To start the room we booked was taken by someone who extended there stay so my handicap needs were not met. We were placed in a room with a mattress that had springs sticking out everywhere we tried to endure but after night 2 our bodies couldn't handle I asked to switch rooms fast forward to 11:45 pm that night the front desk person bangs down our door like the police I was sleeping already he demanded I come to the front because we aren't supposed to be in that room I got up and went to front after being accused of lying for 5 min he looked it up and welp there it was ...the rooms smelled of smoke no matter what you did the beds are from the 90's and the night clerk is horrible I wouldn't recommend it to anyone the rooms are decent size and semi nice but not a clean and nice as they could be you have to wait until 5 pm to get towels because they are all being washed before that time so if you need a shower before leaving your room you will need to use dirty towels .. 0-10

We were not able to check-in on time - reason given was that housekeeping had not “signed off” yet. Made us late to an event as we were on a tight schedule. Once in our room, the floor in the bathroom and counters of the sink were all wet. We were only given 2 total towels for a two-night stay for 2 people. The window was broken making it drafty and loud. There was never hot water - shower or sink - it barely got luke warm. The hallways smelled like a combination of weed and a strong “deodorizer” trying to mask it. Our room was on the second floor - the people above us sounded like they were moving furniture and stomping around for hours. Across the hall, there were two rooms that were loud and obnoxious, with yelling/screaming, music, slamming doors, and running in the halls until 4am. On the second night, we were woken up at 5am with pounding on the door telling us to evacuate with no explanation. We were displaced for over a half hour, finally given the all clear - and still did not get an explanation to what happened or even just an apology from staff. We weren’t at the room much and only needed it to shower and sleep - neither of which we did much of.

The pool was closed, which was one of the reasons I chose this place.
I killed a couple cockroaches, which is not good.
Batroom was a little bit dirty.
Window cannot be completely closed, so, cold air in winter doesn't feel good, but at least the heater works.
The hallways and elevator smells like weed, maybe not the hotel's fault, but not good either if you're with family.
Most likely I won't come back again.

Although the staff was friendly, we couldn't stay. We left an hour and a half after checking in.
When in town for business, I always book a hotel with a pool and have always enjoyed my stays at Red Roof Inns. In fact, having dogs, I try to give my business to Red Roof Inns because they are pet friendly. I specifically booked this hotel for the pool and it was drained and out of order.
Lastly, the entire floor smelled of marijuana. With severe asthma, I couldn't risk staying. Not to mention, I certainly didn't want to go to my work meeting smelling like marijuana.
The staff was friendly, even the new gentleman working the front desk.
I am beyond disappointed by the condition of the room, the out of order pool and the odor that consumed the entire 3rd floor.

While checking mattress for bed bugs, saw how disgusting the beds were! Food, steins, dirt…it was gross. Mattress had big dips in it so I sank into it. Very uncomfortable. Bare basics. No bars of soap,Kleenex, no hand towels, pen, paper etc. the bathroom fan was so dusty and gross, but the shower head was good.

The place is run-down. It looks like it needed an update ten years ago, but more to the point the floor in our room was sticky. In addition, they made us give them a $100 deposit upon check in. Was it returned? Yes. Will I ever stay twice at a property that wants an additional deposit for the room? No.

Slow check-in, not really the fault of the staff. The room wasn't the cleanest, especially the bathtub and towels. The light switch in the bathroom was broken so it stayed on all night along with the loud fan.
Luckily the bed was clean enough to grab a few hours sleep, and get out of there. Which was difficult with the noise. I would not recommend unless you are low on funds.

Our stay was not the greatest. We got there and I informed the lady at the front desk that our TV did not work, which was very difficult with a toddler. She told me the maintenance guy would be up shortly hours later I called. She said she was sent him straight upstairs an hour later she let me know that he had gone home for the day finally at 9:30 at night, he knocked on the door absolutely uncalled for ridiculous.

Hot tub not in functional order. (Not made aware at either booking or check-in) we would not have booked if we knew. By the time we found out it was too late.
Floor in hallway dirty. Like dryer lint or something all over. We were close to the Landry room.
Noticed multiple windows broken. One at the end of the hallway and another in a 2nd floor room.
Towels were small.
No soap in room at all!!! Not a bar, nothing in the dispensers. Nothing.

The room was clean.

It will be very unlikely we will have a repeat stay.

The property was nasty. Staff was horrible. I was put on 3rd floor without notice and NO elevator. They didn't tell me and told me it would take \"X\" amount of time to get my $ back to be able to book elsewhere. When I went to check out staff was sleeping for 20 minutes before they woke up from me calling repeatedly to the desk as I was standing there. He proceeded to be even meaner to me. Very rude. I'm very un happy. Bathroom door didn't shut and was screwed together as well. No garbage cans or bags even. Only 2 towels for the shower and they took them and never replaced them the next day. Wasn't going 3 floors down with 3 kids to get more. Had to drag ALL my luggage up and down the stairs. It was horrible. Me er again.

Comfy beds but not pretty appearance

The beds were super soft and comfortable. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and around the faucet. Also lots of unfinished things around the hotel - bathroom light not done (but worked), fire sprinkler in bathroom not properly sealed off so sure there was way more mold above the ceiling, outlets with no covers/plates, trims, paint, etc. The pool area was not really clean but the pool water and hot tub were. Our cards also stopped working the morning we were leaving (around 8am) despite it not being checkout time yet. Made packing up kind of annoying.

