No AC in the garden rooms it was so hot the ac units are badly out dated it only worked for an hour bugs in the shower we asked for a fan and the staff kept passing it off to different people no one provided a fan or a room change when I say it was hotter in the room than outside I mean it !! Worse experience by far and we come to Jamaica every two months we will not stay there ever again the distance to the room is horrible small parking lot so just take a uber not the cleanest room either some stains and moldy showers we checked in and noticed broken hangers under the beds as well as old flower petals mattress was either to hard or sunken in we had a two bed cottage

The pictures and advertisements of the property do not match the reality of the property. We had to ask for wash clothes. It took 10 minutes for the water to turn hot. Also, I was only there 3 nights and initially, the toilet was slow to flush, by the 2nd night, I had to ask for a plunger because the toilet was stopped up. They never had any hot cocoa which was on the menu. The views were amazing though. That was the best part about the stay.

Nadine cooks the breakfast that the sister hotel-Legend is famous for making daily. However, evening meals are not good and especially not when cooked by Daniel.
The pool is a great addition since not all guests will want to jump/dive off the cliff. But should you wish to have your mini experience of a cliff side dive, I can highly recommend it as my daughter loved it. I climbed into the water by ladder and enjoyed the sea tremendously.
Staff are pleasant and housekeeping were particularly nice to engage. Please remember to tip staff daily if you wish as they change days.
Overall, Samsara has responsive and thoughtful staff so if there is an issue, bring it to their attention and be assured they will try to resolve it.
A little attention to the external building is necessary and the rooms are dated, these are not Hurricane related issues but possibly the downturn of Negril tourism.
Enjoy a twin stay of Cliff -Samsara with Legend 7 miles beach!

Location on the cliffs is amazing. The swimming pools are lovely and with the shuttle to the beach at Legends it gives you the choice of facilities.
Food and drink are very good and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Tina & Kimmy! Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. Very good service all round. Would highly recommend staying there and would definitely return.

The staff was wonderful! The building itself was worn down and in desperate need of repair. The older portion of the resort needs serious updating! While there concrete fell from the dining area which could have been fatal had it hit someone, so I pray they start putting money into the property because it could be a beautiful place. The rooms on the older side where I stayed need updating, but keep the covered porches they are a wonderful feature that the newer side doesn't have. Overall my stay was ok, would I stay there again, no not until fully updated.

The staff was TOP TEIR!!! The was extra extra loving and caring not only to me but my entire group of eight.

We were in Negril celebrating three birthdays and I just wanted to relax and I was able to do just that.

The only thing that we experienced was we didn't have washcloths upon arrival. They were experiencing some issues with the dryer but they definitely made sure we were taken care of Saturday morning by the time we return from breakfast.

I had the opportunity to speak with some of the staff during my stay and they all were loving, helpful, carin, and kind no matter the tittle. I was speaking with the GM and didn't even know who she was. She treated me now different and they all knew my name, what I liked to drink, what omelet I preferred and I needed ice when I ended my night.

The resort need a few updates and upgrades. But if you are looking for a beautiful resort to relax, relax and relax Samsara Cliff is the place for you. Tell Tina to make you a drink and Kenya sent you.

My shower was leaking at the shower head so there was very little pressure of water. I had to fill a water bottle with water from the sink to rinse off. The staff could not explain where the shallow areas of the sea were so I didn't attempt to get in the water there. I didn't really check in until the next day as there wasn't really anyone there when I arrived.

Overall the Samsara is a Beautiful resort. Can use Alot of upgrades innthe rooms. Once the upgrades to the rooms are handled, this will definitely be the go to spot in Negril. Close to so much. I would recommend adding some lights at the front entrance, water fall going down the ramp to the rooms. More nightly theme events, maybe.

The staff, started off rocky, but later that evening, we were singing ad dancing with each other.

Make sure you check out the bartender Tina. AMAZING
ALSO, MS JENNIFER at check in Amazing. Be patient that's all.

If you can fit towels and washcloths in your bag or buy when you land. You will be fine.

Good spot for those on a budget but want resort feeling. They have the traditional rooms that's oceanside, and then you have the bungalows, which are more secluded but with the ambiance of the jungle. That's were we stayed.

Our room was spacious, plenty of storage, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. The air-conditioned kept the room nice and chilled.

They have an onsite gift store, restaurants and bar. Food was tasty. You can do buffet which changed daily or order something off the menu. Someone is alway at the lobby entrance to assist with crossing the busy road.

I felt safe, was within a reasonable drive to the sandy beach. Samsara sister hotel was right on the beach and a shuttle was provided to and from for free.

This was not my typical hotel esthetic as I normally stay in All inclusive modern hotels. I'm happy I gave it a try and would stay there again. It has a true Jamaica vibe for sure.

When we were looking for a place to stay we wanted a place that was retro. We are not a fan of super new and fancy places. They are too sterile and disconnected.

The Samsara fit the bill, it has everything you need and the location is awesome.

The rooms were clean and property is kept. You can tell that there was significant cleanup from the storm last year.

The staff are all very nice and helpful. A shout out to Jennifer at the front desk.

The bartenders made great drinks and were nice to engage with.

The thing we like the most was we felt we were able to engage with an authentic Negril experience.

