Comfortable hotel in perfect location

Very friendly helpful manager who spoke excellent English - much better than our French! Clean spacious room with very comfortable bed. Location was perfect - very quiet but only a 5 minutes walk to town centre. Added bonus was secure undercover parking at extra charge. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is outside the historic quarter and although not unsafe, the street has no charm. The lobby is very nice and contrasts with the rest of the street. The hotel room was fine, but configured in an odd manor - perhaps given the age of the building. Furnishings were clean and fine, but a bit outdated. The bathroom was a step down from the bedroom and there was no door on the toilet. Those that desire a bit of privacy from others in the room will have none. Although the hotel is listed as a 4 star, I would rate the room a 3 star (just fine) and the lobby area a 3.5 star. I believe that they are doing the best with the property they have.

This is possibly the best Best Western we have stayed at. We were greeted on arrival, given a tourist map and suggestion of where to eat that evening. A minor problem with the internet was sorted by reception rebooting the system. A very comfortable, clean room with en-suite. An excellent breakfast was provided in the morning.
The hotel is well situated with everything in Quimper in walking distance. Highly recommended.

There was a layer of dust everywhere, including on the hot water pot and the bed side lamps. There was old water in the hot water pot. There were small flying bugs in the room. And the shower water sprays on the bathroom floor and if you adjust toward the wall, the water runs in a channel on to the floor. The room was tired and generally not very clean. Would not recommend.

Very safe and pretty property near the Cathedral. Kind and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast available with fantastic coffee. Room service available. Breakfast room and lounge very nice with tasteful modern furniture/decor. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and sound proof. The furniture was pretty and very safe. One of our party was partially blind and needed assistive means to walk; the room had nothing to trip over. Our windows had black out curtains — very important. Beds had great mattresses — not too soft and not too hard; I am always picky about that. We will definitely stay there again!

Pretty great in every respect. Fantastic centre for local tourism but hotel was fab. Clean, everything worked well, quiet area and room, and the most enormous bed. We had a large suite but worth it. No cooked breakfast but price reflected that at 13 pp and who needs scrambled egg every day. But especially great were the staf who were super helpful and friendly. Plenty of local great restaurants. Recommend.

A well located hotel. Only 5 minute walk to the town



Room was of good size and clean Slight problem with the shower screen which leaked on the floor

Great base in Quimper

The staff at this hotel were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. The location is excellent - many dining options just a few minutes walk away. No on site restaurant, just breakfast but this is not an issue. Rooms are a little dated but good bathrooms and adequate storage space. Nice little garden in the back of the hotels All round a great stay and I would be happy to return/ recommend.

Great hotel near the old town

Hotel reception was open and staffed even though I arrived near midnight. The receptionist was helpful and made sure I knew that parking fees at the meters began at 9:00. Note: there is no parking directly in front of the hotel, but I found multiple spots on the street within 150 meters. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything i could want.

Evening check in was not a problem. Tired and a bit grumpy when arriving we were met by a person with a smile and patience for our lack of French. Went out of his way...even ordered a pizza to be delivered for us. Room was comfortable. Carpet needed upgrading and bathroom floor was a bit sticky from cleaning product but I would definitely say if you want outstanding service, a comfortable place to lay your head and a good night's sleep stay here.

In Historic District

Beautiful little hotel in Historic District, comfortable, friendly person at the front desk, helpful in English. It's easy walking distance from the trainstation. The breakfast buffet was beautifully set, with French items to choose from. I would recommend this hotel for those who visit Quimper.

The Kregen is a little hard to find and lacks street presence, but once there, it is close to everything, quiet, and a great value. The staff were exceptionally helpful, the espresso machine for breakfast was great, and the room was a nice size. Quimper is a very nice place to stay, and to use as a base for exploring.

A very average hotel, situated in a not very interesting back street.
I booked the junior suite but I wouldn't do that if I were you. It has nothing to recommend it - tired decor, no view, just generally dingy.
The breakfast selection was adequate, but a bit meagre.
On the whole I really struggled to see how this place had achieved the star rating that it had.

Great service but risky shower setup

Lack of handles in shower pose a danger, even for a young person. Also, because it's too easy to spill water from shower onto floor, the tile with water on it caused me to skip and fall. Lastly, the wifi was spotty.

