The room was beautiful and very clean. As a solo female traveller felt safe and taken care of. The rooftop terrace was very pleasant and the staff were helpful and generally lovely.

Nice hotel for a short stay on Marrakech

This is a lovely, clean hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. The pool was often quiet with only ourselves there. It is smaller than the images suggest and only has 1 step which is steep making it difficult to get out. The sunloungers are close to the ground but comfy enough. The hotel provides pool towels.

Breakfast was buffet style and you could help yourself to as much or as little as you wanted. We also had lunch on our first day which was reasonably priced. The food was nice.

The room was reasonably sized, clean and adequate for our stay. The fridge wasn't very cold but cooled our water enough. The aircon made the room a nice temperature for sleeping. Our shower was temperamental meaning we had to hold it with one hand whilst showering but the water temperature was good. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels provided and rose petals sprinkled in the bathroom and on the beds. There was a hairdryer provided in the room and we had everything we needed for our stay.

There is no lift but someone escorted us to our room with our suitcase meaning we only had to take it down when checking out.

The hotel is on a busy street but the noise was limited.

Overall this is a nice hotel and would recommend for a short stay in Marrakech.

This is a great riad, ideally located walking distance to to at attractions including Jeema el Fna market. I would call it diamond in the rough. Extremely well run and cared for by properly trained staff. Thank you Riad Bahia Salam for a wonderful stay!

The riad was nice, but it was very noisy because of the stone structure, you could hear the moving furnitures and people walking and talking. The first night was in a room facing the street and was impassible to fall asleep as there's constant traffic throughout the night. The wifi was very spotty and depended on the location you are at. The room service unlocked the door without knocking while I was in the room. At the last night of the stay, had food poisoning because of the food at the riad, but when complain to the front desk, their response was \"the food was good, no?\", no apologies no nothing.

Everything down to the airport transfer, to check in/out, to the dining was smooth and great! The hotel was beautiful and very clean, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful at all times. The pool is a lot smaller than I expected, but does not take away from the greatest of the hotel or the time I had. Will be back and would recommend.

This is a lovely little place situated close to all the local places you want to visit. It is beautifully decorated and serves great breakfasts. All the staff (Reception, restaurant, cleaners) were friendly, kind, helpful and courteous at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We loved staying here.

Did not like them messing up our room and then giving us free massages to make up for it when we were checking out - not very helpful when leaving the city. Beautiful riad in a convenient location. A great rooftop terrace and pool which is a sun trap. No alcohol served but you can BYO. Friendly staff. Only downside was that I booked the hotel specifically for the spa and wasn’t informed by the hotel that it was closed for maintenance. The work and noise also started at 8am. Otherwise would definitely recommend.

Lovely Riad in heart of Old Marrakesh

Upon arrival we were greeted at Riad Bahia Salam by the front desk that invited our family to go to the rooftop pool area to relax and enjoy a cup of mint tea- we arrived early in morning and rooms were not available for check in yet- the pool area is wonderful. Just what we needed after an early morning of travel. At noon we were shown to our rooms which were lovely- beds were very comfortable and each room had its own unique decor. It’s location is within walking distance of many tourist attractions- including the Medina- crazy fun experience. A full breakfast is included in your stay- We had an early tour pick up the next morning and the kitchen opened a bit early to accommodate our schedule. Everyone that worked here was so friendly. Thank you to everyone at the Riad Bahia Salam for making our Marrakesh experience memorable. We will definitely recommend your place to others.

Easy to find cosy Riad

Booked for my girlfriends birthday, we went in August it was hotter than a sauna (you have been warned) but the road was a great find, well worth it, close to all the main attractions.

Nice hotel close to everything

We were greeted at the hotel with a mint tea on the roof terrace by the pool. Our room was a good size, with large wardrobes and a small fridge. The lighting was a little dark but manageable for the short time we spent in our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit of a let down, it was the same every day- roti, pancake and picklet with jam or honey. You can request eggs but this wasn't made clear! They provide some fruit and yoghurt which was nice. They do not provide water only a glass of orange juice tea or coffee. The pool area was nice to relax by and having a pool was a great relief from the dry heat! Overall the experience was good,we couldn't pay the tourist tax by card but was able to pay it with Diram and Euros. We were able to walk to the souks and most of Marrakesh's sites.

