Yes, this is indeed the best place to stay!

The location can't get any better. Its in the old town, in a stunning building with incredible touches like old hardwoods and shuttered windows. The staff is incredible and will make your stay seamless. I can't imagine having stayed anywhere else.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Rovinj

Beautiful hotel in the most central location of Rovinj, close to the beaches and in the middle of old town. The room had everything we needed plus complimentary breakfast and free parking and free bikes. Would definitely stay here again!

Very Nice Hotel and a great manager Alex.

Alex at the hotel was outstanding. He was so helpful, with suggestions and tips about Rovinj. After a long day of driving and beIng confused with how to get to the hotel, he came and met us in a parking lot and had us follow him back to the hotel. Our room was very nice and in a great location in Old Town. The free breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Rovinj.

The check in would have been better if we had been informed that we needed to call the hotel ahead in order for them to meet us an drive us in, they then park the car outside the old city. It was strange having our room several streets away from the main hotel

Great location. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Pleasant rooms. Steep stairs, but nice staff carried the luggage up and down the stairs for us. Depending on which room you are in, you may want to wear an eye mask to reduce the light from the windows.

Hotel rooms located in middle of beautiful historic town. We had a problem finding the hotel, make sure you get good directions. The manager was really helpful but seemed run off his feet having to be in numerous locations at once

Outstanding hospitality and comfort

Casa Garzotto is in the oldest part of town. The annex where we stayed is a short walk from the main hotel where breakfast is served. We were pleasantly surprised to be met at our arrival and escorted to the hotel. This was just the beginning of outstanding service provided by Alex and his colleagues at the hotel. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The double bed—actually two twins—was great. Breakfast was provided each morning with both hot and cold dishes. We were given access to bicycles to ride to the various nature areas. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a ferry. Alex and Nanad met us at our room, carried our luggage to the dock, and even provided a sack lunch complete with fresh croissants. If I were to return to Rovinj I’d look no further for lodging.

Perfect location. But, that's the end of perfection. There were ants in the room and the sink didn't drain properly. The beds were horrid and miserably uncomfortable. Breakfast didn't change. The staff, Alex in particular, was great. Arranging the meet at the car park was confusing .

A Great Place to Stay

Casa Garzotto is located in the Old Town of Rovinj, mostly a pedestrian area. The hotel is charming and well appointed with an antique feeling. Each room has a queen size bed and a sofa bed. Having a place to sit and relax makes it very comfortable. Eric is a wonderful host, he is both helpful and personable. An excellent breakfast is served in a restaurant around the corner. Bring your walking shoes, as Rovinj is a great walkaround town.

Cute place in town. Within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was excellent. The place provides free parking but you have to call the hotel and have them meet you at the car park. This would have been helpful to know. We really enjoyed our stay but found it a bit pricey. Pro tip. You can easily stay park in the car park and walk into town. We booked here because of the free parking and ended up paying quite a bit more then we needed to. Stairs are extremely steep to rooms. Staff were really helpful with luggage.

Pleasant stay in Rovinj.

Great stay with the hotel. Robert and Jacob were very helpful. The location is in the center of the town near the square. It was easy to explore around, many great restaurants all around. They can recommend some places for you. Baware however if you cannot climb steep stairs up and down, to make sure to request lower floor. There is no parking in the old town, but they offer valet parking. Good breakfast spread.

Loved our stay!

We were so happy we chose Casa Garzotto for our stay in Rovinj! We had a room at the annex building, which was centrally located and had amazing views. The room was perfect for what we needed and the breakfast was so delicious.

