Convenient and quirky.

We chose this hotel as it seemed to have some character and was in a good location for the town. It was spotlessly clean and offered a good breakfast with fresh ingredients. Our only problem was that the room was hot and leaving the window open allowed mosquitos to enter.
Unfortunately taxis seem to be a problem and we had to walk to the station with luggage. Fortunately we had ample time and were physically able but this might not have been the case for other guests.
There is an excellent Italian/French restaurant close by with friendly service and wonderful food.

I didn’t think the hotel was particularly clean and it was very dated. My bed had a cloth headboard and it had a stain on it. That is unacceptable for reasons I don’t even have to explain. The desk clerk did the absolute minimum to greet us and answer our questions. That’s fine I guess but the last few hotels I stayed in had wonderful staff so it was a bit of a downer. It was a great location and economically priced so I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Los cuartos buenos y limpios. El hotel no tiene ascensor por lo cual las maletas hay que subirlas por las escaleras.
En el checkin la persona que estuvo atendiendo pudo ser más amable ya que solicitamos un cuarto con 2 camas y en vez de ofrecernos uno, nos mostró la reserva y nos dijo que era cuarto con 1 cama y se limitó a darnos lo que decía en la reserva en vez de buscar la forma de ayudarnos.

We were first given a room that had smell of someone having smoked in the room. The front desk quickly let us have another room which was on the second floor facing a busy street. However the room was very quiet and we did not hear noise from the outside. The hotel is close to the old town and everything is within walking distance. Overall good experience at this hotel.

Excellent hotel close to Quimper's historic centre

Staff very welcoming and helpful. We had 3 of the Superior rooms which were were even better than expected, all with views overlooking the lovely central courtyard. Rooms were very clean, the hotel very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. All 5 of us staying are all agreed that Hotel Gradlon is a the perfect place to stay when visiting Quimper. Breakfast was everything you would expect from a continental too.

Like an eastern European hotel from the 1960s

The desk clerk was just short of surly and singularly unhelpful. He passed me going down the steps and did not offer to help with my luggage. His colleague was much more friendly and helpful. Access by car is impossible and we had to find a spot on the street a couple blocks away just to check in. We were given directions to a public car park in the other direction which we used to the duration of our stay.

The posting stated that there was paid parking, but we could not find the lot anywhere near the hotel. We parked on the street in a rougher looking neighborhood a few blocks from the hotel. When asked about their parking lot, the person at reception told us that their lot was full, even though the hotel does not appear to be busy. Again, we did not see any area anywhere near the hotel that looked like a private parking lot. If you have a car, stay here at your own risk as parking is not easy to find, and not necessarily in the best neighborhood.

Just what we hoped for, but got more

The staff of Hotel Gradlon truly stood out for their hospitality and assistance during our stay. They were most kind to assist us with our bags, given that there was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Though small, the room was very comfortable, well appointed and outfitted with elegant bath fixtures.

A short (easy walking) distance from centre of things. Quieter too. Boulangerie and epicerie just round the corner. Free parking in Quimper is competitive, staff helpful in explaining how to find it. Cute English bulldog called Lord.

A very well situated hotel for sightseeing in Quimper.

The staff are very helpful and friendly.

We booked a garage for our car, it cost an extra 10 euro but because we were in a very built up central location we were afraid of theft so the security of a lock up garage was paramount.

The room was small but clean and well decorated. The bathroom was the let down. Water easily splashed out of the walk in shower and worse, the drain blocked up. I look down to see the water coursing out of the walk in end and had to cut my shower short and down to a drip. My husband mopped up the floor with towels. Not a good experience.

I would recommend this hotel after the bathroom issues are addressed.

Would go there again. Right beside the historic centre of town, and very cosy, with the kind of decor that I find reassuring after a day of driving in drizzle. Floral but not claustrophobic Tea and coffee and a kettle in the room, which is not usual in French hotels in my experience, and very welcome. Comfortable bed, though made of two singles pushed together, the curse of modern hotels... Terrific breakfast with home made yoghurt and fruit compote and plenty of choice. Secure parking cost ten euro for the day and had to be booked in advance. Very helpful staff.

could be problem with noise if people took drinks from bar there in the evening.
this was not a problem for us at end of september as not many guest.
Parking was a problem , we arrived at 3 pm and there was no free street parking near hotel. pay and display nearby from €0.5 30min

Very near the main sights of Quimper (cathedral, museums, charming old buildings in pedestrianised centre, etc).
Hotel looks nothing special from outside, but is very nice (and very French - in a good way) on inside.
Nice room, large comfy bed, 2 comfy seats, lots of natural light, quiet (we were on courtyard side).
Helpful staff.
Good check-in (2pm) and check-out (12.00) times.
Limited amount of parking at hotel: you may want to book a space in advance. Failing that you can find free parking on street outside or at Place de la Tourbie (short walk up hill).

Perfect location and service

Excellent location, 5 minutes' walk from centre and train/bus station and was well signposted so easy to find. Turn left out of the hotel and there is a neat little short cut path alongside the railway line to the station. We were pleasantly surprised, considering how central it was, to find it so quiet. Our room looked out onto a lovley patio with roses and citrus fruits where we were able to relax in the sun or shade. Staff were delightful and helpful in suggesting places to visit and how to get there. The room was spotless and plenty of room for everything. The only problem was that my friend is quite tall and the (single) bed was 6' so not quite long enough but this is a standard problem and may not be an issue with a double. We just moved the chairs to the end of the bed and all was fine. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but it looked a pleasant area, as was the bar, it's just that we prefer to explore outside, but you could happily spend a lot of comfortable time here. Boulangerie, fruit shop and café are on the doorstep if you don't want to walk into town, and magnificent gardens just on the right by the tower, 2 minutes away. We would certainly stay here again.

