Highly recommend this hotel. Enjoyed our stay this week in Ourense. Comfortable beds, quiet room, and great shower. Breakfast food was good although the room itself is quite warm and humid. Wish the AC was on or cooler.

NH Ourense - great hotel for stay in Ourense

Used this hotel for a business trip. Hotel had parking although this was 100 metres up the road from the hotel (a bit awkward if you are on your own as you need a code to get into the parking lot - worth ringing in advance, parking outside the hotel is very restricted).
Service was very good and the rooms were very clean and modern.
Breakfast was in the basement level but had good choice.
The hotel is surrounded by some very good bars and restaurants, all offer food and drink at very good prices, so no need to eat in the hotel.
I would definitely stay here again for either a business or personal trip.

This was a great hotel. The lobby decor is pretty dated but it’s a nice location, and had a nice firm but comfy bed, lots of pillows and towels, and very good air conditioning which we needed during an unseasonable heat spell.

Property was in a good location.20 min walk to station and 15 min walk to townhall. Lobby is impressive. We booked a double bed, but unfortunately got 2 single beds pushed together. We requested a room with a view, and got a window looking onto a wall.

Unfortunately the roof top terrace was closed, not sure why though. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, although when originally booking via ebookers did not realise it was an extra charge!

Did request tea making facilities for the room as they are not standard which was easily accommodated. Result!!

Overall not a bad stay, although not sure it was worth the price?

Fui con mi pareja y estuvimos dos noches. Todo ha sido estupendo:

El check-in rápido y el personal de recepción muy amable, el desayuno variado y el personal ha estado super atento y reponiendo todo al momento.

Además nos hicieron “upgrade” a una suite gratis con cama king size y bañera de hidromasaje. Al llegar a la habitación también había unas chocolatinas y botellas de agua. Igualmente, nos han dado unas botellas de agua al hacer el check out con una nota para felicitarnos las fiestas de Navidad, un bonito detalle que no esperábamos.

El único “pero” que hemos encontrado es el vino que se ofrece en el minibar de la habitación. Es una botella de Rioja que al ser barata (5’50€) decidimos probarla y la verdad es que el vino era bastante malillo. Entiendo que por ese precio no iba a ser de gran calidad pero como sugerencia ofrecería un vino un poquito mejor aunque supusiese subir un poquitín el precio ya que la habitación, el hotel y la ocasión lo merece.

Muchas gracias por todo! Si volvemos a Ourense repetiremos.

Nice hotel in good location

The hotel was perfect for our needs, it was clean, pleasant and in a good location. We had a car and were recommended a parking nearby as their own parking only fits small cars. The rate was reasonable and worth not struggling to park our rental. Hotel staff were very helpful and cordial, we would definitely stay there again. The only downside our room had was very little clothes storage aside from the closet.

A great first stay at NH Hotels

My room was really sleek. They have a variety of decor styles.. My room had a very spacious sleep area with recessed lighting and a very modern bathroom.
A great full-length retro mirror at the room entrance. The exterior wall facing the street was made of stone blocks, a tribute to when this area was part of the Roman Empire. An old bridge nearby dates back to that era. Good selection of complimentary coffees and teas. A mini bar for purchases.
The TV had CNBC and Bloomberg News in English, among many Spanish stations and some in German.
The modern/retro lobby seating area has complimentary coffee/tea/small cakes available at all times, self-service.
NH Hotels are one of the bigger hotel chains in Spain, if not the biggest.
They also operate in other countries in Europe, South America, etc.
The hotel is right in the middle of the city, with plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. within walking distance. This is not a huge city, so any tourist attraction that you might want to visit is fairly close.
Staff are all friendly and professional.

Arriving in the lobby is delightful- beautiful, fun furniture, quirky features, and quality free refreshments (including pastries, coffee and sweeties!). The staff are warm, welcoming and responsive to our requests- the check in was quick and efficient.

The room is well appointed and reflected the quality decor and facilities elsewhere- coffee machine and kettle, together with a (paid) selection of snacks and further refreshments. The bathroom had a fabulous shower, an intriguing blind which connected to the bedroom, and quality complimentary soaps etc. (and lovely, fluffy bathrobes). I should point out- our room was at the front of the hotel (with a little balcony over the street), and it was possible to hear traffic through the night (and i think the bin men at one point?!)- not a major issue, but if you're a very light sleeper you might need ear plugs.

The free 24hr spa was an added, delicious bonus- a snug sauna,small gym, and the piece da resistance- a spa/plunge pool with waterfall wall!!

We hit a minor issue on checkout, where breakfasts had been mistakenly charged to our room, but it was addressed smoothly and without any embarrassment- perfectly done.

All in all a great place for a weekend away, would definitely book again.

Hotel rooms were very nice. Feels like a modern boutique hotel. Internet was very spotty and connection kept dropping. The hot tub is gorgeous, however the temperature was too cold to make it enjoyable and they would not increase the temperature which was disappointing. Rooftop bar was great. Overall a nice stay, but I would like the hotel to fix their WiFi and give guests control of the temperature of the hot tub.

It was 29C, but we were told that the roof terrace was closed and there was no aircon because it wasn't summer. The staff we not able to explain why they could not turn it on. Also, the menu is only room service and they only had some salads and sandwiches.
The room was clean and comfortable, as was the rest of the hotel. Ten minute walk to the old town.

Very comfortable stay

Stayed here for 3 nights to explore Ourense and surrounding areas. It was convenient with a car since they had parking (8 euro a day). It was about a 15 minute walk to the old town, conveniently located near a grocery store and a few tapas bars and cafes. Quiet, clean, and well located, I would stay here again.

Some aspects excellent and some aspects poor

Reception staff extremely helpful,friendly and professional. Good materials used to refurbish hotel but poor design insome ways. Little space for toiletries in bathroom, slippery shower tray, uncomfortable chair and only one, small room. Bed comfortable but could improve pillows. Poor facilities - no bar despite advertising that there was one. Terrace bar closed at 12.45 p.m. -when is it open? Was there a restaurant - we never saw one. No decent restaurant near hotel. The one we found was terrible. Parking terrible because very difficult to manoeuvre car into it without damage. In some ways the hotel was lovely but I wouldn't recommend it.