Amazing Stay!!

We had such a great stay at this Riad. The staff were so kind and helpful, anything you needed they would never hesitate to help. The location was so perfect just around the corner from the main square and souks, so we never needed to pay for taxis anywhere (not that they were very expensive). We were very sad to leave this truly morrocan style hotel as we had such a pleasant stay.

Very Easy to find and close to Medina.

Booked a 4 night stay for my girlfriends birthday in mid August. I'd say you probably don't need more that 3 nights to explore all that Marrakech has to offer. This Riad was very Easy to find as its on the main road not down a back alley and close to Medina, just a 10 min walk.

The staff at the Riad were simply awesome helping us time and time again with the numerous queries we had.

Also if you are visiting Marrakech be carful of people telling you everything is closed when it is not.

Nice hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle

- hotel staff were very friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay
- bedrooms were well air conditioned, cleaned regularly and generally rather comfortable
- cute little restaurant on the terrace
- Muslim travellers may feel uncomfortable with a mixed swimming pool and lack of toilet washing facilities
- bathroom facilities could have been much better
- great location if you'd like to regularly visit the shops in the alley ways (close to a variety of gold and takchita dress shops) as well as Jema al-Fna; close to Bahia Palace
- again, i cannot fault the hotel staff as they were incredibly helpful as the whole family had fallen very ill and they were trying so hard to contact doctors etc.

The room was very small as we had 3 people in the room we had a fold up bed which was not a proper bed very uncomfortable for your back they had a restaurant at the top which only does breakfast. When booking it they said they do other meals as I booked half board would not recommend this hotel as you could get much better one in other places for that price

Beautiful Riad Good value but needs maintenance

The people working at the Riad are lovely however our air conditioner was broken the first night and then the toilet went out. Both were fixed the next day but that is why my rating for condition is low. The pool is tiny but comfortable but the hours are limited. The neighborhood is close to everything but don't even think about heading to the souks without an official guide...you can thank me later. Good value and the waitstaff are exceptional!

Located between Jma ak Fna and the Jewish quarter, this Riad is on the main road, so need to walk in drag narrow lanes at night. Inside yiu do nit hear any noise and tranquility takes over with air condition in every room.
The rooftop with its small swimming pool is pretty and staff is friendly and helpful.

Lovely Riad with Rooftop Pool

The Riad was a beautiful get away from Marrakesh. With a rooftop pool and also located close to the plaza and palaces but the rooftop is a peaceful place to relax. The staff are also amazing. Booked all our excursions, transfers and where helpful to tell us what to see an do. The staff also spoke many languages so it wasn't a problem to communicate. If you are looking for a sunny spot with a pool Riad Bahia Salam is your place. But please note that the pool is only open from 9:00-19:00.

We had a lovely stay here and would recommend this Riad. It's very close to the square but near enough to the square entrance to find very easily. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. If I'm being picky, then I would say each room could have tea/coffee making facilities but all in all, I would definitely recommend this riad.

After a warm welcome I was directed to the lovely terrace with a glass of mint tea and then helped with everything. On a main street near to souls and attractions but easy to find (essential in a maze-filled city that dates back a 1500 years!)

This was a nice place, easy to get to yet still on the edge of the Medina. The rooms were small and dark, even though we booked a suite, and the heat never really worked. We were cold most of the time we were there - yes, it does get cold in Morocco. Not great, and not terrible either. Good for the price.

Value for money, close to airport and main square

Arrival a bit dodgy, with the hotel forgetting to pick us up from airport. We checked in early though and the staff are absolutely lovely and super friendly. Most are able to speak English, but a little bit of French helped us. Whilst the street can be noisy, the location is ideal at a less than ten min walk to the square with market and restaraunts. Pool and rooftop lovely to relax in when the weather gets too hot. Cleaning staff very good every day with fresh sheets and towels, although the shower did not stay up in our room but otherwise a perfectly clean bathroom with soap and gels provided as well as a decent hair dryer. A true Moroccan feel to the hotel, birds chirping and peaceful interior rooms. We didn't try the restaraunt as there wasn't much option for vegetarians but it would have been nice to eat on the rooftop. The wifi wasn't great upstairs, but downstairs fine. We booked quad biking through the reception staff which was easy and stress free. Breakfast was provided free from 7:30am and was bread, pastries and pancakes served hot and yoghurt with orange juice and tea/coffee. Slept well with extra pillows and blankets available, but air conditioning remote was a bit annoying to work but worked wonders out of the heat. would definitely recommend!

