Please Stay away repeat STAY AWAY......... communication was awful they say call from room phone but no phone in room. Blood on sheets, roaches, homeless man. The WORST please ever. Not clean at all.

This property looks amazing in the photos you get there they have half the parking closed couldn’t park near our room because of this. The rooms were terrible gaps all around the door and you could tell they had been broke into plenty of times. Drugs being used right on the property as they property had no security or staff walking and making those people move on the pools were all closed because of contamination. Just a very unsafe place for a family

I booked for 3 nights Sep 19-21. The property, specifically the Building Spray, is very outdated and requires major renovation. I was given a password for the internet that doesn't work. TV is not working, I complained about it to the front desk she said she will put in a work order but nothing happened so I didn't have TV nor internet for the whole 4 days of stay. I killed a roach crawling around. There is a sign on the sliding door to the balcony that it is not safe to enter. None of the outdoor pools is useable. No ironing board, iron and coat hangers. Never again!

Don’t book here! There are no water park amenities and only 1 pool open that’s not contaminated or shut down by the state for the entire resort to use. Also if you enjoy sleeping with cockroaches then this is your jam.

I took and booked this online I get there having to pay a resort fee was not told that then I go to my room where the building it was so run down looking the elevator barely worked no one to help with luggage all the pools and water parks were shut down and get into my room with my dog there was no tv no toilet paper and no trash bags I called the number and they said it was because of the hurricane from last month and they said to go back to the office to ask them about all the other stuff so I did they didn’t have anything extra on hand and I asked them what am I supposed to do and they said nothing and the actual front desk didn’t even have phones they were having to messge the manger no response at all bc house keeping was gone it was the worst of the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel especially it supposed to be a resort. Then I was trying to find another hotel in the area to go to bc I told them I was checking out paying all this money for what??!! I’m in my car and 4 police suvs pull up I thought it was for me but it was for the hotel they blocked me in I could t get out they waked right in to the front desk and I really was not going to stay there at all I wouldn’t leave my dog there alone bc place was not safe. I give this hotel resort what ever it’s supposed to be a 0 out of 0 stars I will make sure to read the reviews from now on and don’t want anyone else to have to experience this and also got my money back from the hotel

Awful experience. Confusing layout (multiple buildings, separate parking). Staff with limited English had me photograph a tattered map taped on the counter (no physical maps available). Paid $45 resort fee despite unusable amenities (\"no swimming\" pool). Unlabeled card key. Paper bracelets were mandatory for security and resort use. Room in different building, unclear floor (elevator to second floor, then stairs). Poorly lit property, faded building name. Dirty room next to stairs, minimally furnished. Broken amenities (TV, fridge), noisy AC, clogged sink, sandy floor/bedding, dead cockroach. Worse conditions for two other families with us (cockroach infestations). Unresponsive front desk, broken phone number. Another family received an alternative room (no improvement, filthy, scary elevator). We moved to another hotel. This place should be removed from hotels.com.

Nothing compares to the pictures in the website dirty place totally desorganización and not control of what room are ready I’ll arrive at 3:15pm and I finally got my room at 9:00pm and the give me someone else room my husband almost got bitten for a dog when he opened the door so we went back to the office finally got a dirty room with sand on the floor and bug around the floor bathroom dirty we couldn’t open the balcony door because still under construction and the waters park that shows on the picture is dry un functional

The room had a few dead water bugs in we had to go across the street to the pool it say Ocean View but we did not have a ocean view then the TV did not work they said it was out so they said we will get a credit and 5 to 7 Days of our Resort fee have yet to receive a resort fee the one good thing is is right at the beach and you didn't have to walk far and the people at the front desk were nice I would only use this Motel if you was just using it to sleep in at night

I truly feel bad having to provide such a low star rating in all categories, however this has been the most disappointing property I have EVER stayed at! The main lazy river and pool areas are closed, they appear to be empty for quite some time, at least 2-3 other pools are closed around the property, all room doors and building surfaces,
Exteriors are chipping or have major work needed, indoor pool bottom surface needs a new liner as it looks extremely old and chipping, and the only operational pool next to the indoor pool was also in mediocre condition with a lot of debris especially in the 1ft area…. We saw a roach in our room, and just about everything looks like its at least 20 years old inside the rooms, and the exteriors are all in original/deteriorating condition because the hotel was built in the 50’s, and it doesnt look like any effort has been made with the upkeep of the property. Every arcade or other amenity type space is closed and full of junk, most ice machines inoperable. Truly disappointing experience overall.