Our favorite part of this hotel was the staff. They each went out of their way to ensure our stay was excellent. From meeting us city center to bring our luggage in, to re-parking the car and explaining our way around the town and what to do. The restaurant staff was so accommodating and made the best breakfast of our entire trip. I would definitely stay here again!

canot drive to hotel which is in the old town. Did not realize we were suppose to call the hotel when we reached the old town. Anyway our cell phone does not work once we leave America So we parked the car and wandered through the old town asking for directions. We received some very wrong directions before we received the correct ones Our room was not in the same building as reception or the restaurant it rained hard most of the time we were there

Staff was very helpful in parking our car for us(outside the old town) and bringing it to us when we wanted to use it

The hotel is in old old buildings so we had to go up and down narrow twisting stairways

Great location, could use some attention to detail

We have stayed here before and our experience was much better four years ago, could be the room we received this time but the stay was much less memorable. The room on the top floor had a TV that did not work and looked like it was purchased ten years ago, very small like a computer screen. We never had reception during our stay, however that was not important to us. The air conditioner did not work and leaving the windows and doors open it was hard to sleep due to the sea gulls and street noise. Overall felt there was nothing being put back into this property that would upgrade the traveler's experience during their stay.

Cozy inn in the heart of old town w/ helpful sta

This is a lovely inn with very helpful service. The two gentlemen worked so hard to accommodate us. The room was very nice and location in the old town of Rovinj is excellent. The breakfast was tasty, plentiful, and fresh coffee or capucchinos made on request. Only suggestion is to email directions on his Tobee handle parking upon arrival. You cannot drive into the old town unless you have a local card pass, so you have to call to tell the hotel when you are arriving and they have a parking attendant with the local card pass drive you close to the hotel then park the car for you. Whisk us great! But we didn't lie know this so paid to park in a car lot outside the old town a walked with all our luggage. If they had sent instructions it works have been so much easier. Otherwise fantastic hotel!

One of the absolute highlights of our trip!

It is interesting how things unfold-- I had originally planned a stay at another hotel- there was a glitch and we ended up at this incredible hotel. It is the most unique place I have ever staying at. We spoke at length with the owner, Dario, who explained the history of this ancient building. Their restaurant is attached by going downstairs through a winding, low ceilinged hallway. Our room was comfortable and had modern conveniences- which Dario cleverly integrated seamlessly into the ancient rooms. But, the very highest point of our visit here was the dinner. Dario asked if we wanted fish or meat. I then mentioned that I had never had a truffle. We were the only guests here and were treated royally. Oh my.... the food was exquisite. We started out with a salad and then pasta with the truffle sauce- this would have been more than sufficient but next came an entire sea bass with Croatian dipping sauce of olive oil ( and have no idea what else was in there). This was followed by home-made strudel. Dario's mother is an absolute delight. Seriously, in thinking back upon our entire trip along the Croatian coast, this was certainly a top, top experience.

Weekend in Rovinj

Check in went well, Would have been really bummed if we would have had to lug our luggage up and down the stairs. We stayed in the secondary building, the room was small and sparse, bathroom tiny. I wouldn't recommend it for a larger size person. This place really is all about the atmosphere. I did really enjoy Rovinj. As long as you just need a place to crash and want to be in the old part of town give it a try.

A quaint and wonderful hotel!

Absolutely charming and wonderful experience. Staff was super helpful, informative and efficient. Breakfast included was very good. This hotel is in such a great location close to everything. Room was small but adequate for the two of us. A/C worked great and shower was powerful. Serenaded to sleep in the evening with classical guitar music wafting up from the street.

Nice hotel in the heart of old town Rovinj. Nightly local music below the room, adjacent to a wine bar. Short walk to the port and shopping. Good breakfast. Rooms have no TV or phones, which was a nice touch. Rovinj is about exploring the Croatian culture, arts, and the incredible coastline with breathtaking sunsets. A wonderful experience. I can't wait to return!

Quaint hotel in the middle of the old town comprising rooms in a number of different buildings. Limited facilities in hotel but restaurants and bars adjoin. No access to a pool. Very steep stairs so this is not a hotel for the infirm or less able bodied. Very helpful staff. Expensive for what it is, so fails the value for money test.

A great place in the Old City of Rovinj

We found Casa Garzotto through Rick Steves book and the hotel was as described. Our room was in a 15th century restored house with \"old world charm\" but certainly clean and adequate. We had a few stairs to climb which was no problem but if you have walking issues, it could be. We were very satisfied to find a cozy, clean place within the walls of the old town. The breakfast was fabulous!

