Breakfast was good but you need to be early. Half an hour before the end, nothing was topped up fresh and some things had run out. Bar menu good. Room was clean. Staff were friendly.

Hotel room had no air-conditioning, broken toilet had to be fixed, in room safe was broken could not be used, also had a week old expired full container of milk in the in room safe upon our arrival. Ask for a bucket of ice, didn’t have, but given a glass of ice… we questioned how to keep our refreshments cold and we were told there was no in room drinking allowed. Shower door was “ Jerry rigged” which allowed extensive water leaking all over the floor. We booked through Expedia, and I honestly felt when we checked in we were judged upon this and placed in a room accordingly…. “the Expedia room”. We were located right above the main street with 18 wheelers / transport/ haulage trucks going through at all hours of the night. This was partly mitigated with double painted windows.

Just stayed for one night. The room was fine but the bathroom was poorly designed. Counter/sink very high, only counter space was behind the toilet despite it being a very large room. Could have easily been half the size to make the bed/sitting area larger.

My wife and I enjoyed a three day stay 17th - 20th May.
We stayed in a twin room (148) on the first floor. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. We stayed on a B&B basis, but we also ate in the bar in the evenings. The breakfast was a buffet affair, but the food was fresh and very tasty. The bar menu in the evenings was the same each night with a limited selection, but again the food was very tasty and reasonable.
The staff in all areas were attentive and very friendly.
We had 1 issue with a leaking electric kettle, but when we reported it, it was replaced within the hour.

Staff were all lovely, good food, comfortable room.
We travelled with our 1 year old. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, surprised that other residents or members of public in for dinner seemed to be annoyed when he got a little bit upset towards the end of eating. He was waving and they looked away. Not hotels issue but going to family friendly places is always helpful.

Avoid the food.
Hairdryer in the room has safety mechanism which means it cuts out after 30 seconds and you have to wait 60 seconds for it to cool down before using it again.

This was our first time staying at the Villa Rose, and we couldnt have pick a better hotel, the staff were fantastic, the room, 273, was immaculate, spacious and the bed very very comfortable.
We ate at the Forge bar on Saturday evening, and again, the restaurant staff were brilliant, the food plentiful, and the atmosphere warm.

We have stayed at the villa rose and Jackson’s multiple times. We got at least 6-7 times per year. Staff are always warm welcoming and go out of their way to make sure we have a great stay. The rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean. The food in the forge bar is excellent both for adults and kids. Our kids love the pool in Jackson’s and I love the spa in the v spa which is in the villa rose. The treatments I have received there are second to none I have had spa treatments all over the world and would definitely rate the v spa in the top 3. We can not wait until our next stay. ❤️

Had a lovely weekend here, the room was just ok, needed a bit of attention in places, safe didnt work, sink badly cracked and constant clicking noise coming from somewhere. What made the weekend was the staff from the lovely Sinead in housekeeping and the fantastic staff in Forges bar where the food was absolutely superb, do good we ate here both nights.

The room was great , clean and tidy , warm and modern bright bathroom. The staff were brilliant very friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was top notch too. We eat in the forge bar, two nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Villa Rose for wee break.

All ok but wanted to check out later as elderly mum couldn't sleep, the receptionist was reluctant to accommodate us, that is fine but be nice please, just a little empathy would have been great.
Moved to Jacksons,staff were absolutely amazing. Bojo at reception was exceptional.

Room was extremely warm with no aircon.
Plumbing system kept us up all night as whenever any room near us flushed a toilet, it caused a 60 second fighter jet sound in our room.
Doors at the end of corridor and in room next to us lacked a soft close - instead they slammed shut and at all hours of the night which led to 2 sleepless nights.
Asked for a mud treatment at 4pm and was practically laughed by 3 staff members at the reception saying the spa closed at 5pm and there was ‘no chance’ even though it was vacant for our entire spa visit.
I did receive a great Swedish massage from Naiomi.
Over all, very poor. Unfortuantly will not return.

Weekend away in Ballybofey.

Two night stay. Lovely room. A little noisy from children across the hall.
We had one meal in hotel which was very good. Staff were very helpful especially on the Saturday night when we had booked a local Indian only to be overbooked. We got back to the hotel and restaurant had closed, but a lovely young lad got us sandwiches and chips off his own bat.

The staff were nice. Dinner was good. Our room was not worth what I paid. It was very dated and not at all sound proof. Not sure what was situated underneath but it sounded like a huge speaker was blasting music. The breakfast was not worth 15 euro each. The pastries tasted days old and the hot food was just ok.

A pleasant one-night stay.
The hotel is central to the town and there are lovely woodland walks beside the river Finn.
Room was adequate. There was no air conditioning and limited ventilation.
Bar was very busy. Staff were under pressure but very pleasant.
Parking was limited though we did eventually find a space.

I arrived late but the receptionist was absolutely lovely. (Blonde haired lady)

I got a call on my commute to see if I needed any assistance and to see was I still coming, which was a very nice touch.

The leisure centre looked fantastic but sadly I arrived too late to try.
Even though it's a bit out I will definitely visit this hotel again.

We had a bit of trouble with our bathroom light fuse continuing to blow. After night one they moved us to a different room and everything was perfect. The staff was simply wonderful, friendly, and helpful!

Stayed at the Villa Rose for a friends funeral. Staff there couldn’t have been more helpful, the room was beautiful, quiet and very well appointed. Breakfast the next morning was fit for a king. Thanks a million folks, you all made a very sad occasion easier to bear.

Had a great stay here for 1 night. Only grumble was the room had a wooden floor and was fairly noisy and could hear the room next door. Restaurant was very nice and food great.