Our favorite hotel during our vacation!

We arrived at the Hotel Gradlon in Quimper past midnight but received a warm, enthusiastic welcome from a charming young man at the front desk. He promptly checked us in and personally assisted my mother with her bags. The spotlessly clean rooms were lovely and befitting the overall antique, classy feel of the hotel. They featured comfortable beds with memory foam mattresses, coffee& tea amenities, nice bathrooms and free, well working WiFi. Breakfast was offered for an additional charge and we decided to go for it. Luckily, because the offerings went above and beyond the usual petit dejeuner we had enjoyed elsewhere. There were home made crepes with various fillings on the side, yoghurt a la maison, also home made, which my father wanted to drive 50 miles back for the next day it was so incredible. Of course there were local cheeses, cold cuts, individual glass jars of French jams and fresh fruit, cereals, croissants and baguettes as well. The overall presentation was also fabulous. At check-out the gentleman from the night before and the young man who served breakfast assisted us with great advise for our planned tour through the forest of Broceliande. The mid-town location just steps away from the gorgeous old town was perfect. Parking may be an issue there sometimes although we did not have a problem and found a great spot close by. Absolutely wonderful team and hotel - 5 stars all the way!

The hotel was close to the attractions, shops and restaurants in the city centre and about 10 minutes walk to the rail and bus station yet still in a reasonably quiet street so it was easy to get a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent with a large buffet of crêpes, bread, pastries, yoghurt, fruits and cereals.
All in all we had a good experience of Gradlon. If you're looking for a stylish and chic hotel then the Gradlon is not for you - but if you're looking for a good value, comfortable hotel that takes care of its guests then you won't be disappointed.

I stayed at six different hotels on my 2 week trip to France and this was the best one. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This establishment had all the characteristics of a well run business: sincere staff that went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfasts. Loved the Breton-influenced decorum of the room. Great value too. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Gradlon in the old Brittany town of Quimper is ideally located only around 100 metres from the centre. Close to cathedral, shops, market and countless bars/cafes/restaurants.
Excellent English spoken by the staff - but try a little French yourself first!
Room comfortable and clean. Cannot vouch for the breakfast as we like to eat in one of the little bars, but we saw their breakfast buffet and it it looked very good.
They charge for oarking but there is a carpark only yards from the hotels front door wihich is free overnight.

My husband and I spent four nights in Gradlon Hotel and we were very impressed with all aspects of its management. It was close enough to the centre of town to be within walking distance of shops, the station etc and yet it felt quiet and secluded. The hotel is nicely decorated, spotlessly clean with welcoming and attentive staff members. We would happily return and can recommend to anyone visiting Quimper.

Great location in Quimper with Cathedral and lots of restaurants nearby. All staff members are very polite and helpful. Room was clean and relatively spacious. Rooms look out onto beautiful courtyard. Breakfasts were very nice. Also has a cozy, attractively decorated lounge. No real complaints although a minibar would be nice and there is no elevator (although staff offers to carry your luggage).

난 열쇠로 방문을 여는 게 너무 어려웠어요. 첫날 밤에 방문을 소란스레(열쇠를 이리저리 돌려보며) 겨우겨우 열다가, 옆방에 투숙한 할머니한테 시끄럽다고 혼났어요. 열쇠고리가 500그램 정도 되는 덤벨같이 생겨서, 작은 가방에 가지고 다니기 무거웠어요. 수도꼭지와 샤워기의 수압이 약했고 샤워실 물이 배수구에 시원하게 내려가지 않았지만 그럭저럭 쓸 만했어요. 냉장고가 없는게 불편했지만, 고풍스런 벽지, 계단의 카페트, 넓은 공간의 샤워실과 화장실은 좋았어요. 승강기가 없지만 3층 객실(프랑스식으로는 2층)이라 문제되지 않았어요. 직원들 친절하고 청소도 깔끔했어요.

Bon pour le prix

Hôtel très propre, service bien gentil. Chambre confortable. Manque d'ascenseur rend le transport de valises au deuxième assez difficile. Stationnement dans les environs pas facile - parking gratuit uniquement au sommet de la colline à coté.... Centre de la ville pas loin.

駅、観光地ともにアクセスできます。

観光地から少し離れていますが、静かな環境です。駅まで歩いて行けます。
スタッフは親切でお勧めのお店等を教えてくれます。

lDommage petit déjeuner cher pour les prestations un croissant deux morceaux de pains beurre confiture et trois rondelles de charcuteries qui se battent en duel et les fruits de très mauvaises qualités pas d'œuf de bacon ou saucisses rien de chauds pas de crêpes pourtant la région juste des madeleines sous vides

Fuyez, a part l accueil a l entrée, je ne vois pas ce je peux dire de positif sur cet hôtel.
A commencé par la salle de bain : cheveux et poils dans la baignoire, pas de pression dans la pomme de douche , l eau coule par terre (et j'ai marché dedans en chaussette..). Quant à la chambre en elle même, les draps étaient certainement propre mais taché (j étais trop fatigué pour appeler et perdre du temps à me changer les draps), un coton en dessous de la table de chevet (donc le sol n a pas été aspiré), le chauffage est limité malgré que je l ai mis à 5. Enfin la couverture de années 90 laisse a désirer, une couette (au vue du peu de chauffage) aurait été apprécié.
Je ne recommande pas du tout
