Room is outdated. Mold in bathroom. Ceiling texture was falling. Towel rack was also falling. Towels were dingy and old.

On the other hand, room and hotel common areas were clean. Staff was pleasant and polite.

This is absolutely NOT a 4 stars hotel. This place felt more like a glorified motel or Inn rather than a 4 stars.

Hotel was in a good location for shopping and dinning options. AC in the room was very noisy and was leaking water. They charge a service fee which is dumb. For this reason I can not give it a 5 star.

The staff is courteous and friendly, there seemed to alway be someone that spoke English available. I felt safe the entire time I was there. Only complaints were it got loud in the hall early in the mornings and the tv didnt work. I like to leave it on as white noise.
House keeping was very friendly and helpful. I only had one meal in the restaurant, it was fine.
There is a plaza across the street in front of the university. It was nice to sit and eat a pastel (go to the yellow shop.) There were homeless in it late at night, but I sat out on a bench a few nights and felt safe.
There is a pharmacy and a small place to get groceries a few blocks away.
The big selling point is a beautiful park about a 5 min walk away. Its got a lot for kids to see, its perfect for runners and its maintained well.
From the hotel it was a short walk to the outdoor pedestrian shopping area, and the location seemed good otherwise.
Its a good safe clean affordable choice, but it just didnt wow me like some other hotels have.

Cons: awful wi-fi, rooms are dated (don’t be fooled by the beautiful lobby), beds are uncomfortable - old mattresses; no fitted sheets. Restaurant serves lunch and dinner but service is VERY slow.

Whitaker's IL DIVO WEEKEND

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The check in was smooth and pleasant. The desk clerk was very helpful in answering all of our questions regarding the general vicinity as well as the hotel amenities.
Our room was spacious and very clean and carefully attended. I would recommend larger sheets be used for the king sized bed. Sheets were too small and came untucked and problematic. Other than the sheet issue another recommendation would be to replace the bath towels with newer ones. Towels were clean but well worn.
Breakfast was provided with the room and can be described as exceptional. Great variety and taste for everything that my wife and I tried.
Price was exceptional for the quality of the facility and the room we enjoyed.

I arrived at the hotel and the clerk could not locate my Expedia reservation. He was very unwilling to help and I had to call Expedia customer service in the US to get things straightened out. He went to the back and told me nothing or what was going on. I asked another clerk to look for my reservation and he found something with the incorrect date and told me the other guy was in the back room talking to Expedia. When he came back he simply gave me the room keys and that was all. At check out, different clerk, same lack of empathy. The room has good size and it clean. The bed is very uncomfortable, way too hard and the pillows are flat. the AC keeps cooling even when you turn it off on the remote and it keeps a very low temperature. The good things are the location and free breakfast. It has several items and they are all fresh.

Psycho Carnival 2016

Overall wonderful stay and first time experience in Curitbia, Brasil! Everyone was most welcoming aside from my subpar Portuguese and eager to assist me. Hotel is well maintained and has a beautiful wall water fountain that welcomes you in from the street; it is also close to beautiful landmarks (Setor de Ciencias Juridicas, Praca Santos Andrade, Passeio Publico, Catedral de Curitiba, and other gems).
Also for my runner and vegan friends, I would recommend this location, as it is only a short walk or run away from several vegan places that serve delicious Brazilian treats.

If visiting Curitiba for a local visit or for all the festivities that occur during early February which include but are not limited to: Zombie Walk CWB, Curitiba Rock Carnival, and of course Psycho Carnival! This hotel would make a great choice, as it is close to all the action, while far away enough to allow you to rest (when needed). Great memories were made and I would like to thank everyone that made it possible to feel so at home!

Quarto: instalações do quarto são antigas, detalhes no piso, paredes do quarto com detalhe, banheiro antigo, ar condicionado virado para baixo e para cama, guarda roupa sem divisões, lençóis sem elástico.

Café da manhã: poderia ser melhor em termos de qualidade;

Estacionamento: hotel não tem estacionamento próprio, tem convênio com serviço de valler 35,00 diária, um custo a mais do que outros hotéis oferecem.

Cobrança indevida: cobraram uma taxa de serviço, mas não pagamos.

Atendimento cordial, desde o check in fomos muito bem recebidos e instruídos. O hotel tem um ambiente familiar, o quarto era exatamente como descrito, camas boas, banheiro grande, chuveiro excelente, tudo limpo e organizado. O café da manhã com boa variedade, bem feito e com atendentes muito gentis. O estacionamento é pago a parte 35 reais.
Quando estivermos em Curitiba com certeza voltaremos ao Mabu Hotel.

Não me hospedaria novamente nesse hotel. Desde a chegada o atendimento foi precário. Não fica ninguém na entrada para ajudar com as malas. Houve demora no checking. Cobraram uma taxa adicional na entrada que usualmente não se cobra quando já pagamos a estadia ao Hotels.com. O aquecedor do quarto não funcionou e não havia cobertores. Passei frio durante a noite.

