This has to be the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel. I requested a non-smoking room and when I arrived at the hotel lobby, the lady behind the desk was yelling at a customer on the phone and once she hung up, she started complaining about her boss who leaves her \"crap\" to do and then she decided to wait on me. I confirmed \"twice\" that the room was NS and she said yes. Once I got to the room, it smelled like someone smoked a carton of cigs in there and I immediately called the front desk and she said, well maybe you are smelling the room next to you and I said \"no\" this room absolutely stinks like smoke. I asked to be moved and she said she could not move me and I advised, I am not staying in this room and she offered to have someone \"spray\" the room and I said, nothing will get this smell out and I went back down to the lobby and gave her the key and she was yelling at me and said \"we will tell expedia that we offered to spray your room so you will not get a refund\", I said \"I will be calling Expedia myself\". As I was walking out the lobby, she was still yelling at me and I walked by a guy who apparently was going to spray the room and he had a can of Lysol. Also, one more thing, my BF went to use the restroom as soon as we got to the room and he told me there was feces left on the toilet... DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL ! I also called Red Roof Inn Headquarters.

This was by far the worst hotel experience myself and my Husband has ever experienced!!! The cleanliness was HORRIBLE!! I requested to be moved to another room, really we wanted a refund as soon as we walked into our room, but when I went back down to the front desk, and this was as soon as we got into the room, I just want everyone to know that we didn't wait to ask for someone to assist us with the situation, when I went to the front desk for help with the problem, I was told that nothing can be done about it, the gentleman said he only is there to watch the front desk, and he doesn't have anything to do with housekeeping, that housekeeping needs to step up their game, he was laughing about it. Then the next morning I showed the images of the cleanliness of the room to the GM, I do believe that it's privately owned, they don't give REFUNDS!! AGAIN, THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS!! Even if they are the problem. We're so disappointed that they are even able to be on

We have booked \"Non Smoking room\". THey gave us \"Smoking Room\". If the room is not available for any reason, they should have called us. We reached the hotel around 11:30 PM. We were tired. We could not cancel and go around for another place to stay.

I told the reception. When you know it is not available, please call the customer. So that they can cancel and stay somewhere else.

too bad. We could not sleep well because othe smell.

I hope they will call the customer upfront in future.

Sketche people hanging in the parking lot and trash over flowing outside on to the ground pure disgusting and worst part was they gave us a room that we walked in on someone living in it. Clothes and pizza boxes all over the floor. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If i could i would rate it negative stars.

The room climate was good, about the only good thing, there was adjustable AC and heat. The parking area on the smoker side was full of cigarette butts and dirt. Looks very unswept and unkept. I did have a smoking room but you can see smoke areas that were not cleaned from the walls. The covers for the ceiling lights had black marks on them that was perhaps grease or tar. When I went to wipe it the black marks did come off. The room hair dryer they provide was dirty not wiped off. There was only one trash can in the whole room. They have a lack of wash Rags you're lucky to get one. And if you have a room on the second floor be aware because there is no lights in the hallways for the steps going up and down. The mirrors were not clean. As stated on their site their coffee makers are provided in the rooms. There was no coffee maker. You had to go downstairs to the office where coffee was supposed to be available from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; however, that machine was broke. The last time I stayed it was also broke. Under the circumstances, I have to give this hotel/motel the rating I feel it deserves, a 2 poor.

Had to be put intoa new room after arriving due to no refrigerator second room was dirty had black mold all over the ceiling in the shower floors were disgusting nothing was wiped down used cups under the bed. We stayed here a few yrs ago and was moved to new rooms because there was literally human feces behind the bathroom door cover with a towel. The price is great and the area is convenient but after giving it another try we wont be back hotel has potential but needs alot of updating and a good cleaning the morning we left the cleaners were waiting at the door to clean no cart just a bucket and clean towels we watched as she walked straight in and made the bed never even changed the sheets the gentlemen swept the floors out on the side walk and they walked back out didnt wipe or clean a thing. Theres cheaper prices and nicer hotels in the area save your self and go some where else

It wasn’t clean. I killed 10-12 “stink bugs”. The shampoo dispenser was empty. The refrigerator was barely cool and it was turned up to the highest coldness. The walls seemed paper-thin where I could hear everything outside. Microwave was dirty and rusty inside.