Taking care of details

This hotel is located inside the historic walled area of the city. No vehicle traffic is allowed which creates a problem getting luggage to the hotel as well as locating the hotel itself because the car GPS can't be used. The hotel staff took care of everything - meeting us at the outlaying parking lot, transporting us and our luggage to the hotel and even returned our rental car for us. The hotel is in a great location and the staff, Robert & Dom could not have been more helpful.

Wonderful, warm and charming

We spent four nights here and would go back if the opportunity arises. Casa Garzotto is an excellent hotel with caring and attentive staff, stellar breakfasts and historic charm in the amazing city of Rovinj. While it's located in the historic section in a very old building, the hotel has every necessary convenience to provide a comfortable stay.

Minus: you definitely need to phone to figure out how to get to the hotel with a car; our room (in one of the annexes) was so small that we could barely move around in it; our room was located above a square that was noisy and where the shop owners right below seemed to smoke constantly; bed seemed substandard

Stayed with my wife on our honeymoon. Arrived late on boat from Venice and were met at the dock by hotel staff. We were walked to the room, shown landmarks around town, and ultimately shown a restaurant still serving food at the late hour. The daily breakfasts were fantastic. Bikes and beach towels were made available and taken advantage of. Nice location in the middle of the old town. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. I would stay here again without question if going through Rovinj again.

Nice location in the old city.

Only there for one night. The staff did everything to help us with suitcases and in the morning taking us to the ferry. Because of early departure for the ferry (5 am) they even arranged a breakfest to carry with us. We could not had have a better service.
I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to everything.

Fantastic location in old town near the harbor and incredibly friendly and helpful service. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Big thing to know is that because there are no cars in old town, you have to park in a lot and then walk to the hotel - stay by the water and you can stay off cobblestones for as long as possible!

Red bull air race 2014

We chose this hotel as it was near to where the red bull air race was taking place .it was our wedding anniversary and we could not have been better looked after .The owner Dario picked us up from the airport and we were given the top floor room .lots if stairs but well worth the climb .it is a typical old fashioned Croatian hotel with loads of character and it was fantastic.only downsides was no bar and restaurant was not open as it was out of season but the breakfasts were fab. We were so near everywhere it didn't matter .right on the harbour .Olivera gave us a welcome drink and Marina could not have been more helpful. Beautiful place and fab people .Robert took us back to the airport and we were given a leaving grappa from Dario and his mother .would go back tomorrow .just make sure you take kuna but also euros if you want private transport .

You might get placed in the \"overflow\" hotel.

This hotel has two separate properties in the town. The room they gave us was not in the hotel advertised in Expedia but rather a dowdy ordinary room 3 blocks from the \"nice\" hotel and also a 3 block walk to breakfast. We felt like 2nd class citizens beside those guests that had the rooms in the boutique hotel, who had paid the same as we had. False advertising on this one.

Only stayed one night. Right in the heart of the old town, a little difficult to find but everyone is very helpful in Croatia so we simply asked. There are 3 buildings and are apartment style, with a restaurant for complimentary breakfast. The people working there were very kind and friendly and the room was very cute and clean. We were leaving very early the next morning and they actually bagged a breakfast for us which we thought was very considerate!!

Wish I could rate this charmer higher!

Being on our honeymoon, I wanted to spoil my wife with 5 star hotels. Made an exception with this charming hotel based on our guidebook and boy were we pleasantly surprised. When we showed up, my wife started giggling like a little girl at the old world charm and character of this beautiful place. The owner and his staff were up waiting for us to arrive (our GPS took us on a wild ride through Croatia and we arrived at midnight). Although the restaurant was closed, when they learned we were hungry, they scrambled to prepare something for us and entertained us with lively conversation and an honest interest in learning about our honeymoon. The room was HUGE and the bed very comfortable. I paid many times more for other hotels in Europe but none provided the memories we forged here. Cannot recommend enough.

