I would give a 4.5* if I could - overall we loved our stay here, the resort has excellent facilities for families - we loved the water park (adults included) and the games/arcade room which was perfect to end the night or escape the sun!

Couple of things that docked points - depending on where your villa is, you have to order a buggy to pick you up. Sometimes it’s quick, sometimes you’re waiting up to 7-10mins - that was a tad frustrating esp with a toddler. Also the accessibility around the pool to restaurant / bathroom is only one bridge over the pool, so if you’re on the other side it’s quite a walk - they should have QR codes or staff at different check points to order from. The main room and second room are on opposite ends of the villa, so not ideal if you have young kids, our toddler ended up sleeping in our room and the kitchen space is also separate which isn’t ideal - so layout is a bit off but not a deal breaker!

Otherwise the rooms were great! Loved having the private pool too!

The property is vast and has a great beach. The breakfast buffet was extremely impressive, with wonderful authentic food and great variety. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with private pool. The rooms were large and comfortable and easily fit our group of 8 people. The furnishings in and around are villa were looking worn and tired. The bathroom tiles had mold, stains on the couch and carpet, and there were rodent droppings behind the television. The pictures are very impressive, so it was a bit of a let down in person. It just doesn't have that 4/5 star aspect in every area. Service in the restaurants can be very slow as well, even though they are all very warm and welcoming.

The resort needs to manage the sun beds better,
It seem to be the thing to do, was to go out at breakfast and put a towel in a sun bed, but not go and use the sun bed until later in the day,
It was sad to see most Sun beds with towel, but most not being used by guest, but other guest wanting to use them, but couldn’t
Restaurant were ok, breakfast had lots of verity
But was not hot food, also very busy at breakfast, and hard to get a hot tea
Beach had a lot of garbage on it and in the water, staff spent all day clearing up garbage, it really was not good, when you are swimming in the ocean, beside a condom, the hotel worked hard to keep the beach clean
The water park was fun, kids and adults enjoyed it
Food and drinks were expensive, at the hotel

Villa had a pool, looked nice, but was full of bugs, asked hotel to clean pool and they did a good job

Not many of the hotel staff speak English, so use phone to translate

Over all, we had fun, enjoyed the time spent here, but feel like it could have been better

This review is based on what I felt was such a lack of consideration for our experience. We'd planned this trip for a year, and 3/6 days there was completely impacted by the hotel outsourcing itself to a huge wedding that ran for several days. All facilities and amenities were impacted. Staff were clearly stressed, and my family and I felt the intensity of the experience for everyone. I have no doubt this is an excellent resort, but the fact that the beach and pool were populated by structures and wedding paraphenalia, impacting everyone else, was in my opinion not only disappointing, but unethical. I do wish to thank personally the manager of wedding event, Rene, who did his best to care for the experience of people not part of the wedding. Rene was professional and kind, and greatly improved what had started as a very disappointing experience for this first half of the trip. I would implore New World to deliver the experience it contracts for a sizeable payment, which describes an experience not at all commensurate with our experience, or to inform paying customers such as ourselves that the experience would be significantly compromised. We would never have stayed at New World if we'd been informed prior.

Beautiful 5 Star resort. Our pool villas were immaculate. The beach was outstanding and the pool was massive. I loved the efficiency of the buggy’s driving us around this huge resort. The breakfast buffet was next level. Everything was beautiful except for the prices of food and drinks within the resort. After spending two weeks in other parts of Vietnam, it was a rude shock to see the prices set by this resort. Daylight robbery! As lovely as this resort was, I will not be returning as it lacked any Vietnamese authenticity. It was just another 5 star resort without much character.

There were red ants in our villa and we showed it to the staff multiple times. After so much of back and forth they finally moved us to a new villa.
Being vegetarians they had limited options for us and we were not allowed to order in via grab also. That was a bummer. Other than that, everything was good!

Overall it’s ok but not the best

The staff were friendly and the food at the restaurants was generally good. However, the dinner dining options were too limited, which was disappointing, and although the villa had a kitchen, it required an extra fee to use it, so I didn’t understand the point of having one.

Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The common areas, such as the living room floor, dining table, and sink area, didn’t feel properly cleaned, and it seemed as though the individual rooms and bathroom floors were hardly cleaned at all. The toilet wasn’t cleaned daily, and when the shower gel in the shower ran out, even though it was left on the floor, it wasn’t refilled for several days. The pool water quality also wasn’t very good. On top of that, the coffee pot was nasty, with white mold inside that looked like it had been there for weeks.