Wasn’t greeted respectfully, the lady working was very rude and disrespectful. Kept saying she wasn’t going to check me in because she refused to stay over.. and sent me to the electronic check in just to tell me I couldn’t stay because I have to many kids and it’s a fire hazard when I am homeless and my kids are in school and need somewhere to sleep. Very disrespectful and will never bring my service back to this hotel ever again.

The woman at the desk when we checked in was so sweet. She even gave us some food ideas for breakfast. We were with family and when we asked for room close together she put us in side by side rooms. It was perfect. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable.

The worst & most filthy place on earth!!

I requested 2 rooms. I should have known there would be a problem when they said each room is only allowed 4 guests so if you have 3 children, they will refuse to accommodate you
My daughter arrived first and went to her room, just look at the photos! It was so far beyond disgusting there are no words! My daughter complained to the front desk and said she was calling the corporate office. They told her to go ahead because they don't believe how filthy this place is! Even the staff complain that the rooms aren't cleaned and corporate doesn't care. How are they in business?!
They clearly do not wash the sheets or clean the bathroom. This is a health hazard. If you want a terminal illness, ignore my review. The health department needs to shut them down!
Needless to say I demanded my money back and we went to a clean hotel that isn't rented out by the hour.

This property is a very old motel with nicely renovated rooms. The budget shoppers definitely choose this motel as their go to when visiting Cincinnati as seen by the license plates from all over the country. About a 20 minutes drive to downtown, this motel is on an exit where new Hotels are being built. The outside of the building is not appealing at all but the rooms are. There were a couple of stains on the sheets, but nothing that were left behind by previous guests, they were clean. When shopping the bottom 1 or 2 % of the hotels that's being offered, you cannot expect perfection. The area is safe, quiet, and walkable, with Skyline's famous chili spaghetti there waiting for you. When traveling to the city from this direction have your cameras ready, this is the view you want. And enjoy your stay in the much improved city of Cincinnati.

The coffee machine was broken!!!!!
It was very noisy because of all the trucks driving by.
The location was great, in that it was close enough to our destination points in the area. Other places closer were much more expensive, especially since we were mainly just sleeping there. We didn't like that there were no windows that could let in fresh air. The fan was loud, and we aren't fond of air conditioning.

As they say, it's like putting lipstick on a pig. Someone has tried to make it look nice, but it's just surface level stuff. The place was not the cleanest. They had no breakfast, and no coffee. Not in the rooms... not at all. It's a place to lay your head, but for a few more dollars you could stay somewhere cleaner, with basic amenities available.

The front desk clerk was very rude. We arrived after 9 pm. They did not give us the room that we paid. When asked they said there was an issue. There was no issue they just gave our room away. I was told that to be on the ground floor was for one night people.. But they did give me a ground-floor room. I got two queen beds I did not want but had to settle for. I requested extra towels and washcloths they said the hotel does not give out extra towels... I was rudely talk to by the front desk.

You could smell a strong cover fragrance in the lobby/check in 2 doors down and then when I entered my room it smelled like chemicals, mold and body odor combined. The floors were extremely dirty. I tried to switch rooms but there wasn't anything but smoking rooms available.

There was blood stained mattresses in both rooms. Mold in the bathrooms. Lights hanging. Both tubs filthy. One refrigerator didn't work. Blow dryer looked like it had poop all over it. There were 8 of us amongst the two rooms and they wouldn't give us more than two sets of towels. The staff were rude. When I left there I flat out told them that they should be ashamed of themselves.

Excellent for a night stay for road trip

Building is old, but newly renovated. Very close to the exit/entrance of highway, gas station, and Waffle House!! All we needed for 1-night stay were there! Clean comfortable bed, clean shower with good hot water. Very reasonable price. Pet friendly as well.

BED BUGS STAY AWAY

When i booked the room i asked for non smoking. Upon arrival there was no non-smoking rooms available. I was exhausted ehen arriving due to a jouse fire i took the room anyways. The lobby was very nice and clean amd as the pictures showed. When going to the room there was an over powering smoke smell in the room and the floor was clearly unswept or mopped but i could deal with that from being exhausted. I layed down and was out in no time i woke around 5 hours later around 6am and felt something crawling on my arm and there was a bed bug. I only used 1 bed and pulled the blanket back on the 2nd bed and there were multiple bugs on that bed as well. Went to the office and they refused to do anything since it wasnt reported within 30 minutes. I will never stay here again.