Tenants have to wait for room to be ready even after 16:00 and check-in. They have 6 hours to clean 10am-4pm, but even after check-in we forced to wait. Staff is not responsive and delaying room readiness for hours.
When asked when the room will be ready, the staff replies: we don’t know, we’ll inform you once it ready.

Water park was shut down and outside the rooms were a little dirty…. No it was kind of a mess. The room was clean and tidy, but they need more renovations. Old microwave and old appliances in room. Old shower and bathrooms. My 9 year old stated , “Yeah it’s pretty bad.” Staff was great and available. Excellent manners and wanted to assist in every way! If some changes are made we would love to see everything working :).

I'm just going to be honest here. We have gone to this hotel a few times because it's low cost and it's not \"that bad\", but if you're looking for something nice, it's not where you want to be. The main pool area looked like it hadn't been in use for years. The one that most people would probably want to use. The other pools around the property were fine and clean. The room was clean. No bugs. We had a beautiful ocean view. None of the ice machines worked, the elevator had a horrendous smell, and was dirty and sounded awful. The cable didn't work. The staff were average. Nothing wrong, just not exceptional. There were a lot of homeless people walking around. It's probably a good place for college kids or cheapskates lol. We really did enjoy ourselves, but it's definitely not high quality. I'm sure it exists, but it wasn't that bad of a place. I know my standards are pretty low, but I'm being straight forward about it. The inside hallways were not cleaned regularly. Basically, this looks like it may have been a really nice place at one time, but it was not kept up. The gym was also shut down and so was the jacuzzi and inside pool. Not the best, but not the worst either.

Our fridge stopped working and all our food went bad. The room floor was visibly dirty like it hasn’t been cleaned in forever. The couches, and chairs were so dirty they weren’t their original color anymore. Were also visibly dirty to sight. The balcony was locked, even when we booked an oceanfront room. Nowhere did it mention the hotel room balcony was going to be closed for “renovation” in that case that whole hotel building should’ve been closed if we didn’t get what we were paying for which was oceanfront and to be able to be out in the balcony in FRONT OF THE OCEAN. Couldn’t get a hold of no one in the main office. Called 5 times and no one picked up. TV’s did not work. One turned on and was programmed very bad with the remotes to the point where buttons did not match the operation of the tv and button. The internet provided for “guest” never popped up available. Second day stay our rooms weren’t cleaned up and stocked again with toilet paper. We had to go ask for a refill on toilet paper and towels. Do not recommend at all to book at this hotel. We’ve stayed at cheaper hotels that have been way better than this one.

Checked in at 11:30! They stated our room wasn’t ready and they would call us to pick up key when room was ready! 4pm no call we went back to check in and the room still wasn’t ready! At 5:30 still no call!! After flying from 1215 am west coast to the east coast we really needed to get into a room and make the decision to book a nearby hotel! Never received a call! Dealing with a full refund by resort and Expedia will take time due to never staying there!! Pool slides no operational! Lobby carpet look like it’s never been vacuumed! Worst so called resort we’ve ever not stayed in!

Front desk staff rude and very very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this property to someone I didn’t like it was so bad. Gave me a room on 10th floor and elevator would only go to the 8th floor room had Sheetrock falling off the walls and dirty with hair on all fixtures of the bathroom. I had went to ask for another room but the front desk staff was very rude in what ever I was explaining to them so they gave me my money back and I went elsewhere so if I could give negative numbers on the survey well you know what I’m trying to say DONT STAY HERE!!

