My husband and I stayed at Hotel Monte Mulini for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it!! Everything from hotel accommodations to the staff exceeded our expectations. The location of the hotel was perfect. Walking distance to old town but far enough to be able to enjoy a beautiful beach. We were especially blown away by the complimentary workshop facilitated by Daniel Skoblar on the Wim Hof method followed by a 3 minute ice bath!! Luca and Chiara (owners of Salt) were incredible people who offered top fashion in their pop up shop within the hotel. Lastly, the complimentary ceramic experience facilitated by Luka was simply lovely!! Overall, a phenomenal experience we would highly recommend!

We come to this hotel for the 3rd year in a row and we are sure that this is not the last time. Once again the hotel met all our expectations. We were very pleased that we were given a free upgrade to a higher category room on the 2nd floor with stunning sea views. I can't find the right words to describe the pleasure when you go out on the balcony with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and you have a view of all this beauty. The entire staff, as always, tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast has not changed, but everyone can find something that suits them. The location of the hotel is excellent. 20 minutes and you are in stunning Rovinj, and it itself is located in the park. Pine trees and the magnificent sea - what else could you dream of on vacation? We will definitely return

Lovely hotel in great location. Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds and good blackout curtains. Very quiet room and we slept so well the whole time we were in the hotel.

Breakfast was great and we appreciated that it was served until midday, so there was no rush in the morning.

Loved the location - a beautiful 15-20 minute walk into Rovinj, with loads of fantastic places to eat along the way.

I think the hotel should have more sun loungers. We were told to reserve ours by putting towels down. I hate doing this, and think hotels should have adequate areas to sunbathe around the pool. That's my only niggle.

The service in this hotel is first class. Rooms are attended to at least twice daily but often 3 or more times. Breakfast was included with our room but more importantly the staff were super attentive and offered additional food options not on menu. The breakfast was a buffet plus table service for hot food items and the variety of coffee choices. The lobby bar has an amazing selection of cocktails and a special Gin and tonic menu. The Espresso Martini is fantastic. The pool is great and the bar service at the pool is very good.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The staff always have a smile and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel rooms, pool area and grounds are spotlessly clean. The location is wonderful with a waterside walkway into the town which is just a delight. The beach, marina and town are also spotless - the pride the locals take in their surroundings is commendable. The spa (which is shared with a neighbouring hotel) via an indoor corridor is a perfect place to spend a cloudy morning or for a relaxing hour after at the end of a days sunshine. This area is underused and is a perfect place to enjoy some peaceful time. We cannot rate the Monte Molini high enough and is only the second hotel we have returned to for a second visit. Maybe we will visit again one day.

A wonderful, peaceful resort overlooking a quiet beach cove. The service and hospitality were excellent and the property is modern, clean, and well maintained.

There are several Maistra resorts here. The one to the east is tucked into the hillside and didn't appear to have quite the same view of the cove. Those to the west are closer to the town of Rovinj, but see more foot traffic along the beach and likely get a little more noise from passersby. We had a third-floor suite overlooking the cove and it was very relaxing—the sound of gentle waves on the beach drifted into our room and we experienced brilliant sunsets across the Adriatic and moonlight dancing on the cove.

Still, you're just a 5-minute walk from town and maybe 10 minutes to the many restaurants along the harbor. The hotel's restaurant is very good, with excellent service. I highly recommend the chocolate/raspberry cake—we had it one evening and returned for it the next! In the mornings the restaurant serves a Mediterranean breakfast buffet with a good variety of fresh fruits, breads, meat and cheese. There is an omelet and waffle menu as well, but the staff doesn't seem to broadcast it. We weren't aware of it until our last of our 4 days there, so be sure to ask!

The spa facilities are good as well, with both Turkish and Scandanavian saunas and a salt bath (though the salt bath wasn't operational during our stay). The saunas and public showers were clean, well maintained, and limited to two people for COVID.

It was a fantastic vacation. Great hotel. Spacious rooms. The service staff gave us the feeling that they were only working for us. Any our request was fulfilled within a minute. Special thanks to the hotel managers. Both women are named Alexandra and one of them speaks Russian. They helped us a lot with the choice of restaurants for dinner. The hotel has a wonderful beach and beach bar. The hotel itself is located in the park. The breakfasts are amazing with the ordering of hot dishes à la carte. You can even order combinations that are not on the menu.
But, there are also small disadvantages:
There is very little space in the room for things. There are several bedside tables, but with small and shallow drawers that don't fit. Large wardrobe, but only with hangers for
clothes.
There are no coffee and tea facilities in the rooms (although a kettle and cups were brought at my request). In hotels of this level, as a rule, rooms of any category have a coffee machine with capsules. I hope it will be in this hotel too.
And the biggest disadvantage, in my opinion, is the balconies. Balconies have a partition between two balconies on one side only, and on the other side it is completely open and, sitting on the balcony, you can easily communicate with your neighbors, which is not very comfortable. We had a corner balcony, so it didn't really bother us.
But, these are all little things and we will definitely return to this hotel.