Charming hotel in the heart of Rovinj

This small hotel/inn is in the best part of Rovinj which is Stari Grad (old town). It has a medieval feel to it but the room offers the comforts of home, including a small kitchenette which would have been a great option had we had more time in Rovinj. People were very nice and lots of choice at breakfast (bread, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogourt, fruit, cakes/pastries). While the hotel is very close to the best parts of Rovinj, they still met us at the ferry docks to help with luggage which we appreciated considering how late it was. Overall, I highly recommend it and would stay there on my next visit.

Sehr schönes und uriges Hotel inmitten der Altstadt.Zimmer war zu Beginn sehr kalt. Uns wurde aber umgehend ein weiteres Heizgerät zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Zimmer wurden nicht jeden Tag gereinigt. Es mangelte uns an Toilettenpapier. Da die Rezeption nur sporadisch besetzt war, war es auch nicht möglich welches zu besorgen.

rivates Hotel mit Charme und jeder Menge Charakter

Das Garzotto im fantastischen alten, fast antiken Stil war an Service, Gastfreundschaft und Offenheit des Personals nicht zu übertreffen.

Wir waren außerhalb der Saison in Rovinj, was mit Sicherheit zu der Entspanntheit und dem ein oder anderen persönlichen Gespräch positiv beitrug.

Das Casa Garzotto ist mit Sicherheit ein Hotel mit seinem ganz eigenen Charme und wir waren tatsächlich etwas wehmütig, nach einer Woche wieder gehen zu müssen.

Die einzigen Mankos stellten für uns einige hygienische Aspekte am Frühstücksbüffet dar und dass beim täglichen Roomservice keine frischen Gläser bereitgestellt wurde. Hier hätte man sicherlich etwas sagen können, das war für uns aber kaum relevant.

Im großen und ganzen auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen.

요청사항을 바로 들어주시고, 여지껏 최고의 호스트에 손꼽힐 정도입니다. 숙소도 엔틱하고 멋스러운데, 아무래도 오래된 건물이라 조금의 불편함은 감수해야합니다.
올드타운 안에 있어서 위치도 좋구요.
아침식사 상태도 괜찮아요~
주차도 무료라 여러모로 가성비도 좋고
추천할만합니다.
다만,, 라디에이터를 틀없음에도 약간 추워요.

Supert hotell, topp service, god frokost og hyggelig betjening er hva du får på dette lille familiedrevne hotellet midt i gamlebyen i Rovinj. Du kan om du avtaler kjøre nesten helt til døra men gamlebyen er i praksis stengt for biltrafikk. Velger du likevel å kjøre helt fram parkerer hotellbetjeningen bilen din på deres egen parkeringsplass utenfor sentrum. Sier du i fra et kvarter før du trenger bilen, så henter de den til deg. Vi bodde i et aneks som lå noen skritt fra selve hotellet. Huset var etter sigende nesten 1000 år gammelt men rommet hadde aircondition og kjøleskap, noe som er viktige fasiliteter når gradestokken nærmer seg 40 grader.

오래되었지만 편안한 호텔

로비니 호텔이 대부분 그렇지만 건물이나 방은 굉장히 오래되었지만 지내기에는 펀안한 호텔입니다..

좁은 골목길에 있어 호텔을 찾기가 굉장히 어려우니 구글맵을 이용해서 잘 찾아가셔야합니다..

호텔 건물에 룸이 4개정도 있고 조금 떨어져있는곳에 룸이 3개있어 호텔을 찾았어도 조금 이동해서 묵을수도 있는데 직원들이 친절히 안내해주고 캐리어도 알아서 이동시켜주니 걱정할 필요는 없습니다..