Memorable trip!

We had a fantastic 3 nights stay at this hotel. We were a family of 7 celebrating my daughters 21st and the staff went above and beyond! Special mention to Barac who organised a wonderful breakfast on the morning of her birthday and even went out and bought us some flowers to give her as a gift from us. So helpful and friendly. I can't recommend this hotel enough and the location was perfect, so close to the square and Souks. Thank you Riad Bahia Salam!!

Lovely Riad in a Perfect Location

Had a lovely stay at the Riad Bahia Salam! The entire staff was quite lovely, the location was perfect, the room was pretty much what I wanted / expected... There was WiFi throughout the place, which something I needed as I was working while staying there. The staff helped in so many ways, and paid great attention to detail. I had no complaints and would definitely go back.

A perfect oasis in Marrakech

We were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and immediately felt at home. The staff invited us to the rooftop terrace to take tea as they checked us in. It was the perfect welcome to Marrakech after a long, tiring journey. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We loved the complementary breakfast on the rooftop terrace with e view of the Grand Mosque in the distance. The pool was also a welcome treat as we came back from hot days in the market. We would definitely recommend Riad Bahia Salam!

In the heart of the Medina

Spotlessly clean riad in the heart of the medina. Staff were very friendly and willing to do anything to help you. Room was cleaned ever day with fresh towels etc. There were a couple of English speaking chanels on the tv. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I think this is probably the case in most hotels so take a travel kettle with you if you like a wee cuppa in your room. There was free Internet access throughout the hotel and in the rooms although we could not get a mobile signal in the 1st room we had which was in the basement. We asked to change room and we're given a room on the ground floor where we were able to get a signal. The breakfast room is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift so anyone with walking difficulties may struggle with the stairs. We took the No 19 Bus from the airport which drops you at the main square which is less than a 5 minute walk from the riad. This cost 50 Dirham for a return ticket per person.

I don't understand why people give the hotel 4* and 5* so many riad around better and more pretty I think the best of this hotel is the location.hotel looks different in pictures. Wasn't bad but i expect more for all the review i read and thr pic i saw in thr app. I stayed ine night then we go other riad. So beautiful and a real morroco style.

Beware when booking this riad with hotels.com

I emailed the riad roughly a month before we arrived to request a transfer. I received no confirmation back so it wasn't a surprise when we arrived in the airport that there was no one there to collect us so we had to get the bus.
When we finally arrived at the riad we were told they had not received a booking from hotels.com and were fully booked! Despite me having the confirmation email from hotels.com they said there was nothing they could do for us and took us round the corner to a nearby riad where the price per night was the same. The new riad had no pool, spa or terrace. The room stank of sewage. As it was now 11pm we had no choice but to accept staying there.
I have contacted hotels.com for a response on this and still haven't heard from them 2 days later. Beware when booking this riad with hotels.com! Either they double book or hotels.com does not confirm properly with them. Either way our holiday was ruined.

Brilliant Riad giving us a perfect break. It is within easy walking distance of all attractions as well as being accessible by taxi to the front door (Unlike a lot of others) The staff were all very pleasant, helpful, can't fault. The one best point is the swimming pool is on the roof with the sun terrace.
This will be the place we stay on our next visit to Marrakech.

This hotel is inside Old Marrakech aka \"The Medina\" and you simply need to walk outside its doors to be fully immersed in everyday Morrocon life! Staying at THIS location allowed me to have my BEST experience at being immersed in another culture! The hotel is VERY WELL maintained. The staff was friendly, great free wifi. The bkfast was forgettable but I don't care about bkfast. 5 minutes of walking lands you into the AMAZING Jemaa El Fna Square which is the highlight of life in Marrakech. This square will BLOW YOUR MIND!! I have never seen any place so saturated with culture, food, arts, folklore and a melting pot of ethnicities! Anyway, great hotel, there was construction on the room above me on my 2nd morning there, I called the desk to complain about the banging and they moved me to a suite on the other side!! How kool!