I stayed alone for eight nights. The room I was given the first day was noisy and had no outside windows. O hotel é aconchegante, Curitiba estava fazendo muito frio durante a nossa estadia, mas o hotel possui quartos bem quentinhos com aquecedor. O atendimento foi excelente, todos bem prestativos principalmente o Júlio. A localização TB é boa, perto de tudo.

Atendimento na recepção é muito bom. As experiências no restaurante foram péssimas, tanto solicitando para a entrega no quarto, quanto pela espera de quase duas horas para receber um prato básico de massa com molho de queijo. O banho é apenas razoável, e quarto, mesmo estando para o lado interno, acaba tendo barulho vindo do saguão (e estava em andar alto). A localização é boa e tranquila.

Esperava mais do hotel. É um hotel que, pra quem não conhece, parece um \"hotel de luxo\", mas na verdade é bem meia boca. O atendimento no check-in e check-out não é dos melhores. O quarto tem várias marcas de desgaste (antigo). O banheiro não tem nenhuma ventilação. Cobram 8 reais numa água de 350ml. O café da manhã é bem sem graça. É pão, mortadela, queijo, vina, ovos, bolos, pão de queijo... O mesmo que um hotel com diária de 100 reais. Enfim... A estrutura do hotel é ótima, quarto e espaço são bons, o que é negativo na avaliação é fácil de mudar e melhorar.

Hotel com entrada bem bonina, quartos grandes e confortáveis. Gostei bastante do café da manhã, academia com aparelhos novos, infelizmente o que precisava melhorar era a piscina que parece que não estava limpa e era fria, uma sugestão é aquecer a piscina, já que fica numa área interna.

De modo geral é bom, mas tem um problema gravíssimo de limpeza, ou melhor, manutenção. O filtro do ar condicionado estava com uma crosta de pó(como se vê na foto), sendo que o rolo ventilador estava cheio de bolor e mofo. Anos sem limpeza... Pintura descascada, gotejamento de água, etc...

Boa estrutura do hotel, mas deixa a desejar na manutenção.
O apartamento tinha bom espaço e suposto conforto.
Mas, além de não haver tomadas disponíveis ao lado da cama, o ar condicionado apresentava vazamento de água, assim como o vaso sanitário, denotando falha de manutenção.
Para um hotel que supostamente tem alto padrão, esses descuidos desqualificam-no.

Bom, mas com necessidade de aprimoramentos

O hotel é bom e bem localizado, mas precisa de alguns aprimoramentos em sua estrutura e no serviço. O checkin levou cerca de 10min para ser finalizado e, após chegar ao quarto, não era uma cama de casal, conforme a reserva. Posteriormente, percebi que o ar condicionado não estava funcionando, o que só foi ocorrer no outro dia. No meu último dia, mesmo com a placa de não perturbe na porta, a camareira entrou no quarto, sem sequer bater na porta. Por último, no momento do checkout, só uma pessoa da recepção fazia o procedimento… a outra, não. Nunca tinha visto isso. São pequenas coisas que, facilmente, podem ser melhoradas, mas que geram incômodo nos hóspedes. Deixo claro que resolveram a questão da cama e do ar condicionado, mas deveria ser algo para ser resolvido na mesma hora, apesar de ser quase meia noite quando cheguei na habitação no primeiro dia. Além disso, todos foram muito cordiais diante dos meus questionamentos e solicitações.

Boa localização, quarto confortável e excelente café da manhã, com ótimavariedade de itens. Atendimento dos funcionários é excelente. O chuveiro, apesar de forte, esquenta e esfria do nada, podendo causar queimaduras. A limpeza deixa um pouco a desejar. O ar condicionado não deve ser higienizado (nem o filtro) há um ano, pois é imundo por dentro, comprometendo o funcionamento e o ar do quarto. Wi-Fi, nonquarto, bastante instável. A academia, que não lembro de ter visto qualquer observação a respeito, estava fechada, de acordo com aviso afixado no elevador. O quarto, de forma geral, é confortável, tem roupas de cama e banho limpas e de qualidade. O hotel precisa de uma atenção na manutenção e conservação de alguns itens. O teto do banheiro estava com a pintura descascando, por exemplo. Não tem sistema de segurança eficiente, como se espera nos dias atuais. Não há câmeras nos elevadores ou nos andares.
Obs: a avaliação está sendo feita pelo celular e não consegui adicionar as fotos do quarto e do ar condicionado, mas estão disponíveis, principalmente no caso do ar condicionado, caso a administração tenha alguma dúvida sobre o que escrevi. Lembrando que aparelhos de ar condicionado precisam ter os filtros limpos mensalmente e os aparelhos, principalmente quando muito utilizados, também devem ser higienizados semestralmente, evitando assim problemas respiratórios ou funcionamento inadequado.
