The room was spotless and very spacious. We will consider to go back. Staff are very professional and courteous as well.

But I think its time to upgrade their laundry area and replace both washing machine and the dryer.
To have at least 2 sets for each unit so there will be no longer wait especially if the guest is checking out early in the morning wanting to wear or pack clean/dry clothes. I checked at the front desk to asked if they have a back up dryer and said they only have 1 which is unfortunately not working properly so I end up sending my husband to go outside at 1am just to look for nearest coin laundry so our clothes will be dry properly before putting it back it our luggage.
Lesson learned, before washing the clothes, make sure the dryer is working first and able to dry all your washed and wet clothes in time.

Bathroom didn't smell great, which I think was due to no seal around bath (you could see mould down the edge) otherwise very clean and good service.

We only stayed here 1 night, but wish it was more. We stayed 2nights in Namba, Dotonbori area. Would have preferred 2 nights here and 1 in Dotonbori. This is located right next to the zoo and a decent park to walk. We caught the train to Team labs gardens, which was pretty cool, watched some soccer, and walked that park as well. Not as touristy as Dotonbori which was we liked the most.
The hotel rooms were decent / small, with a small shower like normal but it was clean and had decent pillows (which you will understand later) Breakfast was included and was okay.

The hotel was excellent, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and it was within walking distance to all the tourist attractions and restaurants. There was a great selection at the morning buffet breakfast. However, the bathroom was a bit small for an average-sized adult. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would stay there again if I’m in the area.

A great home base for our brief stay in Osaka

Wonderful service at the hotel and a great location just a few minutes walk from the Midosuji line and a ~15-minute walk from Tennōji station for more local access.

For ¥1100 per adult (~$7.44 as of Aug 2025), a delicious hot breakfast buffet can be included.

There is a coin-op laundry facility on the 2nd floor with 2 washers and 1 dryer.

After check out we asked front desk about airport limousine bus to kansai. She said Tennoji-we taxi there to find out there is no bus service after wasting time looking for the bus terminal. I had an 80 year old uncle with me who was not able to walk very far. We ended paying 20,000 yen twice since there was 5 of us with 8 pieces of luggage (2 taxis). Waste of money-you need to keep up with info to pass on to your guests. Just FYI-a bus ticket to airport is only 1600 yen per person which would have cost us only 8000 yen instead of 40,000 yen. How will we be compensated for your hotels staff incompetence??

The hotel overall (location, cleanliness, near food street) is good. Just that got 1 of the front desk male staff a bit rude during speaking . I just request a garbage bag, he just reject and said NO NO! and he just speak in Japanese language with a angry face, but I can’t understand Japanese and I don’t why Japanese doesn’t want to learn even simple English as Japan a lot tourist now and some more 2025 expo in Osaka. The coffee and free donut is good taste anyway.

Really great hotel to stay at! We very much enjoyed our time here and it was right in the heart of the best food hub in Shinsekai. Highly recommend this hotel for safety as well, was located close to several metro entrances (5mins) and we felt safe here at night. Staff spoke great English and were very helpful when using luggage forwarding.

The room was neat and nice. The staff was kind and the property was clean. The treat in the lobby was really nice, and the amenities were good. My kids loved the pancakes at breakfast. The coffee at breakfast was really nice as well. The view out the window was the Toyoko inn sign haha, but also a city view. The only complaint i have is that when picking up my luggages a large rowdy tourist group came in while i was unlocking my luggages. No one seemed to be properly managing and directing them. They nearly shoved me into the luggage hole while i was unlocking my luggage to get to the amenities... Truly shocked me.

The room was fine and there was a large extra space that we ended up using as a walk-in closet but the bathroom was very small with a tiny slippery tub and a big step that made the access very awkward. Regardless, after 3 days we wanted to stay one more week in Osaka and asked to keep the room but our request was denied although we knew a room was still available. So we moved to a better hotel. Since they cater to large groups we figured they couldn’t care less about us.

The rooms are quite small for two people and the only place to hang out is on your bed. There is a small stool at the desk but that is the only seat besides the bed. There is no lounge in the lobby, either. Besides that, the hotel was very clean and tidy and the breakfast is ok. There was no fruit or fiber but two soups, pastries and bread, yogurt, pancakes, fresh hard boiled eggs and deli meat slices and coffee, tea, and juice.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and a wide variety of foods. They also had free doughnuts provided at certain hours of the day with coffee.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were provided clean towels daily, as well as toiletries. The beds were soft, as well as the pillows.

Shinsekai has a lot of games, restaurants, the Osaka tower, Tsutenkaku's Fun 'Tower Slide, a Zoo, and the metro was close by. The property was walkable, safe and friendly.

We would stay here again!

We loved our stay here! The location was in such an awesome area which was buzzing day and night, but still felt safe. Only a 5-minute walk away from Metro stations making it very convenient to get around. The staff were amazing! We had a canceled flight out of Japan and the lovely lady at reception helped us to contact the Baggage Delivery service we used to ensure everything was sorted for our new flights. We did day trips to Nara & Kyoto from here and it was a very convenient area to base ourselves from. It did take about 45 minutes to get from Shin-Osaka bullet train to here, but was an easy route. I would highly recommend this hotel.

If you're okay with a basic hotel then this is a great stay. Nothing special at all here compared to other hotels outside of the donuts in the afternoon evenings. Very simple western breakfast available. Staff are friendly and rooms are decent sized although like most hotels in Japan bathroom is small. I found it a pleasant stay.

Great area if you want to be in thick of things. Subway entrance is approximately 200 yds. The restaurant choices are extremely repeating. Lots of fried foods.

The bath room requires a 12 in step up, bathtub is extremely small and requires a 30 in step over to get in the tub. This room would a challenge for anyone with limited range of motion.

Amazing location! You are right in the middle of Shinsekai. The zoo is right being the hotel and only cost 500 yen!! Food choices are amazing. The staff is great. They will give you 2 room keys if you ask. And from 8-10pm they have free donuts!! We stayed 10 days. The room is very small but it's Japan! You will not get a better hotel for the money.

Hotel is in shinsekai. You have plenty of restaurants at your footstep. Metro is about 5 min walk. My only complaint is that the washer and dryer does not auto lock to keep your clothes from being opened from strangers. There were plenty nights where people lined up. The issue is that there was only one Dryer with 2 washers. I would suggest bagging up your clothes and wash somewhere else

Stay at this hotel 3times(used call Willows Osaka), right now under new owner, staff is friendly and nice, room is clean and bed is on the firm side. Location is close to subway station and shopping near by. Recommend if you are looking for cheap but not terrible hotel in Tennoji area.

The location was good. Many restaurants around just steps away. Just that it charged me for an extra breakfast where i specifically stated that i have 2 adults and 2 kids with their exact age typed in the system while booking the room with an upgrade of free breakfast. I already paid extra breakfast for the booking and now i have to pay additional charge for breakfast. This is kinda rip-off.
