Excellent staff, always friendly & helpful. Outstanding location one block from historical centre. Lovely spacious room, modern bathroom.
The only negative: parking is not €10/day. The parkade next to the hotel allows 15 min free. But a full day is €16.50 = €33 for 2 days. Luckily street parking up a hill as suggested by reception.

A good location with an easy walk to the centre of the city. Clean comfortable room and an excellent choice available for breakfast.
Two downsides; no decaffeinated drinks available at breakfast and the parking spaces in the car park next door are very small and tight and difficult to access in a large modern car. It was very stressful getting in and out of the car park which spoiled an otherwise excellent hotel stay.

Close to Centre of Quimper with parking nearby.

This hotel is a short walk from the centre of Quimper and there is covered parking within a minite walk for £10 overnight which is locked overnight or free parking nearby as well. Offered a bottle of water on arrival and room was clean and the shower was excellent. There is a small bar and a restuarant which is open only Monday to Thursday. A good stay for a quick trip

Great service at the front desk at all hours. We stayed here twice in one week and weren’t pleased with our first room as it was quite small, but during our second stay, we received a more spacious room and were given all toiletry products (in the first room we only got the body lotion bottles). Fans are available in rooms. Ventilation lacking in the toilet and bathrooms.

PS don’t park at the parking lot next to this hotel - the turns and parking spots are frustratingly tight. Look for street parking instead and read up on Quimper street parking hours as you don’t need to pay for specific hours.

Pleasant stay. Nice simple modern hotel.

Very nice hotel. Receptionist was very helpful recommending a nice restaurant as the one we use to go has changed ownership and not the same.
Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Toilet could have been cleaner when I checked in as it wasn’t cleaned properly.
Breakfast was nice and good to have real coffee. Nice hotel and convenient.

When we checked in we had to request another room as rooms so small we couldn't even have room to set our suitcases on the floor. Very small rooms, tried to find another hotel but seems all hotels in Quimper are similar.

Hotel was booked for the recent festival and was fine for our stay. Room was very hot due to heatwave and lack of air conditioning...unusual weather for this part of world. One request...larger bath towels required... Ludicrously small.

Special mention for staff member Ronan who helped us find alternative transport when trains were cancelled for our trip back to Paris.

I was here for one night in March. The front desk staff gave me a number of restaurant suggestions, most of which were sadly closed that week for vacation. Still, you are around the corner from rue Catherine which has a number of places to eat and are about 6 minutes walk from the Cathedral and old town. Parking on the street seems to be the better option even if you have to use parking meters as the garage next door closes at 7 PM which could be an issue for late arrivals. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. i didn't use any of the spa services on offer. Breakfast was a nice buffet with attentive staff.

Nice hotel across the river from the old town.

A pleasant hotel with many amenities. Rooms are bright and airy, decorated in Scandinavian style. The plumbing has been recently updated, and though the water pressure is a bit low, the water was hot. The rooms street facing rooms tend to be bigger, but can be noisy at night. Breakfast has risen to €11.
The reception staff is outstanding!

We were staying for a wedding in Quimper. Hotel was bare but clean. Our last night after arriving late, we found we had to move our car due to a festival. The streets would be blocked and we would have to move our car by 7 am or not leave until 8 pm. Very inconvient!!

Comfortable hotel close to what there is to see in Quimper. Hotel staff were friendly. Car park next door at reasonable rates. Not a great amount of choice of hotels in Quimper, but this meet our needs and was well priced for what was available with amenities and hotel facilities. Don't expect a great view from your room (the hotel is opposite the police station), but all the sights are within easy walking distance. Hotel is in a quiet street. Nice Indian restaurant just down the road. No air conditioning, but windows do open. Would not recommend a stay here on a really hot day. Would stay here again if visiting Quimper.

