Sapana Garden was fine for what it is, a no frills inexpensive hotel in Thamel.
The hot water and a/c work, so can't ask for much more than that. The room is basic with no creature comforts. The breakfast was quite good, actually. Potatoes with garlic was delicious.
Good location if you can find it--it's tucked away between two streets.
It does the job, as long as you don't expect too much.

Le MEILLEUR hôtel de Thamel. Situé dans une petite rue calme et à quelques minutes à pied de tous les meilleurs quartiers de Thamel et des restaurants.
Le personnel était super sympa et très arrangeant, et le service était excellent.
L'ambiance de l'hôtel était si accueillante, nous ne pouvons que recommander cet hôtel !

L'équipe de l'hôtel Sapana Garden a été exceptionnelle. Ils ont été réactifs, amicaux, attentionnés et minutieux. Narayan s'est distingué ! Tous les membres de l'équipe avec lesquels nous avons eu des contacts ont été excellents. La chambre était agréable et le barbecue dans le jardin était très amusant. The hotel is wonderful and the staff are very helpful and willing to help in any way they can. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is great in the middle of “Thamel”. There are bars, shops, and restaurants around.

首都としてのカトマンズは活気にあふれ、常に忙しく、時には騒がしく、過密な状態になることもあります。しかし、このかわいいホテルは、ガーデンオブドリームスから5分のところにあります。このホテルはタメル地区にあり、非常に賑やかな場所ですが、部屋は驚くほど静かで、これから始まる一日のためにゆっくり休めるという利点があります。

ホテル自体は、レセプションから朝食をとる庭、その隣のバー、素敵なコーヒーショップ、美しい夕食をとることができる素晴らしい外の庭まで、素晴らしいものです。

部屋は非常に快適で、枕も完璧です。レイアウトはすっきりしていて、よく使われています。

すべてが完璧で素晴らしいのですが、私たちにとって最も重要なのはスタッフです。どんな問題や疑問もすぐに解決してくれました。

私は間違いなく、このホテルを誰にでもお勧めします。

We just returned from a fabulous Nepal tour. We were traveling with our group and loved the location and vibe of the hotel. There were tons of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes right outside, and museums/parks within a short walk. The rooms were very comfortable. Despite being in the center of a vibrant neighborhood, it was very quiet at night. Carmen went above and beyond in helping us to schedule a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu and was extremely kind and attentive--he made us feel welcome and well cared for. And Narayan enthusiastically helped us select some amazing shopping. Overall a wonderful experience--we will be back!

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est bon, en plein centre-ville, facile à se déplacer ; le personnel de l'hôtel est très sympathique, surtout les gars à la réception, ils sont très gentils ! Le petit-déjeuner de l'hôtel est très copieux, et il est livré dans la chambre chaque matin. Le petit-déjeuner est riche et cérémonial ; le déjeuner est également délicieux, avec du porc, du poulet et du poisson tous délicieux ; en plus, le dernier étage de l'hôtel est magnifique, et vous pouvez y faire de l'exercice tout en profitant de la vue nocturne de Katmandou.

酒店位置不错，在市中心，出行很方面；酒店的员工非常热情，尤其是前台的几个小伙子，人特别好！酒店的早餐很丰盛，每天早上都是送到房间，早餐很丰盛，很有仪式感；午餐也很美，猪肉，鸡肉，鱼肉都很可口；另外，酒店顶层的挺美的，可以锻炼下身体，欣赏加德满都的夜景。

This was our second time staying here. We love the hotel. The staff is excellent and friendly. Very clean hotel. The pickup service is great and they will take you and pick you up from the Airport at convenient cost. The breakfast is good, but it would be nice to have pancakes one day. Would highly recommend staying here. We stayed in the two bedroom suite that has a small living area.

Since I booked with Expedia they put me in a hotel across the street. I booked theSapana because I wanted to stay there not in another hotel. I should be fully refunded.
Front desk was extremely rude and incompetent !
I would definitely not book this hotel even if it was freee!

Disappointing

The hotel is hidden at the end of an alley and difficult to find. Room was described as a luxury double but it was a standard room on the small side and lacking a wardrobe where to put clothes. Breakfast was very poor and only one cup of coffee allowef - i thought it was a joke. I booked the hotel based on reviews but i think they must be written by frienfs of the staff. Staff in the restaurant were friendly but not the staff behind the front desk. Will not stay here again and do not recommend.

We stayed at Sapana garden in our first time visiting Kathmandu, we chose this place by reading reviews and we were very happy during our stay. A/C, great location, has 2 access ways to the hotel, very handy as Thamel is very crowded with narrow streets. Breakfast was good, very friendly staff, market is just out the street, you can walk to various places from there or take a taxi by dealing the price before you hop in, diary or restaurants nearby, also Hotel has its own restaurant. Great experience, we would love to go back.