Terrible stay. There was no working television’s nor any working internet. When I went to complain about tv not working I was informed that they had been out for 2 weeks. This is information that should be giving before booking. There is also limited areas to swim. Most of their pools are closed. Would not recommend anyone to stay at this location. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!. Listen to me when i say the price is not worth the trouble. First, none of the rooms have working tvs. We were switched to 2 different rooms. First room had stained sheets and wasnt oceanfront as requested. 2nd room was trashed with dirty diapers, feminine pads, and a multitude of other trash. 3rd and final room the bathroom light didnt work, bathroom ceiling leaked the entire time, electrical sockets were hanging out the wall in the bathroom, and our room door wouldnt stay locked or closed. Had to hunt down housekeeping to get clean sheets to change our beds because they wouldnt. Had to hunt down maintenance multiple times, as he said no one told him about the room issues. Then they stated they wouldnt process a partial refund because we stayed. No remorse, no apologies, and they wouldnt answer the phone to speak with Hotels.com to discuss the issues. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I booked this last minute and I paid the price for it. The room was literally dirty! Dirt on the floor, sand on the floor etc. The room door wouldn’t stay shut unless you slammed it! There’s no linen services. The only good was the pool because clearly no one was there. I have never stayed in a place like this and my impulsivity for a weekend getaway when so many hotel were booked, resulted in me staying in this nasty place. Never again.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice lady. We checked and they let us know that the internet and cable was done. We fight a day or so it would be back on, but it never did the entire week we were there. We went to our room only find that it was beyond trashed and no beds. It was also not the room we had booked online which was supposed to be an ocean view. We went back to the front desk and showed them pictures we took and pretty much threw a fit. They put us in another room which was supposed to be the original room we paid for in the first place. It was dirty so we cleaned it up to our standards. When we arrived, they tried to charge us $130.00 more than what our original booking was and we flat out refused. They said ok, but due to the water park not being open which was the main reason we booked this place in the beginning we were very unsatisfied with this establishment. It was an absolute rip off and we will never use this establishment again. Extremely unsatisfactory and dialysis this hotel.

That was horrible, pool wasn't work, I don't have blanket in my Boths rooms, no toilet papers and my Boths room, I have to go to the office a block away to get it and guess what ?? Someone hit my car and run, are you serious? Yes and now I have my car hit without anyone to be responsable for the hit, and when I do my reservations shows a beautiful water park in the property and when I get there they told me is not working? Lastimosamente la edición de las fotos es increíble para engañar a la gente, entiendo que es una propiedad gigante y muy muy antigua, difícil de manejar si las instalaciones son pésimas, totalmente descuidadas, solo funcionaba 1 piscina y a las demás parece que les había caído una bomba atómica, el tiempo se detuvo en este hotel, todo viejo, todo destruido, abandonado, basura por todo lado, las habitaciones estaban medianamente aceptables, pero en realidad un pésimo aspecto. Muy lamentable. Me cobraron de 2 días de “limpieza” que jamás hubo tal cosa. Lo único rescatable es que esta cerca de todo, pero mi familia y yo no quisimos hablar del tema ya, y solo disfrutamos de todo lo demás, menos del hotel. Que lástima.

I didn’t like that the water park wasn’t opened, this wasn’t found out until I drove over 8 hours to get there
They couldn’t find my reservation at first and then they didn’t know how to tell me to get to the motel without using my goggle maps
The room was in terrible condition
The toliet ran constantly unless we physically put the flap down
No maid service the whole time I was there
I went to office to get Wi-Fi password because wasn’t giving to me at check out but it didn’t matter the Wi-Fi didn’t work the whole time I was there
I had to pick up sheets to change our beds myself and they gave me pool towels to dry off with for motel towels and that’s it
The property was very dirty and needed to be cleaned
The creepy garage parking was unsafe and very packed and overcrowded
Their was no rolling luggage carts when we checked in so after driving to get there my husband had to physically unload car by hand because we had a 3 year old that was tired so I couldn’t help him

Going down to the beach in the breeze way was over grown with weeds and grass
I checked in and was told by Expedia I still owed 60 dollars well they charged me almost 68 said it sss for resort fees and taxes
I don’t know how they call this a resort
You got a room , pools and nothing to make it a resort

I constantly smelled marijana on the property, hallways elevators etc
It was a terrible place to stay and I only booked it for the water park for my 3 year old but again didn’t find out it was closed f

False advertisement. The website shows a very large nice water park. It is listed under the amenities. It looks like it has been closed down for a few years. The grounds were trashed and the elevator was nasty and smelled like smoke. The front desk staff were very nice. This is one of two positives. Hotels.com messed up our room, the itinerary they sent was for a 6 person room. The room they booked for us was barely a 4 person room. Sea Mist did compt us a room at no charge. Second positive.
Both SeaMist and Hotels.com ruined our family vacation. They both should be shut down.