Arrived and approached the lady at the front desk, before I could even speak she said “We’re completely full and only smoking rooms left!” I explained I had a reservation. She just points. I stood there and she pointed again to a kiosk across the room. I said “what?” She pointed again and said “check in over there!” Very unprofessional. The room was disgusting, burn holes in the sheets/mattress pad. Floor had not been cleaned, and the room was musty. We were so exhausted from driving all evening, so we stripped the top cover, and put our own blanket and slept. You get what you pay for, but this was just nasty.

We booked a king handicapped accessible room and they refused to give it to us. They said it was \"out of service.\" (After confirming our reservation) I had to use the bathroom with the door open. Even when you are married you'd like a little privacy. Burn holes in the bedding, insects in the sink area, loose crude in the corners. Every other place we've been has plastic cups by the sink. None here.
The fridge had a freezer so we were able to refreeze our ice bottles for the cooler. Microwave worked well.
Parking was convenient, bed was comfortable. Pillows were flat but I always bring my own.

Hope you don't get the pleasure of checking in with Darlene. She's a real \"peach\". Booking with Expedia it sent over the request as a smoking room when we are non-smokers. She was so hung up on the smoking policy she wasn't even listening when I tried to ask to be switched to a non-smoking room. She then got biligerant and when asked if this was her attitude she proceeded to state she's had 17 years in the business and knows people like me and not too worry the whole thing is being recorded. Look at the reviews and she's been getting away with this for over a year. NEVER would stay here again just because of her even though once in the room it was comfortable. Oh, and housekeeping tried walking into our room at 8:10 in the morning. Maybe the owner or Red Roof Inn corporate will one day realize what a detriment she is to their business.

Good stay, great value.

Well-sized, very comfortable room. Clean in the middles (don't look in the corners or behind the bathroom door - you'll find a crumb collection.) But the sheets and towels were clean, the beds were comfortable, the water was hot and plentiful - it was a good stay at a great price.

Okay for the price and a short stay

When we first checked in the lady at the desk was a bit rude and a little short with me for no reason. The room had a weird, overwhelming smell and wasn’t overly clean. There were a few bugs which may be normal, but just wanted to state that. We also made sure to bring our own pillows and blankets as we didn’t exactly have faith in the cleanliness of the ones here. Overall, we only needed a place to sleep for the night, so it was fine for the price and purpose.

It was not stocked for 4 people (2 towels, 2 cups, NO Soap, Lotion, Shampoo - All Empty). Our family with small children did not feel safe here. The second i walked in,the older woman at the desk was super rude.
At first she said we couldnt have the lower lever because of a service animal. I said,okay..We booked the kind bed. Then she stated we couldnt have a king bed because of a service animal. So, we got the 2nd level with double beds. (Woman that stayed on first floor stated, she couldnt get the 2nd level because of a dog?! She also stated her door wouldn't lock. She had to put a chair in front of it) We went into the our room.
Wow! The room hadnt been cleaned. We stay in expensive and cheap hotels all the time. We aren't too picky.This was a $50 room. There was smudges of food,grease, maybe some poop all over the phone, dresser,microwave,walls. Found a dead beg bug under the mattress. Roaches by the door. Dirt build up everywhere. Sheets had alot of stains. Hair on pillowcases. Either housekeeping is lazy or this room hasnt been touched in ages. Customer service can ruin a stay very quickly. You never know what people are going through, so you should treat them with kidness. Maybe she gave me a room that hasn't been touched in years or the rooms are just that bad.

Couldn't even find this motel, so drove to Dry Ridge for a room !!! Local people I asked didn't even know where it was !!!

Quick stop

Hotel is going under some renovations. Our room was updated with some comfortable beds and the basics, it would have been nice to have our own coffee maker… At least there’s a Waffle House next door and a gas station. Our room could have been better cleaned, we find some hairs in the bathroom and around the beds, but overall ok.

Good rest stop

Under construction but very clean and comfortable. Obviously the place is being up graded.
Close to the highway which is a win for us.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Only thing is there was some kind of construction going on and there trucks and equipment everywhere. I know they have to work but it was kind of in the way. It was a good stay.
