We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. Special thanks to Suheib and Marquis for being so welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast was nice every morning, and the grounds were very clean and well-kept. We also appreciated having a gym easily accessible during our stay. The location is ideal and made getting around so easy. We’ll definitely be returning.

The room I was put in resembled a dungeon. Poorly lit and multiple levels of stairs to get down to the room. The room itself was very old and not clean. There was hair all over the shower and the shower dripped constantly. The bed was also visibly lumpy. Then the walls are extremely thin and the room I was in was connected to the stairs so it was extremely loud at all times. The breakfast was not what was advertised either, maybe I just went too early. Would seriously reconsider booking here, especially if traveling solo.

Clean, break is ok same thing everyday. 4 or 5 separate building and only 1 building has elevator, we stayed on 3rd floor that doesn't have elevator, with large luggages was not easy to get on the 3rd floor

We chose this hotel for the following reasons: (1) location, (2) price, (3) breakfast provided, and (4) no pets allowed.

Its location allows us to easily reach Fisherman's Wharf and Dennis The Menace Playground.

The breakfast was good. We enjoyed the oatmeal and the breakfast burrito (the latter was really good). One blemish was this: The bananas ran out and were not replenished.

The front desk staff were courteous and friendly.

Friendly, efficient staff found a quick solution to accommodate early check in. Room very clean, roomy and relaxing. Easy walk to downtown Monterey and the Wharf make it a great location. Evening glass of wine and full assortment of breakfast options in the morning add to the the experience.

Only stayed 2 nights. Enjoyed the service, friendly folks. Would recommend air circulation for the breakfast room. Our ADA room would benefit from large ceiling fan with bright lighting. The hot water was scarce in the morning, great at nighttime. The last minute hotel rate was excellent.

The room size was just decent. Breakfast was a letdown. Not a lot of food choices; no sausages or bacon. If ever there were bacon, they serve very little. Oatmeal was not enough either as most of the time, it was already finished by the second hour of breakfast. There was only 1 person in charge of breakfast as she is juggling between refilling the food, replenishing the coffee and juices as well as picking up the used plates, cutlery and replacing them with new ones. We have to wait a few times for food and plates as well as spoon and forks. They should instead just use paper plates and disposable spoon and forks. Offer more food variety too or better yet add another person to help. The entrance should also be lighted; add illumination to the word Hotel Abrego as people struggle at night to see the entrance to the hotel which by the way was awkward enough to enter. Good luck to the business as we won’t be coming back.

Great location and spacious room. Our room was warm and stuffy initially but keeping the windows helped tremendously. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient and filling with plenty of warm and cold drink options. The pool and jacuzzi area was small but clean. Overall we enjoyed our trip here and would stay again.

The breakfast menu was ok. It got warm/cold if you didn't get there right at 7am. No bacon or sausage as an option. The overnight oats were really delicious. The tables were dirty, you clean up after yourself so they dont get wiped down. Says free breakfast, but your paying $20/night extra. It says for breakfast and parking and amenities. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The staff were really nice! I just didn't like that our room had an ant issue. Along the walls by the big window and on our nightstand between both beds,plus the table with the coffee maker. The pool was heated and nice. The spa was nice,could've been a tad bit hotter. Its a good location if your visiting the wharf,aquarium and cannery row. The pillows sucked, too flat. No microwave in the room. The bed sheets and blankets are white,not a fan of that at a hotel. Overall it was an ok experience. The ants ticked me off. The staff are extremely nice!

The AC didn’t work properly, and there was no tea maker in the room. The staff did not walk us to the room, which was unexpected.
The bathroom was not clean, and there was no hot water In the restaurant, However, when we asked the reception about the hot water, they fixed it quickly.

We missed the first night of our reservation, and although I was hoping for some adjustment, they said no changes could be made, which I understand.

Overall, I do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The staff were outstanding and very helpful, especially at the front desk. They accommodated late arriving family members well and had excellent knowledge of the area for walking etc. The room was a deluxe double queen or something like that. It was a downstairs room in the building next to the main building. It was dark, even with the drapes open, but it was clean and had a nice balcony. Bathroom was fine. I stayed three nights and had to get new keys multiple times because they stopped working on the building and the room. The property was cheaply built, so you hear overhead creaking when people walk around the room above you, even through carpet. The breakfast was typical for this level accommodation. Overheated and rubbery scrambled eggs with cheese, oatmeal, pancakes, toast and bagel, no breakfast meats. The coffee, however, was excellent. I would stay here again if I am not looking to upgrade to a more luxurious property.

The property was nice, sadly the gym was … sad. The treadmill did not work, no mat, no free weights, oh and the saddest part no towels, they had napkins and a drink fountain with no cups. Otherwise the property and area are beautiful. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Oh and we had a great nights rest.

We live in Santa Barbara, California and are used to beautiful places.

Carmel is a true treasure.

We stayed at the Hotel Abrego as we noticed its convenient location and well priced rooms, I have to say that we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

As well as ,The staff, the fireplaces, the hot tub, clean updated rooms And the caring atmosphere that we had during our 2 night stay.

We look forward to returning and know that there is many options in this area.

But we found a loving home at Hotel Abrigo

And I'd like to say thank you, To all the staff for your continued Support during our stay and our return trips, That we are looking forward to in the next few months, plus you're warm smiles.

Great place to stay with friendly staff. Breakfast were your basic items, the rooms felt clean and safe. The few cons I had were narrow parking, no microwave and the mini fridge not working. It was a burden to keep refilling the ice bin so that we can keep the baby's milk cold. All in all, a little pricey but a great stay nonetheless.

This was my third stay at Hotel Abrego, and as always the staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the building across from the pool on the 2nd floor. Compared to the main building and the building across from the main building, this one seemed a little tired in the hallways...my room was very nice, but seemed like it hadn't been opened up in quite awhile as there was a strange odor to it. For me, not a problem as I love having the sliding glass door ope, which after several hours did help. I had dinner both nights in the bar and the food was yummy. Overall my stay was great!

Check-in was easy, and the breakfast was simple but a nice way to save some money. The first room we were given didn’t appear to be ready for check-in—there were sheets on the floor, and the bathroom sink stopper had been removed and left on the counter. We went back to the front desk to explain the situation and were promptly given a different room. While the replacement room was smaller, it was clean. Overall, it was a good stay, but if the budget allows, I would consider a better option.

Clean and spacious room. Bed was super comfortable and lots of pillows. Great location, close to Downtown and 1 mile from 17 mile drive/pebble Beach. Staff very friendly, and although they call it continental breakfast included they serve Eggs, Breakfast burritos for grab and go, overnight oats, cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit and either pancakes or french toast. Great value!

When you book through expedia they give you the worst room. Basement with a 2x3 window next to the house keeping room. This room should not even be offered to anyone. Breakfast was sub par. No way this hotel should rate a wonderful.

The front desk clerk was awesome. He was kind, professional and totally helpful as my wife and I checked in for this weekend. The door to Our assigned room door was opened. We entered the assigned room which appeared to be clean, but when we went to get into bed, the linen was filthy! I immediately called the front desk clerk, and he assigned us to another room immediately which was clean. However, The patrons above our first floor reassigned room were totally disruptive, they made noises by walking all evening creating this cracking noises in the ceiling of our first floor room, and early Sunday morning which was terribly annoying! Also, The security access entry door was broken to the rooms in the 2000 room building. This needs to be repaired for security purposes. Also a written notice should be given to all hotel patrons regarding noise to ensure that they are respectful of others in the hotel.
