I absolutely loved how welcome both my dog and I felt. Appreciated the treats, the bed, the bowls, poo bags and mat for him plus the blanket and sheet to cover the furniture plus plenty of grassed areas and a bin close by. The bath was so very relaxing.

My only complaint is that the property is no longer accepting pet bookings and I was planning to return for 3 nights next April. Now I need to find somewhere else 😭

Simple and nice enough place to stay but not luxurious. Enjoyed having a sofa and a nice big room. But got eaten alive by Mosquitos coming in through big gap under the door - though they do provide bug spray. Motel was located at the top of the town so we drove down for dinner each night - as the bar was not open for 2/3 nights we stayed.

Great location. Very clean. We were in the two bedroom apartment and it was very well appointed. It was a little noisy. More because of thin walls than any kind of commotion. Unfortunately the on site restaurant was closed during our stay. Would stay again.

Good basic accommodation at the quiet end of Tanunda, typically at a good price. It's an Accor property so you can trust it to be clean and well equipped with the essentials (e.g. iron, ironing board). I travelled for business and would use this as a reliable place to stay - note that it's better if you have a car.

The Room has very little bench space and the dining table & bedside table are way too small. The Bathroom/Toilet is small & tight and the shower we hated as there was no shower door so when you shower under the Rain shower the bathroom floor gets wet so for god sack install a glass door on the shower. You can see where the door frame and main bathroom door have water damage and are tatty from continually getting wet. The Vanity and basin are very small because of the size of the room so hard to fit both our toiletries on the small bench around the small basin.
The room needs more bench space.
The Buffet Breakfast was all cold the whole lot so not really enjoyable they need heating dishes to keep food warm. Pillows way to thick they do your neck in.

We had a one bedroom unit for our 4-night stay during Christmas. Overall, it was a good stay with a few hiccups.

Our room key card stopped working twice. Both times that happened were when the reception was not manned. We have to called the afterhour number to get help, which took a while for someone to answer.

The room was spacious and new. The whole hotel complex is big and has plenty of parking. It has a washer/dryer and a cooktop, microwave, which was convenient. However, a retractable clothline in the big bathroom would also be convenient.

The shower pressure was low. The worst part was the shower door. The seal was not installed properly. So we have water leaked through every time we showered and had water ran all across the bathroom floor. It was a mess. We used several bathmats to stop the water running so that we can have a dry bathroom floor.

The living room doesn't have a blackout blind and it is facing the street. So it has no privacy and is so bright at night due to the street lights outside. We have the sofabed set up in the living room. So it not comfortable for the person sleeping in that room. The whole unit has only one mirror, which is the bathroom mirror. A fullsize dress mirror in the bedroom would be nice.

Check-in and check-out were smooth and at first glance, the room finishes are nice. But overall, what this venue is, is a motel built probably in about the 1970s where you park outside your door (not classy, not luxurious).

There is no real 'Barossa' feel inside the venue, its simply a good location to base yourself.

I would also say this venue is overpriced for the accommodation it offers.

Weintal was in a quiet location in Tanunda, and was a great place to stay. We loved the friendly proficient staff and the room was very comfortable; the only thing we didn’t love was the bathroom towels, they were off white (not white as they should have been) and they smelted like smoked corn or something similar, was not a comforting thing!

The room was lovely and the mattress on the bed was amazing. We both slept really well. The buffet was new and we were ok with that, but on both mornings, we got there at 9am and had to wait on eggs and bacon, as bay was empty. Think they were still getting used to this service. They did do coffee orders which was awesome. I was surprised that whilst everything on the inside was great, the outside area, especially opposite the dinning and bar area looked a little unkept and under watered. To match the inside, I would suggest a bit more attention required on sweeping/hosing off porch area, removing cobwebs and mulching garden beds. It wasn't terrible, but bit of a lost opportunity to wow. Other than those minor points, we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were excellent. Location to all the attractions was also very good. It was quite and safe.

The complex is nice, clean and comfortable and the complimentary wine and nibbles were a nice touch. The reason for our 3 star review is the adjoining door between rooms, which was paper thin, not a solid wood door as it should be, and it was installed poorly, with a large gap underneath - around 3cm or so. Consequently, we could hear every word of the conversations of the people next door. And light from their room would shine into ours under the door, until we put a towel down to block the light. Anyhow, they were our only criticisms.

Very poor communications.
We received an email to advise reception closed at 4pm on a Sunday. We arrived prior to find it unattended, with a an after hours number to call. The number went un-answered for a long time (with frequent msg's apologising due to the high number of calls)...yeah right.... a Sunday afternoon in Tanunda could not be any more sleepy.
Room was then navigated OK, but was told everything else in the hotel on Sunday was not open.. bar, restaurant etc.. (make that Monday as well)
The hotel itself seemed great, and would definitely visit again, but next time later in the week.