We had to purchase cleaning supplies and new bedding bc our pull out bed was nasty and had a huge stain on it. SO we had to throw tons of blankets over it then we bought new bedding for all of our beds and had to buy mop and broom. The only good thing is beach is close, and and trash on walk ways outside, no one walks around and cleans the grounds. there is no room service, no maids daily. only 3 small pools were open. Not the water park. We booked just for water park and expedia fails to update it is closed. We also tried to cancel before we had arrived and check in and were told we would have a $130 fee maybe more from expedia!!!!! I tried to call multiple times the hotel directly & got no one to answer. I also sent them a message & still no response! We decided to stay to not lose money. It was a joke & our room was not like picture but once I cleaned it, moped it and sanitized it.. We had to walk to office- not connectedwith hotel building to get towels. We also bought toilet paper and coffee. there is no toaster. tv was glitchy-not clear picture. there was a party on the roof top down the hall from us-loud music balloons flying all over the property, no one cleaned up. trash was overflowing in our rooms, and the one trash can by elevator in our building had three trash bags sitting next to it and boxes on top! buildings were closed to damage and must been remodeling slowly! they were nice but no maids! Maintenance guy was amazing! beach is close! no vending machine.

Pools and water park attached to the resort was listed as if it was open to the guests and when me and my family get there for my birthday weekend (July 25-28) EVERYTHING was broken. No slides, no water park, no pools, no wifi, satellite T.V so you'll get maybe 3 channels on a good day. Theis place should be condemned, it looks abandoned and i feel as if they are taking advantage of people by listing a \"Dream\" resort online just to find out its a \"Nightmare\" in reality. I definitely go catfished here. I spoke to several guests there that were staying and it was the same story each and everytime. False advertisement for sure. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. The location was nice. The staff was very nice as well. However, the whole reason I picked the resort was for the free water park access. I arrived and all pools, hot tubs and the advertised water park was closed. No water in the pool closed. This was the main photo on the bookimg and nobody bothered to say it was closed. I actually switched a booking for this one. I also could not find the office for almost an hour. There were signs saying where but nothing to tell you, you had arrived. I had to go down a wet, smelly dark stairwell in the unlit parking garage at midnight. Finally the next morning I was changing from a shower, the front door is by the closet and a worker scans his card while knocking, doesnt wait for a response and smashed me in the back while I was undressed and said oh sorry I thought this room was vacant and left. I couldnt go after him for obvious reasons. We left last Monday it is now Friday and I am still mad I wasted money on this place and feel totally swindled. As a property manager, I know damn well he should have waited at least 30 seconds before attempting to enter. Myrtle is fun, the staff was nice but I will never book again.

This property was the sketchiest place I’ve ever stayed in. There were stains on the blankets and sheets, the bathroom was dirty, the refrigerator was dirty, the curtain was dirty, the balcony was dirty, there was a roach in the bathroom that I had to pretend was a beetle so my kids wouldn’t freak out and there was trash just sitting outside the elevator on the floor on the main level for 2 days. The day I checked out the cleaning ladies weren’t wearing clothes to indicate that they were working there; they could have been anybody and the trash was still sitting on the floor outside the elevator. I had hopes for this place since it sits on the beach, but it was horrible.

