An iconic address with a sulphurous past, Le Château Rose is writing a new chapter by transforming itself into a luxury hotel combining heritage, architectural elegance and contemporary audacity. Alongside his wife Sylvie Ranger, in charge of the decoration and layout of the 18 rooms and the various spaces, the entrepreneur imagined a setting offering his guests a real break of well-being, refinement and escape.
“We played very gently on styles, materials and colors in total harmony with the soul of the place” explains this creator of universe who invites aesthetes in search of authenticity and excellence to recharge their batteries and discover the fabulous instinctive and seasonal cuisine of Michelin-starred chef Christophe Chiavola. In the winter time our restaurant is closed every sunday evening, monday and tuesday.

Hotel Raphael is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful area of Rome. The service team at the hotel were very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed their roof top terrace which offer beautiful views of Rome. The dining options at the hotel are excellent. Their breakfast is very good and we enjoyed some of their restaurant dishes on their terrace. Overall, a wonderfully located hotel that was a pleasure to visit.

Hotel is in a great location and easy walk to all the star locations, including 25 walk to Vatican. Breakfast is wonderful with a harpist playing. Delicious food but vegetarian. Wonderful rooftop bar. A bit pricy for our stay but not much more than other places so delta was small. Staff was wonderful.

Our stay at the hotel was almost perfect, except for an incident at the TV room where a single individual was speaking loud in his i-phone for one hour and turned the volume of the TV off while I was watching a program. I complained at the reception but no action was taken. Only after the said individual left, someone came and offered to turn on the volume, but it was too late. The program I was interested in had ended half an hour earlier.
The ambience at breakfast time with the harp player was especially pleasant and even quite relaxing. Both artists were real professional and their repertory was excellent. Congratulations to them.

The room was perfect and beautiful. Unfortunately on my 2nd day in Italy I fell and broke my ankle. The second the staff saw me they got a wheelchair and made sure my accommodations were met immediately. One of the gentleman who worked there named Benny is studying to be a PA and went over the entire report with me being it was all in Italian and at the hospital no one spoke English. If I go back to Rome one day no doubt I would stay anyplace else. Thank you Hotel Bio Raphaël for a beautiful stay.

The hotel was luxurious. My wife enjoyed the Dyson hair dryer and straightener. The bathroom was spacious and the room was clean. The adjustable bed made sleeping perfect. The service was impeccable. Stayed two nights in early July and had a near perfect experience. The staff are wonderful - so friendly and helpful with reservations etc. The hotel is immaculate, with fresh, well-designed rooms. There is a wonderful patio bar/restaurant on the roof with amazing views of the city. With its central location you can walk pretty much everywhere. We had a terrific stay here. Highly, highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding English speaking support services at the front desk. They were so helpful with dinner reservations, transportation, everything. It was also in a great central location to walk to everything. Had a fun vibe around the area too. I had also emailed them prior to arrival to confirm transportation options, dinner reservations, etc. and they were so responsive and accommodating! Great all around. I would definitely stay again.

Great hotel in general but the Richard Meier Executive Deluxe Room? Proceed with caution. The photos for this room category clearly show arm chairs or other seating. Yet my room was barely big enough for a bed, with a tiny desk and desk chair in the corner. I raised the discrepancy and was upgraded to a Richard Meier Executive Suite, so I never saw another “Deluxe” room to compare. As a family of four, we found our stay at this establishment to be quite enjoyable. Upon our arrival, we were surprised to discover that the entire culinary selection was vegetarian. However, we acknowledge that the responsibility for this oversight lies with us, not the hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and it was evident that efforts were being made to maintain the traditional Roman theme. Nevertheless, we believe that some degree of modernisation would enhance the overall experience and maybe having some type of bar in the lobby would be cool with a piano player.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I have a mixed reaction. The location is excellent, the staff is outstanding, and the service and facilities are first-rate. But my room was very small, far too small for a couple to share. I had to squeeze between the desk (not usable as a desk) and bed to get to the far side of the room where there was only a small chair stuck in the corner so tight that the wall molding poked me in the back. The lights made a bad buzzing sound that made me not want to use them. The size of the room made it not a good value, considering the cost of the hotel. The exceptionally well appointed bathroom was so small you had to turn sideways to get in it (and I'm not large) and you keep knocking into door handle or sink or tub. But I do want to emphasize how outstanding the staff is, how welcoming and helpful, and how great the location and the amenities. I'd stay there again, but only with a bigger room--and maybe different lights (a weird complaint, perhaps, but the buzzing was really loud and intrusive).