Super hotel! Honestly, there is nothing negative to say about this place except it was maybe missing the local charm...lovely hotel, but could have been anywhere. That being said, the breakfast was delicious and vast, luxurious amenities, complimentary champagne and cake on my birthday, etc! What stood out was the service!! A special thank you to Momir and Davide for the personal and exceptional service, they felt like friends we had known and made our stay that much better!! Also, the women that took care of our rooms were super sweet! One thing to mention, the path next to the water into town, it is closed due to hotel being built. Unfortunate, but not the hotels fault! Not sure when it will be complete, but walking to town isn't a big deal, just worth mentioning since you can't walk by the water and is a little longer.

Loved everything about Hotel monte Mulini. We had a spectacular room with a gorgeous view. The room was spacious, modern and had every bell and whistle you’d want in a hotel room. The property was gorgeous with beautiful pool area as well
as a beach club/restaurant. It was so easy to spend all day there! Walking into the charming town of Rovinj was easy and fun. The views, the restaurants, the sunset were all with the walk. The staff at the restaurants were all wonderful. We had a great dinner at Mediterraneo and a delightful waiter named Dragan.

An absolutely amazing property!!! The building is beautiful and welcoming. The grounds are immaculate with an awesome pool and beach. Little touches like an expansive included breakfast buffet, free use of beach club and bikes for exploring and a wine and olive oil tasting with their sommelier were much appreciated. One of the most wonderful hotels I have ever stayed in and that's including The Park Hyatt with Opera House views in Sydney. The food in the restaurant was superb and the sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. At the moment because of building work on the way you cannot walk around the shore into the old town but the hotel is providing a free shuttle bus. The pool was easily accessible with rails and steps into the water and the beach, although all pebbles provided great swimming opportunities.

A day trip on the local bus to the Roman antiquities in Pula very easily sorted. Three hours gets you to view them comfortably

The hotel was clean, the staff efficient and friendly and the food great. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was best we had in Croatia. The gym was good although the staff insisted on playing loud music although we were the only ones there. We turned it down, they turned it up, several times. We finally gave up and moved our mats and weights outside.

After driving across Croatia staying at small hotels in historic districts, Monte Mulini was a nice change. This modern hotel sits on a quiet, private bay only a short walk to the historic town of Rovinj. We enjoyed using the sauna and steam room in the spa. Very relaxing break to a hectic driving vacation. We plan to return some day and stay longer.

M in the middle

Still fantastic

Our second stay in this beautiful hotel. The location is so beautiful. The staff are wonderful. Everything is done with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is so peaceful, elegant and perfect for a luxury break in a beautiful country. We look forward to our next visit.

Picturesque, quite & great service

Beautiful property with great service. Staff were attentive, polite and proactive. Some have mentioned the hotel to be far, but although it is not in the old town it is a nice 15 minute stroll along the waterfront, passing cafés, to get to the old town, great to walk off the dinner! The path is a pedestrian & bike path with a beautiful view of the old town & passing a few cafés and shops. We drove and the hotel had parking, which is much more convenient than getting to the old town and figuring out parking. The hotel was modern and clean. Breakfast had a wide selection of cold buffet and a hot item could be ordered off an a la carte menu. Issues with Internet signal inside our room, no issues outside of our room. Seemed like a popular place for European families to vacation, due to there being a nice pebbly beach with great chairs &children's play area. Pool was super cold, even on a sunny day. Pool staff were attentive . Nice bike path & hotel has complimentary bikes for use. My only complaint -Cobb webs in the corners of the bathroom, bed frame & windows, a small detail missed by cleaning crew but stil noticeable. Hotel is expensive but you pay for the service and amenities provided, they do not disappoint.

Superb Beach Hotel

I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel. Large comfortable rooms with extraordinary beautiful sea view and balconies; inventive shef; a variety of tasty food for breakfast; a large park and a beach in front of the hotel. But perhaps the best bit is high quality service. All staff members are polite, helpful and cheerful.

Fabulous hotel!

We had a fabulous room, #323, looking out to the sea from the top floor. Excellent staff, top notch standards, and the best location. Lovely bike ride into Rovinj along the water. I would go back anytime!

Stylish and relaxing

Great experience all round ... can't wait to return ... so much to do in the area (if you can prise yourself away from the hotel) ... great new beach area too!