Had an ocean view room which had a great view and was quite close to the water. We wanted a room with two beds but had to settle for a queen bed and a cot.
We didn’t have all inclusive plan but paid for drinks and enjoyed the pizza made at resort.
Walking to nearby restaurants was a little nervous as there isn’t much of a shoulder on the road. Pool was warm and clean. We were there for a week and saw a band play twice there. Awesome!

The air conditions was working (which is needed). The rooms were very clean also the pool. A live band was playing Friday night. We walk to near by store to get snacks the area was safe. I did not eat on the property. My only was it was four of us and the gave us towels for two even when I specifically ask for four and no new bath mat. Overall I will stay again.

The staff was outstanding! They were very attentive and really made you feel that you were a part of their Jamaican family! I liked our bungalow it was very spacious although somewhat dated with some fresh curtains and furniture. That would be fabulous.
The food was excellent; I enjoyed the morning breakfast the best with Georgia starting my day with her smile! I looked forward every evening to Henry always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed.
The girls from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar made every day a blessing! Special love to Tina, Maraceli, Kimi for always smiling you are truly beautiful inside and out!
I believe his name is Roman and the other security guards for getting me across the road safely throughout my stay!

The views of the cliff and the sunset was the best part of the trip. Staff were very accommodating and for that I’m very happy about. Staff are doing the best they can with what they are given, the place could use some improvement and remodeling on some of the units. There’s not a lot of food options if you choose all inclusive, so something to be mindful of if you choose that option and have dietary restrictions. This is not a fancy place, but it has all the charm and cultural vibes of Negril. Restaurants and beaches are close and you can get a taxi ride right from the hotel. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at Samsara Hotel.

We stayed in the garden bungalow and rustic is an understatement. Towels taken each day but sometimes no clean ones brought back. Only 3 outlets, cat and dog noises all night and crossing the road to get to our bungalow felt very unsafe with how fast locals drive. The food was sub par. Beautiful cliff area and the pools were clean. Staff was pleasant. Would not return.

The view was beautiful to the sea, property was filthy, we told we weren’t allowed coffee until after the all inclusive guests ate first, there was only 2 bath towels, we had to ask for towels, face cloths, and beach towels, it took two days to receive. It is a huge slip and trip hazard when it rains, as the “flooring is smooth broken tile”, and uneven ground. No hand rails for any of the stairs or ramps, inclines. The bar staff was not personable.

There was one person that stands out that was amazing, when we did go to the restaurant, there was one server that learned our name and remembered it the first time, she was very personable.

It’s within walking distance to many places, but walk at own risk, there is no sidewalks.
The transit to sister resort is limited space so if you don’t get on the first be prepared to wait for the second one. It’s not right away. We took a taxi, however that can become very costly.

It’s a very low key peaceful place, if you are looking for lively action, not the place I would suggest. If you have mobility or balance issues definitely don’t recommend.

This resort was small and personal. Great for my autistic daughter who loved having all amenities close and a short walk. The cliffs are gorgeous and amazing to snorkel from. There is no beach directly on site only the cliff entrances to the ocean. We got all inclusive, The food was buffet style, usually about 4-5 foods to choose from, wonderful, good balance of local flavours, catered well to vegetarians. Not a massive buffet and might be trickier for kids. There was music 2/3 nights we stayed, one of them was fabulous. The drinks are VERY STRONG! Lol. The rooms are somewhat run down

The dining room felt like an old supper club, nearly all vegetation on the property was dead, the surfaces near the cliffs were extremely worn, some of the patio furniture and day beds were completely rotted.

This property needs some serious TLC and updating.

Sea view room was good just some small things needed some attention. Can't speak for other rooms. Small older resort that was very quiet for the most part but the road in front of the resort is loud during the day. Staff was great. Not your typical resort for food. the cooks handled all the food and you didn't have a big buffet with cold food setting out getting cold. A picky eater may not like it but our group thought it was all good and was a nice change from the large resorts.They have another resort with a beach that can be a little crowded.

This is not an all inclusive for one you eat at certain times like a prisoner. Limited selection and have to wait in line to eat like you are receiving free lunch at a soup kitchen. The pool was dirty and hotel was so run down it’s comparable to what you would think a cheap hourly no tell motel the beds are hard it’s beyond run down pictures are definitely deceiving.

The room was clean and well maintained daily.
We didn't have any face clothes (wash clothes) during our 3 day stay. We had sufficient towels.

We ate at the on-site restaurant on 3 occasions during our stay. We had 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner. The breakfast and lunch were okay.We were, however, disappointed with dinner. It wasn't up to the usual standard we are accustomed to from local restaurants in Negril. We opted to eat out for the remainder of the meals in restaurants that were known to us.

Overall we had a good experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to experience the west end (cliffs) of Negril.

The place looked dreary and worn out. The TV did not turn off and the phone to call the front desk in the room did not work. The housekeeper was annoyed because we requested for new sheets and a new cover. The sheets on the bed were dirty and felt disgusting. Don’t go to this place save your money. As soon as we got there I asked the receptionist if I could cancel and get a refund. There was nothing to do there no entertainment and just a dry place to stay. It’s more like a hotel to just stay an overnight in. Don’t waste your time and money. Please I beg you!!!!

The bed i slept in was very comfortable compared to most hotels. Amazing view and very quiet by the infinity pool. I spent most of my time at long beach a few miles away. Only negative. Is the parking lot is inadequate for staff guest and taxi drivers to share. I
