I enjoy staying at the Regency Hotel whenever I am in town. The hotel is clean, staff is great and it’s in a good location.

I stayed two days came from out of town for a graduation and once I checked in, the girl at check-in counter was not very helpful and not very courteous. She definitely did not make me feel welcomed there. Also it was a bit pricey considering that the rooms look a little out dated. My room wasn’t cleaned the best but it was ok. The pros were the beds are comfortable and it was close to where I was going.

We had a somewhat complex situation due to extending our stay from 1 night to 3. This seemed to confuse evening desk staff, who was also perfunctory to the point of rudeness, although the day staff were very competent, helpful and pleasant.

We've been staying in the same hotel when we're in the area! Staff are friendly and the place is clean. We love the game room and the pool. Hot tub was big. The gym is well equipt. Breakfast is normal. Rooms are clean. The cookies at the front desk are a nice touch! Only 2 things to point out: They didn't have hot chocolate this time. And our shower head seems to be clogged. Still, all good!

The room was in principle adequate as an executive suite. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning and refreshing daily, but that's about where it ends. The pull out mattress was so old and worn out it was not sleep appropriate- springs were so pronounced and jutting into us and the sling holding the springs was broken and kept coming unhinged. The bathroom fan did not work, resulting in the bathroom being extremely steamy when showering and blow drying hair took triple time due to this- then the steam steamed up the entire hotel room. The tub drain did not hold the water in the tub- which is in this room called a soaking tub. How can one soak if the water is constantly draining? The couch and chairs in the room could use a good cleaning as there were visible spots of stain. I came to town for a significant surgery at UofM hospital for this stay. This is usually a hotel that works with the hospital on rates for family who is coming to town for this reason. Needless to say because this was commencement weekend the hotel did not offer or honor any UofM hospital rates and I had to pay basically triple the price for this room that is normally offered. I stayed at hospital most of the time, only slept/returned to room at night, was focused on my mom. Otherwise I would have complained at the hotel. I usually do not leave reviews but highly disappointed in this hotel, from being money hungry and not supporting patient's families with reasonable rates to the condition of the 'suite'

The staff were excellent, I forgot a water bottle and they sent it back to my house. The room was clean, the pool was enjoyable and I loved the upstairs pool table shuffleboard and foosball table along with checkers boards. The breakfast was enjoyable and I liked how it often switched around per night from biscuits to waffles. I enjoyed the fact that it is near the university of Michigan and is in close proximity to restaurants like Bob Evans and Red lobster. I appreciated the fact that whenever I was making tea i kept running out of water and the staff kept refilling the water. I enjoyed the fact that the staff brought out cookies to the front desk that they baked themselves. Overall great experience and if anyone is in the area or are visiting family members at the university of Michigan I 100% suggest going there

There was the repeated noise from some people jumping up and down on the floor and running around. And it was past 9 pm. I called front desk a couple of times and they said they will investigate but the noise kept going. They should have put families with young children on the GF. There are only two floors to the hotel. Previous stay, we were on the 2/f. I do love that it's no pets and no smoking hotel.

It is so convenient that there is an option to choose a room with a bedroom that has doors to the living room. King bed was comfy and spacious. This is a terrific feature, which makes it a top pick to return. The location of the hotel is spot on. Quick to AA and Ypsi. Great shops nearby too. The negative side...the rooms, bathroom are dated, sofa is stained and old, and the hallway always smells of weed at night from other people who stay at the hotel.

Wish they had salsa. Nice room & pool area looks nice. Pretty gardens, but it's too early for anything to bloom & it's raining and chilly. Quiet, comfy bed (some sort of mattress topper and plenty of pillows and blankets. Nice Dove bathroom items. Overall really nice place. Maybe not 100% clean, we did find a few hairs and carpets have some worn or stained areas. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

While staff was as helpful as they could be, the amenities were limited. We had to move rooms two times for a quiet room that didn’t face directly into cars in the parking lot. The floor wasn’t properly vacuumed in our room and we could hear everything above us. We will not be going back.
