We always love staying at Le Cristal de Jade when visiting Chamonix; it’s our go-to place! The property is beautifully maintained, and the pool area is a wonderful spot to relax after a day out in the mountains.
One area for improvement would be ensuring the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before check-in. During our last stay, we noticed it wasn’t as spotless as we’ve come to expect. A little more attention to detail would make the experience even better.

An apartment hotel designed like a country cottage.
The apartment was very spacious and very comfortable.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
Right in front of the hotel there is a huge supermarket where you can find everything you need.

The hotel is located right next to the cable car that goes up to l'Aiguille du midi

Staff at Reception are very pleasant but it is a bit slow as there is only one poor employee that seems to be doing the job of many, checking in, answering the phones, minding the bar and serving drinks and also bringing items to your room if needed like cots etc. Reception completely shuts outside of the hours of 8am-8pm you can’t even get into the area, dread to think what would happen if you lost your room key? We had a medical issue with one of our children and needed advice on who to call however it was past 8pm and there wasn’t even an answer on the telephone.
I had asked for a cot and iron prior to my arrival, neither of which were there so we had to wait with a very restless 4 month old before we could get him off to bed
We were looking onto the road which was very loud during the night. However the room was nice, small things like staining on the walls and curtains could be addressed but otherwise clean and tidy. Bear in mind if you’re planning on using the sofa bed it comes out as two single beds with quite a large gap down the middle so would not be suitable for small children

This was my second time here (and soon I'm staying here for the third time). The property is immaculate and an absolute steal for the very reasonable pricing. Apartments are spacious, have a nice chaltet feel and cosiness yet very modern, balconies are large, and free spa facilities are great (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, pool).
The frontdesk is very helpful and transparent. Mr. Phillipe was very responsive even before we reached and made sure we had the best possible apartment exactly matching the very specific requirements I had requested for (unobstructed view of Mt. Blanc and Les Bossons glacier). Simialarly Mr. Josquin was also very patient in answering our queries and helping us plan our days.
Lastly, the location is awesome. You are within 500mts from village main street with loads of dining and shopping options. Aguille du Midi cable car and train station are just steps away. The free parking is a bonus.

Fantastic location close to the lift and a short walk to town. The facility offers morning bakery deliveries and nice steam room and sauna access. Staff were friendly and very helpful and rooms were clean and spacious. Kitchenette was well equipped for cooking at home but lacked essentials like salt and pepper.

Fantastic stay - would absolutely return. Friendly helpful staff, the rooms were well equipped to cook and very comfortable. I used the spa everyday and can’t complain. Pool is a little cold but fine once you’re in. Gym has excellent quality equipment (although a tad warm in there!)

Stayed for a week in mid-September. Lots to like, location, very friendly staff, roomy and clean apartment, and very well equipped kitchen.
However, we could hear a small scratching sound in the wall above our bed from the first night. After 2 nights went to talk to staff about and we were told there is a termite (or something similar) infestation!! We were told there is nothing to do until the place is closed in November and fumigated. With all the scratching in the walls, it was quite hard to sleep or have a relaxing evening on the couch.
I get that the staff couldn't do anything, but this doesn't seem like 5-star service. It would have been great if they let us know in advance or offered some kind of compensation.
I would highly reconsider if you are planning on staying here before November.

This was a beautiful property and we loved our stay. It was in a great area with easy walking access to everything in Chamonix. Our porch had a view of the mountains and the actual unit was clean, well designed and felt new. The staff were friendly and helpful and the property had a workout room we were able to use as well. We would stay here again!

The location is just great. The staff at the residence are very kind and ready to help. Big kudos to “Arnaud” at the reception, he is amazing, caring, kind and his advices were very beneficial during our stay.
I will take a point away because of the WiFi. Connection isn’t that great and if you’re planning on working at night as I did, you might be disappointed. It is just a detail and I’m sure it can be fixed.

Loved this hotel. One of the nicer ones in Chamonix. Also love the location. Right next to the downtown area, grocery stores near by. Right next to all the main ski areas and bus stops. Highly recommend!

Incredibly happy with our stay in Chamonix with Le Cristal de Jade. My wife and I spent a week in an apartment here for our honeymoon. I couldn’t be more impressed with the staff. They continuously went out of their way to help us out during the stay. The room was just as expected and we had plenty of room for us to relax after a day of skiing. The spa was great as well. We booked a couples sports massage that was much needed after 2 weeks straight of skiing and touring in Switzerland and France. We will be back for sure. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon so special!

The property had termites and bugs in it. They skittered all night and made it impossible to sleep. With the front-desk staff gone after 8PM there was no way to get another room. I learned at check-out they knew about the infestation and put us in the room with the insects anyway. They wouldn't refund because it was 'booked through expedia'. Awful sleep, gross sleeping in a building crawling with bugs.

Great location with spacious, upscale apartments. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was pretty well equipped (knives were in poor shape but replaced next day upon request). We enjoyed the spa after a few days of long hikes. Only minor complaint was noise (voices, footsteps, etc) from adjacent (next door and above) apartments or road/service crews working directly outside of our unit.

Woman at the front desk is extremely unfriendly. The front desk likes to scold guests by explaining they’re not a hotel and that we cannot expect things like fresh towels, toilet paper or room service. You’re made to feel like an unwelcome guest in a grumpy family’s home. Nice enough home; bad vibes.

