.1st hot water was not working at all
.toilet was clogged
.smelled like mold .furniture was from the 80’s broken down had no control of the AC . outlet broke my wire to my charger
. puddle of water when i first walk in room was not clean
.had to ask multiple times for extra towels floors were musty moist due to the mold
. food was horrible Breakfest , lunch & dinner
. I fell and twisted my Ankel & was bleeding and the front desk could not do anything for me not even give me a band aide
.phone in the room did not work the whole 5 days I was there . no room service communication was horrible we would complain to the front desk nothing was done and was told us that when we went to el pilón they was going to compensate us with a bottle of wine for all the mishaps and when we got there they didn’t know what we was talking about
I ask for credit and was told no I would not suggest this resort to anyone nor will I ever go back wish i can get my money back My ankle is still swollen and bruised cause they wasn’t able to provide me with no type of 1st Aid Kit not even a band aide so disappointed

Pros-Honestly the best food I ever had at any all inclusive anywhere. Legitimately really good food. The rodizio was fantastic. Pools are great, staff is super nice, easy to get drinks at bars and towels at pool.

Cons- outdated rooms, small bathrooms, too much travel needed for nightly entertainment(not easy if you have kids&strollers)wish beach was nicer. Pretty noisy at night.

Overall-the good far outweighs the bad. I would definitely stay here again and recommend them.

Old resort, the room is outdated, old towels with wholes, stains on the ceiling, pillows feel like rocks, we couldn’t control the ac. I think it’s on purpose because they have a time sharing system so you are desperate to upgrade for a better room. Employees are friendly and hard workers. The beach service is great. The pool is dirty we didn’t get inside. The entertainment at night was fun. Another problem loud peacocks during the whole night, poop in our balcony daily. We are not going back to this chain next time.

They treated us without respect , we arrived before 3:pm and they told me to come back at 3:30pm
I went back at 3:40 Pm and then they told me only one room was available out of 5 we booked and so we had to wait until 5pm they finally gave us the rooms. We were happy after waiting a long time, but the rooms ended up being uncleaned(Terrible) and had no towels ,I requested to change my sons room because the bathroom had mold in it and the ceiling was unsafe looked like it was falling apart, they changed my sons room for a better one but we still had no towels until they dropped them off after 11:pm!
The first day wasted, we reserved 3days and 2 nights ,and my brother his wife and my husband left the next day unhappy.
They were trying to help us because I told them that I was ready to contact Travelocity, and so they changed all room for better ones, but super late the next day. My children decided to stay just to go to the beach the food was also terrible , if you want something better to eat you have to make a reservation but the time for reservation are until 11am and they don't tell you before , waste of money and time for me. It was a discrimination because we are Dominican, they told us not refunds, I told them I just want a clean room,
100% Do not recommend it ,

The room was clean and the staff is very attentive however the set up is weird as there is no separate bathroom. Instead there is a bathroom and shower stall and a sink. You have to buy WiFi but they would not sell it to us because it was down most of the time. The property is beautiful, lots of pools and beach beds and chairs, the beach is gorgeous. The food is ok, not too many selections at the buffet - and the restaurants are not authentic.

The bathroom smelled like a backed up sewer. WIt was so bad that we had to keep the bathroom door closed the entire time. House keeping were amazing. The staff at the buffet / dining hall seemed miserable and didn’t want to be there. They never restocked our room’s mini fridge after the first day we arrived. The door to our balcony stopped opening and had to be repaired. The toilet paper holder was off the wall and had to be repaired. Every time we showered the water leaked out of the shower and all over the room.

Based on our experience, the room and areas around pools did not look at all like the pictures (which were probably taken decades ago...). The room was horrible, run down looking, furniture dilapidated, toilet was leaking, AC was extremely loud and not possible to adjust at all, some areas with mold, etc..., But the worst was the constant noise and music from the main restaurant that was just few steps from the room. The noise and music was from early morning, throughout the day and evening, into the night and continued during the night until early in the morning when restaurant started to prepare for breakfast... We asked for a room change twice and were told no other rooms are available. After 3 sleepless nights we ended our stay 4 days early. A huge disappointment.

