Hotel Sant ‘Anna is in a great location close to Vatican City, the metro, and many restaurants & tourist shops. We were comfortable and had space for our family of four. The hotel is nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The only downside was the annoyance of having to walk past the restaurants hawkers (with their high-pressure sales pitch to lure in you and others) who on the street in front of the hotel, but that was the trade-off for convenience.

The air conditioning was not on. We were asked to sleep with an open window as it is what it is. The hotel shut down air conditioner. I opened the window and the noise from restaurants below was unbearable to sleep. We could not sleep through the night, the room was so hot. I was disappointed to pay premium for a motel condition.

We booked this hotel as it was close to Vatican City and was a recommendation. We enjoyed the hotel. No restaurant or bar but they exist in abundance within walking distance. The one issue for us was no AC and we were facing the busy pedestrian/cafe area and had to keep window open but lights and noise were an issue. Desk staff was very helpful giving directions and scheduling a car for us.

An amazing place to stay. Rich history and beautiful interior. Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff are incredibly friendly, genuinely welcoming and great at what they do. Elisabetta at the front desk is so helpful in making sure our stay was so wonderful. Monica the chef makes the best baked goods we have ever had and we have traveled the world. We adored our short stay! The staff was so friendly and hospitable. They allowed us to store our bags for a few hours after check-out when our flight out of Rome got delayed, which was greatly appreciated. The room itself was clean and well-appointed with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was modern! A lovely old and serene Roman hotel
Sant'Anna is lovely. We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully presented 16th century hotel. Our room was even better than described online. It is very close to the Vatican and only a few minutes stroll from St Peter's. The hotel staff are all really professional and friendly. Marcello made us most welcome and took care of everything we asked about. We loved meeting Nina the dog who calmly dozes near reception and gracefully brings a cozy ambience to the hotel! One of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in.

Hotel is convenient as to is very close to Vatican and other attractions. Hotel is historic structure built in the 1500s. It was refurbished appt 1970 and has all the modern features a traveler would want. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Lots of restaurants are close by. Would stay there again.

Great location! Just a short walk to Vatican. Believe our room was upgraded to include a balcony! Faced pedestrian street but very quiet! Great restaurant options on pedestrian street. When used to sleeping with a bed topper, did find bed a little hard at first, but once asleep, didn’t notice it! Great breakfast with all we needed. Service at front desk was awesome!

I had little expectations on the breakfast, but the scrambled eggs made fresh in the kitchen may be the best I have ever tasted & pastries were excellent! We will utilize again in Rome. This is a small hotel with nice rooms but not a lot of options. There were very few rooms with bathtubs.Rooms were on the small side and despite being a little warm outside, there was no AC option. We had to open the window. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful.

Staff are amazing, food is so delicious. Don’t let the exterior fool you, that is just historic buildings. The interior is so pretty, everything you need is in the room and a complimentary bottle of champagne. Of course it’s Rome so noisy streets at night but the hotel can’t help that, it’s an atmosphere anyway. The beds are way firmer than I’m sure most Americans are used to but after walking around all day that doesn’t even matter! The staff are incredible, really the friendliest and so welcoming. They hold your luggage, help with directions and are happy to chat.

Sant Anna is in a fantastic position to explore the city. It’s small and chic. About 2 minute walk to the Vatican and a ten minute walk over the river to the centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all an ideal place to stay when visiting Rome. Would be more than happy to stay there again.

Very convenient to the Vatican, about 10 minutes from both the St. Peters plaza and the \"rear\" museum entrances. Loved the old charm quality of this boutique hotel. Included breakfast was complete & tasty. Staff was very friendly & helpful. This pedestrian street is lined with multiple restaurants, shops, and delicious gelatto next door! Taxis came right to the corner, 50 feet grom door. Really, it was perfect.

Quaint stay for Vatican Visit
Excellent location for visiting the Vatican. It is a quaint place to stay, with super helpful staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the best scrambled eggs I have ever had! The beds were quite firm. I would definitely stay here again the next time visiting Rome. It is on a street generally closed to traffic with lots of restaurants and shops, so it’s super convenient for most anything you might need. A 2 block walk and you are entering St Peters Square. Really loved it! It is also an easy walk for other sites as well.

Though the street is pedestrianised it is sometimes noisy. Air con as with other hotels in Italy is not available during the Spring so an open window means sleeping is not so easy. The plus is a fantastic location near the Vatican. We preferred to go out for breakfast rather than the hotel offering in the basement, though that was perfectly adequate.

Our check in was fast, friendly and informative. I received all of my Gold benefits including a bottle of sparkling wine and a room upgrade. The room was absolutely spotless! The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room staff were very sweet and friendly. I had a tour at the Vatican and it is located just 10 minutes from the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Their restaurant recommendation was excellent and my partner and I had a wonderful meal after a long day of travel. Thank you Sant Anna for a wonderful stay.

You really can't much closer to St. Peter's than this lovely, boutique hotel. Just 20 rooms, it's quiet, peaceful, charming and gracious, perfect for us, two retired adults. The room are spacious and super clean. Nearby restaurants abound. I would especially recommend \"Da Romolo Alla Mole Adriana\" tucked away at the end of Borgo.

The breakfast is a simple continental breakfast however the freshly made espresso is amazing. The hotel is situated one street from the Vatican and 10 minute walk from the Castel Sant Angelo. We took the bus from the Airport to the hotel and our location was easy accessible. I highly recommend this hotel and I definitely will stay here again in a future visit to Rome.