1. Website says it's Pet Friendly with a pet fee. Upon arrival they told me it's NOT pet friendly & if anyone asks to say I have a service animal. The Pet Policy page on their website is down. Tried calling & e-mailing ahead of time with no response.
2. Lack of employment at the front desk during busy times. One worker is trying to manage the desk and phones, so phones just don't get answered. Lobby was gross, smelled musty, damp. the carpet was covered in stains and littered with garbage like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks.
3. No parking. They direct you down the street to your building & even though there is a parking garage & a few street spots, they were all completely full. Leaving us to park back up at registration & walk down with all our luggage, dog & baby. Super inconvenient.
4. Room was mediocre, sand on the floors and sheets. Bathroom was missing bath towels, when I called down to the desk for some they said they were too busy and I'd be better off coming to get them myself. The registration office is a walk up the street, not just right downstairs.
5. booked a balcony room & the balcony door didn’t open at all. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no answer.
6. All of the pools were closed except one.The rest of them were lime green, hadn’t been drained, cleaned or maintained in god knows how long. water park also isn’t open, with no warning ahead of time.

Everything was very outdated and poorly maintained.

I booked three nights at first and got cancelled by property as over booked, considered lucky as later next day, I managed to book one night myself again as wanted to experience with hotel, found out it was a terrible experience, a lot of trash placed close to elevators, room condition bad, have no internet and even no hair dryer.

Check-in, started with 3 receptionist for approx 20 families checking in. About 1/2 hour into check-in 3 others joined to help, but had to wait 1 1/2 hours for room to be cleaned after complaining to the manager. Found that ALL POOLS except 1 were closed until further notice and the wave pool and slides were closed until further notice for unknown reasons, no compensation when people came here for the water attractions with our kids, drove over 400 miles to stay at this so called resort. Paid resort fees for what? Luckly we brought silverware from home, the room was supposed to have utensils for 4 people, but there was not enough. Flooring was damaged, room smelled like an old sour dirty mop was used, mold along the floor molding in the bathroom, floor felt like sand on the tile. Second day there I asked for new sets of towels and coffee, called 4 times, given different answers from front desk to include that they ran out of coffee, never got the towels or coffee that night. Called on third day at 8:00, was told housekeeping comes in at 9:00, went to the desk at 10:00 just to find out housekeeping just came in at 10:00. I was told that I needed to hunt down housekeeping, found the 1 housekeeper at about 10:45, he told me that they have coffee but no towels, I told him they had towels but no coffee last night. He told me that the washers were broken, he came back 30 minutes later with the towels and the coffee. To many issues and not worth the price. Not recommended.

Had to change my plans the night before at 9:00 I found out that their whole water park and all their pools were shut down by the health department I was lucky to get a place that accepted dogs wasn't the best of place but it was clean so I went over there to look and sure enough the water is still green it's all green and they have cockroaches in the rooms

No smoking facility but smelled like weed the whole stay
All the pools but two were green
Water park was not open as advertised
6th floor room but no elevator to top
We had to walk up the stairs to get to our room

Our room was great! I was unsure due to the horrible reviews, but it was excellent! Almost all the pools are shut down but one, which was disappointing, but we weren't charged for them. The hotel on the outside was a little intimidating, but when I opened the room door it was a different story. There was some DIY looking job on the transition on the floor, but who cares! The room was clean, smelled perfectly fine. The beds were clean and slept okay. We stayed in 40214 I ahve absolutely no complaints about Sea Mist. Staff was very nice. Check in was easy. Staff explained exactly where the building was, parking and gave us a map. Check out was easy too. Would definitely stay here again! No complaints

I will never come back to the sea mist . My four day trip Was enjoyable bkuz my family, but the WiFi didn’t work the entire time . The theme park was closed ,and that was the reason for my booking . Had a suite with a kitchen and they didn’t even have one frying pan we could use or Bowis. Do not waste ur money ,book elsewhere

There was mold in my hotel room which triggers my asthma and sinuses. I asked for towels and never received them. The kiddie pool area was closed down and I booked this hotel particularly for that reason. My grandchildren didn’t get to swim at the kiddie area because of water issues, but that wasn’t posted on the site before I booked. I was told upon check in that I could take my family to 2 other pools to swim but was kicked out which was embarrassing because we weren’t staying at that hotel. All around this was a terrible place to stay.

