We do know have any complaints with the hotel, clean, everything worked and the room was clean. We do suggest to update the outlets to plug in electronics but that's about it. The hotel looked like its in the process of remodeling. Might need to update the photos for the pool area as well. We didn't try the food there but we will for sure be back. The hotel is in a great location.

La atención del personal es excelente, las habitaciones se encuentran limpias y las instalaciones son muy agradables. MA COME NO, uno de los restaurantes del hotel, también cuenta con atención y sabores inigualables, que aunque vienen con un precio más elevado, valen la pena en su totalidad. Durante mi estancia se encontraban restaurando la recepción, aunque esto no nos ocasionó ningún problema. Al tratarse de un hotel ecológico, al bañarnos durante la noche el agua nunca logró calentarse, así que recomiendo considerarlo para tomar baños durante el día. De igual forma, iba con nosotros un niño de 2 años, por lo que una de las razones principales de elegir este hotel sobre otros era por los juegos infantiles, los cuales nos indicaron al ingresar que solo se arman los fines de semana, sería bueno armarlos entre semana o especificar este último punto. En general fue una muy buena experiencia y recomiendo ampliamente este hotel para futuras estancias.

The hotel is beautiful! The lobby is quite impressive. Located on a busy street but within walking distance of many stores/places to eat PLUS the Zona Piel. We stayed in room 604 in late October for 1 night. Room was very spacious and clean! Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was nice with good lighting. however the door wouldn’t stay closed for some reason so you just had to put the trash can in front of it. No fridge which was disappointing. Full length mirror was in the room which I always appreciate. I will have to say that checking in and out- the customer service was not friendly but since we only stayed for one night- what can you do…. Overall I would recommend and stay here again.

Do not stay here.

I paid for 2 rooms upfront poolside and my rooms were not poolside and the shower flooded the bathroom and got my clothes wet for a special occasion. The beds and pillows were hard and the ironing board was broken. I had to write down my complaints because manager was not there. Also got charged for 2 more people because my revised reservation didn’t show 2 more people.

Great place to stay

Lovely hotel, amazing staff, tasty food and close proximity to most shopping. Would stay here again, but would recommend not using such hard mattresses on the 8th (#802) floor. There was also a flood of water sitting stagnant on the 8th floor everyday.

My 2 nigh stay was ok. The place was comfortable, the decorations were nice. It was a small quiet place and local to stay for a family wedding weekend. The staff was friendly.
The pool was a bit dirty to get in. I was hoping to use the jacuzzi but it wasn't working at the time.
The restaurant had great service.
The only think was that my shower was draining so slow. I had to call the service man to come fix it.

A decent, pretty centrally located hotel

This is a decent and comfortable hotel to stay. Location is pretty central. Our room had a pretty modern look and was spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. Service was good. Hotel personnel was wearing masks and room service/cleaning crew are wearing white plastic overalls and gloves.

We had two minor issues:

1) The safe in our room did not lock.

2) Wifi works and download speeds are decent except there are some sort of port blocking (imap/pop3) that I was not able to download mail without first connecting to my company VPN (normally VPN connection is not required) or access on my phone when connected to cellular data (not wifi). If you are using a web based mail service this should not effect you.

These two issues are minor. I am sure they would solve the safe issue if we really need it.

Real bargain

Very nice room but many things were loose, especially in the bathroom. This hotel is well located in a good area and, although few spoke English, I reminded myself I AM IN MEXICO and I should make every effort to speak Spanish. The did make efforts to secure my comfort. It was well worth the price. It is a beautiful property and has several pools and a small gym. The restaurant is pleasant but avoid the adjoining Starbucks which is inadequate

Nice property, my 2nd time there. Don't book a room by the pool. Dark dingy dated rooms. Noisy also. Rooms in the tower are renovated, bright and quiet. There were room service dirty dishes left by the pool for 3 days. No one came to collect them. Pleasant helpful staff. I would stay there again, but in the tower.

The first room we got was on the second floor which seemed outdated. There were carpet nails sticking out on two areas and my daughters stepped on them. Management fixed it right away. The second room was gorgeous and on the first floor. However, we found small roaches and the water in the shower wouldn’t get hot. The toilet didn’t flush all the way, you’d had to flush at least twice for it to go away. My main complaint was management charging me for parking when I didn’t even have a car. Other than that staff was friendly and the food was amazing!