Another challenge was that the staff spoke very little English, which made it difficult to communicate our needs. Overall, staying there wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t a very comfortable trip either.

It was an amazing property. The breakfast that was included was top notch and had so many different options. The staff were friendly. The pool was nice and the beach was wonderful. The sand was very soft and my kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. There was really no dining options around the area except for the resort and after being in other areas in Vietnam where food was very cheap, the pricing at the hotel seemed high although it was still cheaper that what we would pay in the US. Over all, the villa was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay.

We had a lovely stay in a premium pool villa for 3 nights. The villas are spacious, the staff are friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and the beach was lovely. There are a few reasons I didn't rate this more highly. No off site food or beverage is allowed and there is a charge for using the kitchen in the villa that you paid to stay in. These are crazy rules, made worse by very overpriced food and drinks. We opted to leave the resort for lunch and dinner and eat at a different restaurant for each meal at the various places that were within walking distance as they had great food options at a reasonable price. We also went to go paddleboarding only to find there are only two that are a bit dated and they only had one paddle. The villa itself had a dingy shower, old leaves piled up all over the patio, and it's as if the walls were dirty, particularly around switches and other high traffic areas, and the sofa was stained. We had a lovely stay as we kept to ourselves and used our private pool, but I'd simply expect more from a 5 star resort.

This resort has many facilities that cater for the family in particularly families with children. Each villa has its privacy and is very spacious! The spa services is excellent. I enjoyed my body treatment in a luxurious and quiet private room. The therapist is great too. Her techniques is gentle but right to the pressures I preferred!

The property was excellent and near the cable car ride to Hong Thom. The rooms were clean and nice and the pool was great and big. It’s also next to the beach so you have swim options. However the night market near by doesn’t give much option and neither is there much to do outside of the resort. The breakfast dining was food but lunch and dinner at the resort is actually quite bad. Meats were chewy and dinner option at the buffet was not much for the $900k dong that you pay. We tried the restaurant inside the resort called Lua and that was also pretty bad. The food was bland and not good.

We had a fabulous stay at the New World Resort Phu Quoc.

Pros: The beach is absolutely stunning and the villas are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was incredible, we loved that it was slightly different every day. Happy hour is good value and generally all of the staff are eager to please.

Cons: Food and drink prices are very expensive for Vietnam, almost on London levels which was a shock after travelling here from a 5 star hotel in Hoi An where spa/food/drinks prices were roughly half those here. Too many rules - e.g. bikes can’t be taken outside the property. Why not? At other hotels we stayed at on our trip they could be taken anywhere, where the roads were far less quiet! My husband got chased down the road by security. Likewise towels could not be taken further along the beach etc. There was no flexibility either, e.g. we had half an hour to kill before we could check in so our children wanted to use the giant pool flamingo for 30 mins, but the staff were adamant we had to pay for an hour and it was not possible to pay half for the time we actually wanted to use it. No outside food allowed to be taken into bills etc etc. These little niggles were quite irritating and don’t make for a relaxing holiday. However, we still loved the hotel and really enjoyed our stay.

This resort was exceptional. If you're debating between resorts, go with this one. Beautiful property: infinity pool overlooking the beach, private pools in the villa. There are many things you can do. They have bikes you can ride around the property with, kayaks to kayak around the water, volleyball to play on the beach, and more. It is a very clean property. The thing we love most about this resort was the customer service. They are beyond amazing and very accommodating. Highly highly recommend.

- Breakfasts and dinners
- Condition of rooms, pools, restaurant, beach, Gym, decoration of the internal territory (beatiful and neat throughout)
- Gym is well equipped
- Design of the villa and other buildings
- Excellent room service, restaurant service, near pool service
- All staff has English at good level

What can be improved:
- communication at check-in. The staff member spent a few minutes talking about how many people is allowed to stay in our villa, that we cannot use the kitchen or we would be charged, that we can't bring food from external restaurants to the room, that we can't bring drinks that are not purchased in the hotel or we gonna be fined. This was very confusing and unpleasant to hear about charges or fines in the beginning of our stay at check-in. Surely there is a better way to communicate this
- Only 1 restaurant was opened for dinner. Really strange for such a big hotel
- Would be good to have bikes for 5-8 yo kids
- Would be good to have more physical activities (yoga was good, but not enough)

Overall our stay was great!

