nothing happened. As written in other posts, there is no reception desk, no one to ask for help, and it was quite difficult to check-in. On a positive note, there were warm drinks and fruit available all day/night.

The hotel is in a great location right on the main pedestrianised street. I arrived early and the cleaning lady showed me where I could store my luggage in a locker. However, when I returned later to check-in, I wasn’t able to access that area without a key card. I had my information with me to complete the self check-in but I wondered if other people get caught out by this.

The self check-in and out is very efficient. My room was extremely comfortable. It had a glass door which could open out to a small shared outdoor balcony area. You could also open this to let some air in.

Breakfast was available in a bright and airy room and there was a great selection of items.

There is a honesty bar available in that room also where you could get water and drinks 24 hours a day and you left money in the coin box. The coffee machine and tea making facilities were available 24 hours a day.

I did use the sauna in the Wellness Room and it was a lovely treat. A very good selection of herbal tea was available in that area also.

I definitely recommend this hotel if you visit Vaduz. Parking is available and the bus stop is a 3 minute walk away. You won’t get a better location to visit the museums, local restaurants and the hiking area. I really enjoyed my stay here and think it’s good value for money.

The room is nice. However, check in really dampened my view of this hotel. Not only did we have to pay on arrival when we though we had pre payed so did not have the correct payment card on us, but they messed up our room booking. We got given key cards and the receipt to the wrong room, opened the room to people already inside. We then had to call the company on the other guests phone as there was no staff at the hotel and we can't make calls without big fees on our phones being abroad. We had to speak to two different people on the phone to get things sorted. This was not ideal especially after having hiked for 9 hours through the rain and just wanting to sit down.

My wife and I spent 1 night in Liechtenstein and stayed at the Hotel Vaduzerhof. It's located right in the middle of town and could not be more convenient--minutes walking from Vaduz's main sights. It was 12 min walking from the Flixbus dropoff location and a 5 min bus ride from Sevelin train station.

Our room was fantastic--modern, clean, nicely furnished, with plenty of space for our belongings, well-located and designed outlets, a beautiful bathroom with one of the best showers we've ever tried, and a great view of the Städtle commercial promenade. Note: there was no proper air conditioning apparently due to laws in Liechtenstein, but the room did have a heat pump system to keep the room cool and relatively comfortable. It was around 91°F / 33°C on the day we arrived, and the system was cool enough for me but not quite cold enough for my wife.

Amenities-wise, the hotel had a pretty good free Swiss breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, and tomatoes and cucumbers, plus juice, coffee, some fruit, and pastries. We also appreciated the storage lockers located on the lower floor in the back that we used to store our stuff after checking out and before we left the city.

Lastly, we did not have any issues with the electronic check in process, but I can see how it COULD be a problem. There is no staff member present to help with anything. We had 4 questions that didn't translate to English, but I put in a placeholder and got our keys. Worked for us but could trouble some.

The self check-in experience was poor. Long delay watching the computer spinning. Then, when I finally was able to pay, no room key card was issued. I had to activate my phone but was repeatedly dropped. Finally, some staff showed up. Apparently the card issuing machine was jammed. It literally took 40 minutes to check-in.
Otherwise, no complaints. The room was spotless, we had a great viw and the breakfast was fine.

This hotel covers bare minimum. Although very clean, air conditioning did not work well and the bed was a bit stiff. Minimal pillows and without a front desk difficult to ask for more. Breakfast was good and service was also. Check in was ok, had the full check in menu been in the language chosen it would have been a bit easier.

This hotel is quite expensive for what you’re getting. It’s clean and well located, but that’s about it. The touch screen wasn’t working to check in for at least two days, which was frustrating. The doors don’t always latch well and we actually realized when about to go to bed that ours had swung open. The fire alarm also went off one morning for unknown reasons. The breakfast is free but a bit meh. All in all it’s overpriced.

Hated the virtual check in! They did not have our confirmed reservation and we were forced to rebook at a higher cost after the maid finally got someone in their emergency line to help us.
We were so exhausted from our travels and waiting the extra hour and a half was more exhausting.
Took an hour and a half to check in and we were only able to do it with the help of the maid who was so kind!!
We will never rebooknin a virtual hotel again.

Good Location, but lack of a front desk not cool

The building location was excellent and the bathroom and furniture was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was also a nice touch with a broad selection. However was not happy at having to check myself in at a terminal, manually enter passport information, addresses, etc. Took more time than a check-in should and I didn't feel that these cost savings on the hotel's part by having reduced staff on site was properly reflected in its cost per night. Additionally we checked in around 1600, got to our room and found they provided no wifi password. It is to be listed on the tv but the tv was not working so we had no password. Messaged property via hotels.com and got a response of tough luck...we will have someone look at it tomorrow. Tomorrow! I did not message them at 2330...it was 1600! They could have given me the password in the message or sent someone over but did not. Also, I never heard back in the morning and it was not fixed in the morning even up to checkout at 1100. Went the entire stay without wifi which is critical for international travelers who need a solid internet connection. Overall nice room and location, but not a good value for money with the checking in yourself, finding your own way to the hotel and around it and being provided no internet.

They did not answer the registered phone number and gave wrong information on email communications. When there wrong information was finally straightened out , late in the evening, there was only excuses, no apologies.

No A/C during a heat wave and rooms at 89 degrees F? I don't think so! Furthermore, there's no reception desk, or capable people to talk to there. The cleaning lady called their boss, and after they realized I already paid for my rooms, they refused to do anything about the insufficient bedding accommodations for my 3 kids. What a ripoff! Don't stay at this place. In fact, don't stay in Liechtenstein (it's like the North Korea of Europe) - we left and drove to Germany instead.

They use self check-in. We chose English on the check-in machine, but some of the fields where still in German. We managed to check in, but when we got to our room, the card reader on the door was not functioning. We tried getting extra cards and they all worked (blinked red) on other rooms, so it was definitely the card reader that was not working. We tried contacting the hotel, but all they provide is a phone number and we have a data-only local sim-card. We tried emailing them about the problem, but no response. We wasted a lot of time trying to contact them and to get into the room. Eventually, many hours later we managed to borrow a phone from a restaurant owner and call them. But they should really have a better plan for how to deal with non-functioning system when they have self check-in.

The location is great and easy to walk to restaurants and shops. We had difficulty when checking in as there’s no desk personnel, it’s all self check-in. There’s a monitor to enter quite a bit of information, but even though the “English” option was selected, several words were NOT in English and we didn’t know what they were asking. Finally another guest helped us, but we didn’t like this ‘self’ check-in process.

Comfortable modern hotel in a central location.

Very pleasant. Clean, modern and spacious and in a good central location close to shops, restaurants and sightseeing. Good breakfast, on-site free parking. Comfortable room with a balcony.
Lacked the personal touch somewhat , and the automated check in was a bit confusing as some of the words weren’t translated into English and we didn’t understand what was being asked.
However when our bed frame broke when I sat on the bed (!) I called the contact number and they sent maintenance to fix it within minutes so I was satisfied with that.

Loved it. Clean, sleek, modern and plush at the same time. Had a room with a view of the castle. Been my favorite hotel I’ve stayed in so far on this Europe trip. Good breakfast too

It’s a little weird as it’s a fully automated hotel and in 3 days we never saw a membership of staff. But it was all fine.