Compared to typical ski resorts which tend to be quite basic in style , the hotel and rooms are decorated beautifully, very ambient albeit the 1 bedroom room we stayed in was a little on the small side compared to what appears in the images. The spa area is really nice, particularly the baby pool. We had ours of fun in there. The jacuzzi tub is heated to 34degs, could do with being a little warmer. Location was ok, 5-10 mins walk to town.
Cons: amenities and services are hugely lacking. Everything closes down at 8pm including reception and spa area and so no communal area to socialise in. Luckily we discovered heliopic hotel next door which has amazing communal space. We were in there every night ordering drinks and desserts. Fab kids space, book wall, games, fireplace.
Whilst the hotel offered to order bakery if ordered the night before for pick up from reception, the cut off at 6.30pm was inconvenient and non lenient. The most surprising and frankly speaking ridiculous request was for guests to take out the trash outside the hotel before checking out.
Also reception communication wasn’t the best, didn’t get a lot of information on where best to go with a toddler , even being sent to non suitable or closed places. A 5* hotel but 2* service and amenities.
Overall we got the hang of things and hotel heliopic next door was our saving grace. Would we come back? Possibly but only if offered at a fraction of the price .

This was our second stay at Cristal du Jade. Out of peak season these spacious and beautiful apartments are great value. Very nice indoor pool and spa facilities are just the ticket after a day hiking in the shadow of Mont Blanc. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Philippe. Underground parking is a bonus too. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with views of Mont Blanc. It looked like every apartment would have mountain views. The apartment was beautifully decorated and the views and balcony were amazing. The pool etc was amazing and the whole building was beautiful and clean. The apartments are located right next to the gondola and about a 5 minute walk into the very centre of Chamonix. The only downside was the deposit amount. Be aware you need to leave a 500 euro deposit, which is a huge amount of money to be without for the stay. Although, it was refunded and back in our account a few days after check out, I think it's a little excessive. Also, the WiFi wasn't great which was annoying, but not a huge inconvenience. The hotel is kind of difficult to find and access with a car when arriving, so I think better instructions are needed on how to find the hotel and which direction to come into Chamonix.

Amazing stay. We picked this hotel because it was affordable and had a private bedroom. When we arrived they informed us that they had upgraded our family of 3 to a two bedroom apartment instead of a one bedroom at no additional charge. The apartment was beautiful. Only downside was the poor internet, when it was on it was good but it kept going off. If you need it to plan your day using the internet,don't bother staying here.. The Manager (Mr Misery) just kept giving lame excuses and wasn't bothered in trying to get it sorted. We had different reasons from everyone as to why it wasn't working.

The apartment was incredible for our family of 5. Gorgeous bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, 2 balconies! Plenty of space and nicely decorated. Location couldn’t be beat. Less than 5 minutes walk to our bus stop, base of telepherique right out our window, plenty of restaurants, bakeries and shops within walking distance. Pool facilities we fantastic. We even borrowed a fondue pot from reception to use in our apartment! Would HIGHLY recommend this place!

Highly recommend, loved our apartment, great location too. Facilities top notch, kitchen is very well equipped. Bathroom is divine, hugh bath. Only issue was our apartment was overlooking the main road, noise of traffic at night and in the morning was noisy enough. But it didnt hamper our experience.

We loved the accomodation. As a family of 5 our two daughters shared a twin room and our son used the sofa bed, which was exceptionally comfortable. Our room was incredibly comfortable with an exceptional ensuite with rain shower. The outdoor terrace was fabulous and the kitchen facilities were first class ( except for our dishwasher that did not work but this was a minor issue for us as we were only there for 2 nights). Loved the pool, spa and steam room. Room was immaculate. Service at the front desk was excellent. Excellent location, highly recommend would return again.

They sent me an email two days before check-in to check the details of our stay, especially they wanted to make sure if I arrive before 8pm -- when the reception closes -- and told me they would give me instructions on how to check-in if I arrive after 8pm. I arrived before 8pm and the receptionist showed me the room and told me details like how to use the kitchen.

But they say (I didn't use any of these services) that they order the bread for breakfast, I could order grocery online then it will be delivered to the apartment, and they lend cooking devices for raclette, fondue, or waffle.
The indoor heated pool was clean and well maintained. They also have kids pool (about 30cm deep?) and hot tubs.

Fantastic apartment really well kitted out with all modern appliances. lovely helpful staff and wonderful pool and spa facilities. Location wise it’s perfect for the Aiguille du Midi being right next door but to get to Les Planards and Brevent lifts you will need the Chamonix complementary number 14 bus which stops right outside the property every 20 minutes.

The property and its furnishings were all modern, lovely amenities the pool and spa area really helped after a long day on the slopes. The whole place was really lovely. Also a special mention to Philipe who was on reception. Nothing was to much trouble for him he really made us feel comfortable and looked after all our needs was very kind. He is an asset to the company.

I admit that the hotel reception and manager were tentative of the situation, but no solution was found. Fabulous place we loved it. So much so we are coming back again in 6 weeks. Only one issue was our card card stopped working when we came back up from the pool in only robes. And reception had gone home. We were locked out for short time before another guest helped locate a mainantence man. Emergency numbers to include hotel staff would help in these circumstances in future. We tried the police but they laughed and said it wasn’t an emergency :)