Its an amazing and comfortable hotel. They only thing is that we had an elderly person, and I think the elevator wasn't working. Also they only leave you 1 bottle of water for a room where there was 3 people. But I still loved it.

Other than that people were super friendly, we were helped a lot by Eduardo so thank you.

Nice but not like it used to be....

We have stayed at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it on at least three other occasions. In fact, we recommended this hotel to other family members attending the same family event. There are many things we enjoy about this hotel including the restaurants, bar, style and comfort of the rooms. However, we were dismayed by many little issues we encountered. Initially the air did not work and the toilet lid was loose. They fixed the air but not the toilet. The coffee maker leaked, which was not replaced after a call requesting that it be swapped out. The safe malfunctioned. Small items but taken together we don't think we will take a chance on this hotel next year. We will definitely return to the bar and restaurant, Saul the bartender is very talented!

Beautiful peaceful stay

We had the most amazing stay at hotel nueva estancia. The service personnel was very polite and the place was super clean. The restaurant food was delicious and service was great.

Close to restaurants and bus depot

We had a nice stay here. Only complaint was its noisy. People stay up late here and don't leave the pool area. So not much sleep.

Great vacation experience

We where there with a large group of people, multiple rooms with multiple arriving/departure dates ranging from single night to week+ stays for a family wedding nearby, Hotel is very beautiful and clean, Hotel staff beginning with Front Desk were very professional & helpful, Our stay included Breakfast which was excellent in everyway including the waiting Staff, Fresh hand made tortillas & Omelets made by this friendly lady (sorry cant recall her name) very good live organ music playing during breakfast was an additional plus, Bartender very friendly and knowledgeable, Overall we were all very pleased with our stay

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 2 years.

This visit, the level of service was very disappointing, due to understaffing.

Check in took over half an hour.

Breakfast one morning took over an hour to complete.

The above is very unusual and I hope it's just a hiccup.

Good location and very fine hotel

Remarkable location in that it was not in the center, but directly on a fine bus line to the center, and walking distance to the FERIA grounds. The main draw of Leon is leather shopping and the leather district is adjacent and the Factory Outlet stores are not far.

The location is great. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in quality, with some renovated and in good working order, whilst others can be a little sub-standard

Leon visit

This place is in zona piel area. The temple in downtown area is easily a mile walk. The outlets are about 6kms. The taxi service is available and the driver is incredibly hospitable. The services are first rate and we had no issues in arranging a taxi tour to Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende. The rooms especially the bathrooms are slightly outdated but the amenities are good. Restaurants are closeby and for morning their is a deligo which serves scrumptious breakfast for a price. The hotels ambience is great. Worth staying.

Pitstop in Leon

Perfect place to make a first hotel stop in Mexico - the wifi and comfortable accommodations made traveling less stressful. The hotel has a gym with most of the equipment working and a pool that my friends used. Food is okay. Very easy to get a cab from the front desk though the staff definitely doesn't always speak english (not that they should). 30 minute cab ride from the airport - ask for \"Limon\" if you want a very jovial, bilingual driver. I would stay here again if coming through Leon.

Incredible I would stay no where else. Big Hearts

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Just the hotel staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and safe. I really really enjoyed my stay. I was visiting my girlfriend and my Spanish is weak. The staff took the time to help me with language barriers. Everyone has huge hearts. I really appreciate them as people. The hotel room is very comfortable.

Lacked upscale expectations

Bed was uncomfortable. While the staff was nice, and accommodating, they managed to mess up a simple hamburger order twice. Food was great when they got the order right. Limited bar, so don't expect to order anything too fancy. No in and out parking available, had to valet every time making car access poor.

Great customer service

we did not had the remodels rooms, however the rooms were clean and spacious. During our vacation trip we stayed in another hotels and this was the BEST customer service! Quick check in and check out. They advised us of different restaurants, and help me coordinate a delivery of a birthday cake. Great service. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel close to bus depot and the leather area

Usually I din stay in a hotel when I travel to Mexico. However I wanted to try this time to stay in a hotel and booked thus one. It is a nice hotel close to downtown, bus depot, and the leather area. The room is comfortable but the cleaning is not so good.

One of the best!

Off one of the main streets in Leon. Close to downtown where lots of restaurants, bars and stores are at. Very nice hotel. Vintage Mexican style. Nice breakfast at El Domo or Deligo. Rooms are awesome. Beds are a bit hard and pillows as well but you can request softer pillows. This is one of the most popular hotels...the local soccer team Club Leon was there for a game against the Chivas. Will return!