Pictures shown are from several properties that you have access to. You have to take a trolley to the best pools and beach. Everything is going up and down stairs, to go eat, the pool the bars, especially the beach. If you are old or have bad knees you avoid this place

My experience with this resort was horrible. While the serving and maintenance-staff was very attentive and professional. I arrived and was told that my reservation had been switched to their low budget resort. I spoke to multiple people and explained that I booked my reservation with tropical beach resort not with cofresi . The staff ignored me and insisted that it was the same because they were all under the same chain a.k.a. lifestyle. Well, I would like to assure you that it was not. Cofresi is a rundown resort with outdated and dirty rooms. I spent a good part of 24 hours of my 72 hour reservation going back-and-forth with them and telling them that I did not want to be at Cofresi. After 24 hours of going back-and-forth with them they finally switched us to the tropical beach resort. The rooms were clean, but the TV didn’t work the plumbing wasn’t all that great and after spending a day of pleading my case for something that I paid full price for and I didn’t receive I was exhausted and couldn’t really even enjoy myself. The property is beautiful. The views are spectacular, but the resort is not well maintained. This was my first time booking with this resort and it will be my last. My overall experience was terrible moving forward. I will just book with the resorts that I am used to here on the island.

There was an issue with check in and they moved rooms around without communication to our party prior too so the other 2 groups that booked at the same time were all on different sides of resort.

Food at buffet and dominican restaurant and selection was great. The reservation process for the restaurants is inconvenient and unaccommodating.

The rooms on the Tropical side need to be renovated. The showers you have to hold the handle or the water spills out of shower. large gap our front door.

The bars only serve limited menu. The VIP beach bar was great ! Service was great and was a fun environment. parade and foam party were great on tropical side .
on confresi side - pool needed to be cleaned and swim up bar under caves that was advertised was closed and seemed as if it was not used in a while.

This resort bands the members with colored bands and members are treated differently based on how they are tagged by your booking .
if you are not a memeber “no “ is often heard including the only place for the kids to get ice cream in harmony beach. ( mape said all guests) resort staff said no.
overall had a good time due to the company. will not book at this resort again. Surprised that this is an expedia choice. Resort is made more for memberships / timeshares if you want decent service. Icing on the cake.i don’t bring jewelry on trips. I had one necklace that was with my toiletries that I took off when I went to the pool and it was taken from my room. very obvious

Overall our stay was ok other than the need to do request upgrades on rooms and furniture. The incorrect rooms were provided at time of check in resulting in furniture arrangements. Also the bed was to old and uncomfortable in all 3 rooms we booked, tv didn’t work and we called for assistance and nobody came to fix it. Food was excellent. Lastly the Bar Tender at the pool bar would always demand tips, making comments like “ you have been here for 3 days now no tips”. Again overall the stay was ok, resort, pools beach all beautiful but truly expected a better stay especially since this was our first time at this resort.

It's a timeshare property, so expect to be constantly hounded to take a tour. The resort is many resorts and condos combined so there is lots of walking and tons of stairs so it is not suitable for handicapped or older guests. The claim of the multitude of bars and restaurants is deceiving. More than half are for timeshare owners only, and they get preference for all restaurant reservations even if you are in line when the concierge opens. Expect to eat at the buffet or at 9 pm. Liquor is well brands only and very weak. Property is poorly maintained with broken toilets, hot tubs and fixtures everywhere. Sand is dark and most beaches are reserved for owners only. The highlight was the peacocks. The town of Puerto Plata is also run down. Opt for Punta Cana instead. Resorts and beaches there are far superior.

We got dropped off at the lifestyle Tropical lobby and we got told there were no room for us and they deceived us saying we got an upgrade to The Cofresi. Well that was a lie of course. We had yo wait for transportation for cofresi lobby, we got checked in and the rooms were a downgrade to say the least. Two days into vacation rooms on 1st flr got floded it took over 2 hrs to clear the water out. 3rd day one room had plumbing issues and 4th day the ceiling paint of my moms rooms created a giant bubble with the rain water, it was reported and instead of putting her to a dif room, they popped the buble and moped the floor. So when she went back, we notced all the mold the was underneath the paint. Why we got a reservation for the Tropical if they didnt have enough rooms? I didnot get ehat i paid for. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

A couple things:
There are actually 2 resorts here, so make sure where you book your room. You WANT to be booked at Tropical beach, NOT Confresi beach. This wasnt clear when we booked, so we were shocked to see Confresi was our actual destination, because the photos in the listing shows rooms from Tropical.