TERRIBLE FALSE ADVERTISING

When we first got to the “resort” there was at least 10 people in line in front of us. It was chaotic. There was 4 or 5 families waiting for their room to be clean and it was 6:00pm, check in was at 4:00pm. This property has 3 or 4 different buildings which makes it super confusing. We had a hard time finding our room. The parking was RIDICULOUS. We mainly had to park and walk a long ways to get to our room. The pictures on the website made it seem so nice and clean but once we got into our room there was dirt all in the floor. Only one pool was open and the rest were green and no swimming allowed. The air conditioning made a weird noise. The one thing that really irritated us was that the water in the shower was either EXTREMELY hot or freezing cold. Me and my husband literally couldn’t even bear the hot water. I do not recommend this place at all. The false advertising was CRAZY.

Oceanfront. They only had one pool working. We had to get someone to fix the bathroom and ac . It took since 3:00pm until 9:00pm. When they got someone to fix the bathroom and ac in our room. I will not go back. They want you to clean your rooms up yourself when it's time to check out. I didn't like it at all

This is a trash bucket it's a great location because you right on the beach.. I left a day early because I was tired of that trash bucket. The tub didn't work properly and they didn't fix it either, dryed blood was on the wall at the bottom by base board. No towel no sheet the supervisor said they don't service the room anymore. PlZ DONT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE i bought and clean my room for my family. I ask for a refund for one night since we don't have towels sheets and the tub still ain't fix..the Supervisor said we don't do refunds..THIS NOT A RESORT

It was a nightmare! At check in the lobby smelled terrible. We were told that their system was out so they couldn’t properly check us in, but here was our keys and please come next morning to properly check in.
We were then informed all but 1 pool were down. Sun bathing area was closed and no Wi-Fi at all. Room was uncomfortable, the walls had been patched but not painted. Everything was run down. We went to the beach in the evening and couldn’t even find an open place to wash our feet. After a terrible night, no internet or pools, we requested a refund and to leave day early. Never again. (Ps: we stayed there 3 years ago and it was not this bad)

This locations has NO business advertising this property as a destination, much less trying accommodate any people. Absolutely nothing that they portray is factual! There was feces on their stairwell, little to no lighting, filthy everywhere, And all of the amenities, rundown and non-operational. The lazy river was empty and closed and the pools full of allergy completely green. To add insult to injury, people were hang out in front of the room doors being drunk and Obnoxiously inappropriate!

Got to the resort only to discover ALL the pools were closed and no date for them opening. Got to our room and fridge was leaking and not working, none of the outlets worked, lights in the bedroom wasn't working, the ceiling looked like it was going to fall in one spot, pee and hairs on the toilet, couch was dirty. I was there about a hour while trying to book another room and I stood up the whole time .. worst place!! Expedia said no refund. However I spoke to the guy that just started running the place and he was able to get me refund.

Property was just what I expected for the price at last minute. While old and in disrepair, it was obviously being addressed in renovations. The room was dated but clean. Locks were secure and functional. The view was spectacular and unobstructed. The towels were top notch! The front desk/check in staff were friendly, helpful, and fast.

The room was fine for a hotel but awful as a resort. The resort fee felt like a scam, there was nothing “resort” that was open. The room was fine, and clean, very little balcony space but for a day or two stay not wanting to use resort amenities it’s fine. If you want a resort experience don’t stay here.

Balcony doors screwed shut. No working pool or waterpark. Room was hot. Only an air vent in bathroom and bed room. None in living room area. Wifi would not connect. Door key machine not working had to wait for keys for over an hour. When asked for refund because we did not stay there had to wait til next day to get it because they had no cash to give back. Also long line of other customers with different complaints. We stayed there years ago with no problems ad enjoyed it...Never again

Rooms look nothing like the pics. There’s no resort and they charge extra for it. They need to remodel. I seen a dinosaur roach. I don’t think they have housekeepers. We had to go get our own fresh towels & they had no more wash cloths. So very disappointed!

Not recommended first room we checked into tv did. It work smelled like cigs and fridge wouldn’t get cold . They moved us to a second room which smelled like weed and the bathroom was so dirty with left over soap very disappointed with the price I paid it being 12 pm we dealt with it being only a 2 night stay