Overall, was a very pleasant comfortable and convenient stay for short overnight touristic trip to Quimper and experience Breton culture
Had a wonderful dinner nearby restaurant L'Epee which would highly recommend and then attended a concert of Breton music at the Cathedral gardens

I can't quite figure out why this hotel is rated so highly, except for the fact that there may not be many choices in Quimper. Sure the room was clean and functional, but the room gives you the impression of living in a drab, but clean, small box with no personality. My view was a concrete wall and windows from a lighted stairwell which beamed into my room all night. Yes, there were blackout curtains, but with no air conditioning, if you closed the curtains you got no air! The only good thing about this hotel was the welcoming and helpful front desk. Thank you to them. Also note if you are driving, there is a very tight parking garage next door, so be prepared to pay extra for parking.

Great hotel, clean, modern, great breakfast, nice staff, good bed. Highly recomended. Quimper is a lovely town which is well worth a visit. The surrounding area, particularly the coast near here, is lovely. Only negative is the cost of parking a car, motorbike is no problem to park for free, the staff will explain. Positive is that you are 5 minutes walk to the town. Excelent resturants here.

I booked this hotel because it was convenient to the centre, and because it had parking. But arriving on the Easter Monday holiday I found the parking was in the next-door multi-storey which was closed and locked that day! The only option I had was to park on the street. Luckily I'd arrived early enough to find a space 2 streets away from the hotel, but had I come later this would have been a hassle. Nevertheless, once checked in, the hotel was excellent. It was disappointing that the hotel restaurant only appeared to be open Mon-Thursday, and not on a bank holiday. Since many of the other restaurants in Quimper were also closed on a holiday it meant we had to traipse around the city centre to find one that was open.
But the room was clean, and the staff were helpful.

We had a business meeting in Quimper, during a business trip through France. This hotel had the best quality for the cost of all the hotels we went to. The service was great, breakfast was excellent and the room was modern, new and of good quality. We wished we had stayed a bit longer, the town has great tourism potential, but we were there just for business.

Ideal location

Stayed one night during a short break in Brittany. Hotel was easy to find and is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the main square with shops and bars. A range of restaurants even closer. Parking available right next door to the hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. Buffet breakfast offered a range of cereals, breads, cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, pastries, scrambled egg and bacon, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juice.

Would certainly recommend this hotel. Modern, clean, comfortable, friendly and well positioned.

An excellent hotel in Quimper

The Escale Oceania has the perfect location. Cross a street, a foot bridge, and round a corner, and you're in the heart of historic Quimper's shopping district. The cathedral is right there, a very short walk from the hotel. And there's a top quality Indian restaurant even closer (the \"Maharj,\" I think it was). The staff could not have been nicer. Only problem: the place was a bit hard to find, as its street was mostly blocked for construction. Once we found it, though, we were very pleased. It's right across from a police station, too, which is a very good thing...and right beside a parking garage. The room was a bit bare-bones, but we were very pleased with the value overall. Very recommended.

just across the stream from the old town, this hotel offers quite reasonable value for money. Air conditioner would make it even better, but apparently for the Brittany climate this is not considered to be of a paramount importance. However, if you like sleeping with the open windows get ready for some early morning noize (tires screeching, loudspeaker etc) from the police station across the road.
About the only disadvantage is that it reportedly has rooms of one size, which is just OK for the 2 and is way too small for the 3. Do bear that in mind if you book for a family.
Charming, very helpful staff.
And lastly, don't try to find this hotel by the facade depicted in the Expedia profile - the real one is totally different from what's on the picture.

Very positive experience

This hotel is in an excellent area in that it is very close to the shopping, restaurants and main sights of Quimper. And across from the police station, no less. Young staff, eager to please. We did not try the breakfast but walked to the town for cafe au lait, croissants and to see the people go by, also saved some $.

Room is relatively small but acceptable for the price.

Ottima posizione a ridosso del centro con annesso garage a pagamento. Ambiente confortevole anche se non molto personale. Stanza doppia spaziosa e luminosa, con bagno moderno e funzionale (wc separato). Discreta colazionea buffet sia per il dolce che per il salato. Non è mancato nulla, forse solo un po' di personalità in più trattandosi di una catena alberghiera autoctona.

Hôtel très bien situé à proximmité du centre ville mais, comme il n'y a pas de garage, le stationnement est celui de la ville (problème de places et c'est payant). Chambre très bien. Personnel gentil et professionnel. Petit déjeuner très correct. Dommage que le restaurant n'ait pas fonctionné pendant notre séjour.