I've never had a more interesting and fun stay at a hotel. The staff and guests are all super friendly and helpful. I'd like to inquire about possibly renting a room indefinitely as a home away from home. I was wandering around and chatting with the employees too much but they understood that I was bored at night and politely went back to doing their job. I miss being there already and I don't think I've ever thought that about a hotel before lol. Thanks for everything!

Decent hotel, rough part of town

The staff was courteous and the room was pretty decent, be forewarned though that the area where the hotel is located is kind of sketchy so it's not the safest stay you'll have. On about the third or fourth day of my stay there was an incident in the lobby where during the night a glass door was shattered, luckily I was in my room woth the door secured so didn't notice until I left in the morning to visit family(which is why I was on the trip.

Overall if you're travelling solo and are cautious of your surroundings this can be a good inexpensive hotel to stay at, if you are travelling with your family I'd consider a hotel in a safer part of town.

Overall I rate my 3-day experience (Jul 18-20, 2024)as average...but barely.
The hotel is under some nice renovation, which explains some of the noise and dirtiness. However, I had to change rooms twice due to the toilet was not working in my first room and the television remote did not work in my second room.
When I finally got a room, other than the constant noise of a leaking toilet, the room was nice and comfortable....large refrigerator, nice sink and microwave, along with a clean bathroom. There was a small pile of dirt on the closet area floor, due to renovations.
The fitness center was under renovation so that was a little disappointing along with only coffee being served in the dining area. The staff was nice and friendly, however.
This hotel definitely needs to work on cleanliness, despite renovations going on. I would not recommend staying there at this point, until everything is completed.

Worst hotel ever!!! Beside the pool actually being a heated pool and the hot tube being hot. The bathrooms in the pool area lights wouldn't turn on so I had to use my phone to be able to pee. The 2 ladies at the front desk said when I was checking in that they only had one room left and they had previously tried to put another couple in there, but they wanted to be moved because the beds sheets were dirty, and they said \"we don't know how to change the bedsheets\" so you want me to believe you never change bedsheets in your entire life at home? They don't even have a continental breakfast not even a coall continental breakfast no continental breakfast at all. But they got a goddamn toaster in the lobby in a microwave. Our room has a kitchen in it. They have no kitchen supplies. For the money I paid I could've stayed somewhere better.

We were coming in late for a quick overnight stay. We were greeted by friendly staff. After confirming our reservation, we were informed we needed $100 cash for a damage deposit. Entering our room, the thermostat was not working, the fire alarm was hanging from the wall by wires, and the room and bedding smelled like marijuana. The hotel advertised a breakfast but that was not available, not even hot water. I believe this is the last time we will stay at a Baymont hotel.

A complete lie on their booking page. Entire place under construction, no breakfast, no workout room, our microwave was broken, the fridge froze all of our food on the first night, place was a mess, and they have a sudden cash deposit requirment that you can pull out at their ATM for a 5$ extra fee just to scam you as much as possible, no daily room turn, tv didn't have a remote, pool was dirty and covered in used towels. Total rip-off.

Hotel was below average, but for the price you get what you get. Stayed for one night visiting family. Room was clean, but desk chair was all ripped up and you could see where a picture should have been hanging on the wall but was there for some reason. Furniture / night stands had a lot of wear and tear on them visibly. One thing that caught us off guard was the requirement of a $100 cash only refundable deposit. Hotels.com states $100 debit, credit or cash deposit, not cash only. Sign at the front desk gives notice to this refundable deposit requirement of cash, but then had a sign next to that one stating \"No Cash Refunds\" which made us feel something was off or wrong. Carrying no cash with us when traveling and only using credit cards, we were forced to use their ATM in the lobby and pay its $4 fee to get the $100 cash for deposit. Maybe it's a way for this hotel to generate more revenue? Not the friendliest policy when states else wise on hotels.com for this establishment.

For being a pet friendly hotel, I was asked not to bring my dog through the lobby at check in. Was put in a second floor room and then had to be moved to another room because they were remodeling. Phone did not work, there was graffiti on the elevator door, sheets and chairs were stained, walls were dirty in the bathroom with hair and toilet paper. The fridge had dirty ice in it, coffee maker was broken. The drawers smelled bad. No pool or breakfast available because of renovations.

We arrived at the hotel and after finding our reservation they told us we had to have $100 in cash to put on hold in case we damaged anything in the room. I told them I had no idea and wouldn't have accepted that if I had known. I was willing to give them my credit card but the young man said he couldn't accept a credit card. After asking to speak to the manager, I was told the manager was not available and that the young man did not have a phone number for him. I asked what he would do in case of emergency as if a pipe should burst and the rooms flooded. He said he w.ould get ahold of maintenance and they would contact the manager. I said well call the maintenance and have them ask the manager to call into the office. He acted as if I was putting him in the middle of a rock and hard place. I was because the manager should have been there to handle this issue or made himself available to his staff. After 15 mins he allowed us to stay for the one night. That was all we were booked for. The room was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. It was suppose have a breakfast but because of all the renovation materials in the breakfast room, they couldn't do that. I know that Wyndam is a better corporation than what was being presented in Flint MI.

Checked in at 10:30 pm. Waited 15 minutes for night clerk to show up to check us in. Immediately discovered: 1. the pool was not available. 2. the only breakfast offered was coffee. 3. The $200 cash deposit might not be returned immediately in the morning (assuming we left the room undamaged). Neither Expedia nor the property website stated that the property was undergoing renovations. We would definitely not have booked here if this had been disclosed.