Clean hotel in center of city with pleasant staff

The hotel is in a great location near the center of the city and walking distance to restaurants. The Cathedral and main square are near by. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was extra but very good. The air conditioning was not yet turned on for the summer so we had to open the windows. When we had a light bulb burn out, the staff came quickly to change it. After we checked out, we came back the same afternoon to print our boarding passes and rest in the lobby. I would come back again.

Personnel très sympatique et aux petits soins. Les anciens occupants avaient eu l'indélicatesse de fumer dans leur chambre : nous n'avons eu aucune difficulté à demander à en changer, la chambre obtenue était parfaite. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à deux pas du centre, sans aucune nuisance sonore (que ce soit dans l'hotel malgré le fait que ce soit une ancienne batisse ou dans la rue, peu passante). Petit déjeuner très bien aussi!

Correct mais bruyant

Bien en générale mais gros bémol le bruit de la ville et l’hôtel donne à côté d’un pub, bruit jusqu’à 2h du matin et on entend les pas des chambres de en haut.

Un hôtel très bien placé dans la ville avec de nombreux bons points: parking privé, belle chambre avec bonne literie et un excellent petit déjeuner.
À noter la gentillesse du personnel et ses bons conseils pour visiter la ville et ses alentours. Et top pour nous: les chiens sont très bien accueillis

Mais diable, pas de clim, pourquoi pas à Quimper, mais par quand on donne sur une rue super bruyante. Comment dort-on dans ces conditions ?

Chaleur dans la chambre.

Pas de climatisation dans la chambre. Dommage car on ne peut pas ouvrir la fenêtre et fermer les rideaux en même temps.
Pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, je suis un peu déçu.

Nice hotel in Quimper

Only stayed one night, two couples in two double rooms. Friendly staff, cosy and inviting lobby area. Rooms probably could do with an upgrade (and quite small, but OK). Not the most inviting street/area to stay in, but we found a good restaurant down by the river.

Hôtel tres bien situé

Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit dans cet hotel situe dans le centre ville. La chambre est spacieuse, confortable’ la salle de bain n’est pas très grande et malheureusement il n’y avait plus de savon dans la douche...le buffet du PDJ n’est pas à la hauteur d’un 4 etoiles. Le parking existe mais est etroit et pas tres pratique

Hotel centrale

A pochi metri dal centro storico, la struttura si presenta in modo pulito ed elegante. Le camere sono ampie anche se non ben insonorizzate, vista l'antichità della costruzione. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Attenzione all'imbocco della strada perchè c'è il divieto di accesso che però non vale per coloro che vanno in albergo. Esiste un parcheggio nel cortile interno

LES CHAMBRES FUMEURS EXISTENT ELLES TOUJOURS ?

Nous avons été extrêmement déçus par notre séjour. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres pour mon épouse et moi même et notre fille. Notre fille a bénéficié de la chambre 276... Une horreur !!!! Une odeur de tabac froid présente partout dans la chambre : les draps, la moquette, les verres dans la salle d'eau... Nous avons discuté avec le desk qui nous a honnêtement répondu que mi aout, toutes les chambres sont louées, on ne peut rien faire... Moins honnêtement, il a essayé de nous faire croire que l'utilisateur précédent était le seul fautif. Difficile de le croire tant l'odeur était imprégnée.
Au moment du check out, la représentante de la Direction (que l'on voit en photos avec les célébrités dans la hall) est restée à l'écart et à laissé son jeune emploi vacances assumer notre insatisfaction. Quel manque de courage. Le jeune homme nous a accordé une remise liée aux petits déj de la chambre 276 : 13€/j.

Very good... 100% satisfied

Spent 3 nights at the Hotel Kregenn. Fantastic location to discover Quimper by foot. Easy partking on site. Both our rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were really comfortable. We had rooms facing the internal courtyard, which meant no view but really quiet at night.
Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast in the morning was very correct.

Dommage que sur prétexte covid le service ne corresponde plus à un 4* : information comme quoi le ménage des chambres ne sera pas fait tous les jours : pourquoi pas, mais aucune compensation financière ou geste commercial comme par exemple offrir le parking ( 7e ) ; un pdj sommaire loin d'un 4* habituel