Great place to stay in a central quiet location

I took my wife for a surprise trip to Marrakesh and booked this Riad mainly for the pool and the location. The place is extremely clean, centrally located and only a couple of minutes walk from the Jeema el Fnaa square (which is certainly not the most exciting place to visit in Marrakesh).
It is easy to grap a taxi from the Riad to go to the new town for fancy restaurants (you should not pay more than 40 Dir-hams one way, at night).
The pool is great and very clean. It is relaxing right after breakfast and after a long day in Marrakesh.
The breakfast is delicious and you have plenty of food. Do not bother with eggs and croissant, just eat the Moroccan crepes that are made fresh just for you.
Most importantly, the staff is really, really nice and welcoming. We could enjoy good discussions, good advice and always with the smile.
Bottom line, do not look further, you found the best Riad in Marrakesh.

The friendliest staff we have ever met - nothing was too much trouble. The rooftop pool is a haven in Marrakech and the food is delicious (try their lamb, fig and walnut tangine). It was a shame that we were on the ground floor as the room window didn't open and the room did need some natural air, but I would still highly recommend this hotel.

Good find

Great location just outside the Medina, 2 minutes walk in. Plunge pool on roof a great addition after a long day sightseeing. Riads with this character with a pool were hard to find! Friendly staff. Breakfast very basic and the same every day.

Amazing riad

Lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Right in the middle of the medina and close to the souks.
The rooms were a great size, the spa was lovely with a beautiful terrace.

Hotel staff was very helpful and nice! Only downside was there was no internet in the lower floor and you had to go in the lobby. Overall it was a great stay though, thank you!

Nice one

As a way of avoiding Christmas in the UK this worked the best so far! Good hotel, rather dark everywhere, but clean and all the staff were very kind and helpful.Central location so easy to walk to many places. Having a spa in the basement was great.

Great Riad at stellar location

Family of three -- stayed here one night. It's a classy Riad with an absolutely stellar location, less than 5 minute walk to the central square. The Riad is also super easy to find compared to many other Riads in the medina. The interior decoration is impressive, and the roof terrace is lovely.

Nice oasis in the medina

We liked our stay at this hotel. The riad itself has beautiful architecture. We ate at the restaurant for dinner the first night and it was delicious and the price OK. The staff was helpful and nice and the room itself was good and functional. We had a hard time finding the hotel, but it's hard to find anything in the medina! Overall, we had a positive experience at this hotel. You felt calm and relaxed entering into it after exploring the chaos of the medina.

Friendly, authentic and relaxing

Friendly and helpful staff, nice location, authentic riad.Nice roof top with pool and sun loungers and views of the city and sunset. Simple but filling breakfast. There are several lounging rooms and areas with comfy couches to relax also. Easy to find by taxi. The room was pretty clean. The bed was not super wonderful and had a rickety frame (probably just our room) and there was some early morning kitchen noise on the bottom floor. I would stay here again.

Beautiful terrace.

Overall, we had a nice experience. Only downside was that the surrounding zone isn't very good-looking. The people who work there are willing to help, even if they don't show a very friendly attitude.

Beautiful riad, fantastic staff, good location

This was our first trip to Morocco. As arranged by email, a private driver was waiting to collect us at the airport. The charge was 15 euros (160 D) per person. We now know this was much more than we would have paid a regular licensed taxi (60-70 D).
The greeting we received at the riad was as if we were long lost family! We stayed 3 nights and really have no serious complaints. The riad itself is beautiful - a conversion of 2 traditional homes joined by a stunning open air courtyard, a mix of old and new. The roof has a restaurant, bar, pool, fabulous views and the staff are friendly, cheerful and nothing was too much to ask for.
The bedroom was clean, comfortable, good a/c, and quiet. Wi-fi throughout except on the roof. The basement houses a lovely spa with reasonably priced treatments. The front desk staff were fantastic. They booked us a driver to take us to Agadir and haggled furiously to get us a better price! When we wanted to book in to stay there on our return to Marrakesh the following week and they had no availability, they arranged for us to stay at another riad for the same rate.
The location is good, but at night everything looks the same so we did get lost trying to find it!