호텔이 위치한 시가지는 외부차가 진입하지 못하고 현지인 허가가 있어야만 진입가능하니 차를 가져가시는분은 근처에 도착해서 호텔에 전화를 하시면 마을 진입로에 나와서 같이 진입한후 외부에 차를 주차해줍니다..
아니면 마을 진입로에 차를 일단 주차해놓고 호텔에 가서 주차위치를 대충 알려주면 나중에 차에 있는 캐리어를 룸으로 가져다 주고 주차도 알아서 이동해서 해줍니다..
차는 체크아웃할때 이야기하면 마을로 가져다주니 큰 불편함은 없습니다

När vi kom till Rovinj så ringde jag hotellet och vi blev upphämtade utanför den bilfria zonen. Vi blev transporterade till hotellet och bilen kördes iväg av dem till deras parkering. Hotellet ligger mitt i den gamla delen av stan. Underbart med klippbad nära hotellet. Mysiga restauranger utanför i gränderna. Frukosten ganska begränsad men helt ok.

Værelset levede på ingen måde op til vores forventninger. Luften i værelset var fugtigt, uanset udluftning, aircondition og andre tiltag. AC’en kunne ikke køle værelset ned. Køleskabet havde en fin størrelse, men det larmede helt vildt og afgav en masse varme, som ikke ligefrem hjalp på fugtigheden i værelset. Nogle af stikkontakterne i værelset sad ikke fast i væggen.
Badeværelset havde det der skulle være, men der var desværre svamp i brusekabinen, og ventilationen var ude af drift. Ved ankomst var vandhane meget utæt og løb hele tiden en smule. Det resulterede i, at varmtvandsbeholderen hele tiden stod og kogte vand, så der konstant var +30 grader på badeværelset. Da vi nævnte det for personalet, gik der flere dage, før vandhanen blev fikset. Vi kom endda hjem til et badeværelse uden vand en dag, fordi de ikke var blevet færdige inden fyraften.
Den gamle bydel, hvor hotellet ligger, er lukket for biler. For os betød det, at det var meget vanskeligt at finde hotellet. Når man først er blevet indlogeret, er dette virkelig et plus for byen. Den gratis parkering foregår 3 km uden for byen på et tilfældigt sted. Man kunne aflevere bilnøglerne til receptionisten, som henter og bringer bilen efter behov.
Sengen var god, der var rengøring og nye håndklæder hver dag, og der var en god føntørre. Morgenmaden lå 2 min gang væk, og den var fin. Værelset lå i hjertet af den gamle bydel, så alting var lige i nærheden. Omgivelserne var utroligt smukke og romantiske.

Romantisk byferie

Rovign er en fantastisk smuk by. Ingen biler i byen hvilket gjorde at hotellet var behjælpelig med at parkere vores bil samt transportere vores bagage op vores værelse. Hyggelig beliggenhed og en fantastisk god morgenbuffet i hyggelige omgivelser. Yderst venligt personale

Bra frukost och mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma personal.
Utmärk läge om man vill bo i gamla stan.
Mycket litet rum, man kunde knappast röra sig. Litet och slitet badrum.
Vi hamnade i ett rum utanför själva hotellets byggnad. Varken hårfön eller kylskåp.
Mycket oväsen på kvällarna.

Rovinj ist ein Traum

Vielleicht gibt es auch bessere Zimmer als meins, dann habe ich Pech gehabt. Das Zimmer lag nicht im Hauptgebäude, was bei der Buchung nicht angezeigt wurde. Das Zimmer war sehr klein ebenso das Bad. Die Einrichtung war bunt gemischt, IKEA Schrank, Sessel und Tisch entstammen einer anderen Epoche. Die Dusche hatte Schimmel. Das Zimmer war sehr laut und hellhörig, alle anderen Gäste mussten an meiner Kammer vorbei und es hörte sich aber an, als würden sie durch das Zimmer klettern. Für den Preis habe ich einfach mehr erwartet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Lage recht zentral.

Personnel impeccable, serviable et professionnel. Petit déjeuner délicieux servi dans une charmante cour intérieure.
Le seul point noir était la taille de la chambre, minuscule. A peine la place au sol pour poser 1 valise .
Nous avions la chambre \"Balladur Pavan\" au 1er étage, dans un magnifique bâtiment du 15e siècle.
En revanche ne comptez pas dormir avant minuit car elle donne sur une terrasse très animée le soir.
Pour 140€ la nuit nous avons été un peu déçus par cette chambre.