I’m very happy enjoyed few days in Hotel Sapana Garden while return from Annapurna Circuit

Location:
•Very convenience
•20 minute (By Taxi) – from hotel to airport (leave hotel at Tue 17:30)
•Walking distance:
•1 minute -- Money exchange shop, local restaurant, small shops…,
•5 minutes – Busy Street, trekking shop, big supermarket, book store, different kind of restaurants, shops…
•5 to 10 minutes - Garden of Dreams and Narayanhity Palace Museum
•20 minutes - Kathmandu Durbar Square
•40 minutes – Swayambhunath (No entry fee)
FYI… As hotel is not in big street, please pay attention for a tall and light green building

Room:
•Clean, Big, Stylist, New, Good lighting, nice terrace (good for dry clothes) and Silent (hotel hide in small street),
•Air con, Hot water shower, TV (many channels e.g. Star, Sony…), hot water boiler … are in good condition,
•Power will suspend occasionally (seem City issue) but recover very soon,
•Bottle water and housekeep every day,

Food and drinks:
•Delicious and reasonable price,
•Breakfast is buffet type, coffee (fresh make) or Masala tea is included

Staff:
•Receptionist, restaurant and security is very nice, polite and helpful, always carry smiling in the face :)

Conclusion:
•Customer oriented service, Focus in details and emergency (e.g. Found spare water and good power generator or UPS…),
•Management done excellence job in all aspect,
•HIGH RECOMMEND, I’ll be back for sure

We had incredible experience at Hotel Sapana Garden. From the moment we arrived we were met with helpful and friendly staff at the airport with our name card who couldn’t do enough for us. The room was immaculately made up every day including an evening service and the breakfast was fantastic with a complimentary fresh coffee. Full of wonderfully fresh and delicious foods from different cultures which was served as Ala Carta. The garden and bar service and service was great. We were guided to a nearby SPA, which was really relaxing. The restaurant was excellent - beautiful views and delicious food.

We loved everything about this stunning hotel and will certainly come back!

There were some guests being rude to members of staff which was a real shame to see. People should drink responsibly. Great salute to the staff who treated with smile every time though the drunkard guest was scolding him for no reason. Finally the security personnel came and took care of the drunkard. If I were the staff, I wouldn’t have tolerated the situation.

The best part of this hotel is the staff actually. They are real personal and really professional.

I was on holiday trip in Kathmandu with my teen age son. We were very much delighted to have stayed here. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Check In was excellent and Mr. Ishwar the Manager was very efficient and helpful. Also the staff from dinning was very polite and helpful. Rooms are big and comfortable and the view to the garden was superb.

Would stay here again whenever at Kathmandu. Highly recommended.

I booked this hotel because its feedback from other travelers. Everything was as expected. Free airport pickup as well as a wonderful Kathmandu city tour. Very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, lovely balcony with view over garden. Staff were superb. Nothing was too much problem. I asked for flowers in the room and these were beautiful. Great attention to the guests. My partner and I got engaged, and when the staff learned of this, roses, wine, and a touching card with messages from all the staff was a big surprise. Would you get such attention in any hotel in the world? I found Nepali hospitality is the best in this world. I have traveled a lot of places in the world but Nepal is the best.

Hotel Sapana Garden is actually a Home away from Home.

As part of a multi-week trip through Nepal, I had selected the Hotel Sapana Garden due to its lovely interior design, and reviews from guests. Onsite, it surpassed my expectations! The front desk team was exceedingly helpful and polite, and we discussed the great amenities of the hotel and some of the local attractions in the neighborhood Thamel at length. Our private room was eligible for an upgrade, with a very comfortable bed and and clean bathroom.

The onsite restaurant and bar is airy and offers a lot all around, with an intriguing sake menu in the evening, and a popular lunch menu.
On the reception floor, a lounge for guests was available, hosting a relaxing space, great window for overlooking the neighborhood.

As this was a birthday trip for my boyfriend, the Hotel also graciously offered him Nepali traditional Daura Suruwal and Dhaka Topi, which were a lovely amenity. Thank you so much to everyone at the property for a lovely stay!

We will come back again.

Una estancia increíble en el Hotel Sapana Garden de Thamel. Estuvimos a finales de mayo y fue perfecto. La ubicación es genial - muy cerca de muchas zonas principales que desea visitar, caminar, y si usted está interesado en el transporte público - múltiples opciones allí también.

Visitamos como una pareja junto con mis amigos. ¡El lugar era increíble para todos en el grupo! Cualesquiera que fueran tus intereses/prioridades, desde una gran conexión wifi a extras en tu habitación, o ayuda con cualquier cosa - ¡el equipo estaba allí! Desde el check-in hasta la cena y las experiencias en la habitación hasta nuestra hora de salida :)

¡Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel y lo mantendré como mi favorito para futuros viajes a Nepal!

Qué gran hotel, hecho más grande por el personal atento y amable. Nuestra habitación estaba bien equipada y muy limpia. La ubicación está cerca de todo. Caminamos por todo el barrio. Los servicios de taxi e Indrive eran fáciles y fácilmente disponibles. Un agradecimiento especial a Narayan por organizarnos un increíble tour privado por Katmandú. Y a Devendra por recibirnos siempre con una gran sonrisa y buenos consejos sobre dónde comer y beber fuera del hotel. Los restaurantes y bares del hotel también eran estupendos. Sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí.

El 05 de mayo celebramos nuestra boda y no pudo salir mejor, el trato de todo el equipo del hotel fue espectacular, super cercanos, y atentos. Desde el principio Narayan estuvo muy pendiente de nosotros y nos ayudó muchísimo.
La comida estaba exquisita, un 10 para el chef Roshan y su equipo.
Muchas gracias a todo el personal del hotel por hacer de un día tan especial un gran día.

Neues Hotel, Personal braucht noch Training. Außer an der Reception hat das Personal keine einheitliche Kleidung. Die Kellner hängen in Lederjacken herum.
