The hotel was kept clean and the grounds maintained with beautiful plants and flowers. I was surprised with how much the guests littered on the beach, in planters and by the pool. There were trash cans everywhere! So guests could do better. There were so many fun activities on site to do from the amazing wave rider, rock climbing, lazy river, slides, high jump and beach water activities. We didn’t even make it over to the bowling or theater.

The jimmy buffet presidential suite was nothing short of amazing. It was so roomy and the best views. An extra large covered patio was wonderful to be able to escape the direct sun while still being able to enjoy the outside. It felt like we had a home with all the amenities- multiple oversized rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room and pool table. The only true issue we had with our room was that the outdoor hot tub was malfunctioning a bit; wouldn’t retain water. Even with this, it’s was worth the upgrade because of the interior living.

The service was at an acceptable average level except for one server who Immediately shined above the rest and continued to exceed our expectations and outdo his service level with each visit. We found a gem of a human and feel thankful to have met him. Ian Williams will always have a special place in my heart and created a life long memory for our family. As a mom he melted my heart by the way he treated my kids and made them feel like the most important people on earth.

I was completely disappointed with the hotel over all. Checked in to our 1st room, you read that right, the 1st room. Beautiful room don't me wrong, but put everything in the room and unpack. Walked out, to be a tourist, and realized the door didn't slam shut, like most hotel rooms do behind us. Told my husband to check the door because it didn't sound right. Just like I thought the door did close properly. Told him to close it again, this time slam it, it took two trys but it worked. Back in the room we realized the refrigerator wasn't cooling properly and the ice maker wasn't working, along with the balcony door not locking at all. After having maintenance look at all 3 issues, they decided to move us 2nd room. Used our bracelet to unlock door but you literally had to hit the handle for the door to open. So from one door issue to another. The refrigerator worked in this room, but the balcony door in this room did not lock either. Come the next morning trying to fix coffee and if you guessed it. You're right the coffee maker did not work. Called front desk and had to get that issue addressed. Spoke with a manager about all the issues we had including with us moving from one room to another causing us to miss dinner..the manager offered us a bottle of wine and $75 off of a 5 day 4 night stay. This our 1st and possible last time ever visiting this hotel. 10 out of 10 I don't recommend

The hotel was clean, many amenities, wonderful beach and Bahamas sand you’d expect. However everyday the hotel was flooded with cruise traffic, to the point there were no chairs unless you got down there early. People everywhere on the beach until around 3:00 when they’d have to leave to catch their ride (the cruise ship). Avoid the fish fry you’ll see coming in, dangerous if you have a pretty wife.

Kids had a great time. Biggest concerns are the prices but we learned to eat most of our meals at the fish fry which is just a 10 minute walk.

We spent the majority of our time around the pool. The music was a one hour playlist that repeated all day every day. I felt like I was going to lose my mind. I can't imagine how the employees feel about that

Overall, the resort itself was excellent, and I had a great experience during my stay. However, my experience outside the resort was much less enjoyable.
Food in the surrounding area was quite expensive, especially when dining with a larger group. As a party of six, we occasionally felt unwelcome at some restaurants. It’s also important to note that many establishments automatically include gratuity and VAT on the bill. Some locations may add additional fees, such as a “beach cleaning” charge, which can often be removed upon request.
For dining, I highly recommend Joey’s at Fish Fry. It was by far the best meal I had during my trip to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, I only discovered it on my last day and wish I had found it sooner.
When using taxis, don’t hesitate to negotiate fares. Many drivers set their own prices, and there are usually plenty of taxis available in the area, giving you options.
For excursions, I would suggest focusing on the swimming with pigs experience. The private beach included with many tours already offers excellent snorkeling opportunities, with plenty of fish, crabs, and even lionfish to see at no additional cost. Purchasing a pair of goggles for around $15 is all you really need to enjoy the marine life.

Despite some challenges outside the resort, the overall trip was memorable, and with a little planning, future visitors can avoid some of the common surprises.

How do I start. The front desk staff Jermain & Kessa were great. Bellman Dwayne & Avan were so helpful, Lakisha at the beachfront was awesome lawnchairs towel service umbrella, and the charismatic personality was awesome. My room was super clean and freshen everyday. I love the facility and will go back again. Excellent service.

The room on the Margaritaville side was clean, nicely decorated and view from the balcony of ships coming/going was fun. However do to some code there could only be 1 chair on the balcony…so much for watching the sunset with my husband. Be warned that the amenities, they say they have, are an extra price with very hefty price tag. Specifically cabanas, padded lounge chairs, bowling, theater, never found any mini golf. The water park and adult pool area were very nice but lack of towels was an issue. The small beach area and water park get crowded during the day when up to 7 large cruise ships are in port. Thankfully we didn’t go out until about 5pm. Also of note the area considered One Particular Harbour which has a nice pool area, sand, hammocks, event lawn, fire pit and apparently the mini golf was “off limits “ to anyone not staying in that tower! Very disappointing as the list of amenities was what drew us to book here. Also we had to ask several times for our bottled water that was supposed to be a daily inclusion. If you want a basic stay with a nice view it works.

