Excellent place, I will pay a visit again! Staff super helpful and service at breakfast excellent. Barista provided with endless of tasty cappuccino’s espresso's. I had a small room - too small especially the shower was challenging to get in and out (if I were fatter I could see it become an actual issue). Got the impression that the sound isolation could be better but not a problem for me. That the shuttle bus to Bologna airport starts from the property is alone a good reason to pick this hotel. Location to the center of everything also makes this hard to beat.

The hotel was clean and in a perfect location. When we arrived, we noticed there was no remote control for A/C, so we opened windows. We asked at the desk, and they said thermostat was set at 22 degrees C. We asked them to check it, as it was warmer than that. The temp outside was 29 degrees C (85F). We requested twice more during the day, with no results. Finally at 9 PM, I asked for a remote, and was finally given one.

Wonderful, Quiet Hotel with a Few Excentricities

Everything was great about the hotel, including a tasty breakfast buffet. However, my room did not have a window, and I couldn't figure out why. The room seemed to face the street, so...? There was a door in the room that seemed to be an exit external to the hotel, but I could not open it. It was locked, so it was useless as an emergency exit. This door had a window, but it was opaque, and only provided daylight, no external view.

Very conveniently located hotel, right in the town centre but quiet. My room was in the annexe which was a bit dated but absolutely fine, very clean. The main hotel was very modern and tastefully decorated. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast with gluten free items available, I will stay again.

The location is good but there was no air conditioning as advertised and the room was extremely hot and the advertised parking was not available and after a long trip we had to find a parking spot on the streets which is not an easy task in Ferrara and then walk 10min to the Hotel. The staff was not very helpful to address these issues, do not recommend it.

Castle View and Good Service

A great location just steps from the castle. When I arrived there, the reception area was undergoing renovation, which was going to take a week or so to complete. I mentioned to the receptionist that I wasn't too keen on hearing the construction noise and he solved the issue by upgrading my room to one on the top floor facing the castle. The room was clean, airy and pleasant with a very good bed and pillows! Good value. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Ferrara

Okay, for a Business Trip

I booked Hotel Touring based off of great reviews from my Colleagues as we frequent the area on business trips, and stay for up to 14 days.
Unfortunately Reception switched the rooms of myself and a colleague. This was frustrating as I had paid more to be in a larger room. The room I was placed in had little room to manoeuver around furniture and the shower was narrow (I'm 5' and less than 150lbs). Even after reception admitted their accident they later said that I paid more because I had not booked as far in advance as my colleague and that I was in an older room that was not renovated. So basically don't waste your money deciding on Double Room Single Occupancy vs. Double Room. There is apparently no difference except wasting €20 a night extra and if you're concerned about paying for Breakfast it is included if you are staying in the main building, another thing not mentioned until after asking Reception about it.
The WiFi was terrible. From 0500-0800 I could barely connect and from 1600-2200 there was no chance of connecting. The Hotel did attempt to fix this problem by changing the router in my hallway but it did not help. Its fine if you don't need it, but on a business trip, frustrating.
The noise. The hotel doesn't have control over this but request a rear room. I was in a front facing room, and for whatever reason people take out and collect trash at 0100-0300. Incredibly disruptive when I had meetings and lectures the next day.

Great location

When we booked online it stated that we had free parking. That was not the case when we got there. The parking garage was full and we had to pay for parking which was very hard to find considering the location of the hotel. The location was great - walking distance to sight seeing but having to put coins in for parking was not ok.

Great Hotel. Not luxury, but clean and in a great place for the city centre and all the sights of Ferrara.
Very nicely
The garage underneath is useful, although quite expensive for what it is. Certainly not designed for large cars, but the Fiat Punto that I was driving went in easily.
Underfloor heating in the bathroom was really nice, and the free wifi for as many devices as you wanted was also great and fast.
The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was very nice.
I'd definitely recommend this for budget concious travellers who want something nice in Ferrara.

Stayed for a total for about 9 hours, great location for old town (seconds away). Fantastic pizzeria even closer. Breakfast staff made enough noise at 7am to remove need for any alarm clock - hotel very echoey (was on first floor). Reception staff wonderful, helpful and spoke excellent English.

My first night was a nightmare as it was very hot and the air cond in the room wasn't working.
The day after the director of the hotel ensured I had a better room with proper air cond.
My second night was then very pleasant.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and the location of the hotel is great, close to the center town, just a few minutes walking distance and also very close to the train station.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the service was friendly & excellent and breakfasts had enough variety of choice of good food. Our room was very clean and the bed had the best firm mattress I've ever found in a hotel. The location was excellent almost next door to the Estense Castle, and a very short walk to the Cathedral and shops. One tip I can pass on is to choose a room away from the front of the hotel. There is a grassed area between the hotel and the main road with benches that attracted the drunks in the small hours of the morning, and they kept us awake each night with their shouting and singing. Apart from that one aspect this hotel is a great choice and in a delightful town.

The hotel touring is located right near the center of town, you can easily walk to all the major sights. The room was comfortable but charmless...an adequate room, comfortable bed, but nothing memorable. Hotel staff was fine, they served a nice breakfast, and bikes were available at the hotel for a nominal fee.

Clean, quiet hotel with great service

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Touring. The hotel is clean and quiet. The hotel is located about a twenty minute walk from the train station and is right on the edge of the historic center of Ferrara. The staff is pleasant and helpful: we needed advance tickets for the Scrovegni chapel in Padova and Maurizzio at the front desk went out of his way to work through the ticket purchase app and printed copies for us. Special thanks to Maurizzio. I have no problem recommending the Touring Hotel. Almost forgot: the hotel also has a good breakfast.

Hotel Touring is about 25 mins walk from Ferrara's train station but minutes from the Castle and old town. The receptionist who did my check in was very friendly and knowledgeable about the sights to see. My single room was adequate but anyone bigger than me (5 ft) will find the shower cubicle & bathroom very tight. I found the mattress too soft. There is a mini fridge but no safe. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, plastic ham and plastic cheese, and what seemed like off the shelf cakes. This rather dated hotel is ok for a quick stop and if you don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room. There was loud live band music from the castle or vicinity until 1.15 am on the night I stayed!! Wifi is a pain as you need a hotspot voucher from reception which you need to use within 4 or 5 hours after which it expires and you can't even access facebook.

Right in the Center of Ferrara

This was a simple no frills hotel right in the center of Ferrara. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The mini bar contained two free bottles of water which was a nice touch. The hotel includes breakfast for free. It was nothing fabulous, but included fruit, cereal, croissants, coffee, etc. It was sufficient enough to get the day started. The best thing about the hotel was the location: right in the heart of Ferrara and across the street from the castle. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Ferrara.

Touring Hotel Ferrara

Recently stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with my wife on a visit. The Hotel is in an excellent location close to all the attractions, restuaunts and bars of Ferrara. The facilities in the Hotel are of a good standard and all the staff friendly and helpfull. On the downside their now seems to be issues with internet with free access all the time not available. I believe now you need to buy credit to get online, something that has changed within the past few weeks. Also the corridors to the rooms can be noisey with solid floors and doors that do get slammed closed. but please do not be put off from this hotel if you can cope with those issues. It is a lovely good value hotel which i do reccomend in a fantastic location.

La camera, alquanto costosa, era tuttavia piccola e scomoda. Il bagno era piccolo e con la porta d'ingresso scorrevole direttamente a fianco del letto, con la conseguenza che, aprendo la porta, la luce invade la stanza e chi lo usa di notte sveglia necessariamente chi dorme. Inoltre il rumore della ventola è insopportabilmente alto.