Lovely hotel, great location.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. The spa downstairs was an added bonus to finish off the stay. Small pool on the roof terrace is fine to cool off in. Powerful air con in the room was a welcome relief.
All in all a lovely traditional riad very close to the main square and a trip pick up point.
Breakfast on the roof terrace in the mornings was brilliant too.

We do not need to add much more to the amazing reviews shared thus far, simply fantastic. The stay exceeded our expectations. Nicely chilled, unassuming, breakfast at a time you want - perfect!
Great location - easy walk through the medina, Jamaa al fana and the new town.

Nice Riad bear el Fna, Bahia Palace & Saadian Tomb

Very friendly staff that is always willing to help. Nice comfortable room and I had no problem sleeping. That is saying a lot as I am a VERY squeamish about beds in hotels. It kinda freaked me out that I went to eat and came back to the bed comforters changed, but was glad because the pretty comfortable looked itchy. Be aware they do clean your room while you eat breakfast. They contacted me when my tour operator was looking for me and ensured I had transportation arranged by them to and from the airport. I understand that their may be cheaper taxis but being able to just walk up to the young man holding my name and Riad name was wonderful. I also paid through the hotel and not the taxi driver. Breakfast was very good, basic fruit (one oranges when I was there) bread, sweet roll, and then they bring fresh crepes, and other types of breads to the table with butter, marmalade, and honey. Plus fresh juice, coffee, chocolate for coffee, and teas. I looked forward to breakfast on the roof in the lovely tented breakfast area. Right off a main street but I felt safe, especially after I stayed out late and came back to realize I had to buzz to get in. But I wouldn't let my younger that teens out alone as it is a very busy and aggressive market area and strip.

The staff went way out of their way to help us. When the airline lost my luggage they coordinated with the airlines and a cab service to get my bags back, 5 Star rating across the board!

Lovely little Riad in a great accessible location. We caught the bus from the airport for 30p each! the Riad itself was ok. Nice roof terrace, average food. Nice friendly staff. Not all rooms have air-con though!

Easy to get to, very nice condition

The riad is in excellent condition, the staff is multilingual and very helpful, the rooftop is really something special. Only areas for suggested improvement are a bit more substantial breakfast and maybe replacing some of the mattresses and pillows with something softer. The riad is located right on a main road on the edge of the medina, in easy walking distance to Djemaa el-Fnaa.

Value for Money

The hotel was close to the centre and is not confusing to find your way back. As family the room was a little cramped but good for the money we paid. The facilities inside were clean.
The SPA was very good and staff were very helpful and excellent.

Fantastic hotel!! We felt like beeing 1001 night. Excellent service. The roof terrace was spectcular with great view to the Atlas mountins. The only thing that keeps me from rating 5 all over was that I could have wanted softer pillows

Nice place close to the central Medina square

Although the roads outside are unimpressive, once you enter the Raid , you will have a completely different experience. It is a very pleasant place to stay and staff are very polite and helpful. Rooms are well decorated.

Superb!

This is a lovely riad, beautifully decorated. We had a large, clean, comfortable room with sheets and towels changed daily. The lovely roof terrace is a calm oasis where you can relax with a mint tea after a hot day wandering around the medina. A good breakfast was provided every morning on the terrace too. The hotel is situated on a main road just a short walk from the square and all the noise and bustle of the medina, but inside it is quiet and peaceful. Because it is on a road, the taxi could drop us off at the door so we did not need a porter. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and service was very good. We would stay here again - highly recommended!

The people running this Riad are extremely nice. It's a short walk to the Market place. The breakfast is very good. The room was comfortable, however, it did take a few minutes for the hot water to finally kick in. The A/C worked fantastic and I felt very safe once inside the Riad. You would never know how beautiful it was if you didn't walk inside. This Riad is accessible by car which is very good.