I enjoyed my stay at Margaritaville and appreciated the welcome drink.

The decor of the room was lovely. The ocean view and view of the waterpark from my balcony were great, and I was delighted to watch the ships as they rounded the bend to head to the cruise dock, both from my bed and the balcony..

The lazy river was fun, however, the pool only reached the same level of 3 feet, which made it a little difficult for me to swim. There were slides and other fun activities at the water park and plenty of loungers.

The food was ok. The staff were cordial. The beach was clean. I recommend a stay at this resort.

We booked our non-refundable trip on Expedia. The day after we booked, we received a message from the hotel on the Expedia app stating that there would be additional charges of $68/day + 10% VAT per day. These charges should have been disclosed before we booked a non-refundable trip. The hotel was nice. We arrived to our room and the sensor on our front door was broken off. It worked still, it was just trashy looking. The food is way overpriced and the prices you see online & on the screen in your room compared to what you actually pay are off. The twin lobster tails at JWB say $80 when you look at the menu on the TV in your room & then they are $110 on the menu in the restaurant. Additional toppings on pizza at Frank & Lola’s say $1.50 each when you look at the menu on the TV in your room & then they are $3 each on the menu in the restaurant. I don’t regret booking here but I would never stay here again. The property is nice and most of the staff are too.

Very disappointed with our experience. My husband came back from our stay covered in bites that strongly resemble bed bug bites. This created a lot of stress and discomfort after what should have been a relaxing trip. Cleanliness and pest control need immediate attention. I would recommend that future guests carefully inspect their rooms and that management address this issue as soon as possible.

It’s and the description it says it’s4 pool in the hotel it’s not 4 pools on the resort the main pool it’s only 3 feet it’s basically a kids pool and it gets crowded during the day from 10 to 5 because the people from the cruise comes to this hotel so it’ll be no floats for the lazy river and get real crowded,stray dogs on the beach trying to eat your food so beware when taking food to the beach be aware at night and near the pizza shop they are rats in the shed We have to find out the hardway the hotel only cater to people that comes off the ships. They don’t answer the phone when you’re trying to get room service or get in contact with the front desk music stops when the Cruise ship leave. I tried to do a early checkout because of the dogs on the beach and was told I still will be charged an early termination fee.

10 out of 10, we enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again. Spotless resort, lots of amenities, walking distance to town, clean private beach, great service. Just note the daily resort fee, VAT and service charges. Your bill will increase exponentially by the time these charges are added on. But we knew this going in!

Margaritaville is always a great place to stay. As it is a cruise ship port, all the stores in the area around the resort shut down at 5:00pm when the ships leave. There are few restaurants and bars outside the resort. The lazy river was enjoyable, but they only had about 8 tubes for guests to share, which I thought was quite unfortunate, leaving the majority of guests to just walk the lazy river. The views and beach are stunning.

We recently stayed at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.

During the last two nights of our stay, both my partner and I developed multiple bites that were consistent with bed bug bites. We documented the bites with photos after returning home. This was especially frustrating because we were already dealing with severe sunburn, and instead of being able to rest comfortably, we continued to wake up with new itchy bites.

In addition to the hygiene issue, our overall experience was below expectations for a four-star resort:

* The in-room phone could not reliably connect to the front desk.
* Our first dining experience at Vacation Cafe was very poor. While most of the charge was eventually refunded, it left a bad impression from the start.
* When we experienced significant sunburn and discomfort, there was little practical guidance or support available from the hotel.

The most disappointing part was the hotel’s lack of response after we reported the issue through Expedia. The hotel did not provide a meaningful response to Expedia regarding our complaint.

On the positive side, Expedia’s customer service was excellent. Although the hotel was unresponsive, Expedia stepped in and issued a refund directly. I truly appreciate Expedia for taking responsibility and resolving the situation professionally.

The staff made the experience worth it. Friendly and helpful. We loved that the hotel was so close to local shops, bars and restaurants that you can walk to. Restaurants on the hotel were pricey but the food and service was good. Be aware that there is a mandatory hotel fee and a security deposit of up $200 per night.