The first thing the resort did to ruin our holiday mood was checking us into a villa that still had guests staying there. It was a very awkward experience having other guests telling us to leave our allocated villa and seeing their personal belongings in the rooms. The second thing the resort did was getting our food orders wrong when they were non-standard from the menu. The restaurant staff seemed inexperienced in serving and helping guests. When they were asked to fix the order, it took them a very long time to do it. The last thing was getting our shower drains to work properly. We called a serviceman out but after looking at the drains for some time he couldnt fix it and claimed the design of the drains couldn't handle the volume of water that we used in our showers. We had to have dripping showers so as to not flood our shower rooms.

The good things about the resort are the kids pool with water slides, my son absolutely loved it, the mega big adults pool and the white sand beach.

For the costs of staying at this hotel, we felt it was not worth it given all the faults we experienced.

Dislikes:
At check-in, being told no outside food of any kind is allowed.
Schedule times for pick-up/drop-off airport shuttle are not very convenient.
Taxi from airport to resort is 300k. Resort charges 3x that rate (900k) for same service in private car.
Some dinning room staff had limited English language skills making it difficult to communicate.

The management organization booking for the room , terrible, staff not training , we have book 2 villa in 2 month’s advance bit request to have the room next each other , but management did not take action . Other room I book for 5 night , but they change me different for 3 time , because they do not manage to keep the room at beach front . I do not recommending anyone stay here .

L’hôtel est beau et grand. Le staff est super gentil et très professionnel…Par contre faites attention en réservant car c’est des villas avec des chambres séparés incluant leurs salles de bains respectives mais il y’a une cuisine, un salon et une mini- piscine partagés donc vous serez un peu en colocation. Privilégiez les maisons indépendantes avec piscine privée. Le dernier bémol est que à gauche de l’hôtel ill y’a une sortie d’eaux usées qui déverse directement dans la mer donc la mer n’est pas très claire. Elle est y beaucoup plus coté mariott hotel

체크인시간도 늦었고, 어떠한 안내없이 로비에서 커피먹고잇으라며 대기했습니다. 방 준비가 안되었던 이유에 대해서도 설명하지않고, 그냥 미안하다. 방키여기있다. 리조트에 대한 기본적인 안내조차 하지 않았습니다. 체크인이 거의 1시간 남짓 걸렷던것같습니다.

그러나 룸크리닝 시간이 일관적이지 않고, 수건을 제때 비치해주지않아서 여러번 전화해서 요청해야했습니다.
그리고 조식 메뉴가 많지 않습니다. 4박을 묶었는데 음식이 질렸어요.
그치만 수영장과 해변만으로도 충분히 올만한 가치가 있습니다

Jättefint resort beläget vid en mycket fin strand. Villorna är både fina och välskötta och området som helhet ger ett lyxigt och avkopplande intryck. Personalen är trevlig och tillmötesgående, men tyvärr är engelskkunskaperna bristfälliga, vilket drar ner servicenivån avsevärt och ibland gör det svårt att få hjälp. Det är också väldigt svårt att få tag i solstolar på stranden, vilket är ett minus. I övrigt är vi väldigt nöjda med vistelsen och har haft en härlig semester.

전용 해변도 깨끗하게 관리되어서 바다를 즐기기에도 좋았습니다.

日本人スタッフは1人もいませんが、ヴィラはとても綺麗で広く感動しました。施設内はかなり広くバギーで移動しますが、呼ぶとスタッフがバギーで迎えに来てくれます。中は広くプライベートビーチやプール、レストランもいくつかありホテルの外に出なくても良い所が
スタッフは皆さん笑顔でとても親切でした。
困った時も早急に対応してくれました。
また絶対に来たいホテルの1つになりました。
日本人も沢山利用して欲しいです。

This hotel is incredible! The villas are top quality, beautiful pool, very nice beach, good food and drinks. The staff is very helpful and friendly, in particular the Food and Beverages director René who helped us a lot as our reservation in an other hotel has been cancelled last minute and the island. René with Steven saved our holiday and did everything for us to enjoy our time in the resort. I truly recommend this resort.

Free tickets of love of the sea and buggy for transportation within resort provided. However, not much choice for outdoor activities. More of a family friendly resort rather than a resort for adults.