1st Night: our Confresi room, 20412, was ROUGH! Black mold on the lamp between the 2 beds, and in the washroom there was har everywhere! We took videos and photos, even in the tub! Went to complain at 9pm, they said they would send someone to clean it. After an hour, no one came, so we went back, and were told to wait until just past 11pm before someone came, went with us to look, and then agreed that it was disgusting, and that we should get a new room, so he gave us one right there.

On day 2, people called us for breakfast, offering to drive us to our buffet venue, which was followed by an offer for a couple hours tour, where they try and convince you to buy timeshares in their villas. So simply tell them you are not interested in the tour. They will hasle you for the first 3-4 days, everyday someone new, asking you if you have gone on the tour yet. Just tell them no, or tell them you already went, thank you...

I highly recommend the Italian restaurant. The mexican Tex Mex was ok. The Buffet gets boring, so I would recommend the other available restaurants.

Staff was only nice if you tipped them.

The food was terrible I got food poisoning. The restaurants are hard to get a reservation at so expect buffet food for most of the trip (which is terrible). You had to PAY for wifi which we weren’t aware of before we got there. Reviews said it was good night life and Dominican culture but there is NO nightlife in the resort. Not a spot for young people. Only old people and families with young teenagers. Would never come back.

This is an update to a review I posted on day one of my trip. When we first checked in, the front desk at the resort had moved us to a different, lower quality, section of the resort. Thank goodness for the friendly, amazing staff at Guest Services! Aris and Angelica, saved our vacation! Angelica, the Expedia concierge, was amazing in helping to sort out our room. She kept in contact with us via Whatsapp throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well with our stay. Angelica went above and beyond!

As far as the resort goes, this place is MASSIVE!! Easy to get lost, even with maps and signs everywhere. Be prepared to walk a lot, up and down many stairs as the resort is built on a hill overseeing the ocean. The view is spectacular! As for the amenities, there are so many but unless you’re a VIP member, you only get access to about a third of them. Only 1 free hour of wifi a day for non members or unless you pay for it, no complementary safe for non members, and the two buffets available to non members were very underwhelming. Non members also don’t have access to the coffee shop or ice cream shop, which was a bummer. The a la cart restaurants, if you can secure reservations, that we were able to get into were delicious! Over all, for the right price, we would return.

I would not recommend this resort for families with small children or foodies. The food was terrible, spoiled and some of the cooks were using the sample meats that were sitting there for hours and feeding it to guests. The workers were not flexible when it came to requests for milk for small child. The upgraded rooms are nice and the place is clean. I would not stay in this resort. And if you happen to be there upgrade your bands so you have better food at least for lunch. The specialty restaurants were okay, but you are only able to do two and usually is the leftover restaurants. Not very organized. They say call back for cancellations, but that is very unlikely that you’ll get anything.

The air conditioner didn’t work in the first room. Room was very dirty. Changed rooms and had no hot water for the rest of the stay. Also lost powers for a day. Staff was not friendly. The food and drinks throughout the hotel was horrible. You should remove Lifestyles Punta Cana from the Expedia site. All of the guests we met were unhappy with the resort.

The area itself was really nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Everything seemed great but it is not fully inclusive, many things you have to pay additional for with American prices. Other than that everything was great UNTIL I went to my hotel room. We were completely catfished by the photos. It looked like I was in a cheap, motel and I like I would probably get attacked by bedbugs, there was a roach just hanging out, and the toilet did not have running water. I called to get the toilet fixed twice and it flushed the first time but when I went to go use the bathroom after it wouldn’t flush. I requested to change my room, it looked a little bit better but nothing like the photos we flushed the toilet to make sure it was working everything seemed fine until we went to use the bathroom and had a reason to flush, it would not flush just like the other room. I would go again only if I was put in a room where everything works and doesn’t look like I’ll be murdered in my room

Where to start... The pictures on the site is not what the pictures look like in the room. It is a big complex, it shows the room of the villas, rooms if you sign up to their vacation club/timeshare. My family was there for a week; they can only book you for two restaurants on the site. The other nights you have eaten the same buffet. Also, the restaurants advertised on the website, you can not eat there unless you are a member of the vacation club. The television didn't work all week, also no wifi all week. The entertainment stops at 10 pm on site. So you are forced to go to sleep early because there is nothing else to do but look at the walls in the room. All bottom shelf alcohol, my suggestion when land by alcohol at the airport and take it with you. My room key stopped every night. I had to get it fixed everyday which was aggravating. Overall, I hated my experience and will not ever return.