Upon arrival after 4pm our room was not ready, they switched us to a room that was the first near the elevator which was inconvenient morning/night anyone waiting for it is talking & I had to speak to adults for singing down the hallway at night. At 6am&10pm chairs were being scraped against the floor above us. The room was clean but the fire alarm facing the bed & the green light continually flashes. If you’re a light sleeper or don’t have an eye mask it is troublesome for sleep. Communication on final cost is unclear, I was told there was nothing that would be on my bill after part of the charge dropped except anything charged to my room which was only roughly $40 but was charged all resort fees ($400+), at that time even after asking the staff before hand my bill total. Staff is friendly, the beach is well kept but I’d wear shoes as there are rusted beer caps in the sand & water. It’s a beautiful view, watching the cruise ships come to port & the sunrise is amazing. WiFi horrible.All staff I communicated with were very friendly & helpful. The different options of the water park, pool, beach, or boogie boarding make for a lot of choices of what to do. It’s by the boardwalk are with souvenirs & food. Food at the resort is pricey. $5 for a water. The bakery/coffee shop has great pastries & fruit cups at reasonable prices but the store is not. Ran out of sunscreen it was $35 for a bottle. It is a beautiful island with great people I unfortunately won’t choose here if I return.

First checking in the front best was not accommodating, the gal behind the desk seem to hate her job which did not put a good start to our vacation. I even asked about a upgrade and was completely ignored.. the servers on the other hand seem to have a better attitude. This Margaritaville is directed more towards the younger ages more than the adults,wish I would have known this beforehand.... not sure I will continue my trips with any Margaritaville hotels. The water park is packed when the cruise ships move in but after 5:00 people disappear including the businesses closing for the day. Even the hotels Bars close at 5 PM including the adult bar by the adult pool.

Loved the Margaitaville resort. Best location in Nassau. Short walk to town. Lots of excursions for all walks of life and interests. Nassau is expensive so bring your charge card. Just so you know there is very little night life in Nassau. Most of the shops close about 5pm when the cruise ships leave. The people of the Bahamas are very friendly. If you are planning on renting a car, they drive on the opposite side of the road from the USA. Felt very safe walking the streets. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel is centrally located near the city and cruise ship port which is a good/bad thing. Fun to watch the ships and easy to walk to things but can get crowded and loud. We stayed at the residences next to the hotel proper which was nice because we had a full apartment with 1 1/2 baths and could go out the ‘back door’ to the neighboring beach when our beach was crowded with day trippers from the ships. The water park attracts families of course so we avoided the area until later in the day when it was quieter. Unfortunately my (grown) daughter broke her foot using the pink water slide because the pool water is only 3 ft deep where it lets out and her foot hit the bottom very hard. She is a very average size person. We filed an incident report and while the staff was nice enough no one really seemed to care. About this or anything else really. She will have to take a LOA from work now. The housekeeping was so so and while our room wasn’t dirty it felt like it needed a thorough cleaning. The beds were way too soft and air conditioning varied between freezing and waking up in a sweat at the same temperature. The restaurant served a decent variety of food at reasonable enough prices and the hamburger was good. The ‘arcade’ is across the street from the hotel so children would need to be escorted i would suggest. Overall, it was an okay place to stay.

The service was sub par at best. We received a packet with a map of the resort, restaurant/bar hours, and events for each day. On 2 different days, the bar on the 4th floor at thE pool was closed when they should have been open. The bar on the first floor outside was also closed one day when it was supposed to be opened. The Feeding Frenzy at the pool was closed one afternoon when it was supposed to be open. My husband and I went to have dinner at Wasabi Joe's restaurant inside the resort and they were closed, even though they were supposed to be open. One morning for breakfast the toaster oven was broken so we couldn't get a hot breakfast. We were told to go to the hotel next door to get breakfast. Every time we asked about bar and restaurant hours at the front desk, we got handed another brochure of the resort and were told to refer to that for hours. I told them I was using all 3 of the brochures I was given for hours listed, yet things were constantly closed. They couldn't give an answer. The pool was out of towels. I asked 3 different people working the resort if they could restock. No luck! We ended bringing out room towels. The pool was supposed to do a 1 hr. spin wheel getting towels. The girl packed up and left 32 minutes in to this. we watched through the elevator window as we were heading down. Several times we were told the bars and restaurants were out of food and or drinks we wanted. Shower hot water was an issue. Waste of money for thousands spent! Never again!

Margaritaville in Nassau was a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel safe the entire time. The place is beautiful, with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Overall, the resort was average. It was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach was only about 150 yards of walkable beach that runs directly into a public beach with concrete docks so no long walks on the beach. The connected \"partner\" hotel, One Harbour, does not allow you to access their beach unless you are a guest at their hotel. The local shops/restaurants nearby and down Bay Street close around 5 so there is minimal to do outside of the resort. We tried to book a snorkel excursion through the resort, but it was cancelled twice. The resort does charge 25% (10% VAC and 15% gratuity) on everything you buy from them. The waterpark is very nice and kids do love it.

Margaritaville was a great stay. The upgraded our room which was a great surprise. Kids were able to go water slides and wave pool white us parents sat in the beach.
