Awful, awful hotel. Rude staff, services didn't work on room TV. Can't get it fixed. Dated rooms, leaky shower, horrible beds and pillows especially. We were unable to sleep for all 5 nights! Over 200 euros a night and no sleep, we will never return to this hotel. No air con so have to keep windows open but there are drunk people outside screaming through the night, also hotel chose not to inform guests that building works with heavy machine start at 7.30am outside windows! Breakfast is poor, no real bacon, unwashed lettuce with horrible black stuff on most mornings. There are way better options in town now, avoid this hotel!

Could be cleaner

I have stayed at this location several times in the past. Although it still needs to be refurbished, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room after we checked in. As an example, glasses weren't clean and had small pieces of paper stuck to them and small pieces of paper were on the floor throughout the room.
The breakfast was the standard Scandic breakfast and service was friendly as well.

OK stay the city centre

I was transferred from another hotel operating under the same brand and the stay was somewhat underwhelming. The staff was friendly, but hotel’s public spaces are worn and the decor is out of date. The view from my room was to a garage. The breakfast was rather scaled back due to COVID with only few guests at the venue, but some things ran out before the end of service. OK for short business trips, but not for any kind of romantic getaways or staycations.

Overgrowded breakfast and trough service

The hotel had a great location, right at the downtown, but the service was poor: a person in the reception didn't bother to smile and I felt like she being too busy to answer my questions. I tried to ask about saunas and gym and she was just telling that I find the info in the booklet at the room and hurried me to continue from her desk. I felt like being on her way when she was here to serve some more important customers. The most horrible experience ever was the breakfast: I went there with the kids 1,5 hours before closing, to avoid the rush. But the lines were horrible, there was no empty table left, we had to wait the meal like in some lousy gas station, the people just standing with their plates as there was no place to sit. When we finally found a table it wasn't in the restaurant area but in the lobby. The people were standing back and forth all the time. Almost all the food from the breakfast table was gone before we got there and every object we had to wait quite a long time. I didn't feel like spending a peaceful holiday morning with a nice breakfast. Instead my kids got sad as not having the same things the people next to us were eating, I got mad as had to wait over 20min to have a cop of coffee and I really felt like the hotel breakfast was over booked considering its premises. Expecially in these corona times it really felt unsecure and stupid; and not even nice and peaceful what should be the main point in hotel breakfasts.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Close to the major shopping, the city square, the river and the nightlife. The hotel service was very helpful, polite, willing to help and curious to foreigners. The room faced a tree lined street which gave it a nice calm feel. The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant food was good. The bathrooms could be modernized and the restaurant service was a bit confusing. The breakfast selection was typical Finnish style but some other Finnish restaurants offered a few more options. Overall, it was a good stay and recommended for visiting Turku.

The hotel was very conveniently located, and the staff at reception were very welcoming and friendly. That said, the hotel was very basic and the rest of the staff (at breakfast, housekeeping did not look happy). It was very easy to get around Turku, from the hotel.

A relaxing experience

The stay was good, but not very special. Breakfast ordinary. The location in the center of the city with a lot of shops and cafes and art museums was great. The room and corridor were quiet, no disturbances. The curtains for the night could have been better, shutting out the light completely.

The first room was a bit small but otherwise OK. However it did not have tea making facilities. We spoke to the front desk about getting a kettle and after some discussions with them they upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost.
The staff were always friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained.

Very basic hotel with minimal amenities. Parking was puzzling and hotel staff were marginally helpful. I guess they expect everybody to know the \"Finnish way\" instinctively. Unfortunately I am not one of them and will not stay at this hotel again. BTW, this hotel way to expensive for what you get!!!

Great reception service. Here's a tip: all Scandic Plaza hotels have rooms fitted out for a disable person. This simply means that is it is much larger and the toilets have no bath. If one is available, ask to be upgraded.

The hotel was a little shabby especially after staying at the new Tampere Station hotel. The room was reasonably sized but the lighting was limited and the bathroom was small. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel was difficult to find since it was located at the end of a pedestrian mall.

I stayed here for a few days on business. The staff are excellent, as is the food but the rooms are basic and mine was distictly chilly. There is a Sauna but I didn't use it. The hotel in a good central location, easy walking distance from the railway station.
All in all, not bad but I'll probably try the other Scandic in town on my next visit.

I only stayed here one night, but it was a good hotel. Wifi in the room, very central location, near station and main square. Good size room, friendly reception. I missed breakfast, so can't comment. All in all it was fine and I had a good night's sleep (which is rare for me!)

Very well situated, but thats about the only really good thing about it. Ive been to several dozens of Scandic hotels in Scandinavia and this was certainly not the most impressive ive visited.