The only great thing was our Expedia lady, who helped book our excursions, meals, and room exchange. She was so, so nice. We understood she didn't make our experience horrible; she did all she could to make it better, but a lot of things were out of her control.

Room itself was very nice but in order to take a hot shower you needed to let it run for a minimum of a half an hour, no exaggeration, and then the drain doesn’t work properly so you have water all over the floor outside of the shower. The TV went out from today to Monday due to a storm it continued to rain over the weekend, which the resort cannot help, but you had nothing to do but sit and watch static. The only thing that saved the trip is the staff quite honestly they are all so welcoming, nice, courteous and just good people overall. The resort doesn’t keep up on things and the place has gone downhill since our first visit in 2017, Confresi looks like a hurricane just washed up on the beach with pipes showing through the sand bottom of steps eroded away it is horrible what this resort is turning into. The place is more concerned about getting you to buy into the scam of a vacation club rather than up keeping what they have already.

I booked two Superior Rooms at Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort in Cofresi through Expedia, but upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was oversold and were relocated—without our consent or Expedia’s approval—to Palm Beach Cofresi, a lower-category property not even listed on Expedia. After a long drive, we accepted the relocation, only to find the rooms in very poor condition, with broken bathrooms, damaged bathtubs, humidity issues, and even a room without electricity. Expedia representative Annel worked to arrange a room change, but the alternatives were no better.

With further help from Expedia’s online support, we were moved to acceptable rooms after 11:00 p.m., and the next day—thanks to continued intervention—we were finally placed in the hotel we had originally booked and paid for. This was my worst experience with a hotel chain, and I would not stay with Lifestyle Holidays again. On the positive side, Expedia’s customer service was excellent. Special thanks to Annel, Jennifer, and Claudia, whose support was key to saving our family trip.

La habitación estuvo muy buena a excepción de que no había agua caliente. No nos agregaron cerveza en la nevera y el café en todo el hotel no sabía bien, sabía aguado y quemado.

Pero las atenciones del personal opacaron todo eso, excelente servicio al cliente y la comida muy buena.

We stayed at Lifestyle Holidays Resort in Tropical Building 5, and as always, it was clean, practical, and so much fun. The food was excellent—Casablanca never disappoints, and the steak at Blue Lagoon was absolutely perfect.
My favorite thing about this resort is the staff. They truly make the experience unforgettable. Danny and Rachelle at the VIP beach bar are wonderful and always welcoming. The chef at Zen is incredibly talented. We lounged on the beach beds most days during our two-week stay, and Estalin at the pool knew exactly which bed I liked—he had it ready as soon as he saw us every day.
At Casablanca, Jackie and Oscar were amazing. They remembered what we drank every morning and night, which made us feel so cared for. Carlos from the spa gave us a great deal, and we enjoyed the steam room daily along with fantastic massages.
We did water aerobics every day and joined in fun games with Black Panther, Brown Sugar, and Bongino—always a great time. Everyone truly made us feel like family, and we can’t wait to return.
A special shout-out to Churros, the Mexican restaurant just outside the resort—amazing food and staff as well. Lifestyle really pampers you and makes you feel at home.

Cons: A tour of the property is both a tour and a sales pitch for their membership. Tour is optional as per their policy. Employees are very sales aggressive, their sales pitch is even more aggressive, to the point where you begin to get mad. Food was 4star, maybe a little less. I did not have hot water and asked multiple people repeatedly with no avail. Just make sure you check before unloading your luggage. Some areas are off limits to non-members, but not enough areas to make you angry/annoyed. Would not recommend going outside the resort without a tour guide. Family resort/ retirement vibe, limited mating options. Pop or Soda is limited and most of the time is from a 2 liter. Room was not the same as in the pictures and did not have a ocean view.

Pros: Friendly staff outside of sales. Beautiful property, top of the line. Beautiful rooms, cleaning ladies everyday. Facilities/entertainment/ pools 10/10. Family resort/ retirement vibe. Beach access and area is unbelievable plenty of beach beds for everyone, most spots have shade over them as well. Small pools alongside them with two bars and a mini sushi restaurant. Booked a nice restaurant included in the price every night. Access to all the other resorts pools on the property. Shuttle was great. Near Ocean world. If you're able to firmly say no to a sales pitch it's worth going on the tour/sales pitch it'll show you what you have access to/don't. Overall excellent trip.