It was almost unbearably warm in the room since there was no air condition. The \"extra bed\" was a 5cm thick matress on the floor. The breakfast was mediocre at best.

I went for a rave, this hotel gets a rave review.

I went to Turku to see the awesome DJ Proteus. This hotel was perfectly located 2 minutes walk from the Club, \"Klubbi\", and a short walk from the other sites I saw such as the cathedral and museums.

The staff were always friendly, accomodating and professional. They helped me frequently with finding things around town and with my travel. The breakfast buffet was fantastic - no cold leftovers if you arrived an hour after the start, everything fresh.

Room was very comfortable and well maintained. Plenty of space to relax in. Great bathroom for post-rave cleansing.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to my mates.

Convenient hotel in the centre of Turku

A nice, reasonably-priced hotel, friendly and helpful staff and a central location.

Just two small problems: whoever made up the room had tried to use two single sheets to cover a larger sized bed, and keeping the window open at night meant I was listening to drunken shouts and what passed for singing, late into the night.

Amazing Hotel

This is a very stylish hotel brandishing Brygmann's beautiful architecture and period modernist decor. Everything about our stay was exquisite, tasteful, comfortable and the balcony view (with double French doors) was wonderful. Right across the street from Stockmann's, so getting tasty treats and food for entire meals was a breeze as was a shopping. A must-stay in Turku!

Vastaanotto oli ok (jos ei huomioi tupakan savua vaatteissa).
Huone oli puhdas, maisema kiva mutta joko huoneessa on ollut eläimiä tai siellä on sisäilmaongelma, allergialääkkeet joutui hakemaan apteekista jo puolen tunnin huoneessa olon jälkeen. Tämän lisäksi huoneessa oli kuuma eikä ilmastointia saanut pienemmälle. Jouduimme nukkumaan ikkuna auki ja alhaalta tuleva melu (lauantai-ilta) kuului ylös hyvin.
Tämän lisäksi jossain lähistöllä olevassa huoneessa (viereisessä?) oli koira, joka haukkui yhtä soittoa kun omistajat eivät olleet huoneessa. Kuulimme sen jo iltapäivällä lauantaina ja heräsimme siihen sunnuntaina.

Aamiainen oli runsas ja monipuolinen, siitä toinen tähti!

Se että huoneeseen pääsee vasta klo 16 ei ole hyvä ja sitä kannattaisi muuttaa aikaisemmaksi.

Respan henkilökunta oli tullessa ja lähtiessä hyvin ystävällistä, suorastaan mukavaa. Huone oli hyvä. Ravintolan ainoana asiakkaana oli vähän yksinäistä, mutta palvelu oli reipasta. Ruoka ei ihan yltänyt loistava-kategoriaan.

Ei ole hintansa väärti

Huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia, vaan jäähdytyspaneeli ja se ei kyllä viilentänyt huonetta lämpimällä säällä vaikka oli säädetty minimiin (20 astetta). Piti nukkua ikkuna auki ja kadun melun takia ei saatu kunnolla nukuttua.

Aamiaisalue on aika pieni ja viereinen kokoustila(?), joka oli valjastettu pöytätilaksi, oli aika hiostava ja täynnä. Terassin puolelle sai onneksi mennä syömään, siellä oli väljää ja parempi ilma.

Huoneessa oli pitkiä hiuksia lattialla ja sängyssä, kun tulimme huoneeseen ja asetuimme ns. taloksi.
Aula ja aamiaistila oli uudistettu, mutta kerrokset ja huoneet kaipaisivat pientä pintaremonttia.
Wc-tiloissa ja suihkussa oli hometta lattiatasoilla ja seinien alaosissa. Homeelle altistuneena en olisi tullut, jos olisin tiennyt.
Aamupala (myös gluteeniton ja maidoton tarjonta) oli erinomainen. Kiitos siitä.

Tykkäsin tosi paljon! Mukava henkilökunta, hyvä aamiainen, siisti huone ja mukava sänky. Tiesin, että hotellissa on sauna, mutta oletin sen olevan sekasauna. Usein hotelleissa, joissa oon yöpynyt, on ollut näin. Oli ihana kuulla paikan päällä, että naisten puoli oli erikseen ja sai olla ilman uikkareita. Ehkä saunaa ajatellen olisin toivonut, että siellä olisi ollut seinäkello, koska olin yksin liikkeellä ja aika viime tingassa siellä, niin ajan seuraaminen oli haastavaa kun piti koko ajan mennä katsomaan kännykkää. Myös vaikkapa koodilla lukittava lokero olisi ollut kiva, ettei olisi tarvinnut kännykkää jättää vartioimatta pukkariin. Muutoin ei kyllä valittamista, yöpyisin mielellään uudelleenkin.
